Yep, major damage control going on over there. Three pronged attack for sure.
They are so darned quick to quash dissension (or so they think) and sooooooo slow at actually doing anything to address the root problems causing that dissension. I now predict a backlash move of the voices getting louder and more numerous on the other major sites like 2 peas and scs.
Wow, didn't know that they actually never fully rectified that prize situation with Christina Maclaren. I remember when she blogged about it. That's so crazy...
You can tell when something they've said in a thread has been quoted, but you can't see their actual posts in the thread (because they've been deleted).

I can't stand Dawn starting the stupid "fun question of the day". Her intention, as well as others ass-lickers, is to make the serious threads disappear. Somebody said she was put there to help out with cs but I think she has no integrity when she's "covering" all pti's crap and just posts stupid things. wow, I had no idea so many people had not received their prizes. So many! You know, throughout all this PTI CS crap I have often thought "why?" and had always come to the conclusion that it was all just ineptness and total lack of business sense and skills. Reading that thread about the prizes and hearing about the anniversary set debacle I no longer think it is just that. I really really think now that they are just effing greedy!! And it makes me so mad for all those people that have cheated and are still being cheated. Shame on you PTI!

I don't blame Dawn for starting that thread. Hell, I would if I were in her shoes. It's got to be crazy behind the scenes and she was told (I am guessing) to try to lighten up the situation in the forum.

I was banned with no warning... I do have an order and refund owed to me. Just praying that I get it! I created another account but am just going to lay low and lurk.
So ODD! I was just on the forum and there was a post by "Guest" with a posting date of 12/31/1969. Yes, 1969! There was no title to click on so I was unable to open post so I refreshed and it was gone...
I'm so pissed right now. DT members jumping into threads and helping specific people. How do they choose which people to help from the myriad that need it? Someone jump into mine and get me a solution! I am ready to post a new thread saying DT MEMBERS SOS!

I have been pruning user accounts all day in an effort to speed up the forum. I have also been getting rid of as many of the SPAM accounts as I possibly can in order to reduce the posts generated by the BOTS. Part of that process deletes accounts and removes all posts generated by those accounts... I did notice a couple of times during the pruning process that the system sort of "hung" and generated an error...I am so sorry if the result of my efforts has caused your account to be deleted :( It was of course never my intention...
I hope this is an isolated incident, and I will forward this to our systems administrator to see if it can be corrected...

Actually, I think that mod warning on the SCS thread could well have been directed at the two bitches who were jumping all over the other posters. One of them wrote "mob mentality" and the other really rubbed peoples' noses in it with this nice parting shot: "Now, I will slide off of my little soap box that I just created and watch the fireworks rain down on me. All while using my PTI paper that arrived yesterday" *winky smile*
So Linda posted the question about losing her login. Rick said it was not intentional. So I went back and recreated mine. First post is moderated. We'll see if it goes through or if they kick my ass out again.

I don't get to spend a lot of time doing this sort of thing for the forum, and I noticed when connecting to the forum today that I would get a service unavailable about every third time. We had about 27000 members, of which 2000 or so are active users. I was hoping that pruning the forum would speed up the system and decrease the possibility that the SQL database would get totally corrupted and die altogether.
Seems to me the perfect time to make the forum run at it's best.....

After waiting three months to use these gift certificates, knowing that there was one problem after another that made it less than likely to have a satisfactory experience, I was encouraged last night when I saw that the issue of using the older GCs had been resolved, only to find out today that, well, really, it's been resolved only a bit of the way.
Much of this never would have happened if the generous family members who purchased these GCs for me had had the option to buy one GC in the amount they wanted. Instead, to get to the total dollar amount desired, the system required the purchase of multiples. Now PTI has had the money for nearly three months, I have nothing to show for it, and every day brings more news that increases a lot of people's concerns that this is a sinking ship that we will watch go down without being given a legitimate opportunity to recoup (make the purchases on unused GCs and use reward points) our investment.

