  1. second! with nothing to add :)

  2. I am not ordering but I filled my cart because I was wondering about inventory amounts. Some items are kind of low, I don't think they ordered/stocked as much. I found that interesting...

    ReplyDelete
  3. ^^^Maybe they're trying to induce buyer's panic.

    ReplyDelete
  4. I think they are planning to ditch the company after October and are only putting out enough to make it look like they are going to keep going so consumers don't become suspicious.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Another month of not ordering for me! I'm saving so much money! By my calcuculations, PTI has lost over $1,000 from me....so far. It may not sound like a lot, but it adds up!

    ReplyDelete
  6. I would also estimate I have not given PTI around $1000 that normally I would have spent with them. Instead, Ellen Hutson, Impress, Lawn Fawn, and MFT have collected my bucks.

    ReplyDelete
  7. 19:55 I hope not. Where do you get your news? You realize people like me might panic buy right? Wink.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Count me as another whose spending with PTI this year is down by at least $1000. That's gotta hurt.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I have several friends who were big, really big PTI spenders who quit buying from them around March.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Craft spending down but PTI is still getting the most of my $$$.

    ReplyDelete

  11. Me too - another person who would have spent $600 more this year and hasn't.

Today, in honour of PTI's release, I spent $100 at my local stamp store.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I'm hopeful Impress might have a Labor Day sale in a couple weeks. That would be perfect for me to place a nice sized ink order.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I haven't ordered from PTI in almost a year, and I was always good for $200 - $300 a month.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I was trying to do the inventory check thing and I think they sold a lot today. I know, it used to be sold out before, on release night. How much qty do you think they order when they restock items? Leaf print is down to 18.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Day #3 of still not being able to get into the forum. Why don't they bother to fix it? I KNOW Rick reads here. Mac OS using Safari, but other browsers don't work either. Can get as far as clicking on "Customer Forum" and then it won't load from there. No trouble with any other site at all.

    ReplyDelete
  16. How do you know how much is in stock? Does it say some where on the website?

    ReplyDelete
  17. I was able to get into the forum with no trouble at all.. It's pretty quiet though.

21:37 choose 1 item, add it to your cart, change qty to say 1,000 and then the remaining stock will appear. That's provided they don't have 1,000 in stock. Am I making sense?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Pumpkin die, the one with the face is sold out...

    ReplyDelete
  19. Another $1000 dollar a year customer here that has spent elsewhere. It may seem like a lot just from this smack blog, but I cringe when I think about all the noobs taking our place, filling the PTI coffers. I don't think they feel it at all.
Besides, there are still too many smackers forking over their wallets.

    ReplyDelete
  20. 21:37 you can check stock by adding an item to your cart and changing the quantity to a high number like 800 and it will show you the actual amount

    ReplyDelete
  21. I'm curious about the Pumpkin die. Did PTI begin with the regular stock amount?

    ReplyDelete
  22. estimate the PTI has lost $5000 in sales from me starting last summer. I will happily buy again when I can be confident that a defective product will be handled in a manner that meets my needs. I don't want to beg, wait, whine and justify myself. I do not want to be treated like a thief. You want my money, you treat me like an honest adult and i'll treat you like an honest company.

Rick, can you elaborate on your 3 brilliant businesswomen comment -- I assume you meant that they are making a ton of money? how is it working out for them now?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Curious too 5:13. The other pumpkin die has around100-150 left I think.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Oops make that 91 pumpkin dies left.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I can log on into forum okay - can you get onto zen desk?

    ReplyDelete
  26. As of 9am EST:
    Happy Haunting: 200
    Thanks all ways: 475
    Tremendous Treats Halloween: 611
    Autumn Hills: 255
    Teach & Inspire: 338
    Sunflower Bouquet: 365
    BB Herringbone: 223
    Foodie Fun: 271
    Mr. Bones: 222

No idea what the starting numbers were though.... Those numbers seem high to me. Nothing even close to selling out.

    ReplyDelete
  27. If Leigh isn't gunning for a DT position, I'm not in my right mind! ;) She's posting inane questions, helping people find products in the {still} messed up store, and when you hit new posts her name pops up on the screen like a winning round at a slot machine.

