WTF PTI?

I've not experienced the rolling out of a new site take as long and glitchy as this one.

Why do they do it over the weekend if that means the webdesigners and developers are not at work!?!

Also, the forums are meant to be on a different server-so did someone screw that shit up too? There isn't even a forum link in the new site- maybe they are doing away with it so people can't complain there any more. Wouldn't be surprised if that's why it's gone. RIP forum? :/

Unbelievable – Ted's anointed himself Chief Handslapper on the FB page. It took everything I had not to call him on it. I am truly tired of that whole mentality, especially coming from someone like him who, when it suited, was very vocal in expressing concerns and frustrations with PTI. Ugh.

These next few days leading up to the release are looking like they have the potential to be even more of a mess with that website than I might have believed possible.

Here is the URL for the forum normally

If low stock means no stock then they are going to have huge problems . The website shows the seed packet die as low stock and I was able to add it to my cart and got through the ordering process but didn't pull the trigger and my cart never showed it as being out of stock or corrected, like it used to.

What's the stamper equivalent to pitchforks and torches? I think there's going to be a huge mob if the forum isn't back up soon.

This 'rolling out' of the web site taking so long and I notice someone on FB has said some prices are wrong, items missing etc.
My rewards showed me having lots more than I earned, but that has now changed to show the correct amount.
Some on FB have noted the new site looks pretty - doesn't work for me, I prefer functionality over pretty any day.
Ted is a pain getting in his handslapper comment - I am expecting CKNutter to chime in soon.

As someone who works in the software industry, I have to say that I'm surprised at how critical a number of you are being. The website is being rolled out on a weekend, and they've already warned us there are going to be issues. It seems to me everyone is expecting perfection as soon as the website is available to you. Given PTI's history with change, why would you expect that?

We've been smacking PTI for not being more direct with communication. They told us up front to expect some pains with the new website.

We've been smacking PTI for not rolling out a new website on time. And yeah, it's REALLY FREAKIN LATE, but it's finally here.

It looks like they are making some strides. I am going to give them a little credit (not a lot, but a little). I am curious to see where this goes.

If anyone feels it's too late for these improvements and you're bitter about it, then PTI is never going to satisfy you and it's going to be hard for me to read your constant negativity. I stopped reading the "unicorns and rainbows" sites because they were far too positive and fake. I would hate for this site to be the exact same thing, but on the opposite side of the spectrum. I was hoping to get rational opinions and open-mindedness. Criticism as well, but thought out criticism.

BTW, I do like the layout of the new website. I tried to place a fake order and am seeing issues on Safari...I hope they resolve these soon.

Anonymous said...

Also, I think the new "Customer Service" section is a good leg up from where we were before. There is detailed, good information there (hopefully, it is accurate) and it's all in one location, so easy to find.

What I miss most about the old website was the gallery of samples you could see for each stamp set. Had I known this was going away I would have added more to my Evernote. Are there some on Pinterst. Yeah, but I liked the convenience of clicking while looking at the set.

Also, looks like additional labels are no longer for sale.

Do I expect perfection? Of course not. This is PTI. It's run by 3 people who have as much business sense as a gnat.

I would expect that if they are rolling out on a weekend, their web design firm is working through the weekend to correct issues. Especially with a release coming up this week.

I also expect that security issues for a website with a shopping cart would have been thoroughly tested from all browsers before a rollout.

Anonymous said...

Also, looks like additional labels are no longer for sale.
------------------------------

Labels are still available, although not as easy to find. If you search, for example, by the name of the stamp set (or a word in the name), then you will get the stamp set, any matching dies, and labels. I would really like to see them get a link to labels put right where the stamp set is, but they ARE there.

Anonymous said...

Thanks, 3:44. I would have thought with the time they took on this website that they might have made it more intuitive. Yeah, I forgot the dies are no longer linked to the stamp set. Big mistake, if you ask me. Newbies might not find all the matchie, matchies.

Seriously?? Nichole can't even get her post up on time??

A UK customer at the end of their tether! said...

Ok, I know this is going over old ground but.... I'm going to rant about Intl shipping costs/time. I received an order from SC yesterday. Shipping was FREE because I spent over $99 (not difficult!) and it got to me in the UK in 11 days.

I am still waiting for my January release order from PTI. Its due to be delivered tomorrow so that makes it 29 days and do you know how much this "priority" service has cost me? $45 for shipping, $60 for duties my end and then to add insult to injury $12 to our postal service just for handling the parcel from Customs.

I just don't understand if SC can do it, then why can't PTI? The SC order was in a large box and did NOT go through customs ( none of my SC parcels ever have). I just don't get it!

I thought there may have been some adressing of this issue with the new website, but so far no sign. It's difficult for us UK crafters ... The choice of stuff available here is just dire, and once PTI is discovered, I think they are so hard to beat in terms of design. But oh... I'm starting to feel SO p****d off with these exhorbitant shipping fees.

I've got a reasonable amount of reward points, so I think I will spend those ( assuming they get their act into gear on THAT one!) and then, regretfully have a break away from Papertrey for a while. This SHOULD worry PTI ... I WAS a regular customer who has spent a lot of $$s with them over the last 18 months or so and I'm walking away. Something tells me they just don't care or just don't get it...

p.s. Completely underwhelmed with the 'new' website so far...

Anonymous said...

Let's see .... she moved it from midnight cuz she kept missing that. Now she's missing 7:00 am postings. How does noon work for ya, NH?

Or maybe she was up all night working on the website. Yeah, right.

Anonymous said...

I don't expect perfection, but I would expect that after (what is it now?) three years of waiting the website would be awesome. This site doesn't feel any different to me than the last one except if I want to find coordinating items, I now better know them myself.

Some of the featured stamps on the front page are from 4 years ago, what happened to the newest release being there?

Also the security of the shopping cart is a huge one, it should be a given in this day and age.

I am not expecting much change to the format at this point. Like if there is no link for coordinating items there won't be one. I also have worked in IT and I could understand if the links were there but broken, but I highly doubt they are recoding to add these options on the fly.

My bitch is that almost everything everyone liked about the old site is gone, and the big things everyone wanted ( a wish list, a log in, etc.) is not there. Why would it take so long to do much of nothing.

It is like the packaging, everyone asks for one type of improvement and you go and do the opposite and everyone is like WTF did you ever give a crap about about what your customers are interested in?

As for launching on a weekend, that was obviously their choice so their web team should have told them the dangers or at least offered to work( for$ of course). When we used to launch it didn't matter when it was, you worked.

PTI owns all of this 100% and I think they just don't get it. I keep hoping to be pleasantly surprised, but I don't know why I bother.

Anonymous said...

Wow, 4:41, an extra $117 for your order and it still takes a month to get to you. I'd walk, too.

It seems they really don't care about their international customers. Other companies in the US have figured a way to service them quickly and cost effectively. Again I say, they have the business sense of a gnat. If they don't know how to do it, hire a consultant.

Have you taken a look at Waltzingmouse?

Anonymous said...

Another wonky thing I just noticed. When I click on the stamp links (by category, name or release), the "add to cart" button is below the line, making it look like it belongs to the next stamp set in the list. And there's a big blank area to the right after the price which would make a great place to put that "add to cart" button.

That may just be how my computer displays the list, but again should have been checked out prior to launch.

Disgruntled UK Custonmer said...

^^ Thanks 4:49 for your words of support!

I like Waltzing Mouse a lot and have ordered a couple of things from them, but the things that have always brought me back to PTI are the dies, the co-ordination of ribbons, card stock, ink, the colours etc. And I do think that their card stock is the best.

Have been trying to source alternatives - just ordered card stock, ink, ribbon from Clear and Simple Stamps, so will be interested to see how they compare. (My CAS Stamps order was free delivery, so they beat PTI hands down on that anyway!)

I guess I need to try and persuade Claire at WMS to start stocking sundries!

Anonymous said...

What about MFT's international shipping? They have great dies.

Or Wplus9? Matching stamps and dies. I did see on one of Dawn's card posts she referred to cardstock as something like "white beta" so maybe she is looking at bringing in a line of cardstock.

Anonymous said...

Just looked at Gina K. Her international shipping is a flat $13.95. For Canada, $5.95. I've heard good things about her cardstock.

Disgruntled UK said...

Thanks 5:22 and 5:31 for your suggestions. Will certainly take a look at them.

I guess above all though, I just wish PTI would address this issue. I don't know what % of their sales are overseas, but if the forum (when it up, of course!) is anything to go by, international customers make up a small but significant part of their business and because of the level of shipping, I think when we order we tend to order large amounts to make it "worth our while".

I suppose its true though that if we continue to pay the huge shipping rates, they will continue to deny it's any sort of problem. So... a PTI break for me, but will email their "communications officer" to let them know why I've decided to step away for a while. (Not that I'm banking on that causing any sortbof a response other than "whatever"...)

It simply doesn't seem, bottom line, the new site is a big improvement. The shop by color seems to be the only new function and there are things gone that will probably be missed. Things like an indication of coordinating items, tip sheets, access to forum and gallery. It does seem that the site is stable, I have not noticed it being down.

Other issues seem to be just messy and unfinished to me, and possibly confusing to new patrons.

There are duplicate listings for items. The search by name for stamps goes for 79 pages (if using 10 per page, the default) because each set might be listed in duplicate up to 3 times.

Navigation is inconsistent. Click on Stamps and you can see you can choose by name, release, category. Click on paper and you might not know that you can click on the names such as paper basics and so on.

Ink and ribbon is different. Click all and you don't get all. There doesn't seem to be any easy way to find exactly what you are looking for in those sections. Graphics don't match in ribbon.

Tools, packaging and accents have totally different navigation. Random items don't work. Click on Scor-tape. It shows no products. Search for Scor-tape. It's there.

I do think all these are fixable, if they wish.

I do realize they indicated we would see issues and I'm aware that there are always things that pop up no matter how much prep and testing is done. It just looks like a lot of things from my view.

These might all be PTI's choices in design, but it doens't seem to me to make it easy for customers to find and shop, and I would think that should be a prime consideration.

Anonymous said...

Regarding new website:

I really dislike the Stamps by Name category. Instead of all the stamps being listed on one page by alpha order, I now have to click and scroll to find the set.

Coordinating sets, dies, and labels are not listed on the same page as the stamp set. Tip sheet not listed. Gallery samples not available.

The website is not intuitive to use at all. If I, a long time PTI customer, am having a hard time, I can't imagine how a newbie or occasional PTI shopper will find anything. The website only works great when you're looking for something specific.

Im disappointed.

-------------------------

You CAN click on a letter at the top of the page, to get to a listing of sets that start with that letter (rather than scrolling through the whole list). I do agree though, that it was better to have the complete alphabetical list on one page. I had it bookmarked and always opened it when I was writing a blog post, so that I could quickly find the links for any sets I wanted to link up.

Overall, I agree with the comments here - not much is improved with the new site and some key elements of the old one are gone. I wonder if the new release items will still get their own page? There is still a "what's new" at the top to click on, but right now it takes you to an empty page. It will be a real pain if we have to search the whole site on release night to find the new items by category.

I'm 7:27 again. I wanted to be fair to add that another new thing that is good is that they put Nichole's blog link in an obvious place. There are a lot of things that take place via her blog. Honestly, most of the selling takes place via her blog, so it is good that is obvious instead of a small link at the bottom of the page.

Of course, that does make me wonder why more of that isn't part of the main site, but I do understand it is easier for her to post to her blog than on the web site.

But, I did also note that there are no links to their social media. They just announced the Pinterest PTI boards, they have a facebook page, Twitter.

Anonymous said...

Thanks 8:20 8:55

That's a bit different address than I had and will watch that one.

Anonymous said...

Good point 9:01 (the 2nd one) about the website not having social media links. Nichole's blog also doesn't have a link in the sidebar to sign up or follow the different PTI media outlets.

Anonymous said...

Can Smacker put a poll on the sidebar to rate the new website? It would be interesting to see in numbers.

Bet they took the forum down to keep people from bitching about the website over the weekend. And people have taken it to their FB page. Crazy.

Anonymous said...

Can someone give me the link to their Facebook page?

Anonymous said...

Did NH really need to waste her time creating a Scavenger Hunt checklist?

Anonymous said...

I am convinced that the reason the forums are not working is because they didn't want people trashing their "improved" web site...

Someone made a comment that you can no longer find the tip sheet on the website... I guess that instead of going forward, they are now going backwards by wasting paper and including it in the new packaging.

And I don't know who design that website, but it is so backwards it is not funny! I was trying to look around and decided to look for the tea dye inks. It took me FOREVER! It used to be so easy to pick the kind of ink and then see the colors. Now all the ink is in the same place and you have to scroll through pages and pages. I finally gave up in frustration!

Anonymous said...

Hopefully they fix out the kinks and it will be ready for full service soon ...

I am so sorry to hear about how much you have to pay to get your PTI products, Disgrunted UK customer!!!! Never mind the loong wait, $117 is a lot. I will walk away if I were you. I am a frustrated international customer from AU. I agree with you a 100% on everything. It is a shame that PTI is ignoring international customers. How many international customers have won any prizes from PTI!!! (not including Canadian customers). I think they do not want to pay international shipping to sent the prizes to international customers. Cheapos!!!

I am just going to use my reward points and walk away from PTI.
I have discovered Wplus9, Hero Arts, MFT, CAS and many others who offer reasonable and reliable shipping to international customers.

After 3 years into making new website, the new webite is a joke. Not user friendly at all. On the release day, it is going to be a mess. Forum is not up and running, not getting any tracking number from the company for orders anymore, no changes in international shipping except costs gone up. Terrible company. What a shame!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Really, 13:14? It probably took you more time to type out your request than it would have taken you to google "Papertrey Ink Facebook."

Google is your friend, people.

Anonymous said...

I'm confused by the person who wrote that it is hard to find items on the new website. But allow me be specific first...

As the example, they were having a hard time finding the tea duo ink set. I went to the search box and typed in "tea" and the vintage touch tea dye ink is item #3 in the search results. Then I thought about a newbie who might not know "tea" was in the name. So then I typed in "vintage" and the vintage touch tea dye ink is listed on page 2.

I also tried to go to the new "ink" tab and see what happens. I didn't see the tea ink dye on the first page, but when I changed the dropdown to show 150 items instead of 10, it comes up there as well.

Please note that when I type in more than one word in the search feature, I am less successful. It's almost as if the feature does a hard-coded search on multiple words as they appear together. For instance, when typing in "tea ink" or "vintage ink" the search came back with nothing. But the actual product title does not have the words "tea" nor "vintage" directly next to the word "ink", either. This leads to me believe that the search is limited to what is written exactly, and only searches by product title.

Is anyone else using the search feature?

Anonymous said...

It's difficult to do a search when you don't know what you're searching for. I don't buy every month so if I'm buying something that's been around a while I probably don't know the names, what coordinates, etc.
I'm not a total stranger to PTI but I had trouble navigating the new site.

Anonymous said...

Wow, 18:45: your response was about as "helpful" as PTI's customer service department.

Do you really think you're the only genius on earth smart enough to use the search function on PTI's website to, um, search?

Anonymous said...

Also, why on earth would anyone use the word "vintage" to search for fucking ink? One is about as likely to know that "tea" is in an ink name as the word "vintage".

Have you tried using your brain to do something other than handslap or sound superior?

Anonymous said...

wow, i think someone needs a cup of tea to calm down ...

Anonymous said...

18:39, thanks sooo much for your help. I don't do Facebook but went to their site to try to find PTI's page before posting the question.

Anonymous said...

wow, some ppl were in a bad mood last night. touchy much?

I don't use the search a lot. but when I know what I'm looking for I can find what I want thru it. so the site is not as useless as a few comments have indicated. it seems like some ppl are trying to find fault when they are just being lazy and having a hard time adapting to change.

I agree that the initial layout is not optimal. finding by color is neat. but splitting dies from stamps was stoopid. (yah, that was intentionally misspelled)

once the forum comes back up, I'm going to post some thoughts on ways to make the site more useful and hope they read it.

But I would hide the husband away for the weekend.

Anonymous said...

Don't you find it odd that the forum is up and running but not a single post about the new website? Perhaps all the cheerleaders are scared of opening the floodgates!

And also, wouldn't you think that NH would be publicising it on her blog ... If it were something she was actually proud of! And if she isn't proud of it, why did they bother at all?

I don't think it is AWFUL (but to not have related stamp sets, dies, hints and tips and gallery linked when you access details on a particular set seems to make no business sense to me, leave aside for now convenience to the customer!)... But it CERTAINLY isn't a huge improvement in terms of appearance, inspiration or ease of use, so tell me .... What was the point?

Well done PTI - another missed opportunity!

@6:26 - I was wondering the same. What makes something "featured"?

They are now delaying the release of Global Greetings due to the mistakes in it. I don't know about anyone else, but I personally think this is a good show of them taking into account the customer feedback. And swiftly.

I'm also skeptical of the french one for baby being "petit chou" you CAN say that but people really don't.... oh well.

Do all of them have issues?

Anonymous said...

By not checking out the correct wording used in Global Greetings, they will now lose money on this set. Surely these things need to be checked out before going into production??

Anonymous said...

looks like they got the Rewards numbers fixed. My rewards went from $80 to $7

Disgruntled UK said...

Don't you think it would be refreshing if NH published some details on her blog to address the issues that customers are now starting to raise on the forum, e.g:
* is the link from each stamp set's detail page to the gallery going to be restored
* are the links to related products going to be restored
* is there going to be a wish list function or will something be done to stop items jumping out of the shopping cart
* are there going to be any more shipping options introduced
* when are customers going to be able to use reward points to buy stuff.

It seems so strange to me that PTI are not being more pro-active about this... It would make much more business sense to be so. And I just think that most customers would expect updates regarding the website to be posted on NH's blog. Still... We have got JE's M.I.M. video on coasters to look at, so that's alright then....

Somebody please help me – I'm on the verge of blowing a gasket on the forum.

On the thread where people are voicing their views regarding the new site, many are expressing frustration, to which Ted has thoughtfully chimed in with, "Patience is a virtue," to which I want to scream, "And is that what you tell yourself when your students show up week after week with lame excuses as to why they didn't get assignments completed, or do you tell them that they (students or PTI) need to make good on their promises and responsibilities (assignments for students, functioning websites, prize packages mailed, anniversary sets sent out for PTI)?

I totally believe that a majority of the cheerleaders on the forum who stand up for all of PTI's shortcomings would never stand for equivalent behaviors in friends, family members, and other businesses they deal with. It's a twisted double standard where they can't tolerate truths regarding their "happy place" and prefer to believe it's only sad and disgruntled people who dare to utter dissatisfaction. Um, no, it's when I see a company continue to mess up so badly that I don't wish to enable the madness.

Okay, rant complete. Thanks for listening.

I'm glad the people who were double charged posted on the forums. I doubt PTI would have advised us on their own.

People got double charged? That's so wrong. I don't understand why people are soooo invested in PTI and defending their poor business practices.

Anonymous said...

Their challenge today is to make an interactive card. Um, doesn't that show that you don't need their dies to make an interactive card? (I'm sure people will still buy them though).

Anonymous said...

^^^^^

Exactly! When I saw the post this morning, it was a total WTF moment.

Anonymous said...

I so want to post to any and all threads by Ted asking him how he has so much time during the schoolday to be posting so much.

AerynK said...

They want you to SEE how difficult it is without their dies. It's been done to death (to the point of being completely ignored now) but it's a bitch sometimes.

"look at how easy our dies are to use! Bring back this classic cardmaking technique!" and so on and so forth and blah blah blah...

The poor lady who posted about bringing the old site back is really getting slapped. Are people not allowed to have an opinion?

My inner ghetto black woman has to be suppressed when I go to that board. I have to remind myself that I am educated and above that because I am so close to giving some people there the business.

I think I love you Trell!!

OK, so I'm just now catching up on comments from the past 24 hours. I didn't place an order yet...has anyone else? And is anyone successful?

I read this on the forum and almost bust a gut laughing so hard: "Well I tried to put an order on Saturday. I got as far as checkout and it wouldn't accept my gift certificates. Then I tried to pay and it declined my order, emptied my basket, and took my money anyway."

WTF?

From the PTI Forum:

Re: New website - what does everybody think?
by jenniferellefson » Tue Feb 14, 2012 1:31 am

I understand everyone is frustrated, and with all candor, I can tell you that you're not the only ones, and if at all possible, we're even more frustrated. This does not allow for the singling out of forum members and the disrespectful treatment that is developing here. I truly dislike having to post these kinds of reminders, but please treat each other with respect or the thread will have to be locked.

Anonymous said...

^^^ Why would PTI be even more frustrated? Didn't they test the website themselves first, before launching it? And if they didn't, why didn't they? And if they did, how did they miss things like carts emptying and people being charged double? WTH?

Anonymous said...

ok, i find it very interesting that many people are slamming posters on the boards ... if you don't like going there and get frustrated, why go at all?

Anonymous said...

i'm sure pti is incredibly frustrated ... they have spent money and time on the new website that is having lots of issues.

Anonymous said...

i am really pulling for pti and hoping the release ends up going ok in the end. sigh ....

Anonymous said...

^^^ok PTI sheep. Why don't you go post this to the forum (insert eyeroll here)

Anonymous said...

22:24, my guess is they did not test it, the idiots that they are. I believe they are using a canned program and someone with limited web development experience. No one who tested that site should have let it go live. Which leads me to believe no one tested that site. They are blaming the designer when some of that responsibility rests on their shoulders. In truth, no good web developer would let the site go live in that condition. Once again, I think they took the cheap route and it's biting them in the butt.

Anniversary set is up on Heather's blog. At least what she used of it, looks an awful lot like Rosie Posie. I can see no need to have both. Will be interested to see the whole thing, but based on Heather's post, kind of disappointed. I guess that means I'll have more rewards to use on other things, though.

Anonymous said...

3:56 here again. Now that I look again a bit closer, I do like the sentiments and the frame. But still would have liked something different than the solid flower and leaves that looks so much like Rosie Posie. At least this one has an outline version too.

Anonymous said...

WOW - PTI IS HAVING A SALE?

Do they do this every year at anniversary time? Or is this due to the negative feedback about their new website?

Anonymous said...

every year I am disappointed by the anniversary set. this year is no different.

Anonymous said...

This is the first sale I have ever seen. I think they might be worried that people aren't even going to try to buy tonight because of the website issues.

Anonymous said...

Wait a sale?? :) I haven't ordered in a long time. Is it really worth the risk - a 5% discount?

Just to put things in perspective - if you place an order for $70 (for free ship) you save $3.50.

OK now that I've thought this through, it's probably not worth it to me.......

Anonymous said...

The flower in the anniversary set does NOT look like a peony. Trust me, I KNOW peonies. Clearly looks like a rip off from Rosey Posey. Someone got lazy....5% is not a sale. Not enough to entice me to buy...no way.

Anonymous said...

Wow 5% off! For that poster who has spent way more than anyone else I guess this will add up to quite the savings. For me, it isn't enough of an enticement to risk OOS items, double chatges and whatever else will go wrong.

I wonder if you order and apply the discount if it voids your ability to earn reward points....just wondering...some stores do that.

Anonymous said...

I think how PTI is run these days and the disasters that seems to happen with every decision they make, perhaps they should consider phone orders? ;)

So now instead of focusing on getting orders out and addressing the issues at hand.. they have to deal with website issues, double-charging folks.

Just remember this is PTI we are talking about. It's not like they have more people helping out here.

It almost seemed like they expected their customers to debug their site.

Anonymous said...

Every time Ted calls the rewards "PTIBUX" I throw up a little in my mouth.

Anonymous said...

Remind me again who else carries Friendship Jar like sets? Bonus if they have a die to go with it.

I'm by no means a PTI groupy, only ordered twice. But it'd be nice if I could stay clear of giving them any of my funds.

Anonymous said...

I think someone in "The J's" family is in web design class this whole re-do of the PTI website was a "learn-as-you-go" project. ITA with the other commenter that said any reputable web development company would never go live with something with this many glitches. More cutting corners from PTI means more $$ in The J's matching dooney & burke.

Is anyone surprised by the fact that the new DVD cases "didn't meet their high standards" and won't be released at this time?!! Holy schnykies - do these people EVER check anything before they open up their big mouths?! And of course, the new and ONLY storage system for any releases going forward won't be available for "the next few months . . . " Gee, I wonder where I've heard that before?! Seriously, this shiz is priceless - I so could have written the script for how all this crap was going to turn out. Thanks for once again meeting my low expectations, PTI!!

Anonymous said...

PTI should be a verb. Meaning to basically screw up at every turn.

Thoughts on Movers and Shakers? I really thought it was a cool idea until I saw the projects. Basically I think the PTI paper is just too thick to have detailed folds, etc. Did you see the hot mess that I think Ashley posted with the happy die?

If I wanted to go down this road, I think I'd go with Memory Box dies. I always liked the idea of the Sizzix popup dies. But they are just so BIG to store!

baaaaahahahaha! I'm loving the link nutti-hooker posted to a blog article "how to respond to negative blog comments."

I particularly love that I now know what to call it when Ted pulls the pin and launches his hand slappy grenade into a thread:

THREAD CRAPPING!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks CKnutti-hooker!

Just did the math - 24 awards points gives you the opportunity to get the fugly anniversary set (that may or may not ever arrive in your mail box). That means that you had to spend $600 in order to get that thing. In the previous system, you only had to spend $180 (12 x $15) to get the anniversary set. Seriously? These people are delusional!!

To the poster above, Waltzingmouse started doing jars sets... right now it's just holiday, though - but I'm pretty sure more are to come:

11:02 Add to that the fact that you have to pay shipping, where before they would just send it to you.

My friend just found out that if you want to use your points, you have to pay shipping, unless your order is your points plus $70 to earn you free shipping.
