PTI paper: 5 and 5 on the Cameo settings.

to the person who asked me to turn on anonymous comments on my blog, I did. Thanks

Ha! Nancy Baier removed the Amuse Links from her SCS profile. Yes, I was talking about you when I said you shouldn't be smacking another business.

Anonymous said...

I pretty much lost all respect for Nancy when she started bashing PTI on SCS. I mean it's okay to voice your opinion once or twice, it gets the point across. Over and over and over again is just classless.

SU will be dumping all the wood starting next year. The 2 options will be red rubber and clear. Yes, this is why the ink changed and there will be some other changes too.

*****************************

What are the other changes?

I guess I don't really care that they are dumping the wood blocks because my wallet speaks louder and their non-wood stamps are cheaper.

I wonder how much the clear sets will cost?

Anonymous said...

I love how someone on the last thread was drumming up business for Nancy and now Nancy has been busted. Ha!

Anonymous said...

It speaks volumes about a demo's professionalism when they keep their mouth shut about another company.

Anonymous said...

WOW....Make it Monday. Are they serious? How to stamp on patterned paper.

1.Ink stamp
2.Choose paper
3.Stamp

Does that really need 23minute video?

Anonymous said...

Dear Design Team Members,
Please, please, please stamp your image exactly centered on the die cut. It really looks terribly unprofessional and makes me not want to buy the dies.
Thank you.

@5:22 & 5:41 I agree with you 100%.

@6:26 You have to remember that there are new stampers out who would consider these videos very helpful. Some people don't think out of the box like the DT does. I know that they use techniques that I wouldn't ever think of on my own.

Nancy also posted on FB yesterday that she is dumping all stamping friends off FB. (She does not have her security set and so us non-FB people saw it when her she posted on another person's post).

About your Cameo - I tend to go overboard on the blade settings but For PTI cardstock I set the cardstock setting to 80 lb., the blade setting to 8 and change the actual blade to 8.

I had problems with my machine not cutting so I took the blade housing out, removed the blade and made sure that there were no paper bits stuck (I've heard that can be a problem).
I also put the blade housing back in with the protuberance pointing directly downwards. I had had it slightly off center and I think that is what caused my problem.

Back to PTI CS

I ordered the strawberry stamp when it was released (I know order at my own risk...but I wanted it because I make strawberry jam and I Needed the stamp to finish the lids for gifts).
Well of course I did not get the little word sweet. So I emailed CS with my order #, etc. I was told the stamp will be sent. On the forum, I saw that people were getting their stamp so I responded on the thread saying I had not received my stamp. NH locked the thread and told me to email CS. So I emailed them again and I was told it was sent but if I don't get it by the end of the week to let them know. Of course I never got the stamp so I emailed again (every time I email and get a reponse my ticket gets closed). Now this has been going on for Way to Long but I am not going to let it drop. So I email again and ask for a date of when my stamp will be sent and when can I expect it. I don't hear anything for a few days. Well today I get another email asking for my order number. WTF??

So I respond again saying how frustrating this is. Hello,
This is very frustrating...the first time you emailed me you said the stamp was sent. Now I need to prove that I ordered the stamp? You don't have records of orders placed? I am sorry to sound this way but this should not be so time consuming.
The order number was
... according to my account on the PTI website. I hope that helps. I know other people received their stamp over a month ago. Can I have a time frame for when I should receive mine?
Thanks,
I am beyond frustrated...over a tiny little stamp. What a mess

Just try to go after a $3 refund and you will find that it takes hours of re-explaining over and over and over again. They don't even seem to read and are trying to fix things that don't need to be fixed while the really issue is "solved". All I have to say Is that if your time is worth anything that "sweet" stamp will be about $30 in value by the time you get it.

Anonymous said...

8:18, I have a question about that whole debacle. Was the "sweet" stamp omitted from the Strawberry Patch set or the Strawberry Sentiment set? Because I see a small "sweet" stamp in the Strawberry Patch set.

Anonymous said...

""You kinda have to know your geology..."

No, Ashley. You need to know your geography.
---------------
Bwahahaha!

Anonymous said...

@ 8:35 It was from the sentiment set. It is on the card insert but not included with the set.