I disagree that this should have been posted with the current wording. I think that Nichole cares a lot about what is going on. She could lose her business.Unfortunately,she is not a business woman and is at best, 1/3 of a company that really has no clue. I'm not trying to paint Nichole as a victim because she certainly has shown her fair share of passive/aggressive snark, but, is there anything that she can say at this point? That ship is long gone.
^^^ I have to respectfully disagree. After the FB posts, it's obvious that Nichole is a big part of the problem. I would like to protect her and pretend that she is the victim, but after seeing those FB posts I now firmly believe she is also to blame.
Dawn's answer- Lola, they're working on it today, so hopefully that means that they'll have it fixed soon. I don't know much the gift certificates are for, but at least you can use them one at a time, if you absolutely don't want to wait until you can use them all at once. Hopefully it'll be resolved quickly so you don't have to wait at all any more. :sunny:

I'm so proud to say that the SECOND I got mistreated I said SEE YA! It was the best decision I ever made and I don't regret it for a minute. I was threatened that my "success" would be haulted, but that didn't stop me. It was awful to see the quick turn things took when people started getting "big". Suddenly we were suppose to take being mistreated and our hard work went unappreciated and abused (because we did work really hard to promote such a company) . I am however mesmerized by the fact that despite some of the obvious drama and poor customer service, WHY people still put up with everything. That is no way ANYONE should be treated especially customers. I get emails about THEIR customer service for product I had there YEARS ago and sadly can't help with it. I would never treat my designers or customers so poorly and if I did I wouldn't expect them to BOW to me. I am thankful that I too was able to work with you all and meet some amazing cyber friends! I've tried to imagine the meeting where one of PTI principals made the sugggestion that the best way to deal with their customer service issues and gain back the confidence and respect of their customers was to delete weeks worth of emails. Who among them had the guts to make that suggestion in the first place. I would have been afraid I'd be carted off in a funny white coat or beaten senseless (oh wait, I'd already be senseless---common senseless, that is). Amazing though that for public consumption all this is a "bump" in the road. Let's see, I'm speeding down a road with lots of warnings that a cliff is coming. What to do----turn right, turn left, put on the brakes----no----I put my hands over my eyes and go "Wheeeeeee, it's release day!"

Reading that email from Nichole and the Dawn's "anwers" to question reminds of the scene from Monty Python's Holy Grail movie. The one where the black knight is getting cut to pieces and he keeps minimizing everything. At this point they are a legless, armless torso twisting on the ground and bleeding profusely from all their wounds. But they just keep minimizing everything, "It's just a scratch, get back here!" lol

I don't think Dawn is being fake in her responses. I think she's truly concerned and is doing her best to convey that concern.
She's gained HUGE points with me, actually. I think she's NOT saying a lot of things intentionally - she hasn't excused PTI's actions once. I think she's trying to acknowledge the problems as covertly as she can.
Her responses on the DT inspiration forum were interesting. She hinted at the fact that product is often not sent to the DT in a timely fashion - read again.
That, coupled with the FB comments from former DT members, makes it crystal clear to me that Nichole is as awful to deal with as the other two heads of the snake. I think they thought they could treat people like trash forever & the people would beg for more.
Dawn's "fun question of the day" makes me think of all those stamps set you guys wanted here. Those "free Nichole" sentiments.... well, Dawn opened up the area for you guys :D

wow, I had no idea so many people had not received their prizes. So many! You know, throughout all this PTI CS crap I have often thought "why?" and had always come to the conclusion that it was all just ineptness and total lack of business sense and skills. Reading that thread about the prizes and hearing about the anniversary set debacle I no longer think it is just that. I really really think now that they are just effing greedy!! And it makes me so mad for all those people that have cheated and are still being cheated. Shame on you PTI!

I have been pruning user accounts all day in an effort to speed up the forum. I have also been getting rid of as many of the SPAM accounts as I possibly can in order to reduce the posts generated by the BOTS. Part of that process deletes accounts and removes all posts generated by those accounts... I did notice a couple of times during the pruning process that the system sort of "hung" and generated an error...I am so sorry if the result of my efforts has caused your account to be deleted :( It was of course never my intention...
I hope this is an isolated incident, and I will forward this to our systems administrator to see if it can be corrected...

Dawn, believe me when I say that any information is appreciated. After waiting three months to use these gift certificates, knowing that there was one problem after another that made it less than likely to have a satisfactory experience, I was encouraged last night when I saw that the issue of using the older GCs had been resolved, only to find out today that, well, really, it's been resolved only a bit of the way.
Much of this never would have happened if the generous family members who purchased these GCs for me had had the option to buy one GC in the amount they wanted. Instead, to get to the total dollar amount desired, the system required the purchase of multiples. Now PTI has had the money for nearly three months, I have nothing to show for it, and every day brings more news that increases a lot of people's concerns that this is a sinking ship that we will watch go down without being given a legitimate opportunity to recoup (make the purchases on unused GCs and use reward points) our investment.
Maybe Jenn flew to Ohio to personally pack and mail out anniversary sets and prize packages.

