New Space + Possible Ink Reference Total Resource 411? :o

Sorry for my absence. I have been quite ill, but now I'm back and let the party continue!

Re. Pages for ink references I will happy to put up a page right on this blog for product comparisons but many of these ink comparisons are all done by different customers and posted in various places. If any smackers want to help this ink comparison page along, please comment in this post with links to blogs that compare the shades or full spreadsheets, copy/pastes of someone's forum. I'll do my best to put all comparisons in a list along with user comments such as 'goes with certain color but not a match'.

How's that sound to y'all getting together and creating our own resource ink page? C'mon smackers don't have to be smacking 24/7. If everyone provided their snippets of info we can surely get that page up.

Oh and hahaha, thank you for making my day:

>>The only way I'd ever buy ink from PTI again is if the label said something like "Perfect Match by Memento" or similar. In other words, a proven brand name behind it.
27 July 2012 10:33<<

This would be no guarantee that their inks would be good, the first inks PTI sold were made by Stewart Superior, makers of the very popular and successful Palette inks. Palette inks work great, Perfect Match inks by the same manufacturer suck.
Lets just put it this way, Perfect Match inks will suck no matter who makes them, the brand is cursed.

This blog has limitations when it comes to information sharing. (Like not being sure where to find that ink link!)

Is anyone here interested in a new forum? Sort of an "Unofficial PTI" kind of thing? Not a smack forum, but a place where people can discuss things honestly, good and bad - if you love your new stamps you can say so and if your ink is giving problems you can also say so.

Thoughts?

Anonymous said...

16:22 I'd be up for that!

PTI Smack III said...

16:22 I'm sure that will be a great forum and not to be snarky at all, but I think smackers speak up here if they found anything good/bad. Perhaps... if the forums have dedicated 'review' posts for each stamp set, die, ink, and whatever the crap PTI sells .. uh lol dvd cases? I think that would be pretty swell and everything isn't all over random space posts :)

If you make this site, will be happy to put up a link here!

PTI III Smack, hope you are feeling better!!

Has anyone noticed this regarding PTI returns:

Please be aware that if you return an item which makes your order total fall below the FREE shipping amount, shipping charges will be added and the remaining balance will be credited to your account.

These idiots have balls that clank!

So how's Ted's forum doing, hahahaha!

^^ If the SCS poster is serious about her reason for creating that thread (i.e. to warn potential customers who may be searching for PTI reviews before hitting the "buy" button, then she needs to write out Papertrey Ink in the title and body of her post. Seven months ago, I didn't know what "PTI" stood for and didn't realize Papertrey Ink even had a shorthand name.

LOL, looks like the home page says "Little hatred for little boys" when one of the pictures flashes up. I know it says hotrod, but the font sure looks like "hatred".

Compared actual Fresh Ink ink to new SU ink. Fresh ink is richer and more vibrant with better coverage. I also like the colors better.

Anonymous said...

I have quite a few ink comparison charts to PTI inks, so if a new post goes up, will be happy to copy/paste them.

Anonymous said...

PTI's return policy is one of the most asinine, counter productive 'business' policies I've ever heard of.

The Impression Plates sell for $16.00, so let's assume that they cost PTI $8.00.

How much time has Julie spent emailing back and forth with the customer? Supposedly testing the inks? Add the postage for them to send the defective die back to the customer, and they've probably spent about $8 to prove a customer wrong and probably lose their business forever.

They've got to be losing money trying to prove people wrong about their shitty ink, too.

Rick, these are the "brilliant businesswomen" of PTI, eh?

Anonymous said...

I ordered from Market Street Stamps Tuesday morning around 11 AM CST. I got the stamps today. I chose first class mail as that was the cheapest. So nicely packaged in a bubble wrap. Why can't PTI Ship a single freely earned stamp internationally in a first class mail without having to charge the customer 32 dollars. Totally sucks.

Lion Through Their Teeth said...

Thanks for the comparison between Fresh Ink and SU. I've been contemplating ordering an SU ink to see if I like the new pads. Now I don't have to. :)

Anonymous said...

