I'm psyched about the pti-knockoff blog. And can I just say that the sneak peeks suck so far. I never liked little bitty bird and an additions set is even lamer.
I know several others have said this, but where is the innovation anymore? Additions, frames, tags - blah! And sorry, the golf set doesn't count - I hate golf. And my 4 year old could draw a better golf cart.

How can PTI keep so many stamp designers in the roster when NH is personally pumping out several sets a month?
Today's peak - a back pocket set. Really? Wplus9 just did those at the end of last year, and did them well. In fact they did them right around the time of the PTI brainstorming meeting...yep, that was a totally original idea.
Tables are turning --- used to be the other companies with sets inspired by PTI, picnic basket, etc...
Sad to think that Nichole's well has run dry. That's the company's biggest asset, the loss of that combined with the fiasco on the business side is not good!
I cannot believe that Taheerah's order has been sitting at PTI for over 2 weeks without movement! Please tell me that tracking number is incorrect. I would be livid if I were her.

Jennifer has a new title & set of responsibilities with us as our Communications Director. This means that she will be acting as our official representative on our forum, she will be handling many of the responsibilities behind the scenes here on the blog as well as coordinating the events on our forum & prize winners information, organizing the newsletters and so much more. Basically representing a direct line of communication between the customers and the three owners.
So last night I got a PM from the PTI spokesperson that said voicing our displeasure with PTI's customer service is "counter productive".
Just wanted to let my fellow smackers know that PTI wants us to shut up! Please please keep their shitty customer service in the forefront!

Annieb started the anniversary set thread on 2/26. That is 11 days ago. None of the women on the thread who complained that they did NOT receive their sets, have come back on the forum to say that they were contacted by the PTI owners to apologize and offer loads of product to make up for the blunder. For me, that says it all. PTI isn't really sorry and they really do not care about making it right.
Any apology and free stuff would be too little too late. I can't be bought with free stuff, and there is no excuse in this world that can't simply be explained upfront.
I agree that there is no excuse at this point that would make any sense. They are trying hard to hide something ... but what? Someone hinted the other day that they can't reproduce the set because they were sued for plagiarizing. True or rumor?
Bet is hasn't been fun when the first sets you introduce and have PTI manufacture, cannot be sold because you didn't do research to make sure they were correct. Doubt the PTI PTB were thrilled...
8:47 - Lizzie had a bunch of foreign language sentiment mini sets that were supposed to be released last month, but they turned out to be bad translations, so they were pulled at the last minute.
Was it last month or the month before she promoted, and PTI was going to release, the foreign language sets? A day or so before release they made an announcement that some had to be reworked.. the stamps would have had to been produced by that time.
Ended up a lot of the sayings were not really correct.. they were too literal and would never be used in those ways by native speakers.
It was like she just went to Google translator, typed in her phrase, then used that.
There are many people on the PTI board who speak the languages she used. It would have been so easy to get input beforehand.

The PTI PTB have no room to criticize sets with errors. They need to add "proofreading" to *THE LIST*. You know, the list we'll pass along to Julie, get a call in to Dave, all hands on deck, we're all over it.......
Yes, Ida (8:58), that's absolutely it. This is at least the third time that they've gotten all the way to release week with a set that had to be pulled due to typos. Absolutely absurd. It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who reads Nichole's blog that she's not a spelling or grammar champ.

Seriously regarding the anniversary sets. I think it can only be 2 things. That they are SO disorganized of logging of orders (THEY MUST be using a database??) that they have trouble tracking? Did their database get wiped out?
OR it's a supplier issue. But if they can produce other sets why not this one? So the suggestion that there is something amiss with the images (someone mentioned above) seems like a possibility.
I agree, but even without a database they have a list of people right on that forum thread. If they had any PR at all it would be smart to grease those wheels. They're probably not sending them to the off forum customers anyway, but for Pete's sake take care of the loud ones. Just common PR sense.
It's too bad they can't take the time they are currently spending on micromanaging the forum and use it on actual customer service. How is it they don't understand that if they fix the CS issues, they won't need to micromanage the forum?
I don't really see how an image copyright issue makes sense either, though. If that were the case, then they would KNOW that there is no way they will be able to send those waiting their sets, so they would have to offer them SOME other resolution (product credit, refund, something) instead. It would make no sense to just string everyone along if they knew that the sets would NEVER be forthcoming.
WEll to be fair the people onthe forum are quite loudly demanding answers to Jenn needs to step in ....deleting facebook comments is a waste of time though...

Maybe if "PTI" is taken out of the blog name. Use something very obvious but not not the exact letters (although that's not technically their name, right?). No reason for Jennifer to take it down over anyone else's blog.
I think part of the problem might be the direct mention of the smack blog in the first post. If it's a let's use what we have challenge, it's one thing and isn't in direct violation of any forum terms, but if it's a let's use what we have challenge because we're anti-PTI, it's another.
I think it's a great idea, and I hope to join in sometime. I really only have PTI, there is a lot of repeat in their themes, so I'm sure I'll find something old that I can make new with many of the challenges.
Alright, I think I figured it out. The same bafoon who designed the website is the same one who is in charge of the database. Makes perfect sense to me now.
For those of you talking about my "Goodbye PTI" thread... I wasn't expecting people to miss me or be sad or anything like that (I don't take myself that seriously). My only intention was to let PTI know that they were losing a customer... Not a big deal for them, but if everyone that is not ordering would do the same, we could become a very visible pain in the but to them. That's all!

It was kinda funny, in a sad way, when the foreign set was released. All the int'l stampers were like, "Ummm, nobody really says that. Ever."
It also must suck to make a grand designing debut to an audience of po'd customers.

Seriously regarding the anniversary sets. I think it can only be 2 things. That they are SO disorganized of logging of orders (THEY MUST be using a database??) that they have trouble tracking? Did their database get wiped out?
OR it's a supplier issue. But if they can produce other sets why not this one? So the suggestion that there is something amiss with the images (someone mentioned above) seems like a possibility.
I agree, but even without a database they have a list of people right on that forum thread. If they had any PR at all it would be smart to grease those wheels. They're probably not sending them to the off forum customers anyway, but for Pete's sake take care of the loud ones. Just common PR sense.
It's too bad they can't take the time they are currently spending on micromanaging the forum and use it on actual customer service. How is it they don't understand that if they fix the CS issues, they won't need to micromanage the forum?
I don't really see how an image copyright issue makes sense either, though. If that were the case, then they would KNOW that there is no way they will be able to send those waiting their sets, so they would have to offer them SOME other resolution (product credit, refund, something) instead. It would make no sense to just string everyone along if they knew that the sets would NEVER be forthcoming.
WEll to be fair the people onthe forum are quite loudly demanding answers to Jenn needs to step in ....deleting facebook comments is a waste of time though...
At this rate, they should have done that from the beginning. At least a dozen, more?, have already been strung along. Damage control is what is needed here.

I think part of the problem might be the direct mention of the smack blog in the first post. If it's a let's use what we have challenge, it's one thing and isn't in direct violation of any forum terms, but if it's a let's use what we have challenge because we're anti-PTI, it's another.
I think it's a great idea, and I hope to join in sometime. I really only have PTI, there is a lot of repeat in their themes, so I'm sure I'll find something old that I can make new with many of the challenges.
