PTI stands for Papertrey Ink. This is a collective smack blog and Papertrey Ink review page. Papertrey Ink's continuously poor customer service has lead to a page dedicated to discussion of this stamp company and recommendations for alternative stamp companies. Minimal censorship here- I prefer to leave it up to posters' discretion.
The opinions posted on this blog belong to our visitors and we are not paid for our honest reviews ;)
To 21:38 from the last post, I don't have that Becky Fleck book but it doesn't surprise me that the monkey would look exactly like NH's in the birthday treats set. A friend who is a graphics designer say many of her images come from free "clip art" (not sure what the technical name for it is). Could be both are using the same free image.
My thought is that they are making progress to get closer to way it should have been in the first place. They should be able to correctly receive orders, pack them correctly, send them out swiftly, deal with issues with minimum inconvenience to the customer. Things like that should be expected and the minimum.
I do hope they continue and will solve things so there are fewer issues in the first place. I do also hope that they will deal with the user unfriendly web site.
I'm sure they use a lot of 'paid' clipart Ginak admitted to such....and there is a flower in in if GinaK's sets that identical to the flower from four of a kind (CHA set)
Things are quieter because they're finally working on customer issues instead of brushing customers off. Whoever lit a fire under Julie is to be commended. The website still needs work, and dumping all CS emails was cheap, but it seems as if the DT lends a legitimacy and urgency to customer problems that is not found when you email the company directly. Not that I think this is right. Forum poster probs shouldn't be handled faster because Dawn or Ashley or Heather passed it along. I still feel for customers who don't visit the forum? Are their problems being dealt with as quickly and favorably?
@Add That to The List - I still don't think that PTI cares one bit for customers - especially the ones that don't visit the forum. They are trying extra, super hard to be viewed in a more positive light. But a leopard, or a tiger, or a greedy person(s) never changes its spots - they just temporarily relocate them.
even though it appears that PTI is making changes are things are getting better, I have two rewards orders that sat at PTI from 3/16 until finally mailing on 3/23. I would say they still aren't shipping any quicker.
I'm curious about experience with Wplus9. I like a few of their sets, but their web site contact info is less informative than PTI's. There's only a web form for contact, not any indication at all of where they are located, or so on.
Also, any thoughts for a larger, general purpose papercrafting on line store? Someplace to get things from more than one brand & general supplies?
8:15~ I have ordered several times from Wplus9 all with no issues and super fast shipping times, even during a release. My last order I got in 3 days. She is located in Flordia and I'm in AZ so that is super fast. My last release order placed the day of, came in less than a week.
I have bought from WPlus9 several times. Super fast shipping even during a release (and I think Dawn has a full time job besides her stamp business). I've emailed her a couple of times and always had a reply within a day.
Re: a general purpose online store, I'm a big fan of Ellen Hutson. My last order was placed at 9:30 pm my time on 3/21 and I received it across country yesterday, 3/24. Once you start buying, you get a monthly frequent buyer coupon for 10% off your orders throughout the month. She carries a nice selection of some of the largest patterned paper, ink and die companies.
I only ordered once from W Plus 9 and my stamps smelled like they had been sitting in a smokey bar for 5 years. Ghastly cigarette smell. I saw someone say this before too, so it wasn't just me. I e-mailed using the contact form on site and never heard back.
Interesting about the clip art, I'm sure you all are right that that's what's going on. I don't really care that they use clip art, I care that when a stamp designer says THEY designed it when they didn't. I've never heard NH admit to any designs not being her own...to me that's out right lying. Anyway, thanks for the imput!
Here's a new little mixup for you. According to Nichole's blog during the February release, if one purchased the label for a $5 set it was to include the Tip Sheet.
Someone noticed they didn't get the Tip Sheet with the label.
The answer from Nichole on the thread is that the intent was that the price of the label Tip Sheet combo was to go up to $2 because the low margin on the $5 sets. But, that price increase and description change wasn't facilitated during the February release. So, now, they will sell the label for $1 and the Tip Sheet for $1.
She also mentions bringing us those Tip Sheets very soon, which leads me to theorize that they don't exist as of yet, and that once again, the right and and left hand didn't know what the other was doing.
So, would you guess that the Tip Sheets are never returning to the web site, if they are now charging for the $5 set Tip Sheets?
Greedy bitches! No one cares what your profit margin is on $5 sets. I personally believe it is at least $2.50 or 50%. Now let's add a $2 label and tip sheet that will cost them, what $.25 for both?
Oh, yeah, wait, I forgot - you can collect reward points on those purchases. How utterly generous of you, PTI.
@ 8:15.... to second another poster, I like Ellen Hutson, and also i {heart} papers. Maybe not as big a selection as Ellen, but still really nice things, and super fast shipping! http://www.iheartpapers.com/
I always thought that charging for a label was a rip off and now charging for a tip sheet? For pete's sakes they are all about money every time you turn around.