Did PTI get the SCS thread hidden? If I click on the link it comes up but I don't see it if I scroll through general stamping talk

Anonymous said...

I see it now

Anonymous said...

The problem with PTI locking and deleting the customer service threads is that people will just go to SCS and 2Peas and they have no control over what gets said there.

At least on their own forum, you have to be a member to see the content. I would think that it would be better for them to keep the issues close to home.

Anonymous said...

Ah, but 7:01, that is an approach that would require using common sense. PTI has often demonstrated that they don't really have any.

Anonymous said...

I also think that 2 Peas and SCS are read by far more people. PTI is really only for PTI customers and many stampers don't even know they exist. So their first hearing of the name will be the SCS or 2P's threads and it will turn them off forever. PTI should know that women scorned won't shut up just because they try to slap them to shut them up.

Anonymous said...

I'm up for a forum. I post under my name at SCS and 2 Peas and don't mind the loss of anonymity.

You go doctorfoodie!

threads being moved around still

Unread postby doctorfoodie » Sat Jul 28, 2012 12:40 pm
I started a thread that was moved to the product questions and ideas. It certainly was not a thread on product question.

Admin, please stop doing that. In this digital age, stating that someone was somewhere when in fact they weren't, is like planting evidence electronically. Not cool.

Re: threads being moved around still

I also meant to say 'stamping talk' forum has many various threads in it, and in fact most of the posts by the DT could very well belong in other categories too (off topic, blog talk, showcase, etc).
Anna

Anonymous said...

Rick, you are a joke! You think people are that stupid. You make it worse for yourself and PTI. Moving threads only masks problems. Gutless wonders!

Anonymous said...

Doctorfoodie's thread seems to be gone! Not impressed.

Anonymous said...

yup...the last comment that shows for her is regarding the inkpad/lack of customer service issue.

Rick must be freaking out that he's being called on the carpet for screwing with the forum again.

Anonymous said...

I would like to comment on every single dt post that is not stamping related suggesting where it should be moved to!

Anonymous said...

It seems that doctorfoodie had some ink issues and couldn't get a suitable resolution through zendesk so she posted on the forum. That thread was locked. After this last post was removed I would be some pissed if I was her.

These are the things that make people go to SCS and 2Peas telling anyone that will listen how horrible the customer service is. These are loyal customers if they have been around for a long time SO these are not the customers that Papertrey should be alienating!!! Stupid.

InkStink said...

You know, if PTI worked on the things they can control (shipping, customer service, inventory, a fully functioning website, product issues), they wouldn't have to worry about the things they can't control (people's posts outside their forum, us smackers, etc.).

Anonymous said...

AMEN to that InkStink.

Anonymous said...

I would like to comment on every single dt post that is not stamping related suggesting where it should be moved to!

Gah! I meant moved TOO. Shame!

Anonymous said...

Rick, if you are reading this, deleting and moving threads makes people angry. The ladies of the message board are not stupid and even the most loyal of customers look at that and think that you are just trying to cover something up. It causes people to complain on other message boards which you have no control over.

Go to SCS or 2Peas and search Papertrey. I guarantee that the threads are no favorable.

Anonymous said...

I really hope you meant "to" and not "too".

Anonymous said...

Welcome back, PTI Smacker! Hope you're on the mend :)

Anonymous said...

Don't you hate it when women are seen as little lambs who are blind to being manipulated?

So there's no way to buy some of the CSS dies on their own ... you have to buy the stamp and die bundle .... so annoying!

Anonymous said...

Here's something off subject - there is a thread on the forums about 'wearing expensive sun-glasses'.
Some admit to not wanting to spend a lot of money on something to protect their eyes, but will drop a load of money on PTI products.
Is it just me, or is this weird?

Anonymous said...

I buy several pair of cheap sunglasses every summer because I lose them. My eye dr says cheap ones are just as good.

Anonymous said...

