to the poster from the last thread waiting to buy 2012 Birthday Tags. REALLY? Isn't there another company you can chose to buy from? After yesterday's non-customer service email, I am DONE.

I'm so glad to see Nichole posting here....via Anon 10:39 from the last thread.

Anonymous said...

^^^ I meant 10:29 from the last thread.

Hi Nichole! Taking a break from telling Lupe how to launder your unmentionables??

Anonymous said...

Weel to be honest....if I WAS buying, 2012 birthday tags would be first on my list. The set is designed immaculately....

Anonymous said...

It is a beautiful set. If you like that style, I suggest Waltzingmouse Stamps.

Get over it. You do not need PTI and they don't deserve you.

Cashed out all my rewards points prior to the release and holding strong.

Though I wish I'd have waited till after the zipper dies came into stock to buy. (Not to mention the fact that I love the b-day tags and Simply You...)

I am in the "don't want to see PTI fail" camp. I love their designs and feel that there really are no other companies that could fill their void at this time. I would love to be able to shop there with confidence again.

Like most of the posters here, though, I find it difficult to spend my hard earned dollars with a company that just seems not to care about its customers.

Maybe Jane's husband (the deceased gentleman whose name I cannot, unfortunately, remember) was the brains behind the printing operation and then Julie and Jane brought their special brand of mismanagement to the table after he passed away.

Maybe they're running Heskamp into the ground, too. They don't seem to have two business cents to rub between them.

You know, PTI's problems are really over.

Anytime anyone has any kind of problem at all, they only have to say:

Gee, that's too bad. You were warned.

I don't know if I could fault them for that at this point - anyone who has problems was warned. Caveat emptor.

I liked Joan at Paperlicioius' take on the whole PTI debacle.

The only thing I take exception with is her defense of Jenn.

Jennifer Ellefson created the reputation she's got all on her own. The fact that so, so many people have mentioned being rubbed wrong by her "helpful" responses says something about how she comes off.

You know that scene in Pretty Woman where Julia Roberts gets snubbed by the bitchy saleswomen in Beverly Hills? My past interactions with Jenn have left me feeling kind of like the prostitute in that scene - like lowly me should be glad that high and mighty PTI lets me shop there.

I suspect Jennifer would have received a lot more empathy from us crafters had she ever made any real effort to treat customers with respect and grace.

You reap what you sow, Jenn. Maybe you'll think about that if you ever have another customer service job again.

I love it, Little Miss T still has no resolution to her missing package! Karma's a bitch!

12:59 I really doubt that was Nichole. IF she reads here, she sure as hell wouldn't post for fear of Smack III seeing her info show up in the stats and out her. I know I would NEVER chance it if I were in her shoes.

My guess is that she doesn't come her directly and probably has someone copying and pasting them for her.

I love Waltzingmouse too, but let's face it. The stamp sets are really expensive and she doesn't offer all the ancillaries we have grown to love and order (paper, DSP, dies, ribbons, etc). And there aren't the little cute sets at a lower price point.

But, until PTI shapes up it's CS issues they won't (and haven't for months now) get another DIME for me. Even if it means losing my rewards money.

Anonymous said...

Disagree with WMS sets being expensive
The set are HUGE. With lots of stamps laoded in.

DEFINITELY way more that a PTI $24 set.

"Gee, that's too bad. You were warned.

Well the people that go to the forums have been warned anyways. Not everybody got their mass email.

Does anyone remember the slit punch from SU? It does the same thing as the new card basic dies but you can use any size cardstock that you want as your base.

I do like Amber's solution too.

Just noticed this on my receipt for my recent (but last for a while, at least) order:

Papertrey Ink

Has the phone number always been there on Paypal receipts? I don't remember seeing that before.....

I just did a reverse search on this and it is a cell phone in Cincinnati, OH.

Man oh man. I just caught up on today's posts.

Seeing the troll comments actually made me laugh! Imagine that! No inflammatory response or knee jerk reaction to spew hate. Just laughter.

I am so glad I have strong principles and firmly believe in the powers of consumers in this great country. Because without people like us Smackers, PTI would not be changing their ways. We are actually working to make PTI a stronger company. And if trolls think our unusual ways are dramatic it's because PTI simply won't listen to anything else but extremism. Again...not our fault.

It's sad that the trolls don't realize this. Instead of focusing on the real issues of a single company, they choose to handsmack us empowered women (ahem - no disrespect to Trell) for having "unlady-like" attitudes. And it's a real shame they don't see the irony in what they're doing - judging us based only on our comments and not on real actions. Whereas we are judging PTI on real actions that they have exemplified. Who is setting the bad example for young children in that case?