Maybe people on the board can "share" tip sheets, if you know what I mean.
Dawn stated that the tip sheets will be uploaded at some point but that's low priority right now with the website fixes in process. Hopefully they will be back up sooner rather than later. :)
OK, I just looked at a tip sheet for the very first time. Would I pay $1 for tips like "add glitter to the stamped image for extra sparkle"? Or "stamp the image multiple times to create a border"?
OK, I just looked at a tip sheet for the very first time. Would I pay $1 for tips like "add glitter to the stamped image for extra sparkle"? Or "stamp the image multiple times to create a border"?
Wait. These tip sheets. They are just that - tips? Like crafting tips? Shit you can read on blogs? And how are they presented, just an 8.5x11? Cost them a penny and they sell it for $1? Do you download it or do they mail it? I don't get it, but who would pay for that??
Why couldn't they just upload the tip sheets to the site and we could print them IF we wanted them? And as to the profit margin on the $5 sets, I am wondering how those sets the same size that other places sell for $1.00 make a profit? Well, because I was told that the stamps cost 16 cents to make and the packaging is 5 cents. Therefore PTI makes $4.79 per set (plus possibly more on shipping) and then wants to charge for the tip sheet and the label. Once again they show right where their priorities lie--screw the customers because they are so wonderful they think no one will notice.
I have wondered what happened to Julie Buller (Behuler)? She married that Funk guy and went from posting daily to not posting in about 6 months at all. Kind of scary.
@13:20 I expect that the PTI material costs more ... it's photopolymer rather than the cheap acrylic clear stamps that stamp so poorly. I'm sure they are still making a profit but don't think it's as much as one might think ...
I'm 8:15 and thank everyone for the recommendations & suggestions. I didn't realize Ellen Hutson carried that many products. She has several Hero Arts stamps I've been looking for.
A poster had mentioned the smell of the Wplus9 stamps. I wonder if they are different plastic than PTI? I know I got some clear stamps at Hobby Lobby (can't remember the brand and don't have the packaging) that had quite a smell when I opened them.
Again, thanks for the ideas, I appreciate the help.
@13:20- I have never bought a $1 set from Michaels or Joanns that had as many stamps as the PTI sets have! And the quality of those $1 sets is awful! I have a drawer full that I won't even let my kids stamp with, they are so bad! I don't doubt for one second that those only cost $.16 to produce!!
Many stamp companies use barely altered (or not altered at all) images from Dover and other royalty-free image sites.
There are also design houses that you can license images from, and many stamp and paper companies get their images from them.
Very few designers actually create their lines from raw concepts these days, IMO. It's all derivative and it all generally involves tweaking other people's concepts to make them your 'own'.
@16:56 I was thinking that maybe this is one of those customers that doesn't follow the forums. An average customer might assume that an em to the CS dept actually does something. BWAAAAHAAAAAHHAAAAA. Rookie mistake.
I really think she meant the sets that were sent out in 2011. She probably thought since the majority of the purchasing months were in 2010 that it was the 2010 set.
My experience with Ellen Hutson has also always been great. I live about an hour away from her and always get my orders in 2-3 days. Amuse Studio really impressed me last month - I ordered after 2pm on Monday and my order was on my porch Tuesday afternoon. Again, I live about an hour away but it sure beats the heck out of pti! (This is my first post, after months of lurking, and I felt I should include a little smack.)
I'd also love o know why Julie E. left amuse studio.
I've never seen what's the big deal about Julie Ebersole. Her cards are average and she is annoying as all get out. She thinks she's funny. But she's not at all funny.
Wow, nitpick much? I think Julie E. is very talented. Her cards are gorgeous, imho. It is not easy to make a CAS card that looks polished ... way easier to just put layer after layer on!
Yeah, I don't even create CAS stuff, but I like Julie's work. It helps that is sweet, and actually quite genuine in her niceness. She's goofy as hell, but not everyone has to be a dry, sarcastic grouch.
I've only ordered a couple of times from WPlus9 but been totally impressed with their service. They replied to my within minutes of sending a question and on FB as well. They went out of their way to find me some of their stamps that were not listed on the website (retired ones which they had in stock but didn't appear so from the website). I can't speak highly enough of them!
I like Julie Ebersole as well- well her cards. She is a master of clean and simple. HOWEVER, I do find her a bit wacky. I like her videos where she doesn't talk :)
"Donna C wrote: Let's all work to keep this post at the top to help her." -------------- "How exactly does keeping this post at the top help her?" Rick
omathgoddess response to Rick: I am surprised that you had to ask this question, Rick. However, if you really need someone to answer this, let me give it a shot....
