thought it was time for new space anyway

Hey smackers...

Nice new website huh? I like that there is a typing error in the announcement message lol.

I'm trying to get some new stamps so I've been shopping around trying to find a new company and here's one I thought was pretty cute with a style almost halfway between WMS and PTI; just had to share the link and support an independent designer. Do you have any new places to shop with?

Disclaimer: I was not paid for the link and I don't know the designer. Just sharing!

  1. oh and the link you gave us -- plained up rip off of WMS. But they all rip off.

    ReplyDelete
  2. I don't think it's a rip off of WMS, get over yourself 3:43, grow up and stop being a baby.
I've seen stamp rip offs and that's not one of them. Similar concepts to both WMS and PTI, but well done. I'm definitely getting the mitten set this Friday. Adorable! Thanks Smack III !

  3. get over myself??

I don't like those new stamps. You do. buy them, use them and make something you like but I won't. i have no problem with how you spend YOUR money. Just not mine.

The shape and tone are a blatant rip off of WMS. As I said, everyone rips off, so that is no biggie to me.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Not too crazy about the stamp designs over the link shared. They do kind of remind you about other stamps out there...
    Happy shopping 4:33!

    ReplyDelete
  5. I would rather spend my money on other companies with a similar style than spend it at PTI based on principal alone.

You call it a rip off or knock off, I call it competion.

    ReplyDelete
  6. OMG! Those are such a rip off of WMS! If you can't see that, you've never looked at WMS stamps!

    ReplyDelete
  7. ^^^ oops *competition!

    ReplyDelete
  8. yup, a rip off all right. although not as vintagey and detailed.

and yes, I know vintagey is not a word. I made it up .

this is a smack blog, right?

    ReplyDelete
  9. 7:08. Are you a retard? Everyone has "ripped off" Apple products but I don't hear anyone running around saying "OMG" about it. @@

    ReplyDelete
  10. They are cute stamps, but I would never pay 11.00 shipping for one $20 set. How are they a rip off? There are plenty of companies out there who have apothecary type vintage labels and stamps that match Spellbinder dies. It is not like that is solely a WMS thing.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Which WMS set are you guys talking about? I see nothing that is very close at all.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Keep in mind that a lot of those stamps are designed to coordinate/fit Spellbinder die shapes, that's why they have the "same shape" as WMS.

    DUH!

    ReplyDelete
  13. holy crikey - is everyone on the rag today? bitchy, bitchy, bitchy.

  14. "I am just DYING over how amazing Mr. Bones looks on a banner. I never would have thought of doing that and it just looks so classy! Like something you would buy in a fancy boutique or something!"

    ^^^ from Nichole.
I bet sales are slow on this. Only 13 comments on her post too.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Well, I do love that mitten set, but no way am I paying $11 shipping for one set. I guess they're trying to give US buyers a taste of the bitter medicine they have to deal with when buying from PTI.
    Lost a customer...

    ReplyDelete
  16. "I guess they're trying to give US buyers a taste of the bitter medicine they have to deal with when buying from PTI."

Or that's how much it actually costs.

I hate trying to ship items from Canada to anywhere. Our postage in and out is crazy expensive and stupid.

    ReplyDelete
  17. The new wishlist feature is very difficult to use. I hope that it just isn't functional yet. When I try to add something I have to go back to "my account" before I can see the list or add to it. Cumbersome.

    ReplyDelete
  18. ^^ I don't have to go back to the list to add to it. I just keep browsing and add as I go along.

    ReplyDelete
  19. 10:30 what company are you talking about?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Shipping seems kind of high. WMS is based in Northern Ireland and they're shipping costs are quite reasonable, even when converted from pounds sterling. Maybe this stamp company has a lot of packaging or something.

    ReplyDelete
  21. What kind of dumb fuck orders when they KNOW the website is NOT working!!!???

" I opened a ticket with zendesk but it appears the website isn't showing my order that I paced yesterday. It's as if it doesn't exist. My payment cleared so I know they received it."

    ReplyDelete
  22. I can't wait until tomorrow when the website magically works perfectly. Should I stay up until midnight to watch it happen?

    ;)

    ReplyDelete
  23. Excuse me I am the dumb fuck. Are you white trash or something. Who says that anyways. Just because the website is being updated I'm supposed to know that it doesn't process orders properly. Maybe they should not allow orders if that's whats going to happen. Obviously you are stalking the forums DUMB FUCK!