Anonymous said...

Why do people still feel they are owed that little "sweet" stamp? I thought that one wasn't supposed to be included anyway.

Or maybe I'm thinking of another debacle where the printer screwed up the index labels. There have been so many debacles that it is hard to keep them all straight.

@9:07 I don't understand this either. Seriously, most of the people that are making the biggest deal out of it, probably would never have noticed it to begin with! Just something to bitch about, and when you have so many people clogging up customer service with bullshit issues, it only makes it harder for those with legitimate problems!

Anonymous said...

9:07/10:04 - if you take a step back from smacking the customer, you will read the "sweet" sentiment showed up on the card insert but wasn't included in the stamps. Ergo, it is PTI f-up and they need to fix it.

Sheesh. Focus people!

2 July 2012 10:04

=================================
The customers affected have a right to bitch b/c PTI made it into such a ridiculous issue. Rather than just sending out the stamp to all the customers who ordered the set (which would have been the easiest, fastest and MOST LOGICAL step any other company would take) they are basically calling all the customers liars by making them PROVE they bought the damn set in the first place.

They create all this extra work for themselves and try to blame everyone else but in this case it just proves how idiotic they all are.

I don't blame the customers that are frustrated over "one little stamp" - they had to spend all this extra time PROVING they ordered and e-mailing back and forth when they really shouldn't have had to do anything.

When a company fucks up it's their fault, they fix the fuckup by sending out the damaged/missing item (especially when it's something that's missing from ALL the sets - not like it was a select few) to all who ordered. Instead they add in 10 extra steps a customer has to do first then double that amount of work by ignoring most of it.

Anonymous said...

Is that what you do with your website business?

Anonymous said...

Is that what you do with your website business?

2 July 2012 10:34

================================
????? I don't have a business - but I've ordered from enough companies and been stamping for enough years to know PTI's business methods/"customer service" (ha!) methods are not the norm.

Any time there have been issues (which are pretty rare with other companies - it hardly ever happens) it gets dealt with ASAP - and I've ALWAYS received a polite response and quick resolution. All other (or at least most other) companies would publicly post if/what issue there would be and deal with it. But surprisingly all the other companies rarely have issues, yet PTI has a new one every week. It's a mess.

Anonymous said...

Vehement 10:24, I get what you are saying. I totally do.

Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuut, what I don't get is PTI repeatedly said the stamp WASN'T SUPPOSED TO BE INCLUDED. Didn't they? So customers are clammoring for something they aren't supposed to be getting.

Just like those bitches on the forum that started pouting that they got their correct Shit-a-Faire orders instead of all the extra goodies PTI stupidly and mistakenly shipped out. They had no right to bitch because they got exactly what they ordered.

Similarly, I feel the strawberry patch people shouldn't really be bitching either. They got what they were supposed to get. Yes, PTI screwed up. They should get their packaging correct before they roll anything out to the public.

But really, there has to be some limit to what people should be demanding from PTI. I just don't feel right to fight for something that really isn't mine. I think we should spend our effort clogging up zendesk for things that matter.

Additionally, does this missing 'sweet' stamp make the entire set purely useless? I doubt it.

Anonymous said...

Thank You 10:24.
I am the original poster and I do not normally post here or on the fourm though I do read both (I do not complain about every little thing). It was not my fault that PTI left out a stamp! I realized the stamp was missing as soon as I put the stamp set away. It is up to PTI to fix the problem. I don't care whether or not you agree with this. PTI said they would send the stamp out and I want it!
Also you mentioned that I am clogging up CS...if they would do things right the first time they would not have so many CS Problems!!

Anonymous said...

it's me, 10:44, again.

but I do agree with 10:24 when she wrote this:

"Rather than just sending out the stamp to all the customers who ordered the set (which would have been the easiest, fastest and MOST LOGICAL step any other company would take) they are basically calling all the customers liars by making them PROVE they bought the damn set in the first place."

It shouldn't be difficult at all for PTI to see who ordered the stamp without even needing to hear a peep from the customer. They are terribly unprofessional and do not at all have a grip on their business. When I think of how that place runs, I envision loose papers flying all around the office whenever the oscillating fan blows by.

