I have been doing some cleaning in the ol' craft room and reluctantly putting some wood mounted stamps in the giveaway pile. Like several others, I have difficulty parting with supplies. Every 2 years, I do a purge and get the stash down to a manageable level. But my faves, I keep.
I'm also trying to purchase things that are more my style and that I might actually use. No more DCWV (and the like) paper stacks for me! Those all went to a pre-k teacher last purge.
That being said, I use what I like. The recipients of my cards are not crafters and have no idea how old the paper or stamps are.

Take a leap outside the box and try different colors of Fresh Ink. You wont be disappointed
All Fresh Ink colors are great. I use Chamomile for Lemon Tart, Pool for Hawaiian Shoes and Fuchsia for Raspberry Fizz.

Fig is a very warm, brick color. Not orange, not red. Google the word 'Fig' and look at the inside of a fresh fig. That's pretty much the color of the ink.

PTI can go fly a kite. Every company I have ordered from in the last 4 months can get the package out and in my mailbox in less than 5 days with no issues every step of the way.
Ordered from LilInkers on Friday. Due to be delivered tomorrow. Avery Elle took 48 hours. Ellen Hutson took 48 hours. Impress took 72 hours. WMS from the UK (!!!!) took 6 days and shipping was cheap. I agree, PTI, cannot keep up this slow shipping and compete.

Just wondering if anyone here was one of the people that had a faulty Sunrise IP and what was the outcome for you? Did you have to send it back? Did you have to send pics? Did you get a refund/credit?
Better yet, anyone crazy enough to buy a Herringbone impression plate and admit it? Wonder if it's the same crappy quality. Wouldn't put it past them to continue skimping to maximize their profits. Look at the inks. They're now up to 6 colors that have consistency issues.
Is it possible that the PTI colors themselves are a suitable RGB blend for liquid pigments? Think - cardstock, buttons, and ribbon colors are beautiful, fade proof, and consistent batch after batch. Paint? Couldn't get to market (no reason given). Ink? You know the story. Seems anything sold in a liquid form has issues but the dyed products are fine. The issue seems to be the stability of their perfect match color formulas over time when kept in a liquid state or set properly.
Anyone got an ink pad that changes color after its been stamped? I wonder if heat setting the image would fix the color properly?
That should read - PTI inks AREN'T a suitable RGB match.

I don't understand why anyone would buy a Herringbone impression plate from PTI when there is already a Herringbone embossing folder from Cuttlebug (and has been for years). Embossing folders give much nicer impressions than impression plates and are easier to use/cheaper. There really aren't too many different ways to do Herringbone, they're all the same.

Thanks 6:31, from all the discussions/complaints I've seen about impression plates vs. embossing folders, I've always assumed most people preferred the deeper embossing of folders. I guess I never thought otherwise.

Most craft stores carry it. It is smaller than impression plate size, but I haven't had a problem repeating the embossing over a larger sheet of paper. Repeating patterns are easier to do this with.

Most companies feel that until the package is in your hands, they are responsible. They track, insure, or whatever to make sure you receive it. IF you don't receive it Paypal will take payment back from them. Visa does the same thing.

To the person above that asked about the sunrise ip situation, I ordered one, it was defective and I had a go-around with Julie. Without warning last week I got the postage reimbursed. Yesterday a new ip came in the mail. It is also defective. I'm not sure what I will do at this point.

Reply to the ticket you started with their Zendesk CS, tell them you want to return it for a full refund. Period.
If they don't issue you a refund within a specified amount of time, contact your CC co.

I bought the sunrise IP. Have had no problem with it either.
I bought the Herringbone IP plate too!. Love the impression PTI's plate give over the Cuttlebug folder, plus I like the option of both sides as well as the larger area the impression covers.

I think you guys are right, PTI has a lot of the top notch designers (save ACN). Verve also has some amazing talent. But, there is more than enough great designers left to make an amazing DT. Gina should seek them out and clean house!