By keeping this thread highly visible, it gives PTI more incentive to correct their mistakes in a timely manner. I would imagine that PTI does not want new visitors to their forum seeing how many customer service issues have come to the forefront in the last few months. By keeping posts like this near on the first page, it ensures that they remain visible until the issue is addressed in a reasonable manner.
I also noticed that Nichole herself had a chance to reply to this thread. A thread with more views and more responses *should* catch the attention of the PTI stakeholders, and indeed, it looks like it did.
For those of us who have been observing how PTI is handling their customer service issues, it is imperative that we see timely, polite and meaningful responses to customer service issues before we consider placing another order.
If I were new to PTI and visited this forum, I would be very pleased to see the owners addressing customers issues and would likely feel more comfortable placing an order with a company that does not ignore customer service issues.
Rick's post shows *exactly* what is wrong with PTI Cincy. Disdain for customers, no understanding of why CS is important, and the ignorance to show it while everyone is watching.
regarding Julie E and AMuse. I dont think there was any scandal with her leaving. She got an opportunity to work with Ellen teaching classes and Hero Arts and made a business decision.
There obviously were more money and opportunity with Ellen and HA, so she went for it. Regarding her style, it was a perfect fit for HA and teaching classes to beginners. Her target audience isn't really the seasoned card maker.
I agree Rick's comment was Super snarky...and Nichole's was spot on (unusual as it might be) Just really demonstrates for me what's wrong with the company and where the blame should land
Nichole at least shows the ability to learn what customer service has to look like. She has shown her share of passive/aggressive snark in the past but she is at least trying.
Julie might not have it in her. Best that she and Rick just stay quiet.
Nichole at least shows the ability to learn what customer service has to look like. She has shown her share of passive/aggressive snark in the past but she is at least trying.
Julie might not have it in her. Best that she and Rick just stay quiet. ================== ^^^ THIS. EXACTLY. As for everyone holding their breath thinking that they will change ... well, they're probably turning blue and still placing orders.
Actually after Donna's reply to Rick (which he richly deserved) it would be a bad move to ban her from the forum. Everyone would know why. That might raise a few hackles!
What, exactly, is Rick trying to say here? And locking this thread - really!?
Donna C wrote: I just have to say I was surprised at Rick's response. Honestly, responses like this are one reason I have lost so much faith in Papertrey having concern for their customers. Just another reinforcement that WE don't matter.

When you work for a company, anything that you say represents that company. The fact that you are married to Julie also plays a part in how you represent Papertrey as a whole.
This answer sounds very much like Jenn saying that she could be snarky because she was acting as a forum administrator and not customer service. It is never okay no matter what hat you are wearing.
I had that thread open, and when I came back and refreshed, it is now gone completely. I even checked the OP's posting history, and it has disappeared from there. Interesting.
Does that mean Omathgoddess is banned now that history is removed? I will ask Donna if she is banned too. I wonder if her history is gone too. Off with their heads unless they kneel to the god of Papertrey.
This is why I love this blog. It is the ONLY way to see with is really going on. Everyone that does not visit this blog lives in a PTI-created fantasy land!!!
I do want Rick to answer my question, though. He has said he is not in CS, which is a relief, if you ask me, so I would like to know why he is commenting on a CS issue.
Papertrey is rapidly burning their little paper bridges. Ex-DT won't deal with them, Jenn left them, Rick comes on the forum and slaps customers around, long-time customers are banned and disappearing....
How the hell are Donna C and OMG still on the forum??? I was banned for much less than what they post! ================ ^^^ME TOO!!! I am very glad they are, but I don't understand why. Thank goodness they can still speak for those of us who have no voice.
Cincinatti will never change. NH's only hope of salvaging this company is cutting ties and starting fresh. Sadly, I think she is too stubborn (or legally stuck?).
I can only assume that Jenn is glad she is out of there. I didn't agree with a lot of the things she said/did - but Rick seems a really nasty piece of work.
At the very least, when I saw that thread, there seemed to be some shocked reactions to Rick's snarky comment. And they weren't the usual suspects either. Hopefully this raises a bit more awareness of the truth.
Here is the board warning I received from Nichole this morning. Not sure why Rick didn't send it himself.
Board warning issued Sent: Mon Mar 26, 2012 5:20 am by nichole
The following is a warning which has been issued to you by an administrator or moderator of this site. This is a warning regarding the following post made by you: viewtopic.php?f=7&p=378386#p378386 . Previous posts were deleted because of a lack of respect & personal attacks on behalf of all parties. Moderators delete threads as seen fit for preservation of TOS.
............................ According to the rules outlined in the TOS, all participants need to remain respectful and no personal attacks are permitted. All parties participating in your previous thread were not adhering to these rules. I personally extend apologies to you for your original thread being deleted due to this activity within it. I am confident that forum members can be respectful of the TOS in future postings.
As we have already been in contact with you via PM, I can report that I am looking into your anniversary set and we hope to have additional information regarding that a bit later today. ......................
