    From Amber's blog -
"The new collection includes coordinating ink, envelopes, ribbon, cardstock and giftwrap! YESSIR – you heard me – gift wrap! And what do we do with gift wrap? Well, I don’t know about you , but I use it to make gift bags. Gift wrap as gift wrap is so last season."

So CSS has just come out with a line of gift wrap and Amber says that using it as intended is so last season? That wouldn't sit well with me if I was CSS's owner.

  3. so the sentiment "you like a sister dear friend"

should that have a comma in it?

as in: "love you like a sister, dear friend"

or is my grammar down the tubes?

    ReplyDelete
  4. There is a comma in the sentiment

    ReplyDelete
  5. I find Amber's new site LAME as well. I agree with the Martha wannabe comment.

  6. Before I ask on the PTI forum, I thought I'd see if anyone here knows. My Pure Poppy full sized pad has come unglued from the case. How do I successfully re-attach it? I seem to remember this problem being discussed on the forum WAAAAY back. Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  7. I've heard that a couple drops of super glue will do the trick. I've used that method to reattach some Colorbox Cats Eye pads and the glue had no effect on the ink whatsoever. Just use the glue sparingly.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I like Amber's blog but I always think that over-the-top blogs would be pretty expensive to maintain. As soon as the ads take over I will stop visiting.

    ReplyDelete
  9. When will the SU Spring mini be available online?

    ReplyDelete
  10. RE: Amber's blog

I think she spends more time tablescaping, staging, working on her blog posts, and monetizing the blog than she does on the actual project itself. I would rather see a really great project and tutorial with less production value than a crappy project with fancy editing. Example? The bag with the poorly sewn watermelon applique (was it that? it's hard to remember) on the side of a purchased canvas bag. More Sandra Lee than Martha Stewart, sorry!

    ReplyDelete
  11. I say good for her for trying to do something with the hobby
Her writing style is not so much for me, and the less paper craft projects I see the less I will visit
But a run of the mill blog takes some work so I can only imagine how much hers takes and give her some credit for that

    ReplyDelete
  12. I agree with the amount of work! I like a lot of her projects and I will follow her blog as long as the ads don't take over.

    ReplyDelete
  13. 11:42 - I think someone posted they used Gorilla Glue for their detached ink pads but like the OP mentioned - use it sparingly.

    Good luck.

    Exactly, 13:44!

  15. I am guessing it is this blog: http://www.damasklove.com/

  16. Yes, Amber at Damask Love.

  17. I completely forgot about PTI's preview today. That seems to be a good sign in ending any vestiges of PTI addiction that may be remaining.

Someone else has mentioned previously on the very odd use of emphasis in recent sentiments. I think Stitched Sentiments is one of the worst. I say this as a needleworker. I couldn't send one of these to any of my stitching friends (all extremely accomplished needlework artists). The sentiments are just too "off".

In her quest to be different, NH missed the mark completely. Had she done a simple "thinking of you" or "wishing you well" or "happy birthday" in a cross stitch font, I could use this set. But seriously a big "MAY"?????? WTF???

    ReplyDelete
  18. Say what you want but I will take slow shipping and gladly pay for good packaging over stuff being thrown in a Priority Envelope. No packing or anything to protect the paper corners. I ordered cardstock ribbon and buttons. The envelope was torn and tattered on the corners. So the paper had crumpled corners. The package was stuck to the glue strip so it left brown cardboard on it. Same with the ribbon package. This is a gift and it looks like crap.

Now i either have to repackage or hassle with sending it back. This is from one of the well known companies.

  20. Geesh! Donna C, can't you remember to LOG OUT before posting in your name? lol!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Sigh...you know what I love Donna C
She had the guts to post under her name till she got bullied out of it

    ReplyDelete
  22. I guess I am not terribly worried about slipping and using my name since I never post anything to be ashamed of.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I want to make Christmas books. I think my Bind-It-All is going to get a real work out between those and custom calendars this year!

    ReplyDelete
  24. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Blue-Zutter-Bind-It-All-Package-/271103177429?

    Good deal, lots of extras.

    ReplyDelete
  25. And why are we hating on Amber's blog? I like it. I find it refreshing.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Who is Amber and where is her blog?

    ReplyDelete
  27. 19:47, read up a bit. Amber Daigre at the blog Damask Love. I love her stuff, no hate from me! But it does look like she puts a lot of work into it.