Well... if you are the type of person who thinks the more money you spend on clothes the better you are, then, yeah... saving on your clothes budget to spend on your hobby would seem weird. It's all in how you prioritize things. If you spend less on clothes and accessories you have more for your hobbies. If that's how you want to divvy up your money, that's cool! Frankly I think it's stupid to pay exorbitant amounts of money on designer labels just so you think you look cool to other people. Seriously, it's ridiculous the way humans judge each other based on stupid displays of wealth like having the "right" name-brand labels on your clothes.

InkStink said...

Quiet here, too. I'm just taking a lunch break and then back to stamping birthday cards. What's everyone else doing?

Anonymous said...

For anyone who thought things were getting better...friend ordered on SAF, label printed 7/24, still no movement. Really want to say "told you so"!

Anonymous said...

Just following a blog hop and found several who placed their very first orders with PTI at SAF. Someone should have warned them!

Anonymous said...

^^^^^ that's what will keep them Afloat....new customers that have no idea of the CS problems

Anonymous said...

My SAF tracking says expected Monday. But like many of you, I don't get why other packages sit in the warehouse. Maybe they ran out of the free stamp set and are waiting for more to arrive? Even so, there is nothing wrong with updating customers in an email saying they are waiting for backordered inventory to arrive. Other companies do this all the time. Simple communication would go a long way.

Anonymous said...

Enabler, here. Tons of used stamps on the forum. The $24 sets are only $16; the $15 sets are $11. Plenty of dies too.

Anonymous said...

I've often wondered why PTI permits the re-selling of product on it's message board. They basically aren't seeing a dime from the sales. I wonder if they will eventually realize they aren't making money by letting people post used sets and end up shutting down that as well. I'm sure if they do, they will have some mumbo jumbo bullshit reason for doing so..."We care so much about you as customers that we don't want to promote the sale of used - and possibly less than Papertrey perfect - items on our message boards."

Anonymous said...

Wow, if I wasn't pretty sure you did not already work for PTI, you sure do speak their language, lol! I think I will get some sets ready to sell before they do that.

Anonymous said...

Wow! Lots of people selling stamps on the forum at great prices today. Just picked up 2 sets I have been wanting!

Anonymous said...

Call me Chicken Little but I see it coming...

"It has been brought to our attention that some people aren't paying full price for the Papertrey Ink experience. As you know we NEVER run sales so we can pass along our always reasonable prices to you, our valued customers, everyday. Because of the actions of a few who think they can fully use a stamp set and then put it up for resale, we are forced to step in. From now on, all Buy-Sell-or Trades must be approved by the moderator."

I wish that I saw that sale post earlier. The 4 sets that I want are already gone.

PTI is planning to shut down after their big october release if they don't hit their sales goal.

Anonymous said...

Thanks for the warning, Rick.

Anonymous said...

Dr. Evil (AKA the unholy PTI trinity): Okay then, we hold the (stamping) world ransom for...One... Hundred... BILLION DOLLARS! If we don't make it, we shut down completely, thus depriving the stamping world of our brilliance.

(of course, if they suddenly came up with a stamp set of sharks with fricking laser beams attached to their heads I might be tempted to buy)

Anonymous said...

20:33. Do you want to make a wager on that? Yeah I didn't think so. @@

Anonymous said...

It makes sense. I think October is their biggest month.

Anonymous said...

If there is some truth to what what 20:33 is saying, the "brilliant businesswomen of PTI" will have succeeded in destroying one of the most popular, successful stamp companies in the modern era.

Looks like Julie should have spent less time testing ink (and calling customers liars) and more time, um...actually trying to move her business forward.

It's too bad the brilliant businesswomen who run PTI were more concerned with their egos and miserly ways than with building good will with the people who lined their pockets.

Apart from the few who are 'moving away from PTI' I am wondering if people are just selling off their older sets (or those impulse buys) to stock up on new stuff.
Maybe people here are right - folks are waking up and seeing all those other fabulous companies out there who offer good business practices and good shipping, especially for internationals.

Anonymous said...

Wow - one poster has over $1,700 of stuff on the FSOT board.