Anonymous said...

@10:44 You are right - PTI did say the stamp wasn't supposed to be included in the set. So technically it was a minor screw up.

Now any other company would have said "whoops!
Our bad - but you know what we'll send it out to y'all anyway (even tho yes it's an extra unforeseen cost but keeping your customers happy is more worth it (duh)".

And PTI kind of DID say that - BUT then they made it into a total clusterfuck and pissed everyone off in the process by making it such a pita to get the damn stamp.

THAT's the issue - they can't keep things SIMPLE to keep their jobs easier and keep their customers happy. They make EVERYTHING more difficult - just to make them look like a bunch of martyrs for being "nice" and "accommodating".

If this was the only issue PTI was having then yes the customers affected are totally out of line. But like many many many others it's just a drop in the bucket.

Technically yes the whole issue of this stamp should be dropped -but PTI made a promise to provide the stamp - so logically they should follow through with it and be done with it. The fact that every little thing with them takes WEEKS, MONTHS (even years - what a mess) makes me shake my head.

Anonymous said...

Wow 10:44! If you don't want to read about CS problems or problems with PTI in general you should probably go somewhere else.
...maybe go read a good book. Have you heard about 50 Shades? It will give you something to focus your energy on.

Anonymous said...

10:47, that is true, if they said they are sending it to you then they absolutely should hold good to their word.

Anonymous said...

@10:47: I didn't say anything about you clogging up CS - someone else did. They were right BUT so are you LOL. You deserve the stamp that was promised to you - but like 10:50 said you shouldn't have to lift a finger to get it. It should have just been sent out.

And LOL 10:50 that's pretty much how I picture PTI's business end - papers and piles everywhere and people running around in circles every damn day.

But since they like to keep it such a huge secret just WHERE they do business and how would it be that far of a stretch to think we might be right LOL??

Then the poster before you explained why this particular issue is a big deal and I happen to now agree with her. So FO and get back to your reading, you old withered crone. @10:44

I don't think PTI owed anyone extra stuff for the SAF eff up. I do think it is BS to tell everyone they shipped, blame it on the post office for the delays, all the while holding on to the box and taking out the other stuff.

Why not say, "we are sorry, due to an issue we had to pull some of the boxes back, we will get them out the door as fast as we can."

But wait - I forgot we are dealing with PTI and the queen bitch who will never ever admit she is wrong or saying anything nice to anyone.

Anonymous said...

I'm 10:44 and I agree with you.

Anonymous said...

Hey 08:18 - I just wanted to say that you do have every right to be peeved.

PTI has openly made a commitment to send that stamp out. You qualified to be included in that commitment.

PTI needs to put some action behind their words.

If you were still sitting here, months after, griping about the fact that it was printed on an original sheet and PTI refused to create a stamp for it, the story would be different.

Anonymous said...

It does not matter to me which side of the fence you fall on. If you yell and use profanity and excessive punctuation, you look like an angry fool. And that's not a handslap, it's a fact. :-p

This. I don't know why every single thing has to be such a big deal to PTI. Also, if they say that they are going to do something, they should do it.

I loved the vision of papers being strewn around the office with a fan. That's totally what I think it looks like there!

I think the people who want the 'Sweet' stamp deserve to get what they paid for.

That's my point. They didn't pay for the "sweet" stamp. They just decided they wanted it later.

Anonymous said...

I would rather see Rick in CS than Jenn E.

1. I don't assume that he created the website.
2. I have seen people here say that he has actually helped them when they've emailed him.
3. When he got something wrong recently, he admitted he had made a mistake. (Which is a step forward.)

Reserving immediate judgement.

While it would be a fair assumption that Heskamp does the printing, does anyone know for a fact that that is the case? It was assumed that Rick and Julie were married and that was wrong.

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...

How can Rick send a stamp when he isn't even at the place where the stamps are?

Anonymous said...

@14:30

They didn't decide they wanted it later. They saw Nicole demo it, they saw it included in the preview on her blog, they ordered it. Then PTI changed the picture on the website..... It wasn't added later

Anonymous said...

17:02, I don't think that's what happened. I think no one knew anything about the small "sweet" until they saw it on the index card that arrived with their set and then wanted it.