  28. MAY
is my favorite month of the year

    MAY
be I like you and maybe I don't

    MAY
I please come over for dinner

... yeah, I can't really see myself using it as the focal word either. It just looks so weird.

    LOVE
you like a sister, dear friend

... looks dorky too. If the word "you" were up next to the word "love" and then "like a sister"etc were on the banner it would flow SO much better. There are so many PTI sentiments that don't flow well because the wrong words are emphasized. It seriously drives me BONKERS. (Note the appropriate use of emphasis in that sentence, lol.)

    ReplyDelete
  29. Looked at the MFT ink
The pad looks just like the vivid ink pad does.
Hands Down the BEST ink for clear stamps. It does stain, but that pad literally grabbed the stamps - felt like u had to peel the stamp off the inkpads sometimes!
I will be getting all their ink and slowly changing my colour pallette over to their cardstock

    ReplyDelete
  30. 16:25, did you contact the company with your issue? I'd love to know who it was because I order from them all and no one has ever sent me cardstock in a priority envelope. I also know that most other companies bend over backwards to provide good customer service without inconveniencing the customer.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Was really excited about the knitting and cross stitch from the peeks, but the actual sets are very underwhelming
    Won't be buying.....

    ReplyDelete
  32. I like the knitting and cross stitch images. I need to see all of the sentiments together to decide whether I get them or not. I really wish the banner die had been designed/produced differently.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I like Nichole's cards today and I am looking forward to sitting down and looking at the rest of the dt's cards. I have so many stamps from other companies that are similar so I am not to worried about being tempted.

    ReplyDelete
  34. 1625 I just emailed the company. Lets see how its handled. I will report back.

Its such a pain to return something. The post office this time of year is a bit crazy.

    ReplyDelete
  35. They got me with the sweater. I have to have that.

    ReplyDelete
  36. seems like a good deal on bakers twine if anyone is in need of some

    http://www.peachycheap.com/

    ReplyDelete
  37. I like the idea of the sweater, especially the cuffs, but I would like it to have 2 arms. I will use my Cameo instead.

    ReplyDelete
  38. The cards are cute enough but I don't knit and my one friend who knits doesn't stamp. Too bad.

Ordered paper from Gina K last weekend and received yesterday in Canada. Super quick shipping. Wish I could say the same about SSS but its true their customer service is top-notch.

    ReplyDelete
  39. As if yesterday wasn't underwhelming enough, enter today. My DH and I looked at the cards last night and went "WTF is this sentiment? 'you like a sister, dear friend' - then I realized that big, honking "LOVE" was the first part of the sentiment. Didn't flow correctly, IMO. And today? Ick. I would rather have a full sweater card than 3/4s of a sweater card. I liked the first day of stuff, but since then, nothing. I can pass.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I do not like Lawn Fawn stamps. I am sorry. But they are not my style.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I'm sorry, but the sentiment "LIFE, sometimes becomes tangled, but you must carry on and work past the knots." is quite possibly the dumbest sentiment to date. It wordy, doesn't flow, and is just trying too hard. I realize everyone has a ton of "Happy Birthday" and "Thinking of you" and "Thank you" sentiments, but the sentiments today are just ridiculous.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I dont find the "Life" sentiment all that bad but I have a work situation that is a very large KNOT in my life right now. Maybe I can relate to it to much. Ha!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Placed a $200 order with MFT this morning. By this afternoon, I had a real Fed Ex shipping notification. It said "picked up". Bought a couple of stamps but mostly dies. I'm also trying their ink.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I'm another former customer who has been forgetting all about the releases during the sneak peek time. It's nostalgic to see what they're up to. And I'm glad the offerings still tend to be dull even though I don't think I could be tempted again.

Tonight I remembered it was release time (dated something!) and thought, you know, I don't care what anyone says, if I like something I'll buy it. But that feeling lasted all of three seconds. Even though any CS issues are "hidden" these days, just knowing how horrible they've been to people in the past, I just would not buy from them.

    Sign me, Cured!

    ReplyDelete
  45. You have been replaced by countless others.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Cured
Who cares if you don't order. It's your loss.

    ReplyDelete
  47. This is "Cured." My loss?? You've got to be kidding.

Sorry to intrude - thought this was a smack blog, not another propaganda arm of PTI.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Not seeing anything that interests me in this month's release. I loved Betsy's projects, though, and she's usually not my favorite, because her style and mine are so totally opposite. She did an awesome job this month.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I don't like anything from this release, anywhere else I can throw my money at?

    ReplyDelete
  50. $15 for the buttons? Are they out of their fucking minds?

    ReplyDelete
  51. I am getting the knitting and the sweater and the sweet blush pack.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Threw some $$ at MFT, crafty steals and SU

I'm actually shopping less and crafting more...love it!!!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Peachycheap.com has a good deal today on 9 rolls of washi tape.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Thanks for the peachycheap link. That is a great deal for washi tape! You can never have enough washi tape!

I'll be ordering from Mama Elephant tonight instead of PTI. They have wowed me again this month.

  56. I'm not super jazzed about anything being released today. Is it me or do the $15 sets look small? You don't get much for $15 these days!

I may order 1 or 2 things (through a friend) but nothing over $20. So sad. I miss the excitement of release day!

    ReplyDelete
  57. I though the mama elephant release was cute, tho not right for me. But I did order from MFT. Love that poinsettia die! And I should have it in my hands tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I ordered from MFT on Tuesday night (11 pmish) and had my order in my hands on Thursday morning. Thursday morning!

Amazingly fast shipping and really good customer service, too. Their dies aren't cheap, though.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Market street stamps sent emails to all former customers sincerely thanking them for their business and offering a code for 33% off your order until Tuesday. They get my vote this month!

    ReplyDelete
  60. I have ordered from Market street a lot and never go the email. I am pissed.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I got the email from Market Street. Nothing jumping out at me even with the discount. Too bad.

Going to be splitting a PTI order with a friend tonight. We both need paper and a couple of dies. No stamps though.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Looks like they don't take Paypal anymore. No PP option when you check out.

    ReplyDelete
  63. 16:08 you should contact them and see what they say.

    ReplyDelete

  65. My stamping money went to Verve this month. Lots of pretty holiday stamps!

    ReplyDelete
  66. Are Hero Arts inks available in B&M's??

    ReplyDelete
  67. Where is the new release smacking? What will happen to this place if pti has gotten their act together?

    ReplyDelete
  68. No one is smacking because no one is interested anymore. That's why the forum and here are dead. People have moved on.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I ordered and the process was flawless and my package has shipped.

    ReplyDelete
  70. some folks moved on; others are quietly buying. no doubt PTI's sales are down significantly, just like SU, which now has a sale every hour.

    ReplyDelete
  71. How stupid is SU to offer that blue purse texture embosser (doesn't even cut) for $29.95 plus shipping and tax when you can get it for $9.50 with a 50% coupon.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I still think the people who are quietly buying are buying less, and many have gone away completely. Nothing has been selling out and the hype that used to be is definitely not there.
No wonder things seem to be shipping quicker.

    ReplyDelete
  73. ^^^^^^ no way PTI could be making improvements, right????

    ReplyDelete
  74. FYI business is NOT down. HTH

  76. Even if there are any problems with PTI it would be swooped into the Zen desk thingey before anyone else saw it, so, problem solved!!! Everything then looks 'nice' on the forum except for the boring DT posts etc.

  77. Beating A Dead Horse17 November 2012 at 03:54

It is hard for me to smack PTI since I don't buy from them or visit the forum anymore. It has been well over a year since I have bought anything there. I did sit on the sidelines for a bit in hopes of something changing, but for me nothing did. Thought of this the other day......remember when a customer returned a defective item and was promised her shipping would be refunded, and they sent her postage stamps. SERIOUSLY?!?! Is there a uni out there that can defend that?????
If many customers have replaced me, thats OK. I can wake up every morning with my head held high, because I refuse to be abused and bullied by PTI staff.
I debated on this one, but I guess it got the best of me. Donna C. if you post nothing you are ashamed of then why do you always delete your posts?

    ReplyDelete
  78. There are problems, as there are with other well known companies too. People are choosing to handle them privately. You get the respect you give.

    ReplyDelete
  79. "you get the respect you give" comment REALLY frosts me. the implication is that PTI treated its customers like shit only because the customers went public.

We paid you hundreds if not thousands of our dollars. Our credit cards went through just fine. you took our money no questions asked. and then when you failed to deliver a product that was spelled correctly not missing or on time YOU treated us like shit first.

ugh, PTI still is the victim??????

why i am posting this i am not sure. haven't bought in a year and won't. ever. and that comment makes me wish the company would just fold and go away.

    ReplyDelete
  80. The company folding and going away has been your wish and your goal all along. This has been obvious.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I so agree with you 5:23
People went public as a last resort...I remember reading the thread on split coast and it was full of
'"I had a problem once too ad never said anything"
Tons of people kept quiet and were still being treated like shiy

    ReplyDelete
  82. Thank you for the Stampin' Up links! I have so much stuff from them and other companies, but there are a few things that interest me.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I am very impressed with the SU Spring Mini and haven't been attracted to SU for a long time.

Of course people delete names when they accidentally post it so the bullies won't attack. Of course those of you who out them ARE the bullies.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Your SAB link won't work.

Ellen Hutson Overstock sale is fabulous!

    ReplyDelete
  85. Looks like it was a 100% smooth release so far. I see no complaints and my order went through easily and is on it's way. I expect it Monday.

    ReplyDelete
  86. They are starting to win me back.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Go for it! I havent seen anything I am interested in in over a year. I certainly dont miss the crappy cs and the overblown hype of the release night frenzy! I've moved on.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Ordered that darned A Muse set on Oct. 1 just for the coupon. I STILL don't have it and the coupon expired shortly. Back to Fresh Inks for all my inks. A Muse is off my list.

    ReplyDelete
  89. 7 weeks? What are they thinking?

    ReplyDelete
  90. Thank you for the SU links!

    ReplyDelete
  91. Looks like it was a 100% smooth release so far. I see no complaints and my order went through easily and is on it's way. I expect it Monday.

    =============

You might want to read the tech help thread before they delete it! Not 100% smooth by a long shot!

    ReplyDelete
  92. Where is the tech help thread?

Does anyone have a working SU SAB link?

    ReplyDelete
  93. The SAB link worked for me earlier today, and again just now when I tried it (though I'm willing to concede that the later try might have been from cache rather than successfully loaded from their site).

    ReplyDelete
  94. 11:03 yes there were issues. But nothing like past releases. Come on...you can admit it...come on...
    :-)

You are just scared you might be tempted to purchase something.

    ReplyDelete
  95. No, I'm not scared. I know quite a bit about the 3 Amigos from folks who used to be affiliated with PTI one way or another and that is all I need. There are no products that I care that much about. But I hope that when you buy you are happy and I mean that.

    ReplyDelete
  96. 10:50 Regarding the AMuse special free set. They CLEARLY stated all over the website that they were not shipping the sets until after October. So whether you ordered it on 10/1 or 10/31 they will all get shipped together.

    so calm down people.

    ReplyDelete
  97. So does anyone follow who the Splitcoast Dirty Girls are anymore? I swear, over the last 6-7 months I have never even HEARD of the new Dirty Girls.

Such a shame, years ago this was a big deal. Me and some of my friends used to DREAM of being asked to that team. Then blogs and DTs came along and now it's a total "ho-hum" every month.

    ReplyDelete
  98. i never cared about dirty girls. think the name is horrible and the competition in the stamping world silly. most stampers work sucks.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Rip off. Amuse gives a 20% off an order coupon with the "free set" but mid November and they don't send it. Coupon expires very shortly. A racket.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Re: the SAB flyer-it's a one page document. After I copied and pasted the link, I had to zoom out the view then it loaded and I could zoom back in.
It's just a really long page of what looks like all the items spread out on a table.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Apart from the CS issues, and the fact that nothing has interested me for over 12 months, as an International I have no intention of ordering as it is obviously that PTI also have no intention of changing their mailing options.

    ReplyDelete
  102. PTI buyers and non buyers should just go to their separate corners and enjoy life. You want to buy the products? Who cares? It's a craft company. You want to boycott? Who cares? It's your money. Spend it your way,

    any gossip?

    ReplyDelete
  103. I just don't understand why PTI's international shipping policy is the way it is. Other much smaller companies have figured it out and, if there is a risk to them, have done a risk analysis and figured out how to make it work. Makes no sense to me - think they would want to maximize sales. But PTI's logic is very strange.

Re: SCS Dirty Girls, I can remember anxiously waiting to see their projects. SCS was a big deal back then and I subscribed to the site just to see those projects. Used to spend a lot of time on that site, looking at all the newly uploaded cards. I rarely do that now, although I may look up ideas for a given SU set.

    ReplyDelete
  104. This is PTI's rationale. I know you hate it when someone here says "trust me" but here is what I know.

Julie will not let anyone else make $$ decisions. Thus, even though it ultimately costs PTI $$, Julie deals directly with customers. She simply does not trust employees to make $$ decisions for PTI. Julie gets flustered and aggravated by customer complaints. She has an inherent distrust of others, continues to spend most of her time on non PTI business, etc.

She made the decision that the money earned on international orders wasn't worth the hassle of dealing with international customers. As I said, a penny wise pound foolish decision, but we all act in our emotional interest sometimes.

While international customers think this makes no sense, in PTI's case it does because of who Julie is. In case you haven't figured it out, Julie is essential 2 out of the 3 amigo votes.

So if you don't like it, don't buy. Julie really doesn't care.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Julie's need to be a control freak has taken a wonderful company with wonderful product and a very loyal and large customer base, and has reduced it to what it is today.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Yes, up to a point. The company is not in as bad a shape as many think, although sales are down from the hay days of all of us pressing click before we even saw the full reveal. Those days are done. But they are still selling tons of product every month. Witness the Donna C's and others who criticize, smack, anonymously and on the forum yet still buy. I say buy if you love the product and don't mind the ocassional mess.

    ReplyDelete
  107. I noticed that Donna posted about buying as well. If the vocal smackers are still quietly buying, they probably aren't hurting quite as badly as we may think.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Donna C admits to purchasing twice in 16 months. She does not condone the screw ups but she still likes some of the product. How do you know she smacks? Yes, she posts here, but only about 1 out of 5 of any of the posts are smacks. I have seen the ones she deleted and they were not in any way smacks. Why don't you guys leave her alone?

    ReplyDelete
  109. The company folding and going away has been your wish and your goal all along. This has been obvious.

    _________________

    Hi, Rick! You're so transparent.

This, in a nutshell, is why PTI will never reach its full potential (in spite of the "brilliant" businesswomen that run it).

PTI has an adversarial view of its customers. Legitimate complaints are treated as an attempt by shady characters to put the company out of business. Customers are treated as necessary evils, rather than the reason your business is thriving.

Perhaps a very small percentage of people wanted PTI to go out of business, but I can honestly say that is a very minority view around here. Most people were hoping for improvement so that they could continue purchasing.

But keep treating your customers like enemies, Rick, Julie, et all. Because you know they're just out to rip you off.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Why do we keep rehashing old stuff? Has something new happened that has cause this old crap to resurface? Move on already.

  111. Why do we keep rehashing old stuff? Has something new happened that has cause this old crap to resurface? Move on already.

    ____________

Why do you feel the need to hand slap? People are responding to comments that were made YESTERDAY.

Is that too "old" for you, oh arbiter of what one can and cannot discuss here?

    ReplyDelete
  112. Happy now? Things were a little boring. So somebody stirred some shit.

    ReplyDelete
  113. I don't know any business owner with half a brain that would turn away 8% of their customer base
( that's what internationals make up in the PTI customer pool)
That's like saying your ok losing 10% of your business each month
I know my $300 is going elsewhere mainly due to the shipping increase that happened earlier this year

    ReplyDelete
  114. ^^^ ditto
33.95 minimum to ship to Canada?!?!?!?!?!?
When places like SSS can do free shipping after $75!?!?!?!?
So not happening.....and I don't care anymore since clearly they dont.,

  115. I am an international ex-customer as well. I cannot afford their shipping charges and I am fed up to keep asking.
I order from SSS or Gina K and other US companies and I don't have problems.

Anyway, there are a couple of A muse stamp sets I really like. Does anyone know an A muse consultant that will be willing to send me the stamps outside the US?

    ReplyDelete
  116. 8% of sales are or could be international? I wonder where you got that figure. Seems high to me, given PTI's shipping costs.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Nichole gave that figure out on the forum once

    ReplyDelete
  118. It included canadians
It used to be not too bad, I'd order $100 worth of stuff and get $10 bucks off like 26 dollar shipping
So I'd be paying $16 to ship over $100 worth of merchandise
$20 off if I ordered $200 so I'd never really pay more than $20 in shipping
Last order i put in my cart was $38 shipping for $130 worth of stuff...walked away from that order pretty quickly...

    ReplyDelete
  119. Well, it is obvious that PTI did the math and for whatever reason (perhaps the musings aobut jul8ie above are correct) decided that they make enough moula to charge high shipping to internationals.

    deal with it.

    ReplyDelete
  120. It is all about money to those 3 women. That kind of shipping charge is another way to rip off customers that take a little more time and effort. They don't value us, they value only our money. Can't pay it and we are nothing to them.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Funny that someone posts something shitty, someone else calls them Rick, and then everyone else assumes that is was Rick. 05:14 and 05:47 NOT Rick.....

    ReplyDelete
  122. I never understood why other companies conduct business internationally without any issues, but PTI can't or won't (won't is probably the answer). Sales are only at 8% for internationals now with the current shipping, but they are losing much more than they realize.

I only really wanted one set from this month's release. Actually, I only really wanted one stamp from that set. Back in the good ole days, I would have bought the whole set just for the one stamp. I still buy once in awhile but my overall PTI spending is a 10th of what it used to be. Spending good $ at Impress, Ellen Hutson, I heart papers, Avery Elle, and Mama Elephant (with occasional purchases to Paper Smooches, Technique Tuesday, Lawn Fawn, and MFT for dies only). I'd like to try more CSS, but the $$$ prices are too much.

If PTIs business practices don't put them out of business, their increasingly mediocre designs will.

    ReplyDelete
  123. I am Canadian and I thought that the minimum shipping charge was $23.00. Whenever I ordered a few of us would go together and spend over $200. Not anymore. The only purchases that I have made in the past year have been from the for sale board.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Big sale over at My Favorite Things. Save 20% on stamps, dies, card stock, ribbon, felt, buttons, etc. Enter code "NOV2012" at checkout. Good through 11/25/12.

    Awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  125. 7:53 - another Canadian here. I could have wrote your post. We were tired of the lonnnnngggg wait and shipping cost.

Off to MFT for the sale!!

    ReplyDelete
  126. 6:46 deal with this...you are a beotch!

    ReplyDelete
  127. Not all internationals are Canadians. There are a couple of oceans between PTI and me - I gave up on waiting for changes to PTi shipping. They are obviously not interested in the international market.
SSS get my orders to me within 2 weeks, at a fraction of the postage. PTI, in those silly boxes filled with packaging material, would take 4-6 weeks and cost a bomb.

    ReplyDelete
  128. PTI could increase their 8% international market - it would be easy to do so if they cared. Others can do it because they want as much business as they can get.

But then, I am not one of the wonderful business women running the show.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Well they obviously don't miss my business.

    ReplyDelete
  130. I could still easily spend $150 a month if they would work on their Canadian shipping. I don't care for many of the new stamps but I could still buy the cardstock.

Well, I would certainly be more tempted anyways. There is that whole pesky customer service thing that is a deterrent.

    ReplyDelete
  131. 8:00, where did you find that info on the sale at MFT? I don't see anything on their blog and I didn't get an email.

    ReplyDelete
  132. 9:50, the MFT sale info came in an email from Splitcoaststampers. I still frequent that website and try to purchase through the links on the website.

    ReplyDelete
  133. why am I a bitch for saying deal with it? I meant if you are international, you may continue to buy. Or not. That's dealing with it.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Tried to use the coupon code and it wouldn't take. There was an error message about being expired or having reached it's usage limit.

    ReplyDelete
  135. I'm 9:50 and I couldn't get the MFT code to work either. Too bad .... it would have been a great deal.

    ReplyDelete
  136. As usual, Verve totally rocks. Ordered on Friday, received on Monday.

    ReplyDelete
  137. MFT coupon code (NOV2012) works; it just doesn't apply to "Brand Spankin' New" products.

    ReplyDelete
  138. OK, that was my problem. Everything in my cart was new stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  139. 11.49 you should work for PTI. You would fit in perfectly!

    ReplyDelete
  140. I'm 11:49. Educate me. Seriously, I'm insulted that you would say that I would fit in with PTI.

If I were running PTI I'd have reasonable shipping prices to Canada and other countries. I wouldn't write off the 8% of international customers. But, really, if a company has crazy shipping prices, what are you going to do other than deal with it??????????

Tell me what you are doing that is different than me???? So quit attacking me as I suspect that i am way smarter than you.

    ReplyDelete
  141. PTI order arrived at 9:30 AM this morning on west coast.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Release night order, 19:52?

I'm impressed if so! Back when I was ordering, PTI orders took at least 10 days to arrive in California. My last order took 20 something days, which is why it was my last order.

    ReplyDelete
  143. I have to say that I have been considering breaking my very long purchasing hiatus and have been trying to put together an order. I was waiting on the Peaceful Pinecones set to come back in stock, and it did within an actually reasonable time frame. Unfortunately, the freaking dies are out of stock right now. I'll place an order if they come back in stock in the next few days....

In any case, it's good to see that their stock issues seem to be improving some.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Yes, it was my release order that arrived early today. I have made 11 sweaters, some with vests and others with belts and lace and ----so fun!

    ReplyDelete
  145. Is there an Impress discount code for this week?

I need to buy some ink for a gift.

    ReplyDelete
  146. I think these days the PTI orders move quicker if you order current items. I think the order is slowed down when you order things from a few years back. I dont think their warehouse situation is a real warehouse setting and older items might not be easy to access. That is just my thought

With that said - why dont they have a sale like everyone else and discontinue and thin out inventorry. It would even clean the website store up to get rid of some of the items

    ReplyDelete
  147. PTI, clean up your website. You have Nestabilities listed that you no longer carry. Another whole page dedicated to Prima flowers that are all out of stock. Punches, Palette inks, the list is long.

I only know is because I was looking for the Marvy snowflake punches and I remembered PTI used to carry them. And to take a break from cleaning!

    ReplyDelete
  148. I have a better idea. PTI, do what you want. You want outdated stock on your website? That's your business. Literally.

Don't let a bunch of cyber goons harass you into becoming a better company

    ReplyDelete
  149. Lol!! I love it!!
Dont increase your revenue by offering different and better shipping options to internationals!!

    ReplyDelete
  150. stand firm PTI!!!!! Do not get nice. Keep up the wacky website not designed by anyone we know. We love you as is. Sincerely, former customer

    ReplyDelete
  151. Anyone know if SSS usually has a Black Friday sale? Am international & wanting to place an order. Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  152. I don't think so
I ordered some stuff from them last year Black Friday, mostly MFT stuff
Like 10 seconds later I got an email fom MFT announcing their 20% off
Emailed SSS to see if they would honour it and they never got back to me ( except to tell me that I could not cancel my order without paying a restocking fee)

    ReplyDelete
  153. It has taken SSS two weeks to ship my order and seeing how it usually takes three weeks for my orders to arrive I will have new stamps to use for NEXT Christmas. Shazbat.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Underground rumors are that PTI will be having a big sale on Friday to be announced on Nichole's Blog.

    ReplyDelete
  155. Well, since the only sale they've ever had was a whopping 5% discount, I guess it won't take much to be considered a big sale by their standards.

    ReplyDelete
  156. I suggest PTI work their butts off to get release orders out if they think they are going to be flooded with orders from any kind of sale. Or they are digging a hole to fall in again.

Please note I said. "If they think"

    ReplyDelete
  157. All of the release orders have shipped

    ReplyDelete
  158. Hi Carol! Are you an order filler for PTI? Please share details

    ReplyDelete
  159. Not true - I ordered the day after the release, and it is showing up as "electronic shipping information received."

    ReplyDelete
  160. so let's recap. someone named carol says all orders have shipped. someone anonymous claims her order has not shipped. but she or he is going by the information on the famously effed up website that he whose name i'm not going to mention didnt create but somehow is responsible for fixing.

does anyone else think that PTI should become a tv reality show? love this blog and am thankful that PTI went into business, messed up so badly that some lass from across the sea went ballistic which gave birth to this smack blog.

    um, i need a donut.

    ReplyDelete
  161. And there is a good chance order filling is closed for the holiday at this point.

There just isnt alot of emphasis on sending the product out once the money is in their hands

    ReplyDelete
  162. guess what? if you choose to put money in PTI's hands and know enough about PTI to read this blog, then shut up already.

and have a happy thanksgiving, unless you are outside the usa.

    ReplyDelete
  163. But then what would you do for entertainment almighty hand smacker?

    ReplyDelete
  164. so true so true. i love when it is hand slapping when you don't like the post, but smacking when you do.

    the logic of morons

    ReplyDelete
  165. If they were to dO some kind of a sale I would be really surprised.
It would lend credence to the rumor they are in some sort of financial crisis, as they have been so adamant about no sales in the past
Maybe they are putting older stock in sale-hence Erin's post last week about if you had $100 to spend but it had to be on stuff released prior to 2010

    ReplyDelete
  166. What I dont understand about the smackers is one minute everyone is concealing customer service issues but then if you say something about an issue you get told to shut up

    ReplyDelete
  167. Anyone know if Impress having a black friday or cyber monday sale?

    ReplyDelete
  168. No, smackers only have an issue if you complain whilst knowing you are taking a gamble while ordering

    ReplyDelete
  169. ....it's okay if you've heard of somebody else that is having a cs problem though. LOL! You will however get handslapped if you knowingly order and post about it here. That's just my opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  170. SSS is having a blackfriday sale 35% off selected stuff

    ReplyDelete
  171. 0742. thanks for the chuckle. Maybe someone should post rules of posting

I am thinking that they dont realize if people stop complaining this blog will cease to exist

    ReplyDelete
  172. this blog pretty much already ceases to exist. there's nothing left to say about pti that hasn't already been said.

    1. they suck and I don't buy
    2. i'm willing to put up with the part that sucks and i still buy
    3. they don't suck and I buy
    4. they dont' suck and I don't buy
    5. jessica will leave
    6. there's a sale on friday
    7. rick thinks the owners are brilliant
    8. rick owes me $1000
    9. weird language and spelling with an even weirder grammar police person

    am I missing anything?

    ReplyDelete
  173. 10:47, that was my laugh for the day! Thanks for that!
    :-)

    ReplyDelete
  174. 0742. So I should have said "a friend of my Sister's Neighbor's Aunt's cousin unknowingly ordered from PTI and is having a problem receiving her order". No handslapping then?

    ReplyDelete
  175. Market Street Stamps sale, 22% off with coupon code "TURKEY." Good between 11/22/12 and 11/26/12.

    Happy shopping! =)

    ReplyDelete
  176. Avery Elle Sale, Nov. 22 & 23.

    $5 off $30 with code "THANKFUL5"
    $10 off $40 with code "THANKFUL10"
    $15 off $50 with code "THANKFUL15"

And . . . receive 5 free yards of ribbon with any card stock purchase. Do not enter ribbon in your card; just enter color choice in comment section.

    ENJOY!

    ReplyDelete
  177. Add Flourishes, Verve, and almost every other company to the list. i have had 11 emails today from companies like these and Stamper's Best and Sassy Stamps and others.

The thing I noticed is that last year they gave 20-30% off everything. This year almost every company has limited to ribbon, or wood stamps, or something and you cannot get that on everything on the site.

    ReplyDelete
  178. Need some help smackers! I am looking for a die(I think), that is a round Christmas ornament. The hanger is a separate piece. I have seen some chipboard pieces cut from this die and I want it.. Any clue who makes it??

    ReplyDelete
  179. impress makes one

    ReplyDelete
  180. Ellen Hutson--20% off everything except Copics. Someone finally comes through!

    ReplyDelete
  181. Memory Box also makes a nice one with the individual parts.

    ReplyDelete
  182. i'm sorry, Impress doesn't make an ornament die that I know of, I meant to say Memory Box

    ReplyDelete
  183. I forgot to say the ornament die I am looking for is over 3". I appreciate the help...Happy Turkey Day, Smackers!

    ReplyDelete
  184. MFT also makes an ornament die set..hanger is a different piece

    ReplyDelete
  185. Ellen 20% sale is only for 6 hours Friday (beginning at 3am eastern).

    ReplyDelete
  186. ^^ oops. Meant 9 hrs. 15% off after that...

    ReplyDelete
  187. 17:40, market street and Avery Elle sales include all items.

    ReplyDelete
  188. Nope, Avery Elle is only for stamps.

    ReplyDelete
  189. 0742. So I should have said "a friend of my Sister's Neighbor's Aunt's cousin unknowingly ordered from PTI and is having a problem receiving her order". No handslapping then?

Yes.... but it was a joke. :-p

    ReplyDelete
  190. ^^^^oh I knew was a joke! I was thinking the same as you

    ReplyDelete
  191. So where is sausage fingers big announcement about a sale?

    ReplyDelete
  192. Ashley has a gorgeous card today.

    ReplyDelete
  193. She will announce it as soon as Rick pays out the $1000.

    ReplyDelete
  194. There had better be a sale if Ashley is hinting at one. If not, I would be pissed if I was Nichole.

    ReplyDelete
  195. Sure, I am going to pay $250 for a Cuttlebug

    http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/buy-sell-f116/sell-cuttle-bug-extras-t564762.html

    ReplyDelete
  196. I would pay $15 for this stamp but not $4.50 for shipping.