She seems to be completely overlooking the fact that it was Rick who was totally in the wrong.
I do not know what I wrote that constitutes a personal attack. I have replied to the board warning pm and asked Nichole on the most recent thread to clarify.
IMO, it is not right to write that I personally attacked someone on the boards, give me a board warning, and not clarify what and where I crossed the line. Now that the thread is deleted, no one can read for themselves what I wrote. How convenient.
Haha, I think this all was a pre-emptive strike on Rick's part to keep from being drafted into Customer Service like the rest of them. He was being proactive and showing he is totally unfit for it, so he won't have to.
Fucking pti, knew their little charade of sunshine and rainbows wouldn't last. What sucks the most is that NH makes it seems like Barb, CJ and OMG, etc are the reason the thread got pulled and not that bastard Rick.
Obviously I am in the minority, but I didn't see Rick attack anyone. He asked how bumping a thread would help the op. That's it. Then a bunch of posters jumped on him. Then he explained his position as forum admin. Where is the attack in there? 8:57 above asked Rick how it felt to be ripped a new one. If being "ripped a new one" isn't being personally attacked, what is?
Although snark could have been read into Rick's comment, I didn't really see it that way. Maybe he was just asking? Anyway, it seems to really have blown out of proportion. Let it go fellow smackers...let it go. He isn't CS (thank god) so really we don't have to worry.
Rick posted -------------- "How exactly does keeping this post at the top help her?" Rick
and then went on to explain that somebody seems to be under the impression that he represents customer service, which he doesn't. He is forum administrator, no more, no less.
The reason that this is out of hand is because the threads were deleted. It makes it look like a cover up.
If Rick was just asking a question , he would have left out the word "exactly" in his original post.
Jenn tried to say that she wasn't representing Papertrey once when she was forum admin. She said it like that somehow made it okay for her to be snarky.
lol the implied snarkiness in granlogirl's comment is great. "free of hassle" lololololol =============== I loved her response. NH singles out "all parties" then refuses to be specific. Kind of insulting to those posters that did nothing wrong.
y'all are so funny....such little busy-bodies running around with no purpose... =================== ^^^ Well, you've got me pegged. Fancy meeting someone so busy and important (like you) in here...
Obviously I am in the minority, but I didn't see Rick attack anyone. He asked how bumping a thread would help the op. That's it. Then a bunch of posters jumped on him. Then he explained his position as forum admin. Where is the attack in there? ======================= Many, many CS issues have been resolved lately because of DT members seeing the issue posted on the forum. If Rick really wanted to know, and wasn't being snarky, then perhaps he should have turned and asked Dave. Surely Dave can appreciate that he has been helped out by the DT lately.
Rick and Julie probably bitch about ptis crappy customers all day long, no surprise his bad attitude leaked through. I think it at least represents what the heskamps owners think of customers, and probably Nichole too
Rick and Julie probably bitch about ptis crappy customers all day long, no surprise his bad attitude leaked through. I think it at least represents what the heskamps owners think of customers, and probably Nichole too ======================= ^^ This is fact. Someone here was saying that the forum used to have a hidden area where the pti employees ruthlessly made fun of customers. There was a glitch and it became public for a short while.
What Nichole probably meant was that "Not all parties" but she left off the word NOT. I don't think that she meant that every single poster was posting disrespectfully.
NO, the hidden board was in fact on the PTI forum, but there was no ruthless ridicule of customers, just one thread where someone questioned why a customer would ask such and such a question. It wasn't a big deal. But the story grows so out of proportion is absurd.
The hidden dt board was on 2Peas, not Papertrey. ==================== Oh, ok. Sorry I had that wrong. But still ... it was representatives of pti bashing customers, right? I just can't wrap my head around something so dumb.
What Nichole probably meant was that "Not all parties" but she left off the word NOT. I don't think that she meant that every single poster was posting disrespectfully.
Go back and read it. I just did. ================= All we have is what she *wrote*, not what she meant. She had plenty of opportunity to clarify. She didn't.
I would like to start a thread apologizing to Rick for calling him rude and then we can all apologize for everything that we said by repeating it.
Rick, I'm sorry that I posted the roll eyes smiley when you said "..... " =================== LOL! Love this. In true pti style - "Rick, I am sorry you misunderstood that...."
Well at least she's gonna get her anniversary set! lol from a forum member though and not PTI. typical. ================== This is the ultimate answer to Rick's question of how it helps to keep a thread visible. wish I had the balls, and the non-banned login, to post this.
^^^ I would SO love to post something like, "Someone asked earlier how it might help a customer to bump their issue... Sorry, I can't seem to find the thread anymore. Dana saw that post and is sending her anniv set to the customer."
And the Reaping is those who represent the others from their district by not getting their prizes and packages as promised and excuses are made and rules are changed.