Anonymous said...

20:33 as much as you would LOVE for this to happen I highly doubt it will.

Anonymous said...

Sorry, I call bs.

Anonymous said...

I'll wager it. I believe it to be true, at least, I wouldn't be surprised. I heard little grumblings at CHA about vendor problems they (PTI) are having paying their bills. And it makes sense because nov and dec are light months and September Oct are literally their cash cows for the year. One final push and they are out.

Anonymous said...

Nah, sorry, still not buying it.

Anonymous said...

Enabler, here. JoAnns has a coupon for $2.95 shipping, no minimum. Today only.

Code: CUJ212

Anonymous said...

Ok, "sharks with frickin laser beams" stamp set would win me over FOREVER!!! So thanks 21:07 for that morning chuckle!!

As for why PTI allows a FSOT board....their goal (as should the goal be for any online store) is to keep people on their website for as long as humanly possible. That's why they have a forum, a gallery, contests, blog hops, etc. To keep you on their site and not on anyone else's.

So even though they aren't getting any $$ for those transactions, people looking for those used sets who are not quick enough to snatch them up might be inclined to just pay full price for what they think is a sure deal.

As for the ink links, Smacker III could start a thread and name it INK COMPARISONS and everyone under the sun who's found a comparison they want to share can post to that one. Then Smacker III can pin a link to that thread to the side, like under neath all the other stamping resources, for future reference.

Who cares if anyone can see my IP. I'm a no namer who doesn't even have a blog.

Melissa Phillips forum posts reek of desperation. Doesn't anyone at PTI see this as well?

Anonymous said...

I'm a vocal smacker and I hope PTI doesn't crash and burn in October. I want them to wake up and change their shitty attitudes, not close their doors. However if they do shut down, they've done it to themselves. I feel no guilt about it!

Anonymous said...

I don't get what you mean about Melissa.

Anonymous said...

I wonder if the dt gets product credit for every thread that they start? Some (okay most) of the posts are very lame!

Anonymous said...

I'm not 8:32, and I don't know which DT is Melissa but all the recent DT threads are desperate = trying to get lame conversations started.

What kind of stamps do I use when I mail out my cards? What ever the frick kind I have in my purse at the time!!

How often do I purge my stash? When I don't have room to drag any more shit home.

Where do I get my inspiration...from blogs, mags or pinterest? Who really cares.

What do I do with my cards...sell them, send them or hoard them? Again, why does the DT care about this?

I'm all for waking up the forums, but not with lame chatter for chatter's sake.

Anonymous said...

that's ok 6:01. You stay in unicorn land and i'll try not to laugh when they crash and burn

Anonymous said...

How about a thread that says "What can we do to make Papertrey better?".

Oh wait, they will never ask that because it would become a huge fiasco.

Anonymous said...

PTI is planning to shut down after their big october release if they don't hit their sales goal.
29 July 2012 20:33

^^^^^^

any proof at all? Or are you just spreading a slanderous lie?

Anonymous said...

I think there are signs that they are not making progress in the minds of customers or in actual changes. They can only go so long. Most companies try to get the most they can before they shut down and Sept/Oct releases are those times. Most companies have a really poor Dec/Jan so it makes sense.

Anonymous said...

Even if it makes sense, I think that troll person just wants to start shit so that he/she can come back and call us a bunch of idiots for believing some internet anon.

Anonymous said...

I've worked for a failing business before. It takes a surprisingly long time to circle the drain especially if you have a superior product. PTI does. (And so did the company I worked for.)
If PTI opens their eyes and is willing to change their philosophy from "the customer should be grateful for the chance to do business with us" to "we are grateful for the chance to do business with our customers", they might succeed.
Until then, they are in fact circling the drain. But that is a very long process with no definite length. And I doubt it'll be in October.

Anonymous said...

They have been circling the drain for 3 years and the last 6 months the water is running out faster.

Anonymous said...

Nostradamus, I'm not saying anyone is lying or not. I'll just believe it when I see it. People have been predicting PTI's down fall for years.