I'm sorry PTI turned us into such bitches. Because I'm not a bitch in my non-PTI life...I'm a very nice, helpful lady who will give you the shirt off my back. But when it comes to PTI...well...I'm not even a bitch there, either. But I do have morals and ethics and will stand up for myself. And my patience ran thin a very long time ago.

HTH! :D

Honestly, I don't think 10:29 from the last thread is either a troll or a unicorn. I think she just reacted too strongly to something she read. She even kind of apologized. And I most certainly don't think it was Nichole or any of them. There's no need to feed into anything, everyone here has as much right to put their opinion as anyone else. She really didn't say anything terrible and was quite respectful.

As for the phone number thingie, I have sold and taken payments via PP for years and they require you to have a phone number on record. I wonder if it is the same number that the woman called and got put through to Nichole at 6am in the morning. She then got a scathing email about how disrespectufl it was of her to call, from Julie. I believe Julie aslo told her she'd be better off not shopping with them anymore. Oh, and I think the text about that is on this blog somewhere but it was originally on the Sephinka blog in the comments to her famous post about PTI.

Ang, I love the way that you are updating your thread! Since it's the weekend you probably won't see anything until Monday but keep updating! :-)

Seriously 16:48? Are you reading the same post I am?

This whole smacking activity has me somewhat amused. Are you people seriously spending your time flicking back and forth between here, the PTI forum and the SCS forum so you can report on what people are saying, buying, what you've said in a thread (which you seem so proud off that you must come running back here and repeat it - hey, guess what I just said - yeah, well done!!).

You're "perusing" the store , not so you can buy anything of course but just so you can make sure you don't miss out on anything such as a missing image, or a drop down box that might be missing. Honestly?? You are making mock orders just so you can see if there is an issue at the checkout?

What the hell kind of sad lives do you people live? Go and spend time with your families for god's sake.

I came here to see what a smack blog actually is and am delighted to find out that I am NOTHING like the kind of people that some of you seem to be. Thank you for making me feel even better about myself than I already do. I am glad I will never have the misfortune to actually have to meet any of you in real life because the ugliness that you exude would be just too much to bear.

Now I will not be visiting y'all again you will be pleased to know. This was merely a "curiosity got the better of me" kind of situation. I don't even care to know what you think of my comments, I shan't be back to check.

I am off back to my fabulous life full of sunshine and unicorns (my daughter actually has a unicorn themed bedroom so I am not being sarky here). I wish you could all be as happy in your own lives as I am in mine - it can't be a good feeling being you.

Cheerio!

She didn't say anything "terrible" and she was quite "respectful"? I hope you are being sarcastic.

Please also take a look at post 14:29 (linda p). There were definitely some trolls on today.

Has everybody received their February orders except internationals?

Anonymous said...

Naked Ink, you and 16:48 are talking about separate posts.

I think 16:48 is actually defending my post from the "another one just in case" thread at 9:44 and again when I kinda apologized on 11:49. I think anyway because she said "she kinda apologized", which I did.

She may have accidentally said 10:29 (#1) which is clearly not a regular poster and one time troll.

So all is forgotten.

The people that had issues last month have been assured that their problems will be taken care of. They will go away and probably never buy from PTI again.

The first page of the forum is full of happy posts and we are the bullies.

Astonishingly, Papertrey will continue.

Nice.

off topic, I just finished a blog hop of Nina B Designs and The Cat's Meow (which I always get confused with The Cat's Pajamas).

The stamp sets and matching Spellbinder dies are really cute. Anyone have experience ordering from TCM?

Anonymous said...

I haven't placed an order since last summer with the exception of adding 1 stamp set to a friends order in November.

I really can't find anything to put in my cart. I was mildly interested in the new dies but I have a Cameo.

I was able to buy everything that got bumped from my previous orders through the Buy/sale forum.

I am not really feeling sad about saying goodbye. I guess that makes it easier.

Anyone have the courage to call that number and see who answers? LOL

Who should I ask for?

Anonymous said...

Ask for the Papertrey Manager!

Regarding the Cat's Meow: I bought stamps (little Frieda) at the beginning, when Lisa, the owner, was starting (it seems like it's only her managing the shop) and I got my order (1st class for 2 clear stamps) in 4 days. I haven't ordered anymore since she hasn't released the little Frieda stamps but the minute she does, I'll order some more.
She previously worked for WMS and I'm not sure, but i think she also was DT for Sparkle Creations and Lalala land stamps.