And the cannon fires for another of us. ================== LOL at the irony of the comparison to Hunger Games, crying at the truth in the similarities.
My bank account is doing a little happy dance right now, since it looks like my personal ban on shopping with PTI will continue indefinitely. What jerks.
omathgoddess, when you get your new username set up, let us know what "happy crap" topic you start, so that we can reply to it and help you get past the moderated account stage...
OMG, I need to know how to change my IP address since I'll probably be next...
Here is my post in your honor!

Did Guatelicia delete her post on that thread or was it deleted? She posted that OMA had been banned and couldn't read Dawn's message but that she would pass it along.
I'm still there and wasn't able to see Guatelicia's post! Rick is a jerk and very very stupid, with angry customers taking their money to other stores, he will loose money (and more hair!) lol

I never found much use in the tip sheets either - trying to figure out why everyone is up in arms on the forum about making it a high priority.
I get much more ideas from pinterest or blog surfing then by reading (this stamp fits perfectly in a 1 3/4 circle) thanks, im an idiot.
I definitely would NOT pay for the tip sheet ... It could be useful but without seeing it, how would one know?? And $1 per sheet???!!! No way!
Wait. These tip sheets. They are just that - tips? Like crafting tips? Shit you can read on blogs? And how are they presented, just an 8.5x11? Cost them a penny and they sell it for $1? Do you download it or do they mail it? I don't get it, but who would pay for that??
Does anyone follow Julie Lacey's blog? She hasn't updated since December and it looks like she left her dt.
Well, darn. Julie just posted! Glad to see she is fine.
@13:20
I expect that the PTI material costs more ... it's photopolymer rather than the cheap acrylic clear stamps that stamp so poorly.
Just bought some Studio Calico goodies from Ellen Hutson ... we'll see how the shipping is.
@13:15
There is no scandal with Julie Lacey. She's working on a CPA test which is taking up her spare time.
Someone named Charmayne made the following comment on Nichole's farewell blog post about J.Elf.
"Now I know why there's no response to my email regards not receiving my 2010 anniversary set....."
Holy Hell Batman!! Do you think she really meant *2010*??
Well, if she's been emailing, wouldn't the email be going to Dave at customer service @ papertrey dot com?
Thanks for the info about Julie Lacey. :-)
I've always liked her work.
@16:56 I was thinking that maybe this is one of those customers that doesn't follow the forums. An average customer might assume that an em to the CS dept actually does something. BWAAAAHAAAAAHHAAAAA.
Rookie mistake.
Why did Julie Ebersole leave Amuse?
I agree about not following the forums.
Maybe she only emailed 2 or 3 times.
Everybody knows that it takes at least 4 tries to cs to get a real answer.
But seriously, 2010?? I thought people waiting on 2011 was bad enough. This chick is crazy is she has been patiently waiting since 2010.
@13:54 every time I've ordered from Ellen Hutson, I've been impressed with the shipping. It takes a couple of days to arrive to me on the East coast.
I think that Julie E. is not nearly as popular as she used to be. Most of her cards are very beginner looking.
I like Julie's style. Its clean and classic.
I just find it odd that she was involved with amuse when they went to the home business model and then she just wasn't there one day.
I've never seen what's the big deal about Julie Ebersole. Her cards are average and she is annoying as all get out. She thinks she's funny. But she's not at all funny.
Yes, she is like super-uber like annoying you know. She talks like a 7th grader and is too cutesy for words. Sunshine and unicorns personified.
I can't speak highly enough of them!
erin lincoln needs a new printer
Did anyone else notice that Jenn is still listed as a forum administrator? Admin Rick was posting this morning.
I like Julie Ebersole as well- well her cards. She is a master of clean and simple. HOWEVER, I do find her a bit wacky. I like her videos where she doesn't talk :)
Wow – talk about snark! Rick's comment to Donna C. regarding her comment on the Still No Anniversary Set thread was kind of mind-boggling.
For some reason, I'm not able to copy it here, so maybe someone else could do that if they're so inclined.
"Donna C wrote:
Let's all work to keep this post at the top to help her."
--------------
"How exactly does keeping this post at the top help her?" Rick
About Rick's comment: what a dick. And I hope Donna answers him.
holy crap. the bitch has been replaced with a jerk!
Wow, Rick. That was not helpful.
Dear Ellen Hutson. Please install an "enlarge image" option on your shop site so I can see these stamp sets a bit closer.
Thanks.
omathgoddess response to Rick:
I am surprised that you had to ask this question, Rick.
Way to go Omath!
Rick and Julie are married right? Man, Rick, you should have just kept quiet.
Thank you, Omath. You say what I don't have the words to say. Much appreciated!
I bet that Rick is wishing that the quote feature was disabled. You suck Rick!
I agree
Rick's comment was Super snarky...and Nichole's was spot on (unusual as it might be)
Just really demonstrates for me what's wrong with the company and where the blame should land
he he they even added a HTH to Rick !!