    ReplyDelete
  24. What kind I'd idiot continues to order from PTI whether the website is working or not?

    ReplyDelete
  25. I love PTI products and will continue to order from them until i die or they go under!

    ReplyDelete
  26. 15:23 the smackers hate PTI but can't stay away. they are obsessed.

    ReplyDelete
  27. 15:23 you are a moron! Good luck trying to get your product! haha! Communicating with Julie will be loads of fun.

And I'll tell you "who says that", smart people who don't order from PTI! hahahahahahahahahaha!

    ReplyDelete
  28. There was a time each and everyone here would have placed an order to get their PTI fix regardless of what was going on.

Name calling is not necessary to get your point across

Anymore its just hatred and nothing to do with the scruples of the company

    ReplyDelete
  29. There was a time each and everyone here would have placed an order to get their PTI fix regardless of what was going on.

    ===================

Personally, I think that time has long past.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I have ordered from PTI from the beginning and I have always gotten my products. I have never been cheated. Not everyone has problems.

    ReplyDelete
  31. "Not everyone has problems" is your standard? Heaven help us.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I believe there are closet PTI buyers all over this board. They are disguised as smackers

    ReplyDelete
  33. So many people lately are handslapping smackers. "If you hate PTI so much, why do you shop there/visit the website or forum?"

I wonder the same about you.

Why do you continue to visit here if you feel that the people who post here are so unsavory and evil?

Does the handslappoing make you feel better about yourselves?

    ReplyDelete
  34. I can't imagine placing an order right now. I won't call those that do names but if you were worried about crappy customer service before, you would almost be asking for it now!

    ReplyDelete
  35. I think its funny that smackers who drop the f bomb and post the things they do use the phrase used for toddlers "handslapping"

    ReplyDelete

  36. This board stopped being about PTI ages ago.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I think its funny that smackers who drop the f bomb and post the things they do use the phrase used for toddlers "handslapping"

    ------

I'm 17:19, and my post did not include any profanity whatsoever. Neither do the majority of posts here.

I find it funny that, rather than answer my simple questions, you made an unfounded accusation about my usage of profanity, and handslapped rather than addressing the question.

You come here because it makes you feel better to lord over a bunch of women you consider to be inferior morally.

But I will ask you again: If you think this place (and its posters) are so reprehensible, WHY DO YOU CONTINUE TO VISIT?

I think the answer is simple. You get your rocks off of telling others how much better you are than them.

    That is true hilarity.

    ReplyDelete
  38. AMEN 18:33!

And 18:24, for the most part, this blog is still about PTI with a smattering of other topics. There is nothing wrong with that.

I don't shop PTI anymore, nor will I ever again. I come here to read the other "smatterings". So I am glad other topics are discussed from time to time.

    ReplyDelete
  39. 18:33 Remember all the times smackers would stir the pot on the forum. Well, I'm here to return the favor. If you have a problem with that, get over it.

    ReplyDelete
  40. 19:09 - So, you you are saying that you are no better than the "pot-stirring smackers". Got it. And I do agree with you on that point.

    ReplyDelete
  41. No 19:09 I do NOT remember "all the times" the smackers stirred the pot on the forum
I remember people with real issues voicing their concers...please remind me of specifics....

    ReplyDelete
  43. There is nothing stranger to me than that there are people who still love PTI, trust PTI, buy at PTI, and love to praise the company, and yet post here. That's just weird. Why in the world would you???

I think the company will never be what it once could have been. They may survive but there has been too much damage to their reputation.

And why would anyone want to shop someplace to get the look of WMS instead of just buying from WMS? It's a great company, so you can link all the lookalikes you want. I'll still shop at the original.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I'm with 15:39 & 15:59
I find myself buying PTI almost month after month. The budget is real tight and I cut down spending on every other store but PTI.

    ReplyDelete
  45. 19:55 - why did you end up at the PTI smack forum? Are you lost?

    ReplyDelete

  49. I post here for the following:

    1. Honesty, uncensored conversation.

    2. I think most of the ladies probably don't judge me. Not that I think those on the regular board do. But I think it's likely that if I met some of the ladies here, we'd have things in common and could lunch. I'm just saying . . . I get the feeling that some people on the PTI board don't have nor care to have black friends. I'm not calling anyone a racist, fyi.