Anonymous said...

Well, when you get down to it, with their business attitude, they've been circling the drain for 5 years. You can't run a long-term successful business that way. But from my viewpoint, it's only spiraled out of control in the last year or so.

Anonymous said...

Look how many first time buyers there were from SAF. PTI is getting new customers even with their reputation. As long as enough people keep buying, they will still be in business.

Anonymous said...

10:31 again - Meant to add,I just don't see the complete washout happening soon. Anything could happen, I suppose, but I'd be really surprised.

Anonymous said...

So, when a company goes under...what happens to their inventory? any unfilled orders? any in-process returns/exchanges?

Anonymous said...

Oops, I meant I was 10:30 again, not 10:31

Anonymous said...

It all depends on how a company goes under. Did they just shut the doors, is there bankruptcy involved, a buyout?

The company I worked for didn't exactly have an inventory, it was more service related. First the company was sold intact to another company. All assets (equipment, employees, paper clips, etc.) became the property of the second company.

I saw the writing on the wall and got the hell out of Dodge. Later they shut the doors. Then sold off the assets to other companies.

If there is bankruptcy involved, assets would need to be sold to pay the debts, I believe. If they decide to shut the doors with no bankruptcy, they can do whatever the hell they want with any assets. (Barring any contracts of course.)
Any pending orders would have to either be refunded or fulfilled. (Not sure if/how bankruptcy would affect this one.)

Anonymous said...

^^^ "...hell out of Dodge." I'm picking up what you're laying down. heeheehee.

The website has been a source of frustration for many...I am sorry you have had to deal with the limited functionality and other "bugs".

I am, however, happy to report that the search and cart functionality of the website are going through re-development right now, and we hope to have the new cart in place sometime in August. We have been putting it through it's paces, and we have found the search / sort functionality to be a vast improvement over the current system.

Thank you so much for your continued patience, and we look forward to providing a better shopping experience for you soon.

I'm always wary of purchasing used sets from someone who (a) just joined this past Thursday, 7/26 and (b) barely has 6 posts.

Kinda suspicious that they would be selling 47 stamps sets the first time they come on the board. I'm fortunate enough never to have been burned by a seller, but it can/does happen. Just look at th FSOT forum on twopeas where they maintain lists of good and bad sellers.

Buyer beware, I guess.

people buy because they love the product and i can guarantee that each time they submit that pay button, they pray their order isn't f-ed up and that they get it THIS CENTURY.

when they don't 1) get their order 2) in a reasonable amount of time 3) correctly and 4) with product quality as described you bet your ass they will come here and bitch about it - as they should.

Does that make it a little more clear for you?

I really don't understand this whole Sunshine IP problem everyone is having. Everyone that has complained has said that the design is showing through to the back side. But the IP's are 2 sided. All the ones I have, anyway. So, one side is landscape, the second side is horizontal. Or one side is impression, the other side is embossing. Isn't this one 2-sided? I don't mean this to sound snarky. I am just trying to figure out what is wrong with this one. It the metal super soft or something?

Imagine the thousands of PTI customers who:

1) get their order 2) in a reasonable amount of time 3) correctly and 4) with product quality as described.

This is why PTI will continue to thrive and grow.

Thank God for PTI!

6:32, I'm actually part of your 1%.

This blog was created for the 99.

6:19, I don't get it either. To me, if the impression plate still works on both sides, I doubt I'd make a stink about it.

Anonymous said...

6:19 and 6:42, I will continue to "make a stink" about the impression plate because I am uncertain about the long term effect of the B side image "pushing through" to the A side. With each use of the B side image, it gets "pushed" further into the metal (if that makes any sense). My first run of the impression plate produced uneven debossing.

This isn't rocket science and as a consumer I shouldn't have to beg for a solution when I am sold a defective product.

with continued use, there is the possibility that the imn

^^ ignore that trailing sentence at the end. Was trying to organize my thoughts and forgot to delete.

I think the thing about the impression plate is that the back impression is transfered to the front side.