Nichole at least shows the ability to learn what customer service has to look like. She has shown her share of passive/aggressive snark in the past but she is at least trying.
Julie might not have it in her. Best that she and Rick just stay quiet.
Hopefully Rick will go back into hibernation for another year.
It would also be great if they could hire someone else to tweek the website. I'm not sure that he is qualified.
Rick... how does it feel to have officially been ripped a new one?
LOL... ouch.
Oh Rick, you really DO NOT want to mess with a bunch of pissed off women.
Nichole at least shows the ability to learn what customer service has to look like. She has shown her share of passive/aggressive snark in the past but she is at least trying.

==================
^^^ THIS. EXACTLY. As for everyone holding their breath thinking that they will change ... well, they're probably turning blue and still placing orders.
I would put money on Donna C being banned from the forum for talking back to Rick in that way.
I wish the forum unicorns had any idea how many people Do get banned from the forum ... and for totally random reasons.
So do we know what happened to JenE? Fired? Quit? It's been awhile since we've seen her.
Actually after Donna's reply to Rick (which he richly deserved) it would be a bad move to ban her from the forum.
Everyone would know why. That might raise a few hackles!
he he they even added a HTH to Rick !!
----------
^ That was awesome! Made me Lol.
^^^ Thanks! I was rather tickled to add the HTH there for good 'ole Rick! What an ass.
LOL, she is pretty smart. Did you see her second comment after the one about Rick? Watch and see!
Rick makes a NASTY response and then locks the thread. I am SO done there.
What, exactly, is Rick trying to say here? And locking this thread - really!?
Donna C wrote:
I just have to say I was surprised at Rick's response. Honestly, responses like this are one reason I have lost so much faith in Papertrey having concern for their customers. Just another reinforcement that WE don't matter.

Rick
And by locking the thread, no one can keep it at the top, can they.
Pardon my ignorance....but what is HTH?
He removed omath's question!
The are all cut from the same cloth? Inbred? NONE of them get it at all do they? They are arrogant and nasty and self-serving.
Wow, Rick deleted the thread and deleted the thread from OMG asking why he locked the thread!
I knew that he would remove it so I copy & pasted this post before it was removed.
This is the one posted after Omath's -

When you work for a company, anything that you say represents that company. The fact that you are married to Julie also plays a part in how you represent Papertrey as a whole.
This answer sounds very much like Jenn saying that she could be snarky because she was acting as a forum administrator and not customer service. It is never okay no matter what hat you are wearing.
Barbara
OMG!!! He removed the question?
Silence them! Silence them! We have no problems at Papertrey. Silence them!
I had that thread open, and when I came back and refreshed, it is now gone completely. I even checked the OP's posting history, and it has disappeared from there. Interesting.
He removed both threads. The locked one too. Feels like the Hunger Games over there.
Does that mean Omathgoddess is banned now that history is removed? I will ask Donna if she is banned too. I wonder if her history is gone too. Off with their heads unless they kneel to the god of Papertrey.
It looks like the whole 'anniversary set' thread has been removed.
Wow - Rick is a nasty one.
Don't see how much good he is going to do for PTI.
This is why I love this blog. It is the ONLY way to see with is really going on. Everyone that does not visit this blog lives in a PTI-created fantasy land!!!
How the hell are Donna C and OMG still on the forum??? I was banned for much less than what they post!
And we thought Jenn was a B. This guy is going to be so sorry he is messing with angry customers in this heavy handed way. Time for an "uprising"????
I have not been banned, yet.
================
^^^ME TOO!!! I am very glad they are, but I don't understand why. Thank goodness they can still speak for those of us who have no voice.
So, with Mr Arrogance getting rid of the whole thread, anyone waiting on their anniversary sets will have to start another one.
This just gets worse.
Cincinatti will never change. NH's only hope of salvaging this company is cutting ties and starting fresh. Sadly, I think she is too stubborn (or legally stuck?).
I should have print screen the thread. Darn.
I can only assume that Jenn is glad she is out of there. I didn't agree with a lot of the things she said/did - but Rick seems a really nasty piece of work.
The whole idea of sending those anniv sets out AGAIN without tracking is beyond absurd. How long can this issue possibly go on??
At the very least, when I saw that thread, there seemed to be some shocked reactions to Rick's snarky comment. And they weren't the usual suspects either. Hopefully this raises a bit more awareness of the truth.
Is it maybe supposed to be a secret that Rick is married to Julie?
Ahhhh.... all this time I was misunderstanding "HTH". I see now that it's pti code for "Heskamp Truth Hurts".
As in, truth is you're f'd on this particular issue.
Now Omath's thread asking about her deleted thread is gone too!!! Oh boy!! Where's the popcorn?