    3. I like to use expletives on occasion.

    4. And, because I'm an adult and I don't give a shit what other people think.

    ReplyDelete

  51. Well said 19:54

    ReplyDelete
  52. Don't really care what people think either but I still love to lurk and post here.

    Laughing along with 20:17.

    ReplyDelete
  53. sorry trell, but if you think that smackers are any different than the pti forum folks, you are delusional.

they are the SAME people. yes, the fawning PTI lovers on the board are here. we make nice on the forum and come here and shoot off at PTI.

    why?

because we do. there is not reason. boredom, fun at stirring up trouble, entertainment.

and believe me. there are a few folks here who would have nothing to do with you in their real lives.

in your twisted logic, anonymous smackers are more decent than forum folks? HAHA

    ReplyDelete
  54. Looks like the website is completely down this morning. No surprise there! It is, after all, the 6th.

Why do I post here? I am no longer a forum poster. Got fed up with the uni's and their fawning support of PIT a long time ago. I'm here to smack that company when they deserve it. I'd like to see them improve the website, customer service, etc. but I no longer hold any hope for meaningful changes.

If I purchase, I know what risks I am taking. That alone is one of the biggest benefits of the smack board - honest reviews. How else would we know about Inkgate v.3.0?

I also used to enjoy the wicked senses of humor displayed by some of the smackers. Who can forget "happy colonoscopy"?

The pot stirring here or there I can live without and have no interest in participating. Honest reviews, other places to shop, ink and paper comparisons - I'm all over that!

And, Trell, I think we would be great lunch buddies.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I learned about mpress Inks here. I love those inks. So this blog is for sharing info.

And to the person who is always throwing someone out the door everytime they disagre with the comment - thats a form of censorship. So get over it a difference of opinion is how you have a discussion.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Happy Harlequins? Seriously, Nichole?

Must be the "in" thing. MFT is also releasing a harlequin die this month, though, unlike the MFT hexagon die, it does not cut individual diamonds.

Crafty Cutts already has a diamond/harlequin die. http://www.ellenhutson.com/servlet/the-15555/Crafty-Cutts-Dies%2C-Diamonds/Detail

I suppose the PTI set is good for those that are unable to line up dies on their own.

    ReplyDelete
  57. 4:09, I totally agree. I love the resources and the humor. And count me in -- I'd lunch with Trell anyday!

    ReplyDelete
  58. I like the think big favorites this time. I really wanted the sentiments from that set before, but didn't want to revisit the vagina monologues every time I looked at it. So Here I can get the sentiments, larger adn for only $5 - win for me

    ReplyDelete
  59. Someone finally gave Julie a template for a polite email. This was the response to my Zendesk ticket asking for a password reset. Other than the obvious stupidity of setting the temporary password to the word "password", well done. I've x'ed out my name and email address, but other than that, it's verbatim as I received it.

    "Hi xxxxxxxxxxxx,

Thank you for your email. I am very sorry that you are having difficulty logging in. Please use the following information to access your account.

    Username: xxxxxxxxxxx
Password: password (this is case sensitive)

You should be all set. If you continue having difficulty logging in or have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thanks, xxxxx! I hope you have a wonderful day!!

    Take care,

    ReplyDelete
  60. Yeah, I was shocked by the professional email I received from Julie as well.

As for today's sneak peaks, I really like the happy harlequin and the think big favorites...but I won't be ordering any time soon.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Wow! That was a nice email...not that we should have to mention a nice email. They should all be nice. It takes more energy to produce an unkind email. Maybe Julie is finally catching on. We can only hope.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I wonder why they just don't post the the password to reset is "password" instead of having every one send a zendesk ticket. Just seems like a lot of extra work to me.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Maybe it should be business as usual to be polite, but we know it has not been that way with PTI in the past, so I think it's important to mention. It's a small thing but hopefully indicates change.

I'm still not sure I'd return to PTI as a customer even if I keep hearing good things though ... you know, fool me once... fool me twice sort of thing.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Aw crap. Just yesterday I was noticing that hexagons, one of my favorite elements, are being done SO MUCH by everyone and their dog that I am actually getting sick of seeing them everywhere. Then I saw a project with harlequins on it and thought, Well at least THEY haven't been done to death yet.

