We have been monitoring the situation all day. Several customers have made purchases today using 2012 expiration dates. We do not see a problem on our end and things seem to processing just fine. We have not received any information from customers placing orders today that they had this issue. I hope that helps.

Re: Marcy Penner... she's probably talking about the smack center blog. They talk about SC 90% of the time (not sure why they don't just make it the SC blog like this is the PTI blog), anyway... same kinda bitching all day like here. That's probably what she's referring to in her tweet.

Speaking of, Dawn is DT'ing for PTI & SC... She sure does know how to pick 'em, doesn't she?

GC's equal cash and they should not be charged shipping if their overall order total is over $70. IT is looking into why this new glitch is occurring when folks are using the GC's. We hope to have it resolved shortly.

by nichole » Thu Mar 15, 2012 8:33 pm

I don't know how much longer it will take IT to fix the shipping issue here. If you want to go ahead and check out and let us know your order number, we will refund the shipping amount immediately.

---------------------

I have no sympathy for these bitches that proceed and think PTI is going to refund them immediately!

How stupid can you be?

Unfortunately because of the speed at which PTI ship things out (often the same day the order is received) they cannot accept any order changes before your package leaves their facility.

154 problems on the tech thread. I bet only 10% of forum members know there is a tech thread and 100% of non-forum members do not know about it. In this case we can probably assume there are several thousands with problems. They are not supposed to email CS for over 2 weeks from now?

I have no idea what you cows are complaining about. I tried to use my points but a pop up appeared while placing my order that said "due to your extreme amount of awesomeness, these orders are on the house."

Going to laugh along with this blog when people start not getting their orders 2 weeks down the line. Who's with me?

Alright ladies, time to break out the wine.

Tonight, I...
1. Didn't order. (thankfully)
2. Watched the PTI train start to fall off the cliff, while munching on cupcakes. (it was entertaining and the cupcakes were yummy)
3. Smiled from the lack of personal PTI issues. (I may just let my $25 rewards credit go to waste afterall)

And now I'm eagerly awaiting the fallout from Website Issues Month #2. (this should be doubly entertaining)

After a glass of wine I'm going to go to bed and drift into a lovely dream state...because I DIDN'T ORDER TONIGHT! HA!

There is a repair being made to the state drop down box at the moment and it may possibly be causing the issue. If you refresh in a minute or two, it should re-set itself.

----------------

As someone in IT who has rolled out a successful launch, who in their right mind "repairs" in a production environment???? You repair the test environment and then move it into production.

Fucking amatures!

by Baseret » Thu Mar 15, 2012 11:13 pm

It appears to me that I was charged $6.00 + tax more than I should have. It shows as a credit, (which I didn't use), but instead of subtracting the 6 credits, it added it to my total. Here is the bottom of my receipt:

Item total: $144.00
Credits: -6
Sales Tax: $9.36
Shipping: $0.00

Total: $159.36

All refunds for last release were issued as of Wednesday. However, a few customers have been coming forward that somehow got missed. If you give me your order number and name from the last release, I will personally look into your refund immediately.

I guess she still has a bit more ass kissing to do or perhaps she's still in the C/S email backlog. Oh wait, that got dumped. Poor Lizzie.

Anyone heard of the book/movie, Water for Elephants? Saw it the other day and couldn't help but notice the similarities. That was the biggest circus disaster of all time, and PTI is becoming the biggest stamping disaster of all time. Seriously, it's like history in the making!

What a mess.

Early morning here, couldn't hang in last night to follow the release night train crash. I popped into the forum before coming here to read and all I see are threads like "I can't check out" et cetera.
Can't believe anyone ordered at all but I understand wanting to use up reward points and gc's. but that also looks to have been a giagantic fustercluk.
Me thinks the House That Stamps Built has completely crumbled.

Anonymous said...

Want to see some numbers? Now, don't hate me because I placed orders in February and March. I was using up my reward points and now I'm done.

Last year - orders between 2/15 and 3/15 - 5,054 (by my order numbers)

This year - orders between 2/15 and 3/15 - 3,484 (again my order numbers)

I typically order at the same time each release.

I know these are just order numbers but at least in my case my $ per order dropped significantly.

Interesting.

Anonymous said...

if they are estimated figures they have lost 30% in sales.....and even more as MANY of those orders would have been using free points

Anonymous said...

-----------------------------
Interesting analysis. I did the same thing, and I got roughly the same figure for Feb-Mar 2011. But using my first order from Feb 2012 and my order last night, I get about 4500 orders, so only a 10% drop - still a drop, but significantly less so.