Anonymous said...

It doesn't matter whether customers saw it on the web before ordering it or on the index sheet after receiving it. If it was pictured as going in the set anywhere at any time and then not delivered as such without a retraction or explanation, that is false advertising. It is PTI's responsibility to deliver what they advertise.

Anonymous said...

It was on the preview and the insert.

I seemed like they wanted to do the right thing and send the stamp, but then everything got messed up with customer service.

I had a similar experience where I:
* emailed
* ticket closed
* waited 2 weeks
* saw that others received them
* reopened ticket
* no response - for 1 week
* emailed again
* ticket closed
* reopened ticket
* received it in the mail
* told PTI that they could close the ticket

This is just way too many illogical steps to correct an error.

Anonymous said...

14:48 Jenn confirmed it
Around the change in packaging, when people were complaining on the forum that we get less storage and more printed materials, someone pointed out that Hekamp is the only one who benefitted and ppl were like hmmmm.....

So Jenn jumps in and says EVERYONE needs a printer (even Hero Arts was the example she gave). This relationship benefits PTI cause they get a great deal

Anonymous said...

She posted about Rick and Julie because someone earlier implied they weren't married, and she was clarifying that they had been at one time.

This blog makes me crazy sometimes with how little comprehension is displayed.

Anonymous said...

"It doesn't matter whether customers saw it on the web before ordering it or on the index sheet after receiving it."

I disagree. I think it matters hugely. If they saw it on the web before they ordered, it was part of what they were ordering. If it's just on the package later, it's a misprint. The customers are thus proving how greedy they are. I'm beginning to see why PTI needs proof from customers.

Anonymous said...

18:53.... I comprehend.....and I still say who cares................

Anonymous said...

OMG I can't believe anyone is saying that a customer is greedy because PTI made a mistake.
How easy would it have been for PTI to simply apologize for the mistake and send a stamp to everyone? Customers shouldn't even have to email CS for that to happen.

I googled J. David Heskamp and found an obituary stating that he died in 2010. It sounds like the correct J. David Heskamp because it says he's the husband of Jane Heskamp and father to JD Heskamp and Julie Heskamp.

SO, it would stand to reason that JD is also J. David Heskamp, right? So is Julie's brother the famed Dave from CS? Who also may or may not be the president of Heskamp printing (not sure if the president someone found was the father when he was still alive or the son now)?

However, a google search for David Heink (the last name PTI gave us when they introduced the mythical Dave) indicates that there is such a person who lives in Cincinnati.

Rick, can we get some info up in here? Who is Dave and what happened to him?

Also, does anyone know anything about the fact that there is a Smith Printing Company also owned by JD Heskamp that's listed at the same 3517 Cardiff Avenue address as Heskamp Printing?

I use the heavy cardstock setting on my Cameo when cutting PTI cardstock. I set the blade to 4 and always double cut. I rarely use PTI cardstock in my Cameo though. It is too thick and I never get a clean cut with intricate designs. I generally use Hobby Lobby cardstock, because that is what is available locally. Apparently, people report stellar results with American Crafts cardstock. AC cardstock is not availabe here in the sticks, so I can't personally vouch for the results.

I had been eyeing that set for awhile, and then at an event when I was speaking to Jen E., she mentioned something about how they were going to have to redo that set and eliminate some stamps. You better believe that I went home and ordered that set pronto! I got all the stamps and was happy. And sure enough, they changed the set to eliminate some stamps without even announcing it, and finally some people caught on. If I hadn't met Jen in person, I would have been one of the mad customers!

was that stamp set mat stack 4?

Anonymous said...

@ 15:50 maybe you should start a Simon Says smack board. ha

Anonymous said...

MFT has matching cardstock, buttons and ribbon. Don't know if this is new info or not but I don't remember seeing it. Is their cardstock Poptone?

Anonymous said...

what is Poptone cardstock??

Anonymous said...

I ordered from Simon Says and it only took about a week to get here.....international and not canada.

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...

Yes MFT's paper is Poptone. Matching buttons are brand new. Ribbons have been around for hmmm, a few months or so? They only have one style of ribbon, the grosgrain. They've had the paper for a while.

Anonymous said...