    *sigh*

    ReplyDelete
  65. Love Lisa Johnson's new Primitive Pumpkins. I'll be ordering from MFT this month.

    ReplyDelete
  66. You people are idiots. Now that we know your password we can take your email address andlog into your account

    ReplyDelete
  67. I'm sure that they are only resetting passwords on request. To reset all of them en masse would change even those that have already successfully changed them using the automated procedure. If that had happened, we'd already know it. The hue and cry on SCS, here, and even on the forum would have already erupted. So I'm confident that the passwords are not all that simple. The main thing I would say is that if they reset your password for you, log in ASAP and change it.

    ReplyDelete
  68. 9:53, I think you might need to loosen the tinfoil on your beanie just a smidge.

    ReplyDelete
  69. How do you know my email address???

    ReplyDelete
  70. 9:53 - you know it's a federal offense to unlawfully log into to someones account, right???

    Go ahead, I dare you!

FYI...When you log into an account and your IP address attached to that unlawful login.

    ReplyDelete
  71. am i missing something. where did someone post their actual e mail address?

I wonder how long before she puts together crappy kits with her DT comped left over product and sells it for a song?

    ReplyDelete
  76. ^^^^Totally! I forsee lots of OA in her future kits!

  83. Okay. Just visited the "new and improved" website for the first time, and...

    IT SUCKS.

There were no photos for ANY of the stamp sets I looked up, it's hard to navigate, I hate that the dies aren't on the same page as the stamp set....

I could go on and on.

Suffice to say that the website is a fail on so many levels. Looks like Rick is as brilliant at building websites as Julie and Jane are at running a business.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Don't you think that they would have the pictures next to the description and name, at the very least? Ridiculous.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Rick did give a way to show the stamp sets with pictures (it was buried in one of the forum threads, I think). It's not intuitive at all, and nobody will ever figure it out on their own, but it does work.

Put "stamp set" in the search box, then over at the right hand side, use the pull-down menu under View and switch it to "flexible". Yeah, totally easy to figure out.

Why didn't I think of that? (Smacking Head)

    LOL!

Thanks for the info, 22:26 :)

I haven't bought anything in almost a year and was thisclose to breaking that hiatus because I want some of the sets they've released in the last few months.

Looks like Rick made it easy for me to keep spending my money elsewhere.

I am pretty sure that I have many sets that can duplicate just about any idea that Nichole comes up with. I still like her style!

    ReplyDelete
  98. This blog could be slowing down because a few people are trying to control the views and who is allowed to post

    ReplyDelete
  99. How does that work? Do you just mean with their handslapping?

We've simply observed that she has purchased images while using language on her blog that implies that she designed them herself. I have noticed that the "look at this super fabulous on-trend stuff I designed" language has been toned down quite a bit over the last couple of months.

  121. How do they expect to sell things sight unseen? I clicked on 4 sets this morning and there was not a picture. Tried to find the dies to go with them and no luck.

    ReplyDelete
  122. 7:03- yes! I agree. That santa is so creepy.

    ReplyDelete
  123. To me that Santa has a hypnotizing look to him. Cause of the swirly style? Don't like that stamp one bit. It's like he is trying to hypnotize the little ones to sit on his lap. Ick!

    ReplyDelete
  124. In an attempt to not spend money with PTI, I purchased stamps from two (new to me) companies last week: Waltzingmouse & My Favorite Things.

I am very impressed with quality from both companies! I will definitely order from Waltzingmouse again, but I don't know if I will order from My Favorite Things again. MFT is EXPENSIVE!! I ordered the new Lisa Johnson set, for $39.95 plus $6.50 shipping. They shipped my stamps/dies in a flat rate mailer, that probably cost them $2.00. And my stamp set is a 4x8 set, not a 6x8 set, and the dies aren't *that* big. Plus I feel like I was ripped off with the shipping charge.

    What does everyone else think?

    ReplyDelete
  125. Yes, MFT is quite expensive and sometimes very show on the shipping, but I do like their style.

    ReplyDelete
  126. RE: MFT, I completely agree - I think it was a huge mistake to bundle those dies with the stamps and make the price so high. I am not one who has to have dies for stamps so I think that's just nuts. You are limiting your audience - not a good move.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one that is creeped out by that Santa. It's not the style ~ I don't even think it's the eyes, they look somewhat kind. Maybe it's a little bit the eyes. But the weird mustache or something gives him a leering smile. Ick.

