Catching before 200!

Pretty sad to see that someone actually joined the PTI DT given the rep of the company now.

Personally haven't bought a thing since feb! Going strong :D

@5:47--Those leaf and flower stamps are from Paper Smooches Reflections set.

Those do look a lot like PTI's leaves, but I think they are Paper Smooches http://www.papersmoochesstamps.com/Reflections_p/qes-12-082.htm

I didn't get the huge PTI diss vibe that you did.

Doesn't anyone get that it is NOT ABOUT the $3. It is the way we are treated for trying to give you OUR money

Absolutely get it, thats why I haven't ordered(from PTI) since September.

Anonymous said...

I totally get it too....that's why my wallet has been closed to PTI for quite a while. Btw did try out Avery Elle. Like the paper a lot. Excellent communication with customer.

Anonymous said...

Donna, I get what you're saying. But I can't help thinking...you have problems with every order. Why the HELL are you ordering from this company yet again. Have you not learned your lesson?

And this cashing in my rewards stuff is bull shit. All of you who insist on doing this just can't make a break.

Stop ordering from this company for the love of God.

Anonymous said...

Gasp!! I thought Donna hated PTI and vowed never to order again. LOL The truth is revealed.

Anonymous said...

I can make a break, have some rewards points to still use, but as I said above, my wallet is closed to Pti. Keep hoping for improvements, but alas none are forthcoming... It only seems to get worse.

Donna C. said...

I never vowed to never order again. I took a long break and then ordered some basics thinking that surely things had to be better now. I took a risk. I lost.

Anonymous said...

Oh, how funny that this problem we've heard all about for days was Donna C. REALLY??? Come on!!! You are looking for problems and stirring pots! You are right. it is not about $3. it is about you are trying to find problems and make big deals out of them! You are only mad that Rick 'outed you' because YOU lost all credibility when YOUR identity was revealed! HA! too funny!

Donna C. said...

How did I make up a problem?

Anonymous said...

I see no reason to pick on Donna about this. But I guess I'm biased because I have rewards points to use also. I have 8 points. It should be 13 points. PTI screwed up in their calculations somewhere and I haven't had the energy to pursue it yet. I spent 7 months in 2011 trying to get my anniversary set. I'm trying to decide if I want to put myself through this again.

Anonymous said...

Why do you think Donna lost credibility? She ordered, there was an issue and since everyone involved at PTI lacks reading comprehension, the issue continues.

Sucks she was outted but it makes no difference if it happened to Donna or cknutti.

PTI's management and staff lack good business sense!

Rick is a tantrum throwing piece of shit who was very calculated in his post. The asshole still owes someone $1000 for a bet he made during one of those tantrum. Then he slithered away in silence only to come back to stick it to someone who's been pretty straight forward here on the smack blog.

Anonymous said...

Is the PTI owners skin so thin that they consider it being bullied when a customer requests what is RIGHTFULLY theirs???? The arrogance continues to astound me!

Anonymous said...

As NH might slappily say, "Let's focus on the fact that" Rick came to the frickin' PTI smackblog, using his own name, called their own web designer "Fuctards", and didn't even spell Fucktard correctly.

That's delicious smacking right there.

Anonymous said...

I bet that a lot of people here are still ordering. Chris admitted it too. I don't blame Donna for staying anonymous. The main reason that I haven't purchased is because of the stupid shipping and the fact that I really haven't wanted anything since last October.

Anonymous said...

Gasp! Donna ordered when she swore she wouldn't. teehee.

Anonymous said...

Okay, first of all when I read Rick's post and he said "Donna" I said to myself that I guess there's another Donna because that was an anon poster and made NO assumptions it was Donna C. Donna "outed" herself.

Now, also, Rick knows who Donna C is and also knows that she has been posting here extensively using her own name. I don't think it was unreasonable for him to just mention her name and not come back to check if she's been posting anon lately or not. It certainly was not done on purpose. I agree - he had no reason to mention any names at all, but it seems an honest mistake.

And I agree about Gina K - I hope Becky does some wonderful things there and I expect she will! But in complete agreement that most of Gina's stamp designs look childish or just technical (Shevde), i.e., boring. She's smart to look for some new talent.

Anonymous said...

True, Rick had no reason to mention any names here.

And Donna did "out" herself. None of us had any reason to assume there was only one Donna posting here.

I completely understand that it's the principle - it's really not the $3 whether that's a credit, rewards, or cold hard cash.

Chris Simon said...

I admitted that I ordered, and signed my own name to it, yes. My ordering is so far down from where it used to be - less than $100 this year so far, versus at least $1000 that I spent the first half of every other single year that they've been in business. Even a relatively few people cutting back that drastically has got to be noticed by any company that's in business to make money.

Would I rather spend zero with them? Sure. But I'm human, just like the rest of you. There are some things that I want badly enough to make a small purchase. I won't be bullied by some anonymous smacker(s) who insist that everyone who doesn't protest in exactly the way they want them to is an idiot. I am protesting, with my wallet (not completely shut tight but much stingier than it used to be), with my lack of endorsement, with my lack of naming PTI as the source of my materials, and so forth.

Anonymous said...

Yes, someone could post about Rick and the PTI forum but the post would just get removed and they would be immediately pruned.

I guess it could be quoted on SCS but I don't think that they allow that kind of language.

Anonymous said...

And how many times I have seen someone post that they were going to "speak with their wallets" and in the next thread they were stalking the mailman.
Donna stirred the pot every chance she got. Betcha she's thrilled now that she can stir it up some more while waiting for her refund.

Anonymous said...

I agree that Rick outing Donna was an unfortunate mistake. However, he didn't properly read the ticket and then spouted off information as if it was fact. That bothers me.

Anonymous said...

All of you who are criticizing Donna C., get off your high horses! So what if she decided to order. It's her perogative. It doesn't change the fact that PTI's customer service sucks and PTI loves to blame everyone and anyone but themselves for their own problems.

Donna C. said...

I honestly don't see how I am to blame for any of this.

Donna C. said...

Well, I just got an email explaining to me that I should have kept my mouth shut. I have no business putting down a lovely company. I have no business airing MY (?) dirty laundry on a public forum when it hurts a company. This makes me un-christian.

And BTW, I have never said I would never order again. The person saying that is making up stories.

Anonymous said...

From Chris:

"Would I rather spend zero with them? Sure. But I'm human, just like the rest of you. There are some things that I want badly enough to make a small purchase. Exactly my feelings, too. If I want to order, I know I'm taking some chances on mistakes or delivery times, but I also will be ordering hundreds of dollars less than I did in the past. I've been outspoken against PTI but that's my personal business if I want to take a chance. It's each person's own choice and I don't think I've EVER heard Donna C. say that she'd never buy from them again.

Anonymous said...

When did "speaking with your wallet" equate sealing it shut? Just because someone has a beef with PTI doesn't mean they cannot buy a single thing from them. Sure, in an ideal world, we'd spend hours surfing the net finding alternative sources/vendors, but some people don't have that luxury. [Leave that to the hoarders like me who haven't even used some stamp sets purchased 4 monts ago.]

I want to go cold turky on PTI. Haven't ordered since April. Partly easy b/c I think everything released since there is blah. Who knows what's around the corner? But I can tell you I've been looking everywhere else for ideas and old/new products from other vendors.

Chris Simon said...

Donna, was the email from another customer, or from someone at PTI? I'm assuming a customer, in which case, I'd just hit delete and go on with my life. Some folks have too much time on their hands.

Anonymous said...

Donna the only reason people are picking on you is because you have the nerve to post in your own name. That's the way it is here - if you give yourself an identity, people someone think it's okay to bash you. I don't get it - you'd think it'd be the opposite.

Who did you get that email from???

Donna C. said...

It was from a yahoo address and the name on it was Stamper Camper.

Donna C. said...

Sorry, that was hot mail.

Anonymous said...

@ 7:22 what part of the fact that PTI owes Donna $3.00 do you not understand? That is not something she made up. PTI owes it and Donna has every right to expect her refund.

Anonymous said...

Oh boy, would I LOVE to write a reply to that email!!!!

Someone standing up for PTI!?! has the nerve to say YOU'RE un-Christian?? And since when in America is it shameful to air A COMPANY'S dirty laundry in public??? It's a public service!!! And for the record - it's PTI's "dirty laundry" not yours. Hang in there Donna!

Donna C. said...

I have not used my name for awhile for this very reason. When Cheryl McNutti (or whatever her name is) took me on, from that point I did not use my name. I work full time, so if you think I spend my days here stirring things up, you are SO wrong. Some days I don't even have time to turn the computer on.

Anonymous said...

"stamper camper"

How much you want to bet their are going to participate in SAF?? LOL!

Go sew some badges, honey.

Anonymous said...

Donna - you need to post the email and email addresses of everyone who sends you a shitty email! Let's see how well karma treats them!

Anonymous said...

Rick, thank you for the hover feature. It means that I don't have to open stupid threads like "when things get out of hand..." or "what do you think about..." or any other stupid posts that I have absolutely no interest in.

Chris Simon said...

8:24, I wouldn't "out" anyone here, personally, whether another smacker or not. I've received more than one email from forum members about my participation here. I could name them, but I will not. I respect the wishes of anyone wanting to be anonymous here, whether I agree with what they have to say or not.

Donna C. said...

I assume that a person with enough emotional problems to send an email like that does not need any bullying on top of whatever they are going through. Obviously, this person is not in a good place.

Anonymous said...

Donna, was the email in reference to something that you posted here or on SCS? It wouldn't have been on the PTI forum or it would have been pruned.

Anonymous said...

Donna C., I don't blame you one bit for choosing to post anonymously after Cheryl Knutti went crazy on the smack board. I would have done the same thing.

I still can't get over how she had the nerve to criticize and accuse others of 'destroying personal relationships' (I believe that's the phrase she used) and then coming back to give a HALF-ASS apology (if you can even call it that) after someone called her out for making assumptions and generalizations about everyone who posts under their own name on this board.

Donna C. said...

It had to have been about what was going on here last night. I do not post on SCS and have not visited there in years. I found the "mean girls" there to be too much negativity. There is nothing I have posted on PTI Forum that refers to any of this. Therefore, it is someone who reads here.

I work with criminals and sometimes I think they have better hearts than many adult women.

I want to laugh that statement but, shoot, it's probably true.

Ha ha!! "Stamper Camper" no doubt she/he is into the SAF this year I guess! To each his/her own....

I commented earlier about Rick innocently calling out Donna, but I do have to say that from his posts he just doesn't seem to "get it." I don't care where the problem lies in the website, or whatever technical problems there are, you don't put the customer in the middle of it for a value of $3. You take care of the customer and then you take care of your own housekeeping. Obviously there are problems at PTI but they can't keep whining and moaning about their poor state of affairs and leave the customers hanging. It's just not right.

I completely believe the "insider" last night who commented that a DT member vouches for the PTI purposeful attitude of arrogance and refusing to be "bullied" by customers. As long as they maintain that adversarial attitude with their customers, they will never be a great company. They will ALWAYS be mediocre at best. You just cannot treat your customers this way.

The people at PTI need to learn to suck it up and put on their 'game face.' Say what you want behind closed doors but improve your attitude.

Anonymous said...

This is 6:48.

It is Donna's, and everyone else's choice, to order. i certainly don't care if you do or not. But to be SO vocal about PTI's problems, she orders anyway and surprise surprise, there are issues. And then she bitches about them. Really? This is a surprise to you?

It's like some of you keep going into the ring to get beat up then bitch about it.

Did PTI handle the situation poorly? Of course they did. Was Rick an ass about it? Of course he was. That's how they do business. But you KNOW this. So really stop complaining about shit you know will probably happen.

Anonymous said...

"Say what you want behind closed doors but improve your attitude."

Nichole has tried so hard to do this. She posts sweet apologies that must make her cringe but it is impossible for her true attitude not to come out every once in a while. The way that she called Ted disrespectful is just the latest example of this.

When someone shows you who they are, believe them. LOL! I am referring to PTI and their ability to change!

Anonymous said...

Thank you Rick for the hover feature!
Posts like Erin's and Leigh's drive me batty. I sincerely thought that Erin might be referring to Papertrey's customer service issues when she said "when things get out of hand.............". Why do people do this?! I know that it is intentional. Do they think (know) that nobody will read their stupid posts unless they make it vague??

Anonymous said...

This.

6:48, I can see where you are coming from. Caveat emptor. Let the buyer beware. But I disagreee with your statement: "It's like some of you keep going into the ring to get beat up then bitch about it." No one here is purchasing from PTI because they want their order screwed up. They purchase from PTI because they like the product. . . and they hope that customer service has improved since they last got burned.

Chris Simon said...

Sorry, 8:52, but I have to disagree with you. If we (people willing to speak up about problems at PTI) are not supposed to complain when there is a problem, how in the world will people know? It's not as if anyone is allowed to complain openly on the forum any more. I thought that was precisely one of our reasons for being here - to point out the problems when they happen. Yeah, we do expect that problems could happen if we order, but it doesn't mean that we "deserved it" in some way, and it definitely doesn't mean that any of us should keep quiet if something goes wrong. I'm happy that Donna is making it known how her problem is being (mis-)handled.

Anonymous said...

I hate the shipping and I hate the customer service. I haven't ordered since last year. If there is something that I really wanted I would go out of my way to find an alternative. However, it is because I know that there is a chance that there will be a problem and I just don't have the energy to fight with PTI.
If I did decide to order and something went wrong, you can bet that I would tell anybody that would listen though.

Anonymous said...

From the forum, Kristy was worried about receiving 2 release night orders.
Thank you everyone! I did receive an email from custormer service today and they were able to stop shipment of one order. They said they usually can't stop an order but this one hadn't gone out yet, so I am very happy! :D
...................................

Isn't it funny that although both orders were already marked "shipped", they hadn't actually left the warehouse yet?

I am so happy that "T" did not make it to the next round of gallery idol.

Anonymous said...

9:22, that posting cracked me up, too. It's laughable that people's packages sit around there for so dang long but usually they say they can't change an order because, you know, it's been "shipped." (that was their story for years)

So this woman is so happy her order got fixed but it got fixed because they don't get things out in a timely manner.

Everything at PTI has a backstory of stupid.

Anonymous said...

I wouldn't even sweat the people (person) bashing Donna C. They are probably all the same bitter person and the only one I can think of who is self righteous enough to judge a person's Christianity from on high is Cheryl NUT CASE. And I find her easy to ignore. Both here AND on the forum.

And 8:52 said customers keep going into the ring to get beat up. Not true...they go into the ring to buy a product. The beating they get is an exciting by-product. And the bitching is a by-product of the first by-product. Oh, I see someone already mentioned this same thing. 9:05 and I are on the same wavelength.

Someone else referred to NH calling Ted disrespectful. All he was doing was stating the obvious. When is speaking truth considered disrespectful? Sometimes Ted is annoying but he's NEVER been disrespectful. I see people crying "disrespected!" alot when they just don't like someone else's opinion. It bugs me.

Anonymous said...

^^^ BTW, my last paragraph was not directed AT 8:54. I totally agree with her. But it was her comment that inspired my last paragraph.

Anonymous said...

^^^ which was more a rant on the incorrect impression by NH of what disrespectful actually means.

Anonymous said...

There is a new post up.

@8:13 Oh I get it. It's OK for Donna to order but someone here slammed Chris S. for ordering. Hmmmmm.