New thread - cjkerr is back and wanting to know where is the thread she started this morning (re anniv. sets).
OMG - What was your board warning for? There was no personal attack?
Hope that helps is HTH. One of Jenns little gems and the smiley face was for Dawn M. I hate her stupid smiley faces on the sunshine threads!!!
Here is the board warning I received from Nichole this morning. Not sure why Rick didn't send it himself.
Board warning issued

by nichole
The following is a warning which has been issued to you by an administrator or moderator of this site.
This is a warning regarding the following post made by you: viewtopic.php?f=7&p=378386#p378386 . Previous posts were deleted because of a lack of respect & personal attacks on behalf of all parties. Moderators delete threads as seen fit for preservation of TOS.
How come OMG has received a board warning from Nichole.
That seems totally over the top.
Lol!!!! Love the new "HTH" definition!!
Nicholle's reply to 'what happened to my thread?
............................
She seems to be completely overlooking the fact that it was Rick who was totally in the wrong.
y'all are so funny....such little busy-bodies running around with no purpose...
I guess it is disrespectful to ask things to be clarified. Maybe it is disrespectful to hold Rick accountable for rudeness.
There are no problems at Papertrey. Repeat this over and over until you see rainbows and sunshine.
maybe Rick thinks being called out on being married to Julie was a personal attack? I know I wouldn't want that getting out....
The customers must be respectful. The employees need not be respectful. True colors shining through.
I think the more customers see the more their "sadness" will turn to anger. Rick attacks but that is not a problem??
Haha, I think this all was a pre-emptive strike on Rick's part to keep from being drafted into Customer Service like the rest of them. He was being proactive and showing he is totally unfit for it, so he won't have to.
Nichole wouldn't know a "personal attack" if it licked her in the ass and called her lordy bees!
Fucking pti, knew their little charade of sunshine and rainbows wouldn't last. What sucks the most is that NH makes it seems like Barb, CJ and OMG, etc are the reason the thread got pulled and not that bastard Rick.
please tell me someone saved that thread!
Barbara's post in the new thread (love her):
Thank you Nichole, I will try to be respectful.
Rick mentioned that he was not acting as customer service when he posted and that he didn't represent Papertrey Ink.
I suggested that because he is married to Julie and because he works for Papertrey that he is always representing Papertrey Ink.
Barbara
Although snark could have been read into Rick's comment, I didn't really see it that way. Maybe he was just asking?
Anyway, it seems to really have blown out of proportion. Let it go fellow smackers...let it go. He isn't CS (thank god) so really we don't have to worry.
@10:57 - I don't think Rick was attacking anyone, but as a representative of PTI, his comment was completely inappropriate.
Rick posted
--------------
"How exactly does keeping this post at the top help her?"
Rick
and then went on to explain that somebody seems to be under the impression that he represents customer service, which he doesn't. He is forum administrator, no more, no less.
Totally snarky IMO
Why are they putting this ALL on the customers when it is Rick who should be apologizing TO the customers?
lol the implied snarkiness in granlogirl's comment is great. "free of hassle" lololololol
I bet Nichole is furious with Rick! She has obviously been trying to make things better, and then he does this.
Why did he pipe up now after 2 years of being invisible? Maybe he's defensive about the website everyone hates.
"free of hassle" lololololol
===============
I loved her response. NH singles out "all parties" then refuses to be specific. Kind of insulting to those posters that did nothing wrong.
What do you want to bet Nichole is begging Rick to go apologize but Julie won't let him.
y'all are so funny....such little busy-bodies running around with no purpose...
===================
^^^ Well, you've got me pegged. Fancy meeting someone so busy and important (like you) in here...
Lol.
Whoever said the forum is becoming like Hunger Games is so right! Are Mockingjay pin avatars in order?
Just call me BB for short. I like that souch better than the rotting meat comparison. :-)
Obviously I am in the minority, but I didn't see Rick attack anyone. He asked how bumping a thread would help the op. That's it. Then a bunch of posters jumped on him. Then he explained his position as forum admin. Where is the attack in there?
=======================
Many, many CS issues have been resolved lately because of DT members seeing the issue posted on the forum.
I think it at least represents what the heskamps owners think of customers, and probably Nichole too
And with Dawn's lovely post, hopefully we won't see Rick for another year.
Buh bye Rick.
ALL now means NOT ALL, Dawn? When did that happen?
Some is the new all.
Rick and Julie probably bitch about ptis crappy customers all day long, no surprise his bad attitude leaked through. I think it at least represents what the heskamps owners think of customers, and probably Nichole too
=======================
^^ This is fact.
Go back and read it. I just did.
Dawn's response confuses me. NH did say ALL. As in each and every one of the posters in that thread. WTH?
NOT fact.
The hidden dt board was on 2Peas, not Papertrey.
LOL 11:20, someone beat you to it!