I know the "defenders of PTI" will give me a hard time about this too but this type of Nichole sentence still irritates me:

"And I can't forget to mention all of the other possibilities that the team and I will be showcasing in just a few short days!"

SO ... I can't forget to mention!!! followed by something so vague you are mentioning the OBVIOUS. Of course the design team is showing other possibilities. It's what you do. Every. Single. Month. (whether you should be or not of course) That's not a "can't forget to mention" kinda thing.

She just puts words together that she likes together whether they are sensible or not. :p

    ReplyDelete
  127. 12:56-totally agree about MFT pricing and limiting their audience with dies and stamps in a set.
I am wondering if they will do that same thing with Lisa's pumpkin set?

You also made me laugh with your comment about NH. She is definitely a "master of the obvious".

    ReplyDelete
  128. I liked a mannequin set at MFT but when I saw the price I decided not to order it.

    ReplyDelete
  129. MFT usually offers the option to purchase the stamp sets separately from the coordinating dies, and vice versa. Perhaps the arrangement/contract with Lisa requires the stamps and dies to be sold in sets only? I hope not. Even though I purchased the circus set, I'd like the opportunity to purchase just the pumpkin stamps. (I'm liking the diamonds and the flower dies too.)

As for MFT shipping being too high, I can't comment. I've never purchased directly from them.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Well, from the preview I won't be buying Stephanie's 'Clearly Besotted' stamp line

    http://stampingsharing.blogspot.com/2012/09/most-wonderful-time-of-year.html

    ReplyDelete
  131. Clearly, big eyes!! Whoa.

    ReplyDelete
  132. LOL...Alex made a comment about the Santa looking "creepy". hee hee. (On N. H.'s post.)

    ReplyDelete
  133. I think it's the mustache that is weird...looks like it is growing out of his nostrils.

    ReplyDelete
  134. I love all things Christmas and always buy Christmas stamps, but I can definitely pass on PTI's offerings this month. Especially the pervy looking Santa.

    ReplyDelete
  135. Ya the smile looks pervy

    ReplyDelete
  136. My opinion of the creepy santa: I have to agree with the Smackers. If this santa were clean-shaven he would look just like Jerry Sandusky. Seriously - google images of Sandusky if you've been so lucky to forget what he looks like.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Maybe it's not Santa at all. Maybe it's .... Dave.

    Lol.

    ReplyDelete
  138. 17:42---really?? You are an idiot. Just shut up. If you think you are being funny think again.

    ReplyDelete
  139. I cannot find Alex's comment.

    ReplyDelete
  140. RE: MFT I am not a big fan of the stamps but I LOVE the dies. Remember, you can get them at other places too, that might have better shipping. Like Ellen Hutson and A Walk Down Memory Lane. I hit the AWDML sale someone mentioned here on labor day and I got all MFT dies, 25% off and free shipping. So don't give up on MFT!!!

    ReplyDelete
  141. 17:42---really?? You are an idiot. Just shut up. If you think you are being funny think again
    ---------------------------
No, I wasn't trying to be funny. No, I won't shut up. It is my honest opinion as the eyes, nose, and upper lip look (to me) like Jerry Sandusky. Sensitive much?

    ReplyDelete
  142. Oh 18:39 be careful we have a rabid dog among us looking for some raw meat

    ReplyDelete
  143. Maybe the Santa is supposed to be used like a watermark?
I don't see the Sandusky similarity. That's really stretching it.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Actually, I also see the Sandusky in the sneer.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Alex's comment is #7 in the comments...on N H's sneak peaks.

    ReplyDelete
  146. It appears that Alex has been censored.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Alex must be silenced. The Capitol has spoken. No disagreement with the Capitol. No recourse. Silenced.

    ReplyDelete
  148. I agree the Sandusky reference is of no taste or class!

    ReplyDelete
  149. I am the person who "reported" Alex's indiscretion...:) And I just checked to see, and yep...her whole comment has magically disappeared. Honestly, this is ridiculous. No opinions allowed.

    ReplyDelete
  150. I saw it too and it is gone. WOW

    ReplyDelete
  151. Today is the 9th -well past the date of the 6th to have all the issues resolved. Why do they give dates they can't meet? Wonder if they run their printing business like this.