This is hard ot explain, but imagine the IP in 3 layers the back design, the middle plate, and the front design. When you run the IP through the middle layer is so soft/thin that the back design rises up on the front design side. So when you look at your plate from the front you see the main front design, but also smaller ridges of the back design where the middle plate was deformed from running it through.

Now when you go to use it, it doesn't just impress the front design on your paper, but also a lighter back design too.

When it is something like the linen IP or the cane pattern, it probably isn't so bad, but with the sunshine one it puts rays going across your paper in the direction you don't want.

Does that make sense?

Anonymous said...

^^ thank you for explaining very clearly what I (and others) are experiencing.

Anonymous said...

Thank you for explaining the problem with the Sunshine impression plate.

My ep is showing both designs on the cardstock when I run it through.

Anonymous said...

Well my SAF order is out for delivery. Here's to hoping my free set is actually in the box!

Anonymous said...

6:55, I'm 6:42.

What no one was explaining until 6:56 came along, was that it actually doesn't work as expected.

So far all the bitching i've heard here or in the forums is that the design is "showing through" on the other side, which to me sounds like no big deal.

So yeah, if the plate isn't impressing properly or is impressing too many designs on one side, then surely PTI should do the right thing and refund customers.

Anonymous said...

I'm 6:56... I'm just explaining what I think people are dealing with (sounds like I'm right).

I have 3 IPs. I have only used 2 of them. The first is the linen one which hasn't shown any marks through it, but like I said, even if it did I probably wouldn't care.

the secodn one is the polka dot one. It was the firs t9or one of hte first) IPs released. It is MUCH thicker (the middle plate part) than the other 2 I have. The third is the woodgrain one. A friend used it once when she came over for SAF. I didn't check it after to see if the marks came through. I will have to check it now.

I think PTI cheaped out or changed suppliers and let them thin out the middle plate part of the IP and that is causing the issues. The first polka dot one I can't bend but the woodgrain one bends easily in my hand with no effort required.

(7:38 here - sorry for all those typos above, hit post too fast)

Anonymous said...

I agree with the changing to inferior materials for the IP's. My last impression plate purchase was an older release. There is a marked difference in material quality from my earlier puchased plates. The latest one bends and warps, especially in the middle.

so in order to sell anything successfully on scs or 2 peas or wherever, people need to have a blog and be an established seller? then how do new people, who have been piling up things they want to sell all at once rather than a few here and there, get any buyers? serious question here - no snark. because i have a bunch to unload and can understand people being skeptical, but i don't want to have to start posting into ridiculous threads at 2 peas just so people will take me seriously.

Anonymous said...

You don't have to have a blog. Sell yours at a yard sale or something. But when it comes to the internet, scams happen all the time, and it pays to be safe.

Please tell me I am not the only one in the world who could care less about the Olympics. And why is it that suddenly everyone is in competition for being *the biggest fan of the Olympics, EVER!* Seriously?

Anonymous said...

I don't care about the olympics either. Think how many people could have medical care with all the money spent on playing games.

Anonymous said...

I don't mind if someone doesn't have a blog but I am hesitant to buy from someone that only has 1 or 2 posts. If you post on SCS, that's where you should sell. Same with 2Peas. If you have zero posts on the PTI forum, I will not be buying from you.

I decided to order this month with the thought that if something went wrong, it was my own fault for being so stupid.

I have a defective sunrise impression plate. I wish that it didn't make me so mad waiting for a response that will likely be less than satisfactory but it does. I should have known better!

WOW!! Becky out did herself. The Gina release this AM promises to be wonderful!!

think about how many people could have medical care with all the money wasted on scrap supplies.

Anonymous said...

You think scrap $ BEGINS to compare with the wasted olympics that once they are over they are gone forever?????? Billions and billions in training and all that goes with it could CHANGE THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

damn 8:23, does everything have to revolve around medical care all. the. time? can the healthy people have any fun in life or is that a no-no too, in your book?

Anonymous said...

Here is the answer that I got about the sunrise impression plate.