Now this is how to do it.

Anonymous said...

Can someone explain what Poptone is?

Anonymous said...

Claire is totally a class act.

Anonymous said...

Poptone: http://www.frenchpaper.com/pop-tone-paper.html

Anonymous said...

Adding that it's a good heavyweight card stock comparable to PTI's. Definitely shy on blue shades though.

Anonymous said...

$16.50 a package of 50 sheets? Outrageous!

Anonymous said...

Would love that new WMS pinwheel but only if she had a die to go with it.

Anonymous said...

Now this is how to do it.

========================

And with a little humour! You would never get that from you know where.

Anonymous said...

How many people do you anticipate will spend $100 on 7/21 but won't receive their free set?

Anonymous said...

Excluding cardstock, I would not even be able to put together a $100 order.

Anonymous said...

The order cannot contain cardstock? Why?????

Anonymous said...

I did not say that you can't buy cardstock.

What I meant was, I can always fill up my cart with cardstock. I can easily spend $100 on that alone. There is nothing else that interests me right now. There are maybe 2 stamp sets that I might buy from the for sale board but, excluding cardstock, I cannot see anything that interests me enough to spend $100.

Anonymous said...

Damn that's frustrating how SOME people jump to such odd conclusions.

Anonymous said...

^^^ smackers jump to conclusions all the time.

Anonymous said...

Sure sounded to me like the order had to contain stamps and not cardstock.

Anonymous said...

In my opinion, anyone that is expecting the free set without a hassle is much more optimistic than me.

Anonymous said...

Well, considering they couldn't even get the pre-order kits out without screwing them up...

Anonymous said...

15:53, 23:07 here. *I* care about figuring out what the accurate information is. An earlier person posted that there was a David who owns Heskamp Printing, so instead of speculating about who that was and what it meant, I decided to do 1 minute of googling and found out the information I posted. Sorry I deeply offended you or whatever.

Anonymous said...

^^^
The printing company information certainly doesn't change my life at all. But it was great seeing someone thinking and trying to find out what is true, rather than endless idle speculations and mindless f-yous, which regularly make me wonder why I'm here.

Personally, I'd like PTI to get their house in order. I'd like to feel like a valued customer. I'd like to believe that this blog has done some good somewhere.

But I don't kick my dog, never have. And I don't need this blog to kick (smack) other people around in cyber-space either.

I'd just like a company which once gave me a great sense of pleasure to get serious and get their act together, and as the PTI forum has been moderated to the point that nothing truly useful can be said there anymore, this seems to be the only place left to go. Sigh.

Anonymous said...

I think that Papertrey lost a lot of business with the dvd cases by announcing them before they were actually ready. I'm sure a lot of people that have already decided to switch have gone elsewhere.

Anonymous said...

I hate how the DT is completely seeding the forum with their own lame posts. It's so lame and boring. I've seen other companies do that when they are trying to hide or get past bad customer service and it never works. Just pushes people away.

Anonymous said...

The smackers are the ones who pushed people away form the forum, not the DT.

Anonymous said...

^^^

I completely disagree with you. I think that when PTI refused to acknowledge any problems and started shutting things down the level of frustration among some forum members escalated to boiling point.

PTI is completely responsible for the creation of this blog.

The smackers aren't on the forum any more, but the forum hasn't blossomed into a glorious happy place again.

And some die hard PTI supporters seem to have moved on.

Lack of respect? Lack of trust?

You can't blame the smackers for everything. They may have called PTI out on the problem, but they certainly didn't create it.

Anonymous said...

Rly!!!! Blaming the smackers !!!

And seriously, the most f'd up post I've ever seen on the forum was a vulgar uni bashing the ppl who dare to pollute her happy place...all the while using profanity and slurs

The forum is dead because if you don't post sunshine and rainbows you are pruned, threads getting locked and deleted, and in-your-face hand slapping from queen bees

Anonymous said...

The person dropping the "F" bomb needs to learn a new word. You look like a fool and have no credibility.