However, my 2nd order from Feb 2012, which was about 20-25 minutes after my first order, was roughly 500 orders after my first one. So they got A LOT of orders last month on release night, and just a few minutes difference in when you placed your order that night could result in a significant difference in the numbers.

My first Feb 2012 order was close in time to my usual ordering time, and closest in time to the time I ordered last night, so I would say it gives the most reliable data.

Anonymous said...

Don't discount how many people ordered twice in February(because of the cart dumping) thus falsely inflating the actual number of people ordering.

I finally believe PTI is feeling the financial impact of treating customers like doormats.

Anonymous said...

Um, they repeat order numbers? Every number should be distinct - otherwise, how utterly confusing to track down an order??

Anonymous said...

>Um, they repeat order numbers?
>Every number should be distinct -
>otherwise, how utterly confusing to
>track down an order??

Huh? What makes you think that they repeat order numbers?

Anonymous said...

So, not as many problems as I thought they would have in the ordering department. Will see how fast PTI ship out this release.

The next thing will be when people have to re-submit their emails about lost packages, no tracking info for orders, missing prizes from months past, people still waiting on anniversary sets, et al.

I wonder how many will just give up and walk away. This seems to be what PTI might be hoping for.

Anonymous said...

@5:40 I'm misreading I guess, based on the above post about #s order based on her order number. Not sure how she's calculating that.

Anonymous said...

I was so hoping that pricecheck and cloiseauxzw would have problems with their orders.

Anonymous said...

It doesn't look like anything sold out. I just checked the star border die and there are 578 left...they do have a lot of money tied up in inventory.

Anonymous said...

THere are threads deleted from the forum. Where is the post about the person who was inadvertently banned that needed help with her ribbon order? GONE! What else is missing.

Anonymous said...

For me at least, and I do hope for others, whether there were problems with ordering last night or not, PTI has proven to me that they no longer deserve my respect or my business.

Everything could be up and running perfectly tomorrow, but I choose not to deal with a company with such poor business practices and low level of integrity.

I can't say I expect many people to take that stand. All some people really care about is getting that particular stamp, or die, or paper. . . whatever.

My money is going to businesses that care about their customers every day of the year, not just the 15th of the month.

Anonymous said...

The number of orders doesn't tell the whole story. I know that many people ordered only minimal amounts of things and that many orders were the final order.

Anonymous said...

I think even if Clozuckle and pricecheck had problems they probably wouldn't admit it

Anonymous said...

I tried to clear my reward points on 3/14 8pm PST, but had a problem with checking out on Paypal. L.Johnson and I PM'd back and forth and she assured me it was a problem with Paypal. I am through with PTI, but want that damn reward -I spent the bulk of rewards last month, but earned a bit on Feb order. It's the principal of it, you know. I decided to try again this AM - 3/16 7:30 a.m PST. Order went to cart just fine, one $5. item and $6.50 shipping. State pull down tag worked just fine, but there wasn't a Paypal option. Maybe my Paypal problem was really PTI's paypal problem. I hated to input my cc on their site - I do prefer to use Paypal on the internet, but I want out of PTI and I wasn't going to leave my $4 reward. Order placed and I feel at peace now. LOL, LOL - can't help myself. BTW, if we do the order # calculation from 3/14 to this morning, it appears that PTI had 1032 orders.

From the ordered without a glitch thread -

For some reason, this is the calmest I've felt ordering on Release Night and I've been ordering for 3 years now. I think it was because I took my time and didn't feel like I had to rush to get my order in. There were many release nights when it felt like a race to see who could get their order in the fastest.
___________________________________

The reason that you felt calm is because you knew that there wouldn't be many people ordering so you didn't have to get stressed about things going OOS. It wasn't anything that PTI did. OH wait, it was. It was that stupid letter that they sent out that assured a quiet release night.

I will check back in the morning and see if it's been corrected.

Anonymous said...

OK, I am a regular smacker here and on the Smack Center -have been for years now. I have even been yelled at myself for calling out Jenn for her horrible customer service about 6 months ago.

BUT, man this blog has gotten really nasty. I DON'T want PTI or "the house that stamps built" to crumble or go under. What is wrong with you girls? I know it's only a vocal minority, but man get a grip.

I know they have problems. Serious ones and I have been the victim of some frustrating CS issues. But the general tone of some of you is getting really bad. There are some serious drama queens here to just love nothing else but stir up shit.

There is a difference between voicing your frustration at your legitimate customer service issues and DELIGHTING in spewing venom towards PTI. Some of you nasty girls "don't even have a dog in the race" and are just chiming in to stir the pot.