NO, the hidden board was in fact on the PTI forum, but there was no ruthless ridicule of customers, just one thread where someone questioned why a customer would ask such and such a question.
It wasn't a big deal. But the story grows so out of proportion is absurd.
Maybe not being able to log in is a sign that you shouldn't order!
Well at least she's gonna get her anniversary set! lol from a forum member though and not PTI. typical.
The ruthless ridicule was in fact on 2Peas though. A few of the dt members were making fun of customers.
I would like to start a thread apologizing to Rick for calling him rude and then we can all apologize for everything that we said by repeating it.
Rick, I'm sorry that I posted the roll eyes smiley when you said "..... "
NOT fact.
The hidden dt board was on 2Peas, not Papertrey.
====================
Oh, ok.
I just did.
=================
All we have is what she *wrote*, not what she meant. She had plenty of opportunity to clarify. She didn't.
I would love for PTI to explain what they consider a 'personal attack'.
"Hey Rick, I think your post was inappropriate and non-helpful" isn't an attack, it's the truth.
I would like to start a thread apologizing to Rick for calling him rude and then we can all apologize for everything that we said by repeating it.
Rick, I'm sorry that I posted the roll eyes smiley when you said "..... "
===================
LOL! Love this. In true pti style - "Rick, I am sorry you misunderstood that...."
And the student becomes the master. Wax on.
I'd say anything that pisses off PTI is considered a personal attack.
Well at least she's gonna get her anniversary set! lol from a forum member though and not PTI. typical.
==================
This is the ultimate answer to Rick's question of how it helps to keep a thread visible. wish I had the balls, and the non-banned login, to post this.
^^^ I would SO love to post something like, "Someone asked earlier how it might help a customer to bump their issue... Sorry, I can't seem to find the thread anymore. Dana saw that post and is sending her anniv set to the customer."
LOL.
11:55- That is not the truth, it is an opinion. YOUR opinion. Just because you believe something doesn't make it the truth!
Guess we know Michele P is in the house.
"Feels like the Hunger Games over there."
^^^ Best. Comment. Ever.
12:05, doesn't make it a personal attack either....which was the point of my post. Or did that go over your head too?
The Cast:
Dawn as Effie
Julie as President Snow
Rick is a Muttation
And we are all the tributes that they are pitting against one another.
^^^ And on the 15th of every month there is a new cornucopia. Full of shiny, useful things. Just waiting for the customers' mad grabby rush.
Wtg omath! :-)
And the Reaping is those who represent the others from their district by not getting their prizes and packages as promised and excuses are made and rules are changed.

wow I was starting to think PTI was on the improve and had started dealing with some of it's issues.
I was wrong.
PTI you should be ashamed.

OMG - your username is still active on the board???
Interesting. I thought they would delete all my posts when they banned me.
It looks like they just deleted your last post, the one where you pasted in your previous comment, but your other posts are still there
^^^ They probably want to make it look like she is happy with Dawn's answer... If they delete her posts, they look like the asses they are!
Are you freaking kidding me??? They BANNED Omathgoddess????
WTH? For asking questions?
This shit is a total conspiracy.
Maybe they did that because it makes threads so confusing to read when someone's posts disappear without a trace
OMA got banned?
Posts and name are still there. Can you post something new?
Leaving your user name and posts makes it appear as if you just SFTU...
omath, I miss your posts on the forum already. If they banned your IP, can you make another username via proxy?
My bank account is doing a little happy dance right now, since it looks like my personal ban on shopping with PTI will continue indefinitely. What jerks.
I can't even view the forums. I will have to change my IP address.
I'll be back ;)
Anyone brave enough to post that I have been banned?
xoxo
And Haymitch sends a little white parachute down to OMG in her time of need. What's inside? A new IP address!!! She's back in the game.
omathgoddess, when you get your new username set up, let us know what "happy crap" topic you start, so that we can reply to it and help you get past the moderated account stage...
How does one change their IP addy, you know, for future reference (insert winky, sunshiney, smiley face)?
You will know it is me. I will post something about paper piecing and giant scissors.
"You have been banned because you dared to expose the emperor has no clothes!" is how that really should read. Tsk tsk tsk.
Omath - *please* consider a mocking jay avatar. It's current with pop culture and oh so relevant in this community.
OMG, I need to know how to change my IP address since I'll probably be next...
Here is my post in your honor!

Did Guatelicia delete her post on that thread or was it deleted? She posted that OMA had been banned and couldn't read Dawn's message but that she would pass it along.
I saw the post, Guatelicia. So just for posting that you were banned??! In just like 2 minutes time??!
I'm still there and wasn't able to see Guatelicia's post! Rick is a jerk and very very stupid, with angry customers taking their money to other stores, he will loose money (and more hair!) lol
YES!!!! She is banned I just heard from her. Unfreakenbelievable
Sure enough! This is the message I get:
