pti obsessed, eh?

Anonymous said...

Hey look, it's our Canadian unicorn again! How are you doing this fine day, unicorn?

Anonymous said...

Since our unicorn seems to get the first post, maybe they have some sort of program set up to comment as soon as a new post is created? Unless they hang around all.day.long and wait for new posts? And the uni says WE are obsessed!

Anonymous said...

We've already given the uni more attention than she deserves.

Do you think several companies are wooing Lisa? She mentions a few different stamp companies in her latest several blog posts.

Lisa seems like a sweet woman. Wherever she goes, I'm sure she'll do fine.

Anonymous said...

Who care what companies are wooing Lisa or any other designer for that matter.

Anonymous said...

The Canadian who posts first is not PTI obsessed, she is obsessed with THIS blog, lol.

Anonymous said...

^^^ for conversation

Anonymous said...

6:52 - Speculation is she is being wooed by Gina K, Paper Smooches and MFT. I think it's MFT - maybe it's someone else?

Anonymous said...

I wonder when the forum topic " list by designer" will be locked?
I love it though!

================

This post has been deleted! Probably because someone mentioned Ricks post about the "new system". PTI is so predictable!

Anonymous said...

Anyone seen Rick's head rolling around on the floor???

Anonymous said...

Was it really deleted !? Damn !

Well, the news is already out there on SCS. They can't delete that!

Anonymous said...

Just found a new stamp company to love!! It is called Wilson Designs---great stuff.

Anonymous said...

I like the Lacey Lovelies set, but that was about it.

I'm not much for the cartoony paper smooches/denami style.

However, if she hand draws all the images, props to her! Any fool can buy an image. I think drawing your own takes at least some degree of talent.

Prices seem good and shipping is $4....that seems fair. But what size are the sets? I don't see anywhere that she has it posted on the website.

Speaking of the website, in one place it says free shipping after $40 and in another place is says free shipping after $35. Maybe she can fix that little blip.

I wish luck to any new store.

Anonymous said...

Oh, and maybe the "blog" link on the Wilson Designs website should take you to the actual blog instead of a new page with a link to the blogspot blog.

HTH

Anonymous said...

Definitely agree on the blog link for Wilson Designs. Most of that isn't my style either, but I do like the Let's Rock set.

Anonymous said...

The new Wilson sets coming out Friday night are to die for. I just love what I have seen so far.

Anonymous said...

Here's another company to check out. I'm not sure what the shipping prices are. I've never ordered anything on line, but I have purchased things at conventions. The quality is excellent!

Check it out.

Does anyone know how the Paper White ink from Impress/ Fresh Ink is?

Anonymous said...

I love seeing new stamp companies pop up but Wilson Designs isn't my style. Neither is Paper Smooches. I just don't like that squiggly child like drawing. My kid can draw like that. I cannot understand the popularity of those images.

I think LisaJ would be a perfect fit with MFT!! But I sure would love to see another former PTI DT joining Gina.

Anonymous said...

Gaaaaaaaaaah! I'm going to have to buy this set....my husband and I listen to Bob Marley all the time and those birds are great!

https://darciesllc.3dcartstores.com/POL66.html

Thanks for the Darcie link, 8:33!

Anonymous said...

Love Darcie's!!! Recommend!! great quality, too.

I think a lot of digital images loook like kids drew them and some of SU's used to - not sure if they do now.

Paper smooches are professional cute to me. It's harder to draw good cartoon images with a consistent style than you may think.

Anonymous said...

I was happy to see JJ Bolton announce that she is part of the Avery Elle design team. I just discovered her a few weeks ago and I love what she does with PTI stamps but wished that she was showcasing another company instead.

Anonymous said...

I read Susan's thoughts on PTI at the time and reread it today. I haven't ordered in month's because I'm so unhappy with how they do business but I *may* order again at some point. Not sure yet.

Other than the certainty of ordering from them, I agree with every single thing she said and she said it well. They have overcomplicated things beyond their abilities to manage it. I don't know if they can fix that with their attitude.

Anonymous said...

You're welcome for the Darcie link! I have been very impressed at conventions I've gone to. Their booth is always hard to get to because so many people are checking it out. Their paper is really nice!

Anonymous said...

Always interested in seeing something new so thanks for the wilson designs link. but... so totally forgettable. The samples on the blog are nice cards but the images are just blah. I don't get the set with a bicycle, a tree, a typewriter and a cassette tape. Talk about mixing a lot of unrelated things together! (part of the gina k discussion yesterday). Just shows that even though everyone and her sister is opening a stamp company these days - just because they can, doesn't mean they should.

Anonymous said...

I saw Darcie's at a convention too and the booth was AH-MAZING!!! Darcie was wonderful herself, and the samples!! Oh my goodness - beauties!! This is the next company on my list of planned stamp addiction ;).

Anonymous said...

Urgh. If anyone mentions Darcie's again....

Doesn't that single poster have SOMEWHERE ELSE they should be right about now??

Anonymous said...

Those are not all one poster.

And I thought people here were appreciating hearing about other companies that they may like to 'throw their $ at.'

I got a little sick of Gina this, Gina that, but I didn't have to jump in and be a downer about it.

Skip those comments if you don't like 'em.

Anonymous said...

now the gina/pti combo talk has hit the scs pti thread!

I completely get the allure of this but you guys have to remember that some people do love gina designs and maybe gina also wants to do what's close to her heart - not just be a copycat. Of course, if former pti stamp designers are on board, she can still stay true to her own look AND have a pti look option.

Anonymous said...

What makes you think they will have a PTI look? I sure hope they don't, I want the 2 companies to stay separate! I hope that Gina lets them have their own style!

Anonymous said...

my comment about a pti "look" was referring to the massive number of comments in recent posts here with a hopeful tone about the additions to Gina's team carrying over some of the pti style that most pti fans like so much. the majority of comments here regarding gina k mention that the people do not like the style there and wish her offerings were more like the pti style. the same sentiments are being echoed on scs.

personally I couldn't care less. but just thought you must have missed most of the conversation about it.

Anonymous said...

The designers naturally have their own style. Their style is in part what made Papertrey what it is.

Anonymous said...

You know, PLUS:

Rereading your post and question just really annoyed me:

"What makes you think they will have a PTI look? I sure hope they don't, I want the 2 companies to stay separate! I hope that Gina lets them have their own style!"

I did NOT say I think they will have a "pti look." And I even said that I thought Gina would want to maintain the style she's had for years. I don't care if they merge or both go under for god's sake.

People like you give the smack blog a bad name. You totally twisted everything I said.

Reading comprehension is apparently highly underrated among some readers of this blog.

Anonymous said...

Yes,the darcie's comments are not just from one person.

Don't anyone mind grumpy 9:21...she's just got her bitchy panties in a twist.

Anonymous said...

I think any new stamp company needs to have a stellar DT that can do amazing things with the product. I hate Denami stamps but some of the girls on that team can really make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

Anonymous said...

I also do not like DeNami but I like some of their designers.

Anonymous said...

Apparently 10:22 has her panties in a twist too, holy crap lady, settle down. I'm guessing 9:56 was referring to this portion of your statement: " have a pti look option"
I don't think s/he twisted this wrong but I do think smackers like you give this blog a bad name

Anonymous said...

10:22 sounds reasonable to me. I totally got what she was saying.

Having PTI designers will lend a different style to Gina's offerings while Gina and the current crew will continue to design what they've become known for.

No reason for 9:56 to get all weird and put words in her mouth or 11:05 to tell her to chill.

I'd get aggravated, too, if people were misconstruing my words.

furthermore, it sounds super lame to say "I hope Gina lets them have their own style." What owner can change a person's style even if they tried???

If Gina didn't want the style those ex-PTI chicks are peddaling, then she wouldn't have invited them to join her team.

Anonymous said...

Wilson Designs...Blech!