Oh, and I won't be buying creepy Santa. Was NH going for the look of that elusive Santa stamp? Anyone remember this from SCS? The company went out of business and this stamp was in high demand. It was a very realistic image, while NH's is very cartoony. Something about the eyebrows and mustache really looks bad to me.

    ReplyDelete
  152. I'm late. Who is Alex? What did Alex say?

    4:12 What company?

Will wait for DT. Samples before giving out my verdict ;)

    ReplyDelete
  153. I think it's the swirlie pattern on his beard/stache/ eyebrows that make Santa appear deranged.

    ReplyDelete
  154. That tree is really over done. Isnt this like the third one in the last few months?

And smackers get ready to smack me for redunduncy but PTI needs to focus on customer service and web page and the negaitve comments will go away on there own. They dont need to be shearing peoples comments.

    ReplyDelete
  155. So based on the leaked list os September stamps, looks like there is one shy.... I'm guessing it is the count me blessings mini set.... Maybe it is going to tie in with something else?

I still wonder how long their business model of releasing 13 stamps a month and never retiring is going To be sustainable.

    ReplyDelete
  156. Just saw the peeks for today. They really cannot come up with anything new, can they?

    ReplyDelete
  157. I missed Alex's statement too, what did it say?? Throw a smacker a bone!!

    ReplyDelete
  158. So based on the leaked list os September stamps, looks like there is one shy.... I'm guessing it is the count me blessings mini set.... Maybe it is going to tie in with something else?

What do you mean 1 shy? I don't pay enough attention to notice how many stamps they release every single month. Is it always exactly the same number?

    ReplyDelete
  159. Alex just said something to the effect of "Does anyone else think that the Santa looks a bit creepy?"...(not word for word, but something like that.) Bone thrown.... You are welcome! :)

    ReplyDelete
  160. Re: MFT. I love their dies and have a few stamps. I will agree the product is slow in arriving but considering they are shipping from Florida and I live in Canada it gets here quick enough. I also find their shipping rates to Canada very reasonable. Also, they have sales from time to time.

    ReplyDelete
  161. I hate vague post titles like "Have you ever" and "hey design team". I want to post "did you know....."

......that you can type 60 whole characters in the subject line?

but those that are the worst offenders probably won't get it anyways. Vent over.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Wpnder why they bother listing all the Palette ink pads on the site - they are all out of stock - seems to be a waste of time and space.

    ReplyDelete
  163. ^^ ooops meant to say
    'Wonder ....

    ReplyDelete
  164. There's a lot of stuff still listed on the website that is no longer offered. Someone's not maintaining the data base!

Just more sloppy PTI "we don't care about your shopping experience" attitude.

    ReplyDelete

  165. @7:30

I am 7:10. When the first loaded the new site, the actual September sets were all shown already. There were 14 sets listed and she only previewed 13

    ReplyDelete
  166. Yes, Alex posted a comment asking if anyone else thought the Santa looked creepy, then Prudence McNally replied that she thought so too. That's when the comment disappeared. Prudence has commented before with what could be construed as 'snarky' comments.

    ReplyDelete
  167. We must be slapped if we speak our minds about him being creepy. We must only say we adore him and he is the cutest thing ever. I find THAT creepy.

    ReplyDelete
  168. Thanks 9:51.

With reference to the comments being deleted,IMO it is Nichole's personal blog and she can delete whatever she wants. Maybe her feelings are hurt? Who knows. My opinion would be different if the comment was posted on the forum.

  169. I like Becky's homemade embossing folder here:

  170. I haven't ordered from PTI in a long time (bascially since the first PTI smack blog started) so I haven't ordered since they've changed how they package their stamps.
    1) I never realized you no longer get a label
    2) I never realize you had to PAY for a label and
    3) I just went to the website to look for the labels and spent 20 minutes of my life i'll never get back looking for them!

Why, in god's name, are they not listed with the stamp set? Why isn't there a pop-up that comes up asking if you would like to order the label too when you put the set in your cart? Why isn't there an explanation ANYWHERE on the website that explains that you need to purchase labels separately??

That pissed me off, and I wasn't even buying anything!!

    ReplyDelete
  171. By label do you mean index sheet? They still come with the $15 and $24 stamp sets. I'm not sure about the $18 sets though.