Bottom line, I love PTI -their paper, stamps, dies, ribbons and buttons. I want them to learn these hard lessons, pick themselves up and get it right.

And cut Dawn a break. That girl signed contracts and has her designs tied up with PTI. She sees this going bad and she finally got the go ahead to try and help, so here she is. If she wasn't "sunshine" you all would smack her for being bitchy and you know it.

Beating a Dead Horse said...

I'm not sure Dawn finally 'got the go ahead to try to help' - as you say.
I think her bottom line has been affected and that's whay she's there. She didn't try to help anyone 6 months ago. Or longer. Or did I miss something?

I'm now indifferent to PTI. Don't love them. Don't hate them. Not nasty about them. Just indifferent.

Anonymous said...

just smacking the copany here too
Dont want them to fold either
I want them to get better so I can buy their stamps and cardstock again

Do I think it will happen ?? Thats a whole other thread.

Anonymous said...

@9:44 - TROLL, go away.

You are a troll because you have made personal attacks against those on this community. You didn't need to, but you went there.

Who are you to judge how people express their frustrations? If you want a neutral or sunshiney forum, go elsewhere.

And, if you really think the majority of us really, truly want PTI to go down in flames then you really don't us at all...and, to go back to my first point...you are a TROLL.

Anonymous said...

9:44... I agree with you in some respects. I think because I had my own CS issues that are still not resolved, and I become inflamed easily over poor service and unfair treatment, I have definitely been caught up in the PTI bashing frenzy. I also love me some gossip and get a kick out of these sites. I have definitely said things here, under the protection of anonymity, that I wouldn't say on the PTI forum... or I would say them but in a nicer way! I certainly stand behind my opinions that I don't trust sickeningly sweet people, am disturbed by PTI's actions, will not order from them again and may get some satisfaction if bad business practices and bad treatment of customers is rewarded by loss of business. But also I need to step back and not keep feeding my anger as that's not healthy. But that's just me... others obviously have the right to say what they want, where they want.

Anonymous said...

@9:44 - Any company that values their customers so much that they delete all the emails in their inbox, can FUCK OFF. If they go down in flames and close their doors, it's of their OWN doing.

The only thing the people on this blog have done is tell the truth. It may be splattered with colorful language but it wasn't lies. The lies are being told by PIT!

Anonymous said...

10:10 I am not a troll.

I am just saying the general tone of some of the vocal minority on here is getting more and more nasty. Take a look at posts from 4 months ago. Very different. I don't want a sunshiney forum. That's why I called out the "first 14 idiots" who joined Ted's forum.

I am RIGHT THERE WITH YOU about being frustrated and voicing your frustrations. Hence MY getting flamed for calling out Jenn for being bitchy on her CS emails to ME.

I don't think the MAJORITY of us want PTI to go under. I clearly stated in my OP that it was a VOCAL MINORITY here that is getting venomous.

So Drama Queen, YOU go away.

Anonymous said...

This whole smacking activity has me somewhat amused. Are you people seriously spending your time flicking back and forth between here, the PTI forum and the SCS forum so you can report on what people are saying, buying, what you've said in a thread (which you seem so proud off that you must come running back here and repeat it - hey, guess what I just said - yeah, well done!!).

You're "perusing" the store , not so you can buy anything of course but just so you can make sure you don't miss out on anything such as a missing image, or a drop down box that might be missing. Honestly?? You are making mock orders just so you can see if there is an issue at the checkout?

What the hell kind of sad lives do you people live? Go and spend time with your families for god's sake.

I came here to see what a smack blog actually is and am delighted to find out that I am NOTHING like the kind of people that some of you seem to be. Thank you for making me feel even better about myself than I already do. I am glad I will never have the misfortune to actually have to meet any of you in real life because the ugliness that you exude would be just too much to bear.

Now I will not be visiting y'all again you will be pleased to know. This was merely a "curiosity got the better of me" kind of situation. I don't even care to know what you think of my comments, I shan't be back to check.

I am off back to my fabulous life full of sunshine and unicorns (my daughter actually has a unicorn themed bedroom so I am not being sarky here). I wish you could all be as happy in your own lives as I am in mine - it can't be a good feeling being you.

Cheerio!

Anonymous said...

What the heck. I guess I'm in a minority because I honestly do hope they go under. I don't think they deserve to be in business.

I will never purchase from them again so I guess whatever happens with them happens and it makes no difference to me. But I don't think such a major ongoing screwup should be rewarded by what... a few weeks, months, of good behavior that might come? -- THAT MIGHT COME PRIMARILY BECAUSE OF PEOPLE WHO COME HERE and WHO HAVE BEEN VOCAL IN THE FORUM.

