Free cuts for your stamps. Avery Elle. Flourishes. This is going to undercut those who charge for dies and take weeks to restock 'em .
Hey Rick, let those "brilliant" businesswomen know that the tides are turning. Giving us a free way to make use of expensive machines is a brilliant way to lure customers away who are watching their wallets.
I agree that cut files are going to be a huge part of the paper crafting industry as more and more digital cutters become more affordable and 'cartridge-less'. If PTI doesn't see that coming, they're going to be left in the proverbial dust. Then again, they gave up on templates completely after Lauren Meader ducked out, with no plans to reintroduce them. Suck it PTI. No longer 'on trend'.
I hated the Cricut. Too much work for the results I got. Would I feel the same way about a cameo? Also, I am not good with computers other than basic word processing and surfing. Would it frustrate the heck out of me? Also my computer desk is small. How much space is needed?
Does it trace around the stamp or trace around the die?
Have the circuit express, used it a few times then left it in the dust. I found using the sticky mat to be tedious. Bought the cameo when there was hoopla about it last thanksgiving. It's still in the box. I might need it someday. Lol! You'd think I would have learned by now.
16:50, not that it matters, but I've missed Lauren. She brought something completely new to the PTI table. I wonder if she's ever regretted leaving, and I wonder if PTI would do anything different, if given their time again, to keep her on?
(And I preferred what Lauren did with PTI stuff to what she's done with her own. Never followed her when she moved on.)
So Nichole is saying that they won't be selling that awesome Charcoal ink by Palette anymore. Even though she always uses it??? And PTI's crappy ink is now being looked at. AGAIN. Plus, all Palette inks are now showing as unavailable in the store.
Lordy Bees, don't companies do product testing and QUALITY control?!! I would NEVER release a product without testing it thoroughly before making it available to the public.
Oh, and the people testing the new products should by idiots and 'MORANS'. When you get it so that even they can't screw it up, then you can release it.
I love that so many other companies are going to be offering silhouette files! I made that suggestion to PTI many, many months ago, but nobody seemed interested.
18:56 - when a waiter brings me a fly in my soup and I send it back to the kitchen, you may call me a hater ... but I still won't eat it (or tell everyone what great soup it is.)
Avery Elle reminds me exactly of PTI in it's infancy. They only had a couple of sets that were unimpressive by themselves, but put into the hands of NH and a very talented DT, they were amazing. I don't know who the owner/designer of their stamps is, but I'm almost positive she is/was a huge PTI fan. The designs are not direct rip offs, but the PTI influence is obvious.