Anonymous said...

or fucking integrity

Anonymous said...

let's have a silly argument about why forum is dead.

my take:

1. PTI screws up
2. Forum gets insane.
3. Smack blog enters scene.
4. Forum gets a bit better.
5. PTI promises to clean up act.
6. Smack blog gets ugly.
7. PTI improves but essentially remains a customer service unfriendly place.
8. Smack blog makes it uncomfortable to post on forum without feeling exposed to mocking on smack blog.
9. conclusion -- all a big hot mess. lots of blame all around.

too bad. used to be a fun place. unless you were waiting for your anniversary set.........

Anonymous said...

Oh, yes. This blog is all powerful.

We have caused DT members to resign, and now we are responsible for the dead forums.

I'm sure that's it.

There's no way that PTI's history of poor business practices and poor treatment of customers has anything to do with the state of their forum.

No way at all.

It's got to be this powerful smack blog.

Anonymous said...

"The smackers aren't on the forum any more"

hahahahahahahahahaha

Anonymous said...

@3:32 haha. powerful???? really??? funny.

Anonymous said...

@ 3:17......#8? Really?? You think people don't post on the forum because they are afraid of being mocked here?? Do you think they all read here? Even if they do read here I would hope people would have more "spine" than that. I can tell you I don't post on the forum because I just don't bother with it anymore. I cannot stand the useless, fake "sunshiney" place it has become. I tune in here to get my PTI info.

Anonymous said...

Based on today's sneak peek, it looks like PTI is now ripping off the Kitchen Sink Stamps style.

Anonymous said...

The forum is unfortunately just a place for the smackers to sell their PTI stuff and for AMuse reps to sell their ink.

I think the For Sale/Trade forum will be going away very soon.

Anonymous said...

The roses shown on the sneak this morning are almost identical to SU's Stippled Blossoms. They are also very similar to the Kitchen Sink sets.

Anonymous said...

I hope that the for sale board doesn't go away. That is the only thing that I like about the PTI forum.

Anonymous said...

Has anyone else noticed that Just Rite stamps have turned into fussy grandma looking stuff?

Anonymous said...

Kitchen Sink Stamps was my first thought as well when I saw that peek. Also, not a chance in hell I'll buy that set.

KSS while very cool when done well are nothing but an exercise in frustration for me. Seriously, don't need that kind of stress in my life.

Anonymous said...

Just took my first peel at Kitchen Sink. PTI isn't identical, but they're darn close.

Anonymous said...

I'm sunk on the first day of peeks. Got to have that rose set. I was going to get the SU one that is similar, but the thought of having to use a Stamp -a-ma-jig every time made me shudder. The clear set is the best option.

Dadgum, I was doing so good not buying from them!

Anonymous said...

Yes, the roses look like kitchen sink. IF I were buying (which I'm not), it is the dies and whatever Betsy Veldman does with the set that would sell me on it. I love Kath Kidston and I can totally see this stamp set used for this look.

http://www.cathkidston.co.uk/c-103-fabric.aspx

Oh, and while I'm at it, I bet that at least one of the designers (if not Nichole herself) will make a card based on Cath Kidston.

Anonymous said...

oops, Cath, not Kath.

Anonymous said...

I have now stopped following Simon Says blog because Kristina Werner's white gel pen stitching drives me batty.

Anonymous said...

I have the SU Stippled Blossom set and it is not at all hard to line up. I did trim the stamps closer when I got them, though. There are a couple of extended curves that match perfectly every time with the SU set.

I love KSS and have most of their floral sets. I have learned to stamp them backwards. In other words stamp the last stamp first and then go backwards from that and it is not difficult at all.

Anonymous said...

Geez, stitching can make you completely dump a blog?

Anonymous said...

yup.
I took Kristina W off of my google reader a few months ago because it seems that she uses that same white gel pen stitching an every second card. I just don't like it at all.

Anonymous said...

There was someone that used spiral paper clips on every other card and that got old too. I don't know if she still uses them because I took her off of reader over a year ago.

Anonymous said...

Has anyone ordered WPlus9's Oatmeal cardstock? How does it compare to PTI's Rustic cream?

Anonymous said...

Yesterday afternoon i ordered fron SU and I mistakenly ordered a stamp set in Spanish. I called first thing this morning and they said it was too late.

Heavy sigh. You just cant win as a consumer.

Anonymous said...