    ReplyDelete
  28. So maile on the SC team...good for her
maille treats the hobby more like a job-she really works on submitting cards more than her blog and I'm sure there was a monetary drAw to designing stamps. I'm also thinking that the money making aspect of the SC DT- you get $$ if ppl follow the links from your blog- was the reason she added anOther DT to her resume when she had done only PTI for so long

    ReplyDelete
  29. Silhouettes free download this week is file folders!!
    No need for PTI dies!

    ReplyDelete
  30. 6:44 My guess is you are not in your right mind. Stop the Leigh bashing. Let her enjoy her craft.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I happen to like Leigh and think she is one of the few truly genuine and nice posters over there. That should say a lot coming from me, because at times, I can be a biatch. But I own it.

    ReplyDelete
  32. What a PTI release party...41 posts! Karma Baby!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Turns out everyone was shopping instead.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I checked the stock last night. I don't think they ordered as much, maybe cutting back? TT Halloween had a lot of inventory last night (650ish) and it still does this morning. The pumpkin die had 120 last night and it is sold out today.

    ReplyDelete
  35. 611 TT: Halloween sets left? Would love to know what they were thinking. Can't bank on the total sales for the other tremendous treats. Many of those past customers wouldn't throw a plug nickel at this company.

    ReplyDelete
  36. 7:40 - doesn't appear they were all shopping!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I'm with a lot of you here, previous years I spent 800 - 1,200 dollars per year without even blinking an eye. Last year, I spent <$200 total, and so far this year it's <$100, I've ordered once.

You have to think they are seriously hurting in cashflow.

The lack of release party posts is surely telling. I remember when there was so much buzz in there, so much anticipation, and we were all ready to open our wallets and throw cash at them.

Now even if some people are buying a little here and there, they aren't posting wish lists on the forum, they aren't helping create the buzz in the release party threads, and you KNOW that those threads USED to drum up even more business as people would hear everyone else talking about what they would be buying, and add things to their own wishlists.

The lack of talk in those threads is ABSOLUTELY costing PTI money.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Yes Dawn, I have PCB (the Post Countdown Blues!).

I would like to fill your inspiration post with pictures of stamps from other companies. The ones that don't treat their customers like crap.

    ReplyDelete
  39. They probably attribute it to a "bad economy" versus the reality of craptastically poor customer service. They won't see any slowdown or cutbacks in spending as being a direct result of anything they've done. Which means, we'll see NO lasting positive changes in the future other than the superficial (can anyone say DT cheerleaders in the hause?).

    ReplyDelete
  40. I would bet anything that Julie sees nothing wrong with the way that she answers customers. She probably just thinks that she is misunderstood.

    ReplyDelete
  41. She should lose phrases like "nobody in their right mind" and "never in a million years". That would be a good start.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I may have missed something but this is from the cs forum:

"Mixed Messages - We are currently working on this set so that it can be manufactured. It is very small and detailed and we want to ensure the highest quality."

SO everyone who has bought it in the past got less than the highest quality?

Anyone still ordering from PTI: Do they still have that inane little card that says how happy they are to exceed expectations?? Joke.

    ReplyDelete
  43. 07:07 - 'not in your right mind' ... has Julie made it to the smack blog?!?

I think Leigh needs PTI for whatever reason. I feel more sorry for her than irritated.

Another major buyer here who hasn't earned enough points for an anniversary set with this year's spending. Previously I would be on my second or third by now.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I guess Dawn will just keep answering her own post.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I bet PTI has a cash flow problem. After the years of making money hand over fist, I bet little of it was put into growing the business. (ie: computer systems, personnel, quality control, or inventory levels.) The money was more likely spent in "fun" ways. Now they are limping along without the money to fix their own problems. Not that they care to fix their problems. It is like a case study of a great idea and bad business acumen.

    ReplyDelete
  46. oh sure. Leigh is troubled because she "needs" PTI. and what do we call people who are so obsessed with a company that they DON'T BUY FROM that they nevertheless take the time to visit the company's website, blogs, forum and smack blog.

    obsessed, eh?

    ReplyDelete
  47. Silhouettes free download this week is file folders!!
    No need for PTI dies!
    --------
I got those last night! I love how they can be little pockets. If I can figure out hiw to erase lines I'd like to erase the tabs so they can be just folders too.

    ReplyDelete
  48. 10:07 - PTI is the equivalent to the Anna Nichole Smith show. It was such a train wreck I couldn't stop watching. PTI is such a joke, I can't stop watching. It's called entertainment.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I also say give Leigh a break. I used to post a lot on another stamping forum when I was in a lonley place. No agenda, just liked connecting with others who shared the same interests.

    ReplyDelete
  50. 10:11>>>That's a good way to say it! Why else are we as a nation so interested in all the reality shows about other people's lives who have no effect on us personally? We have a strange voyeuristic interest in other people's lives and the more disaster the better!

    ReplyDelete
  51. fine, be a voyeur, but stay away from causing collateral damage. and no, a customer doesn't "subject" herself to negative commentary simply because she posts on the internet. sick of that rationale. you are worse than my daughters and their friends.

    no wonder.......ug.......nevermind

    ReplyDelete
  52. Hey PTi used to be my outlet too
I posted in the forum alot. I didn't have an IRL crafting buddy or anyone that 'got' why I did or the fun of ordering
I also made some great Internet friends on the forum
Before I was soured I loved the forum so no judging here

    ReplyDelete
  53. So do PTI customers still earn free anniversary sets in addition to the rewards dollars?

    ReplyDelete
  54. I hardly ever say "thanks" when I send a card. I would rather have a sentiment stamp that said "thank you". I felt the same way about the "congrats" set. Both just feel too informal.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Only sold 8 of the foodie stamp set since early this morning. I would say sales are way down.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Or the set is way ugly. The images would've been better as line art and the sentiments are lame. And the term "foodie" is on its way out. Thankfully. At least in big cities.

      Delete
  56. No customers do not earn anniversary sets. They can buy them with their reward dollars but they don't get both.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I agree about the personal smack but that's just me.

    ReplyDelete
  58. 10:07+34, go smell a rose.

What do you say to people who love a company, buy from it repeatedly and then sit and watch silently when a fellow forum member is crying over how that company is treating her and the treatment is dishonest. Go review Monday.

Your moralizing when you're anonymous is annoying. Try doing something that takes some moral character when you have your face on.

Like standing up on the forum.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Thanks, 10:41. I'm debating whether to get the Pretty Peonies set (in the off chance I will eventually like it) or just spend my rewards points on other stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  60. 10:34 - Yeah, go ahead and say smackers are "bullies". When you use a too often and in the wrong context, the word loses its value.

You WILL NOT change anyones minds here, you just reinforce why we are here.

You are making an ass of yourself defending PTI.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I'm afraid to order another Impression Plate after the Sunrise IP fiasco. (Yes, I was one of the customers who received a defective plate and was offered a nice, warm cup of piss from Julie.)

I know the older IPs were thicker. Wonder if the stock replacements for those older IPs (e.g. linen & canvas IP) also have less metal?

    ReplyDelete
  62. So, Heather's Framed Out #7 set is essentially a scaled down version of the fillable frames #4 shape cut out of the center of the limitless layers oval.

Yeah, I can do that myself.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I'm not defending PTI, but a member of the forum. Big difference. And I didn't use the word bullies, you did. Hmm?

    ReplyDelete
  64. I do not consider Leigh to be "just one of the gals" on the forum. Just look at the backhanded slap she gave other customers who were having problems with the Sunrise IP. She started a freakin' thread called beginner mistakes and talked about IPs that were destroyed due to user error. Leigh's post immediately followed the postings about PTI's piss poor, "blame the customer" response to the Sunrise IP issue.

Was the timing and content of Leigh's post merely a coincidence? Possible, yes. Probable, doubt it. To quote our dear Trell, that was a "biatch" move Leigh.

    ReplyDelete
  65. ^ 11:03 - I wouldn't order a new IP until I know the manufacture (& PTI) aren't skimping on materials. Even restocked make me wary if they're cutting corners. Wait a couple weeks and hear the "my herringbone IP sucks" cries. Who'll be brave enough to post "Fools, don't you ever learn?"

    ReplyDelete
  66. 11:31 here. I want to correct the statement at the end of my post. Trell did not call Leigh a "biatch." I did. He used the term earlier (referring to himself) and I was just following.