Any positive change is owed in large part to the people who come here and take a stand in their own forum. But you know what will happen? All the smiley faces in their forum will have the attitude that all we had to do was have faith, be patient... blah blah blah bull.

I may hope they close their doors, but I'm not a nasty vitriol-spewing smacker here either.

Anonymous said...

I don't think they deserve to be in businees either. They're lucky they still are.

done for me said...

Too little, too late. I just saw that headline in reference to Goldman Sachs - it applies here, too. I was one of the frustrated PTI customers in 2008 but I went back. My 2010 anniversary set wasn't mailed out until months after most other people got them. I was told by their customer dis-service that I had to prove I earned it...yet I was stupid enough to go back. This latest mess and the sunshiny attempts to cover it up and pretend it never happened are truly it for me. A company that has to work so hard to always prove they are right and their customers are wrong is not a company I choose to support.

Someone came here "out of curiosity" and berates those who go to the PTI forum or shop "out of curiosity."

what's wrong with this picture?

I don't care what the PTI forum lovers think about me, I don't care what the Smackers think about me. I just know that I am extremely happy today. I finally broke my addiction to PTI and didn't place an order last night (after thousands of dollars spent). PTI is and has been a train wreck but I couldn't see it for my addiction. I am so glad I read about Lauren, Becky, Nicky & Genny and I know PTI is not a company with which I care to associate or support. I am glad that I found this place so I could see both sides and make a happy decision.

Hehehe, listen hon, I DON'T love all their products and even I don't want them to go under.

I disagree with you that there is nasty tone on here. Believe me, I hang out at a few smack blogs, and this one is pretty mild in comparison. The other one you hang out at has much worse stuff on it on a regular basis than this one does.

That aside, did you see that link someone posted last night of an SCS thread about a bunch of customers spilling over onto there to complain about things like missing anni sets, snarky emails and responses from Jenn et al to their enquiries, posts being deleted when they complained, problems with the site, myriad unresolved issues on which they were essentially being stone-walled by the PTB? Did ya? Coz that thread from was from March 2008!!!! Exactly four fucking years ago, and the people on that thread were talking about long standing issues even back then.

So sorry if some of us here don't have a lot of sympathy and some of us even feel like whatever happens is deserved. It is simply inexcusable. The chickens are coming home to roost so to speak, so no, I don't care too much what happens to them in the end.

As for Dawn, like the rest of the DT she's simply a shill. I don't have any sympathy for her either, just like I didn't have any sympathy for Jenn. Now Jenn was more openly hostile towards customers whereas Dawn is good with the cheerleader act, but I have no illusions at all that she will do anything it takes to keep her name in lights and keep the moolah rolling in. She said as much yesterday. And I completely agree with the earlier poster that Dawn and the others will suddenly poof from the boards now that the release is over, just as quickly as they arrived.

Finally, if you don't like the smack here, you know what your options are. But I'll tell you this much, a lot of people are blowing off a lot of steam here and that's ok, because over there people are getting banned, posts are being deleted, and long standing issues are being ignored. This is a damn good option for those people to have their voice heard without censorhip.

Everything is just so wonderful and perfect on the forum today. You would never know that this has been the worst month since I've been following PTI. Oh well!

You're "perusing" the store , not so you can buy anything of course but just so you can make sure you don't miss out on anything such as a missing image, or a drop down box that might be missing. Honestly?? You are making mock orders just so you can see if there is an issue at the checkout?

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

LOL, I'll agree with you so far as it's not like it is exactly difficult to find such things up with the site. Did you see the tech problems thread from yesterday?? How many hundred is it up to now? I haven't checked in today yet. Get off your high horse. Several of those problems people were told had been FIXED by the mighty Nichole herself yesterday prior to the release. Now I'm certainly not ordering, but I sure don't blame anyone who does a mock order to see if stuff is fixed before they do.

11:33 (I am 9:44) you are right. I didn't take into consideration they are being banned left and right over on the PTI. Some of which was clearly a "pre-release party clean-up" of the troublemakers. So maybe I shouldn't have come down so hard on the tone here. I can admit that PTI's actions of the last few days have been crazy stupid and definitely incited some of the elevated tone here.

And I was the one who linked up the SCS thread from 2008 when digging up info on the stamp cruise in 2008. You guys don't have to tell me how effed up PTI is -I am right there with ya all.

As for Smack Center, yeah I pretty much have abandoned that place of late. I am a stamper and couldn't care less about Studio Calico and their drama. It was much better back in the day.