Anonymous said...

^^^ agreed

Anonymous said...

I'm actually liking some of Wilson Designs, Denami, not so much

Anonymous said...

WTF posted something from the smack blog (Rick's comment about new system) on the PTI forum and why? Other than stirring the shit, what purpose did that serve? I get that PTI needs to fix their shit. I get that they probably never will. I get the smacking. I don't get the trying to stir the shit and cause problems.

Anonymous said...

I hadn't really thought about it but I see what you're saying. It really served no purpose to call out Rick like that.

Well that is the problem with isolating a small portion of a complete thought and statement. It loses all the intended meaning.

I think wanting to be able to take the time to make a cohesive logical statement and then having it distorted by someone with poor comprehension is a completely worthy of complaint and making an effort to clarify my point.

Just because it's a smack blog it doesn't mean we can't take the time to read each other's thoughts and make an attempt to understand what people are trying to say. I'm sure if someone took random groups of words from your own statements and commenting as if that were the entirety of your thought that you would be annoyed by it too.

And thank you 11:15.

====================
I posted Rick's comments on the PTI forum because someone brought up their response from "customer service" saying they would be implementing changes in the near future.

Since the thread was deleted, I can't be 100% sure on the wording but that was the gist I recall.

It was not to stir shit on the PTI forum, it was to corroborate someone elses post.

Didn't know that wasn't allowed.

Anonymous said...

Personally I think the PTI forum needs the shit stirred a little bit now and then.

I really like Rick but I don't see why what he says here should be isolated here. A lot of people are pretty annoyed that he posted here and supposedly "represents" PTI. He's a big boy - he posted here, he can handle the repercussions.

Anonymous said...

bahahaha, that's hilarious. Someone posted Rick's comments in the forum and then he deletes them quick fast & in a hurry?

Good save, Rick! I didn't see the comment but man, you are on it!

Anonymous said...

what thread was it posted to on the pti forum?

I know someone said the one about stamps sets by designers or something like that was deleted but it's interesting the one by ashjoy about past designers is still there. for now.

Anonymous said...

Yep. That Rick. He's a "big boy" and the forum cleaner too, LOL!

I'm 12:26 and I should have said I don't *dislike* Rick. I think he did some good here and his intentions were good but he got way too caught up in the smack blog.

Anonymous said...

I don't think I understand how PTI's DT and stamp designer info works. I'm looking for enlightenment so please don't pick on me.

There's a thread on the forum about whether Michelle Wooderson will still be designing stamp sets.

On Nichole's blog, there's a heading in the sidebar for "stamp designers" and MW's name isn't there. Was it there before?

I've noticed that other stamp designers for pti have had lists in their blog sidebars of the stamp sets they've designed. Did MW used to have that on hers??

If she is credited with designing stamp sets, you'd think she got some form of payment for them right? It could have been a flat fee, but if she gets royalties, wouldn't she want to promote those on her sidebar even if she has left PTI?

I find the (pardon the pun!) mish-mash of dt/designers/conceptualizers with PTI to be very confusing.

I also never went ga-ga over "designers" as in DT. Never understood why people get fawned over for making cards. But I know I'm in the minority so consider me self-hand-slapped ;)

Anonymous said...

I love Darcie's designs but I think the clear stamp quality sucks.

Anonymous said...

Someone should start a facebook group or page for "former PTI dt - where are they now?!" :) We could all follow them easily and they could promote their current positions.

I also think it would irritate NH & CO., so that would be half the fun ;)

Anonymous said...

^^^ you love spreading the hate don't you?

Anonymous said...

We'll have to agree to disagree on the quality of Darcie's. I think they are excellent!

Anonymous said...

Oh come on - that's not hate! jeesh - talk about panties in a bunch already.

Yeah, I think it's fun to make a little bit of a dig on PTI. Frankly they really irritate me. Get us as customers and then eff up your shop and treat your customers like dirt.

And you know there are a bunch of people talking all over the internet about where former dt and designers are going now. It actually makes a lot of sense -- people had been with the for YEARS and are moving on. Their stamp designing IDENTITY is with PTI - I was having a little fun saying I'd like to get under NH's skin, but really, it only makes sense.

Maybe she should've tried harder to keep her talent. But okay - go ahead and blame me.

Anonymous said...

12:24, where was the thread - what was it called? And was the thread deleted or just your comment??

Anonymous said...

Michelle Wooderson didn't ever design stamps by herself like some of the other stamp designers but she collaborated with Nichole. She drew the sketches and Nichole turned them into stamps.

I don't think that she was ever listed as a stamp designer like some of the others but Nichole removes the names from her blog as soon as they leave. You will notice that Lisa's name is no longer there.

Anonymous said...

The thread on the forum was up for a good day before it was deleted. It's also possible that it was deleted by Nicole, not Rick.

Anonymous said...

The whole thread was deleted.

Anonymous said...

Thanks 13:04 on the info about MW. I wonder if 'collaborating' yielded her nothing tangible. Just the "honor" of sketching for NH.

Announcing! The PTI Forum! It's where it's at!!

But maybe just for a day or so.

Anonymous said...

So does anyone buy or follow Hero Arts anymore or are they so last decade?

I personally have not kept up with any of the new stamps for about 5 years or so. Same with Stampin Up.

Anonymous said...

14:17 > Ironically I JUST took them off my blog reader about 20 minutes ago. Kinda over them...

Anonymous said...

I was getting caught up in Hero Arts designs with Susan Raihala's blog Simplicity - she used a lot of HA. And then I found a "local" store (1-1/2 hr. away) was carrying them. I had the feeling the were the next big thing - I like the indexed cling. But you know there are only so many companies I can really get into. I have to put the brakes on somewhere. And I also have to be able to wrap my head around their line.

I think one reason I got into PTI was that it was at the start - I never felt overwhelmed because I shopped there from the beginning. Same with Waltzingmouse. It's really hard for me to try to get "into" a company with a gazillion designs to weed through... all the more reason I don't see new people loving pti. How would you even begin with that bloody website?!

Anonymous said...

I love Hero Arts stamps, but boy do they need some new blood on that DT....

Anonymous said...

Karma's the best. I love that the people who built the PTI website did a shitty job. Guess that's what they get for treating their customers like shit!

Fork over some fucking money to get a decent website built!

Or maybe it's just that assholes attract assholes! hahahahahaha!

Anonymous said...

^^^^That and get a few of the asshole lickers to test it out for you before you roll it out to the public!

I bet they will be the prizes for the SAF contest, etc.

Anonymous said...

I agree about Hero Arts needing some new blood on the dt.

Anonymous said...

Does anyone else have trouble seeing Gina's blog in Google Reader? I can see the title and ad at the bottom but no text or images. I subscribe to hundreds of blogs and that is the only one like that.

Anonymous said...

Thanks to whoever mentioned the Kitchen Sink 40% sale. I have always wanted to try their stamps, so it seemed like the perfect time.

Anonymous said...

Wow. Becky will already have sneak peeks of her first GinaK set tomorrow. That was fast! Yay!

Anonymous said...

I have bought 3 Hero Arts sets in the last 2 weeks. I love them!

Anonymous said...

To the poster that asked about the quality of the Fresh Ink Paper White Ink, it's not that good. Certainly not compared to the quality of the PTI Fresh Snow ink. I can tell you, though, that if you want an even better quality white ink than the PTI Fresh Snow ink, try Memories/Hero Arts Unicorn pigment ink. It is AMAZING!! Great coverage, perfect impression every single time. Simon Says Stamps carries it if you're looking for an online source.

Because Michelle W. collaborated with NH, she got a fractional royalty - like so miniscule that it's not even worth listing it on her blog to promote sales. At least 98% of the stamp price on the sets that Mish and Michelle Phillips collaborated on goes into the pockets of the three stooges. Their greed knows no boundaries - they'd steal the shirts off their grandmothers' backs if it could profit them.

Lisa will be announcing where she's taking her art soon, and it's not Gina K. I think you'll go "wild" over her upcoming release.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Becky Oehlers' new Gina K set - I'm a huge fan of anything with hexagons, and the sneaks make it look like her upcoming set has a fun twist to it.

Anonymous said...

Looks why we were right about those dt's who recently left when we thought a couple of months ago that their cards were getting really blah. They WERE holding back.

Anonymous said...

no one who draws designs for someone else makes much $. that's why so many people open their own stamp stores.

Anonymous said...

Therein lies my conundrum. I have wanted to have my own line of stamps for so long, and I know I want to have creative control over my art and reap the financial rewards of it, but I know I would hate the "running a business" part of it and would struggle at it. *sigh*

Anonymous said...

So Lisa will either be with Paper Smooches (isn't Kim the only designer there?) or MFT. I am purely speculating based on her latest product use.

Anonymous said...

I have a feeling it will be MFT, but that's all it is. Not based on any inside info or anything; just a gut feeling. Guess we'll see soon huh!

Anonymous said...

Can't wait to see what Becky does with tomorrow's Gina peek!

Anonymous said...

There are pros and cons both ways, of course, 16:58. I know.

The running a business part of it will have hidden financial and lifestyle/time choices that you probably have not even considered. So if you're already flinching at that, it's probably not for you. But research it! There are so many ways to create your own business - look at examples and talk to people already in business. Some won't help but others will be wonderful.

If you are confident in your art and really want to get your designs out there, you have options.

As much as I LOVE stamps, digital images have their place and although there are a lot of digi shops out there, a lot of them are amateurish - there's room for good art there. It's low risk, low investment and there's room for new artists! It's also a good testing ground for your art.

Something to consider is whether you have contacts in the business that can give you exposure, too.

And if you feel your art would be a good fit in one or several existing shops, it doesn't hurt to approach owners. The contractual arrangements can vary widely so don't make assumptions. Some will pay a flat fee, some a royalty, and some may give you your choice. In some cases you can retain ownership of your art, some you'd give it up. Some will work with you and you'll find you maintain your vision, others will be less open and want to control your line more. I could go on but you probably get the point :) .

Whatever you decide - remember, nothing has to be permanent. If you get into a situation that doesn't feel right to you or just isn't working, don't hesitate to move on and find your niche. And if you consider jumping in either with someone else or on your own - take your time. Don't rush into anything, do your research and ask around. MOST of the people in this business are very generous with their advice and suggestions.

Go with your gut and I hope you find a situation that works for you!

thanks Nancy

Lucy Abrams seems to be using HA exclusively. Love her cards.

The card stock at MFT is the Pop-Tone card stock. I really do like it. The felt is high quality wool felt. It's not quite as stiff, I guess, as PTI's. And MFT now has matching grosgrain ribbon as well.

Anonymous said...

The inks that match the poptone card stock are average quality dye inks. Nothing super-OMG-fantabulous about them, some blotchiness on larger surface area clear stamps. Par for the course with dye inks, in my experience. But if you want matching inks for the poptone colors, they are there.

Anonymous said...

Oh one other thing about the poptone inks that IS annoying to me. The ones I have at least, the cover doesn't come all the way off. It hinges on one of the long sides. (And doesn't flip over like the SU pads.) That bothers me since I like to pick up the pad to ink my stamps.

I for one am tired of all the snotty bitchy attitude towards the customers. Maybe it's time for PTI to swallow their pride & start acting like they appreciate their customers.

PTI is a business, not my best friends. They don't get compassion for snottiness & a bitchy attitude.

Another point of view is that we live in a democracy with a free enterprise economic system. Demanding change where change is needed creates growth and improvement. I am not glad that you are content "being nice" about poor service. Consider the fact that you keep all kinds of unsavory businesses going by your passive approach. Tough love doesn't equal hate.

"We all mess up. PTI messes up but do we have to keep beating up on them over and over and over?"

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
W aren't smacking the same issue over and over. There are newer, and dumber, issues with every release. Less like beating a dead horse and more like whack-a-mole. If PTI wants the smack blog to go away, they should stop feeding it.

Notice how the hand slappers escalate when engaged? Classic!

I'm with 5:21. I know I shouldn't bother but here it goes.

3:48/5:13/6:02/6:43

First of all, when you accuse me of having a dirty house and neglected kids and not doing my job, you lose ALL credibility if, in the very next breath, you try and preach.

Second of all, where is your compassion for those who have been wronged by PTI? We are also YOUR NEIGHBOR.

Third and finally, the bible has much to say about businesses/bosses/leaders screwing over their customers/employees/people. I truly hope that you are spending as much effort forwarding these quaint little rebukes to PTI as you are doing to us here.

Why does law enforcement get involved with stampers having trouble with each other via computer? Seriously, does anyone really want them doing this instead of going after rapists and drug dealers. Does it not seem really strange?

the havoc wrecked by this blog is amazing.

Actually, wrecking havoc is my least favorite thing to do.

Go away CK Nut Job! Nobody here give a shit about you or your opinions!

I read Cindy C's post last night. I also was surprised she thought she could get away with that (though I have to admit I just skimmed part of it as I wasn't interested in die storage). Other people post how they store their dies...cd holder from Target, MS from Staples, etc. What is the difference?

6-3 SC upholds Healthcare Reform

I know, I know. It doesn't belong here but I am crying with tears of happiness. My chronically ill child will soon have healthcare insurance.

Anonymous said...

What is it that Cindy is selling?

Anonymous said...

@6:59 I have no reason to rebuke PTI. I have always had good customer service. I believe a few have had problems but MANY have jumped on that bandwagon to make it look like there are more problems than really exist.

Anonymous said...

Actually, after reading the reports and seeing that it wasn't just cyber bullying, but hacking into the girls accounts and emails. Yeah, that's criminal. Do you know how much information you can get from a person by hacking into their accounts? Online banking, shopping, bills, etc. You simply need to have them email password.

So in that case yeah, law enforcement should have been involved. Not to mention, the girl is obviously craaazy, no telling what she could escalate to.

Anonymous said...

7:20, you are doing better than me....at least you know how to wreck havoc. I don't even know how that is done. Is it like wrecking a car?

LOL

Anonymous said...

@ 7:32 yeah but what quality of healthcare will it be.

Who cares that someone outted Rick on the forum? He should of Never come here and posted what he did. He deserves everything he gets! I hope NH gets a hold of him.

I wonder if we will see him around again?

Do you really actually believe that it has only been a handful of customers? Have you been following any of this?

@7:32 No big difference from Ashley's storage. Where Ashley uses magnets, CC uses vinyl envelopes. I'm actually considering using something like that since I'm in the middle of totally revamping my storage system (for pretty much everything). But I can assure you from what I've seen of her online, I would never do business with her. Ever.

@7:33 - CC mentioned that she was going to be selling packages of the various sizes of the vinyl envelopes she uses for die storage. Or something like that, I glossed over all the specific details.

Anonymous said...

@7:40 & 7:41

6:59 is obviously one that believes that PTI is all sweetness & light and every customer's BFF. I'd let it go before you get a headache from that brick wall.

I still don't understand why Nichole couldn't put up a 2 sentence congratulations to Erin on her blog.

Anonymous said...

maybe she talked to her in person.

Anonymous said...

because she can't earn any revenue by doing that. remember, she only thinks in "how can this profit me?"

Anonymous said...

Nichole probably did talk to Erin in person however she should also be thinking about the optics- especially when her reputation is already so sullied.

Anonymous said...

By not congratulating Erin publicly she is further adding weight to the fact that so many people think that it is only all about her.

Anonymous said...

Well she's never acknowledged her DT's personal stuff on the blog-Erin had her daughter recently and nada
But what bothered me more was when she didn't say anything about Janelles passing.
Janelle was a big forum member, blogged about PTI constantly and was Nichole's inspiration for her 30th birthday thank you thing. She should have made a
Mention about it

"...I believe a few have had problems but MANY have jumped on that bandwagon to make it look like there are more problems than really exist...."

You are seriously disillusioned. Even w/o listening to a single customer, it is obvious that the problems are many. PTI deleted their own CS emails because it was too many for them to handle. How can that alone NOT be a problem??

Anonymous said...

Becky's is ok. Tropical is awful!!!
I'm still rooting for them. Here's hoping the designs get better!

Anonymous said...

I think Becky's set is nice, but I also am not a fan of headless people, and I'm not currently at the stage of life where I need many wedding cards, so I'll pass. I do like the clean style of the set.

Anonymous said...

i guess some people just will have to get burned themselves, as others who have posted here have found out. Can't say they weren't warned!

"...I believe a few have had problems..."
---------------------
I'm so amazed by your bizarre stretch of the truth that I have to add these footnotes to your comment above:

*a few didn't get their anniversary sets until a YEAR later.
*a few still haven't gotten their anniv sets
*a few have been affected by the web designers that Rick himself called, "fuctards".
*a few ex-DT members were treated poorly
*a few were asked to send a SASE to get correct goods
*a few were owed money they couldn't get refunded
*a few couldn't get their packages shipped in a timely manner
*a few got nasty emails from one, or more, owners
*a few bought poor quality inks
*a few got banned from the forum
*a few quit shopping altogether
...
"a few" sure does add up.

Those "fuctards" at PTI better restock the $5 happy hexagon set before Shit-A-Faire or they are the stupidest people on the planet!

First of all, who is this person anyway? never heard of her and her work is mediocre at best.

Second, she was fired from 3 teams in the last couple months with no notification or email? Just locked out of the DT forums? She needs to look in the mirror on that one.

And Third, what does any of this have to do with the smack blog? She doesn't mention smack blogs anywhere and openly blames her lack of participation due to her chemo treatments as a reason for being dropped from teams.

3:48, go try to stir up shit somewhere else!

10:38, couldn't have said it better.

11:05, I agree.

Although I think it is rude to shut someone out of a DT forum with no explanation. Granted, I don't know the whole story, but if that is the way it went down, RUDE.

And I am very sorry the lady is sick and struggling with cancer.

But I still don't know what it has to do with this blog.

And to the unicorn poster/ck nut job: I DO feel proud of myself today. I got a lot of work done and I make super good money doing it. My child is happy and loves me. She is 3 and says she wants to marry mommy. AND my house does have dust in the corners but for the most part is is clean and tidy. thank you very much for being so concerned about my personal life. *mwah!*

I don't think Becky O's wedding set are of headless people, they are CLOTHES. Not saying I like it, but then again, I didn't like Becky's PTI sets either.
Sorry Gina, still not a convert.

Question for the blog owner: do you really say Y'ALLS in everyday conversation?

Anonymous said...

I think Becky's wedding set is cute. And those are not headless people in it; they are just the outfits without people in them. Maybe you'll think that's even creepier than people with no heads but I like them. I have made projects in the past using Jolee's stickers of the wedding dress and tuxedo, with no people in them, and I think it is a classic design element for wedding-themed projects.

"it's the same few"
---------------
So, let's recap. In your delusional mind the web designer, the ex-DT members, and the customers are all the same (few) people?

You are much too far gone to be reasoned with.

Anonymous said...

So, did we figure out if Dave is on vacation or if he left? Is Julie still answering customer service issues?

If so, that is the dumbest thing ever.

Anonymous said...

Where did Jenn E go? Her blog hasn't been updated since October 2011. Maybe she's in the fetal position eating her hair????

Anonymous said...

LOL about Jenn eating her hair. But I feel bad for her. Yes, she sucked as a cs rep but then again the three owners must have been hell to work for and she was caught in the middle of their inability to run a business properly. If her experience working for PTI sucked the joy out of crafting and ruined it for her then I feel very sad for her indeed. I wonder if she and Nichole are still BFF's or if that is another good relationship killed by a bad work environment.

If Dave was not a fictitious character to begin with, then he probably got one taste of what the job entailed and then high-tailed it outta there. I doubt we'll ever hear anything about him again.

Anonymous said...

Jenn E took a job in a non-paper-crafting industry, if I remember correctly.

Anonymous said...

About Gina K: Becky's set is really cute and if I needed a wedding set I would get it. I pretty much find things in my Valentine's sets that work for wedding cards. The camper set it adorable, but I already bought the Market Street one and I love it. I already have enough backgrounds. Really I like them all, but they are too late for my radar.

Anonymous said...

I like Becky's style a lot. I would definitely considern the set if I needed a wedding set.

Anonymous said...

About Becky's wedding set: The bodice of the dress is way too small, all out of proportion. The 'waistline', even if it is an Empire waist, needs to be lower. As it is, it looks funny and spoils the chance to include a flower or other decoration at the waist.

Anonymous said...

Darn, there are stamps that I would like to buy from the for sale board but the seller only accepts PTI gift certificates as payments. I refuse to give PTI any of my real money.

To the poster looking for some white ink:

The best white ink I have seen is Colorbox Frost White. A stamping friend of mine has it and it has great coverage and you can get it at Michael's with a coupon. I always use it when I go to her place to stamp - haven't picked up an ink pad for myself yet but it's on my list.

Thank you anon 17:51. I appreciate you posting the link for me.
Unfortunately, I can't seem to open it.

Anonymous said...

I like Becky's set. I don't have a need for a wedding set, so I won't be buying it, but I think it's cute. I like how disproportionate the bodice is to the skirt of dress - I think it's stylized in a cute way. I really love the hexagon background, but unless I missed it, I don't understand how it works - is it just a big background stamp? Or does it stack like a lot of the PTI backgrounds that are a PITA to use? I like the plus and equals signs and the brackets as well, but I don't care for the sentiments. Sentiments are often where a set falls apart for me, though. I hate puns and goofy phrases. Just give me a "Congratulations" or "Best Wishes" or something classic like that and I'm happy. "4 keeps" not so much.

I'll be eager to see what else Becky creates for Gina K.

Anonymous said...

I can't get the stampin up link to work either. I was in the mood to browse :(

I wonder what happened to Jenn and Dave? I haven't seen ribbon share girl around either??

Anonymous said...

Well. This link to the SU catty is the same one that was posted on the 14th. (I just checked.) It won't open for me either. It's just a blank page. I guess SU wised up to the fact that it was leaked and took it down. Maybe there is a NEW link somewhere that will work, but I'm sorry I cannot help you with that.

I don't see cknutti or cloiseaux around general stamping much these days either.

OK, I just have to say this; that gaudy huge purple ring that Dawn wears on her right hand is distracting. I can't concentrate on what she is stamping. Oh, and why does she make cards with things hanging off of the edges. I can't stand that. How in the world are you supposed to fit that in an envelope.

Anonymous said...

" Oh, and why does she make cards with things hanging off of the edges. I can't stand that. How in the world are you supposed to fit that in an envelope."

This! I don't have a problem with extra layers & slightly lumpy embellishments. I'll just throw an extra stamp on there & call it good. But how do you fit the card in the envelope if the sentiment flag is sticking halfway off the card? I suppose you could use a larger envelope, but then it'll be sliding around in the envelope.

Anonymous said...

Thanks for the stampin up link! Cute!!

14:31 said Jenn E took a job in a non-paper-crafting industry, if I remember correctly.

Yeah. And Beth S. left PTI to spend more time with her family. So did Mish. We see what they're doing. I bet Jenn E took the money and ran. The door didn't hit her where the good Lord split her.

Anyone else have the SU mini in PDF they would share?

The link posted on the 14th won't work for me.