    Personally, I prefer "beeotch." ;)

    ReplyDelete
  67. And too whomever was defending Leigh the other day and saying obviously she doesn't have any crafty friends IRL, that is completely untrue if you look at her recent birthday blog post. She has plenty of crafty friends IRL.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I wondered if there was a problem with the inks. I stamped up a reference card with the new ink colours i've purchased and Raspberry Fizz has faded to almost Sweet Blush after a couple of months, and it wasn't in sunlight etc.

    Poxy inks....

    ReplyDelete
  69. I can't decide if Leigh is gunning for DT position or if, perhaps, she is actually being paid to start threads and monitor the forum. We'll see what happens when she goes back to school and if she is on as much. Many of her questions sound too much like "conversation starters". I used to work for a company that required such and it is obvious. Just like the DTs threads are obvious. The threads, for the most part, don't ring true. Another thing that makes me go "hmmmm" is that she is posting while on holiday.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Is there a prob with the inks? Hell yeah! That's the reason Nichole gave for numerous colors not being restocked in time for release. Included spring moss, pure poppy, and a bunch of others. She said it was "consistency of color between batches". Guess splotchiness is acceptable.

    ReplyDelete
  71. What is an acceptable amount of time to wait for a zendesk response? I got the email saying that my ticket was received.

    ReplyDelete
  72. 12:23, acceptable to you or to Papertrey? I'm not being snarky, but the two aren't usually the same thing.

For Papertrey 3 working days is considered O.K. For me, when a company doesn't have a telephone # for CS, reasonable is a max of 24hours.

    ReplyDelete
  73. You have got to be kidding me!!! $80 for the Sweet Life and Dies?? some people have more money than sense.

    16 August 2012 10:07

Of course they spent it in "fun" ways - didn't you see the house NH built? That was all thanks to PTI's paying customers...I'm sure Jane and Julie have had loads of fun with their share of the coffers - b/c spending it on "useful" things like servers and more packers, customer service reps etc would just be stupid. Never in a million years would a REAL business do something like that.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Nichole, you have assembled and incredibly talented Design Team. All of your countdown posts have us drooling and drooling over your creativity and imagination. WE count down the minutes until the new release items are available for sale. Then, we rush to fill our carts....

    Speak for yourself

Now, I have an idea. I think you should assemble PTI Fairies! :turtle As soon as we submit our orders, these fairies could pull our orders and immediately bring them to our front door!
    Is this a dream?

    YES, it is a dream.

This post is just begging for smack, sorry.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Hmm, she's selling all her PTI stamps.

Looks like she's starting up her own stamp company 'Clearly Besotted' interesting to see what she comes up with.

    http://stampingsharing.blogspot.co.uk/

    ReplyDelete
  78. I KNOW the sales are down because I am an avid follower of hundreds of blogs which used to be mainly PTI and now I rarely see a PTI blog post except from the dt and a few diehards.

    ReplyDelete
  79. ^^^Where do you see that she is selling her stamps? Did I miss something?

    ReplyDelete
  80. If I had the guts I would post:

Nichole, I would love to purchase _____ impression plate but I want to know if it is to be used as a die or an impression plate and I also want to know if this particular impression plate will press one side through to the other side as a part of expected normal use.

    ReplyDelete
  81. 15:49, it may just have been a slow time, but I checked the SplitCoast gallery using papertrey as a keyword 3 days apart and NOTHING new had been added to it at all.

    ReplyDelete
  82. 15:50 again, don't worry, I figured out she's doing it on eBay (and making a mint!)she's the seller mentioned in a post earlier today.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Condensed Avery Elle review.

Only four days and $1.95 to get from California to Virginia.

Safely packed in a padded envelope and multiple sets were bound with colorful twine.

**REAL** handwritten note from Jamie, the owner.

Free (and cute!) little "thanks" sentiment stamp included.

    Total awesomeness.

    ReplyDelete
  84. 2 days to get my Avery order and I am totally thrilled with the 2 sets I got.

    ReplyDelete
  85. I've been waiting 4 days for a reply from zendesk.

    ReplyDelete
  86. I've been waiting 3 - I guess I'll wait a bit longer.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Where was it mentioned that the new formula ink is being tested for problems? There is a new "ink problem" thread on the forum.

    http://forum.papertreyink.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=37794

    ReplyDelete
  88. There is no need to change the ink formula, they should just change the name. They could call it "kind of looks like that color" or "close enough".

    ReplyDelete
  89. From the Release Night Inventory thread (started by NH in the Stamp Release subforum)

    http://forum.papertreyink.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=149&t=37729

    INK
Spring Moss, Sweet Blush, Raspberry Fizz and Pure Poppy (including cubes, full-size pads & refills) - We are not sure when these inks will be available. These colors are being reviewed by the manufacturer as there have been a few inconsistencies between batches. We will update you as more information becomes available.
Berry Sorbet and Smokey Shadow - We expect to have these colors in approximately 3 weeks.
We will no longer be carrying the Charcoal Palette Ink Pad.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Maybe Nichole should have put up an announcement somewhere other than a little sub-forum that not everybody visits. Sheesh. How many different places can Papertrey hide information?

    ReplyDelete
  91. Well the author of the thread looks like a sweet gal, I feel sorry for her. Her plea for help will be ignored, locked and removed.

Then she can go and wait in line with the rest of the above posters at Zendesk, before she's told that she doesn't have a problem.

    Aaaah. The PTI life.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Best part ... a new thread about the SC ink changing color in the pad aver time.

Seems they rushed this formulation and didn't think to test stability. Sounds like the Hawaiian Shores debacle where customers were expected to smoosh the pad with a spoon to remix the color before using it.

    ReplyDelete
  93. She should send the ink back to Julie at her own expense so that Julie can tell her that there's nothing wrong and mail it back.

    ReplyDelete
  94. from the forum -

Topic: Simply Chartreuse Ink color off

I've been using the new Simply Chartreuse Ink for awhile now. The colors just looks off to me. It has a yellow tint to it and it get worse as the ink dries. I pulled out my old formula ink pad and used it today, and got a perfect match to my paper. Is anyone else having this issue?

    ReplyDelete
  95. I would post the link to Nichole's hidden post and suggest that she contact zendesk but I am just a trouble maker and it wouldn't be taken well. Poor gal.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Damn, still cannot see the forum!!! Rick, get on the ball.

    ********************************
I say the stock replacements are of inferior quality. I purchased a sunshine impression plate approximately 3 months ago. I ran it through my Cuttlebug with the EXACT sandwich as my older plates. I got an uneven impression and the plate had several dents in it. NOT the same quality as older plates, NO.WAY.

    ReplyDelete
  98. I cannot see the forum either.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Just went through the 207 Google Reader posts that were waiting for me. Only 2 of the posts used PTI stamps or dies. Used to be there would have been 50-60 in that same lot of blogs.

    ReplyDelete
  100. I'm sure some bloggers refuse to blog cards featuring PTI stamps as a form of boycot. Why give free publicity to a company that craps on customers once they've pocketed their hard earned money.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Some bloggers are boycotting but just as many still use Papertrey stamps. I am surprised at how many design team members for other companies still own and use so many current stamps. I judge people based on how new the stamps are. If they are from the past few months and they are still buying, I lose a little bit of respect for them.

    ReplyDelete
  102. The forum is down for me too.

    ReplyDelete
  103. I know a couple of very active bloggers that used to feature PTI stamps. Neither of them do now.

To Trell and the others that suggested waxy twine, I found some at M's today and it is exactly what I was looking for. I didn't know this existed and wouldn't have found it on my own (I don't go into the bead section), so thanks to all of you!!!

    ReplyDelete

  104. Forum down for me too. I tried to respond to the SC thread and it went off.

    ReplyDelete
  105. the forum is working fine for me.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Where can you find the free silhouette folder file? Link please?

If a stamper/ blogger want to use PTI stamps, I don't take it against them. If they find pleasure or happiness creating with the products then I am very happy for them because that's what this hobby means to me.. To make me happy, to create. I find their PTI creations to be beautiful, inspiring and case-worthy.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Never mind found the file.

    ReplyDelete
  108. For those of you that can still access the forum, has anyone answered that poor girl about the ink yet?

    ReplyDelete
  109. Was that about the simply chartreuse ink? If yes, no one answered her yet, maybe she got pm's instead? 108 views though.

    ReplyDelete

  110. I like Leigh. I think she was trying to help in that rookie mistakes thread. There were some people posting on the Sunrise IP problm thread that they used cutting mats, no embossing mats, ... I bet she thought she was helping some people who obviously did not know how to use IPs. She strikes me as a honest good person. So she thought she was helping everyone - those who were clueless about using IPs and PTI who was getting blamed for [a small fraction of users] who didn't know what they were doing with the IPs.