I am very sorry that your impression plate was damaged when running it through your machine. It sounds like your machine is calibrated a little bit tighter than other machines. You probably didn't need the tan mat when running it through your machine. Nonetheless, you are more than welcome to return it for a refund. You can return it to:

Papertrey Ink
Returns
5514 Fair Lane
Cincinnati, OH 45227

In this case, we do not offer a refund for shipping as the plate was damaged in use. With that said, if we determine that the plate was defective we will give you a refund on the return shipping up to $3.00. Again, I am very sorry that the impression plate was damaged during use. If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

SO, even though I used Papertrey's suggested sandwich and it has worked for every single other PTI impression plate that I own, it is the fault of my machine. The fact that it is mentioned twice in this exchange that it was "damaged during use" leads me to believe that I will NOT being seeing a $3 postage refund.

Damn.

Anonymous said...

Sorry, Julie mentione 3 TIMES that it was damaged during use, not 2.

Anonymous said...

there are lots of things we could all do without that would change the world....but nothing will ever eliminate sickness and death. and you don't have to shit all over the olympics because of that fact.

Anonymous said...

It's your fault, your fault, your fault, your fault, your fault. We never make a mistake! Your machine is bad and ours is good, tralalalala,.

Anonymous said...

Our priorities in this world are SO screwed up.We should take care of the problems before we throw millions at playing games.

Anonymous said...

9:07, that really sucks. and over time I would think your machine becomes LESS tight, not more. so it's really weird that other older IPs aren't damaged yet this new one is. PTI owners are insufferable.

Anonymous said...

millions? billions is more like it.

Of course Brittny Spears should get 145 million per year when firefighters have to use food stamps.

After all we should be able to have FUN without guilt!!!

Anonymous said...

^^ 7:31, not true. Read 19:04's comment. She clearly says, "The impression was uneven." People aren't complaining just for the hell of it.

Anonymous said...

So, buy impression plates, use their directions, and if your plate deteriorates in the process it has nothing to do with the quality of the item??

Anonymous said...

9:12, i can't keep up with all your world issues. what does britney spears have to do with the olympics?

Anonymous said...

So you have used THEIR suggested sandwich and it has ALWAYS worked but it is still your fault that this impression plate is warped?

Anonymous said...

9:12, you should sell your computer and go help cure cancer. why are you wasting so much time on the internets? there are more important things to do with your own time & money, you know.

Anonymous said...

I even mentioned the sandwich that I used in my initial zendesk ticket. How can this possibly be my fault? It has worked for EVERY other Papertrey IP that I own. It didn't feel tight going though. Color me livid.I am more angry at myself though for ordering.

Anonymous said...

I guess the fact that my husband who is under 50 years old and dying of a disease that will take him slowly, for which there is a cure we cannot afford, makes me a little testy.

Anonymous said...

Then Papertrey needs to include sandwich options for each plate they make if they don't all work the same. For pete's sake, the only way to know if it works is to buy one and risk ruining it??????

Anonymous said...

First of all, she didn't "shit all over the olympics". She made one comment, so Fuck YOU!
Secondly, the money that is spent on Scrap products is our money, not the country or government. We as individuals should be able to spend a little bit of our extra money on something we enjoy, like a hobby, which doesn't hurt anyone. Our country is *throwing away* BILLIONS of dollars for some games. There is a BIG difference between the two, and if you cannot see that, well....FUCK YOU!

Anonymous said...

Back to the smack topic at hand...

I have similar metal impression plates from other companies and none of them warp or impress through to the backside like PTI's latest batch.

I'm thinking it is a PTI cheapo product problem.

Anonymous said...

Occasionaly 'newbies' have a hard time figuring out what sandwich to use, we've all heard people asking. But I have never heard so many complaints all at the same time about the same IP. It is obvious that the product is inferior.

Anonymous said...

No, it is obviously the customers that are inferior.

Anonymous said...

The question that needs to be asked on the forum:

So IF it is MY machine that is ruining the plate, why doesn't it ruin my other PTI plates? Let them try to spin that one.