    ReplyDelete
  172. Yes, sorry.. "Index Label."

How is one supposed to know which sets come with an index label? It doesn't say anything in the description??!!

    ReplyDelete
  173. If PTI ever gets that store accurate, I will personally donate $10,000 to someone who really deserves it. Ain't never gonna happen. It isn't ever going to be even reasonably usable.

    ReplyDelete
  174. I agree, 14:04. The sad thing is that the older store (two iterations ago) was good. The only things it didn't do were handling the reward points redemption and offering alternative shipping methods. I don't believe that they will ever offer different shipping methods - screw the international customers seems to be something they don't mind doing. As much as people complained about that site, both of the replacements have been so much worse. I have some hope that maybe this one will improve, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

    ReplyDelete
  175. They need to recruit someone from a well run management crafting business to take over, reconstruct from the ground up. If they don't do that immediately they are going to be has-beens. It may already be too late.

    ReplyDelete
  176. 14:02, the only sets that don't come with an index label are the $5 ones. Not at all obvious, unless you happen to read the forum religiously. Again, this is a place where the old store (2 versions back) was better. The labels were linked right on the page with the stamp set, so at least you could find them. There wasn't any reminder to suggest them, though, which led to many people posting on the forum the day after each release asking for someone to add labels to their order for them. So many things that should be simple are made more difficult by PTI.

    ReplyDelete
  177. PTI would be a good case study for a college marketing class to follow.

    ReplyDelete
  178. 10:45 I guess I would have to agree with you on that point. It is her blog, and she has the right to remove negative comments, but it makes her look like she can't handle criticism of her work. If you are a designer and blog publicly you should be able to handle the good as well as the bad. Not everyone will like your work, and you should be able to handle that. Otherwise you look like a big unprofessional baby.

    ReplyDelete
  179. Oh come on ladies! Each and every one of you would delete negative comments on your personal blog and don't try to say you wouldn't. I sure as hell would. I don't need to see negative shit on my blog.

    ReplyDelete
  180. Those gingerbread people are ugly!

And those snowflakes are cool, but don't they look almost exactly like Heather's snowflake set just distressed?

    ReplyDelete
  181. Just FYI from MFT...

Before we kick off the Pep Rally we have a few brief announcements:

Up to this point our stamp sets that coordinate with Die-namics have only been available in combination with the accompanying die, but we are now phasing out these combinations, and offering each product independently.

As a courtesy to all of our loyal customers, this month we are offering all three options: Die-namics only, Die-namics Stamp & Die Sets, and stamp sets that coordinate with Die-namics.

Beginning with our October release, we will offer each new stamp set and Die-namics separately. All previously released combos will be phased out gradually as existing stock is replenished.

We hope you are as thrilled with the change as we are, and look forward to having you create with MFT!

    ReplyDelete
  182. What do you know--another company that wants to please it's customers! Good job, MFT. Get a clue PTI.

    ReplyDelete
  183. of course nichole deleted those negative comments. she is trying to sell stuff, not run a forum. grow up.

and of course, MFT is going to sell things separately. they read a criticism here and poof!

    ReplyDelete
  184. Limeaid ice? Seriously?? How about issuing a new color we can really use, like a medium gray?

    ReplyDelete
  185. Shouldn't fixing the existing ink problems be PTI's first priority?

Oh, no, that's right. Let's release more shitty ink and then ignore customers when the color fades.

    ReplyDelete
  186. First day of reveals... No comments here yet?
    Like the new color.

    ReplyDelete
  187. Oops. Typed too slow .. Sorry.

    ReplyDelete
  188. I really like Lizzie's pillow box die. Would appreciate any and all suggestions for alternatives? (I don't own a Cameo so digital files are out of the question for me.) Thanks in advance!!

    ReplyDelete
  189. 4:42, don't get me wrong. I don't hate the new color too. But there are already so many PTI green inks compared to gray.

    ReplyDelete
  190. Maybe they want it to go with their Christmas theme? :(
I was hoping for a nice gray too. It'll still be used in time for Halloween too.
I love SU's basic gray but don't want to spend extra for shipping and tax anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  191. 4:46 I googled "pillow box template" and there were a lot of free templates. Not sure which size you needed though.

    ReplyDelete
  192. I looked at all the projects. I didn't see anything that made me take a second look.