Really? Well thanks for that. It was kind of spooky reading it and hearing almost exactly word for word the same stuff we are hearing now.

**PLEASE NOTE--I am not writing this to excuse any PTI actions/lack of action. I am just here to share my experience today**

It looks like they might be making a *little* headway on this huge Titanic of a disaster they have created for themselves. I tried to order last night to use up a gc and my reward points, but my order did not go through. I tried paying the overage via paypal but kept getting an error on PTI's end. I saw on the forum that people were having problems with Paypal, so I decided to try with with a cc instead and then my gc code said it wasn't valid or had no balance. I was POed, to say the least and posted on the Tech thread. I was ordering late Pacific time, so there was no one moderating at that time.

This morning I got up to find a pm from Nichole with an email address to contact her directly. I sent off the requested info right away and she responded within 15 minutes. We exchanged several more emails and an hour or so later I was able to place my order without any problems.

Of course, this does not fix all the problems they are having, and it does not mean I will be ordering anything else from them anytime soon. However, I do want to let people know that at least some things ARE being handled directly by Nichole.

Maybe, just maybe, they are finally realizing just how much trouble they are really in!

I'm glad that Nichole contacted you and that you were able to order.

I am still really hung up on the fact that PTI has had a month to fix last releases problems and they just kept screwing up.

I thought that maybe for a second a lightbulb went on for Nichole when she started at least trying to be nice on the forum before her customer service note in November.

BUT, it just seems so natural to add a bit of snark. Her answer to Seansee in the "Julie, have you sent out the Anniversay sets?" thread said

"Jenn put together a list of those that were still missing sets and they were cross-referenced with the shipping list from the last anniversary shipments. Those on the most current list had already been shipped to once (and in some cases twice) and it is not clear why the sets did not reach their final destination. Julie is at the warehouse as we speak shipping a second set to the folks still waiting, making it top priority for her day today. I sincerely apologize for the delay that you have had to experience. It was not fair to you to have to wait for this earned and well-deserved freebie and I can only begin to imagine your frustration. We are looking forward to the opportunity to resolve this issue for all those in question."

Why did she have to add the word freebie? I know that it will seem nitpicky to most but to me there is still that underlying tone of snark.

Flame me if you must.

Curiosity led me here and after reading the posts I have concluded the folllowing

You ladies, and I use that term loosely, are jealous of Nicole Heady. You are jealous of her success and that "nice new house."

It's obvious that many of you who have never had a bad experience at PTI continue to chime in on posts with your venomous comments just to keep the the pot stirred up. I'd bet the farm you are like that IRL.

You act like a bunch of middle school girls keeping the drama going. Grow up.

Most of you don't have the nerve to post using your name but post as Anonymous instead. Are you ashamed of your words? You are nothing but a bunch of cowards.

I am amused that as much crap as you talk about PTI you are still ordering. hahahaha All talk.

I suggest you take a long hard look at yourselves. What would you think if your children posted on boards using the kind of language you use here. Is that the example you want to be?? Think about it.

shanduck said...

14:10--I agree with you, for the most part, although I don't read "freebie" as snarky, more as trying to put a little justification in there (for herself.) However, I do agree she COULD have just put "stamp set" and there really wouldn't have been anything read into. On the other hand, I do see how people could interpret it as snarky since she has built herself a reputation of snarky, disrespectful responses.

Unfortunately for PTI, it may very well be a case of too little, too late. There are going to have to be A LOT of changes before I shop there again, along with most everyone else here, I would guess!

Dear Linda,
Many of do post on the forum and we post the same kinds of things here. Just as you don't want us to come and spew our venom over there, I would appreciate you not spew yours here.

Since you brought our children into it,I bet yours are going to be the ones that never take a stand for anything and are happy to just sit back and get walked all over.

Go back to your sunshine and keep ordering from a company that will keep offering you excuses and crappy service.

I hope that you feel morally superior for your rant of a post.

GO AWAY LINDA.

You have your stupid happy place back so stay there and leave us alone.

Anonymous said...

Wow, I wondered how long it would take before someone played the jealous card. You have us pegged Linda p.

Anonymous said...

Linda, there is a huge difference between how children talk and how adults talk. Moot point here.
Jealous? Not at all. I have a high paying job in a professional field, actually do something daily to make the world a better place at that job, and have a brand new and beautiful home.

Re: Nichole helping out with orders. The timing of it all sits so wrong with me. Great. She was glad to make sure she got your money on release night, but where has she been the whole time before then when so many people had questions?

Wow, methinks thou dost protest too much.