I disagree that this should have been posted with the current wording.
I think that Nichole cares a lot about what is going on. She could lose her business.Unfortunately,she is not a business woman and is at best, 1/3 of a company that really has no clue.
I'm not trying to paint Nichole as a victim because she certainly has shown her fair share of passive/aggressive snark, but, is there anything that she can say at this point? That ship is long gone.
^^^ I have to respectfully disagree. After the FB posts, it's obvious that Nichole is a big part of the problem. I would like to protect her and pretend that she is the victim, but after seeing those FB posts I now firmly believe she is also to blame.

Lola, they're working on it today, so hopefully that means that they'll have it fixed soon. I don't know much the gift certificates are for, but at least you can use them one at a time, if you absolutely don't want to wait until you can use them all at once. Here! Here! Girl you know I need to chime in seeing this. While I haven't even bothered to keep up with whats up on "the other side" I have heard its gotten bad from their customers. I'm so proud to say that the SECOND I got mistreated I said SEE YA! It was the best decision I ever made and I don't regret it for a minute. I was threatened that my "success" would be haulted, but that didn't stop me. It was awful to see the quick turn things took when people started getting "big". Suddenly we were suppose to take being mistreated and our hard work went unappreciated and abused (because we did work really hard to promote such a company) . I am however mesmerized by the fact that despite some of the obvious drama and poor customer service, WHY people still put up with everything. That is no way ANYONE should be treated especially customers. I get emails about THEIR customer service for product I had there YEARS ago and sadly can't help with it. I would never treat my designers or customers so poorly and if I did I wouldn't expect them to BOW to me. I am thankful that I too was able to work with you all and meet some amazing cyber friends! Love to ya girls!!

I've tried to imagine the meeting where one of PTI principals made the sugggestion that the best way to deal with their customer service issues and gain back the confidence and respect of their customers was to delete weeks worth of emails. Who among them had the guts to make that suggestion in the first place. I would have been afraid I'd be carted off in a funny white coat or beaten senseless (oh wait, I'd already be senseless---common senseless, that is). Amazing though that for public consumption all this is a "bump" in the road. Let's see, I'm speeding down a road with lots of warnings that a cliff is coming. What to do----turn right, turn left, put on the brakes----no----I put my hands over my eyes and go "Wheeeeeee, it's release day!"

Aha, well, that will slow down the forum and so Dick will need to do some more "pruning" to speed things up again.
If you click on the title of the current post ("A post:O" at the moment), then when you go to the bottom, there's a link to "newer/newest" posts. If you instead click on the "285 comments" link, there is no link at the bottom of the first 200 to get you to the newer/newest posts. (I'm using Firefox. Your mileage may vary.)
I posted in a thread, received a response where my post was quoted. However my original post is not in the thread. Weird

I don't think Dawn is being fake in her responses. I think she's truly concerned and is doing her best to convey that concern.
She's gained HUGE points with me, actually. I think she's NOT saying a lot of things intentionally - she hasn't excused PTI's actions once. I think she's trying to acknowledge the problems as covertly as she can.
Her responses on the DT inspiration forum were interesting. She hinted at the fact that product is often not sent to the DT in a timely fashion - read again.
That, coupled with the FB comments from former DT members, makes it crystal clear to me that Nichole is as awful to deal with as the other two heads of the snake. I think they thought they could treat people like trash forever & the people would beg for more.
Dawn's "fun question of the day" makes me think of all those stamps set you guys wanted here. Those "free Nichole" sentiments.... well, Dawn opened up the area for you guys :D

I guess this was the straw that broke the camels back for former desing team members as well. They are speaking quite honestly and it does NOT paid a pretty picture.
I don't blame Dawn. She has signed a non-compete contract and has a lot of her designs tied up with PTI -probably a years worth of them.
I would be in a state of panic if I were her. From her perspective, she has to have these releases forward. It's not her fault PTI can't get their shit together!
I will speak for myself when I say this. I have always admired PTI's design team, but now that PTI saw fit to throw them into the lions den. Hard feelings are going to start with them too. Shame on you PTI. On another note......I was sooooo hoping to read why Lauren Meader left. I knew something went down, but Lauren never spoke publicly about it, that I ever saw.
PTI may not be finacially bankrupt but they are most certainly morally bankrupt.
I have an eerie feeling some of the "absent" DT are jumping ship-- i've noticed many of her recent posts are OTHER stamp companies... Ill be sad.