If your SU demo won't fix it, then she is not a good demo. An order takes several days to "pick" so it can be fixed, but it takes a demo.

I love, love, love the white stitching. Can't get enough of it.

Anonymous said...

@7:57 If I'm not mistaken, you have 3 days to cancel an order. I know this is the case with CTMH. Check your receipt.

Anonymous said...

You do have 3 days to cancel but it has to be done through the demo.

Anonymous said...

Here are the SU ones:

Anonymous said...

@17:48 I disagree with you....the smackers are still on the PTI forum.

Anonymous said...

I disagree too, about the smackers not being on the forum. I know this because I am a smacker who posts, albeit rarely, on the forum.

BTW, did Dawn forgo her traditional "give a set of all my stamps away" birthday contest? I love tuning in for that but didn't see one this year.

Anonymous said...

My demo was able to work out a solution. She is the best. Thanks for telling me to go that route!

Anonymous said...

@7:53
I ordered Wplus9's Oatmeal cardstock. It is identical to PTI's Rustic Cream.

Anonymous said...

17:48 here ... And I think the issue of where the smackers are and aren't is irrelevant.

PTI needs some accountability - by not allowing issues (like the ink, which was the last one) to be discussed openly and honestly on the forum, they are inviting people to find other places to talk about their issues. Simply redirecting them to CS and then locking those threads doesn't create trust. Issues are swept under a moderated rug.

Are you suggesting that if one has issues with how PTI does business you should only come here? That the forum should be off limits unless you're a badge wearing unicorn?

I'm missing your point.

My point was simply that the tone of the forum is not dominated by negative issues anymore.

If people want it to be their happy place; if there are those who wish to believe that all is well and beautiful in PTI land and the most exciting thing is discussing the next highlight on the monthly PTI calendar - the forum is now by-and-large overwhelmingly, artificially "happy".

Anonymous said...

09:55
Just read the 'locked' ink thread and doesn't sound like the new inks are that fantastic.
Glad I found another resource with better consistency and colour-fastness.

Anonymous said...

I'm over the "mega" repeat sets. Does this mean PTI is out of ideas so they just make an old set larger?

Anonymous said...

Also, that rose sneak peek is way to old lady-ish for me. Not a fan at all!

Anonymous said...

10:35, that was my first thought too. Rehashing old stuff. Lazy.

Anonymous said...

People have been requesting that set as Super Sized...I have seen it. So, if it makes the customer's happy, why wouldn't you do it?

Anonymous said...

people have also been requesting a better website. wonder when that lamp is going to get rubbed.

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...
@3:32 haha. powerful???? really??? funny.

--------

Almost as funny as your utter lack of reading comprehension.

That was SARCASM, moran. SARCASM.

really???!?!? funnny!!!!

Anonymous said...

I have never looked at kitchen sink stamps before today. They look kind of neat to me. What say the smackers? Are they hard to use? How's the customer service?

Anonymous said...

11:13 - witty! Thanks for the giggle!

Anonymous said...

re: Kitchen Sink - Some have no problems with them. I am not one of those. I think they are a great idea. I think they look great when someone else stamps them well. They are so not for me.

Anonymous said...

Also meant to say, I think success with Kitchen Sink depends a lot on your patience level and tolerance for fussiness. I am extremely low on both counts.

Anonymous said...

Even more than the current SU sets, that sneak peek from today looks like older SU sets Cottage Rose or Pretty Peony....

Today's sneak peek reminds me of SU's Roses in Winter set, which is at least 10 years old. I don't see a problem with Kitchen Sink or PTI coming out with a similar stamp. I had that same pattern on my pillow case almost 50 years ago, and I'm sure it wasn't unique then either.

Anonymous said...

11:19, your sarcasm was totally obvious. I was going to explain it to 5:07 but didn't feel like wasting my words.

10:58, I'm not trying to pick a fight - honest - But I don't remember reading anyone list those vases in a larger format as something people would like to see. And i have read all the "what stamps could we make that would really get you to throw your money this way" threads that NH has started.

So if you saw something that I missed, please link a sister up because I always thought NH just said that "by popular demand" crap to make it look like it was the customer's fault if the set bombed on release day.