    ReplyDelete
  111. I agree with you about Leigh but she started the thread about beginner mistakes. It came across as finger pointing.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Why can't I see the forum?

    ReplyDelete
  113. I'm so irritated with every unicorn on that forum that won't touch that ink thread - so they aren't seen as a stirrer/hater.

They'll watch someone elses problem getting deleted, the poster getting handslapped, swallow it all and then come over here and tell us to back off too.

Amazing. No doubt they think they're the kind ones.

I used to feel bad about hanging around the smack blog, but for the most part I have more respect for an honest smacker than for a silent unicorn.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Well, so many of us here cannot get to the forum, much less post on that thread. Hmmmm, maybe they did it on purpose.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Is it just unicorns who can post on the forum? No smacker helping her out yet? Maybe she received pms instead?

    ReplyDelete
  116. Ok 2 people responded to her.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Haven't been on the forum in ages. Got in no problem.

    ReplyDelete
  118. I wouldn't mind helping out, if I had something conducive to add, but I don't have the PTI inks.

Usually, I am a pretty good judge of people (For example, I couldn't stand Bieber when he came out, and what do you know, he turned out to be an obnoxious little shit . . . ) and I just don't think Leigh is a bad person.

I think most of the regulars left are pretty nice folks. There is only one that I think of as a complete ass kisser.

  121. omg I have nothing against religion, Christians etc but the bible bashers are out in force this morning!

    ReplyDelete
  122. Bible bashers?

    ReplyDelete
  123. Ted and a couple of others preaching and quoting the bible

How did you do this? It would be great for any links I provide, its a pain when trying to copy and paste on smart phone.

    Thanks in advance.

  125. From Rick on zendesk-

Spoke with our ISP this morning and apparently there have been SPAM / Abuse reports filed against us, which added our forum domain / IP to a "blacklist". This means that certain ISP's will block our Forum IP address from connecting to computers on their networks.

Not sure what we can do about this...I will let you know if there is a change that you can make on your end to allow the connection. No idea why anyone would go to those lengths to try and keep others from enjoying the forum..

    ReplyDelete
  126. "No idea why anyone would go to those lengths to try and keep others from enjoying the forum.."

HAH!! Now that is a little gem if I ever heard one. Poor, poor Rick.

    ReplyDelete
  127. PTI will have to appeal to the blacklister to remove them. Many, many people can no longer see the forum OR get to zendesk to tell them.

    ReplyDelete
  128. no trouble getting to zendesk. still cannot get to the forum.

    ReplyDelete
  129. I guess the smack blog will be my only source for Papertrey information then.

    ReplyDelete
  130. So why can some people access the forum and not others? Is it their internet providers that set the security?

    ReplyDelete
  131. I lol'd at that one too. Um yeah Rick, the bad guys don't want you to have fun...haha....@@

    ReplyDelete
  132. Hahahahahaha, Rick. This isn't a conspiracy of PTI smackers.

One of our servers at work got blacklisted last week. Our IT guys were able to get it fixed and off the blacklist.

    ReplyDelete
  133. I feel bad for the forum members who have listings on the FS/Trade board and they cannot get to them.

    ReplyDelete
  134. "One of our servers at work got blacklisted last week. Our IT guys were able to get it fixed and off the blacklist."

So what did they do to fix it?

    ReplyDelete
  135. When or how often is there a WMS release?

    ReplyDelete
  136. Blacklisting is EASILY fixed if you know what to do. Wanna bet PTI doesn't have a clue?

    ReplyDelete
  137. How would a worker know what IT guys do to fix things?

    ReplyDelete
  138. I have no clue how our IT guys fixed it. But good IT guys know how to do such things. When they try to explain it to me, my eyes glaze over and roll back into my head. Seriously.

    ReplyDelete
  139. So where are all those awesome website changes we were told about 2 WEEKS ago? Do the people that work for PTI know that hole in their ass needs to be wiped after they take a shit? Stupidest people ever! Don't trip over that bar you've all set!

    ReplyDelete
  140. OH, but remember. PTI is a new company, a small company. We must be patient for a few more decades until they get their act together. Years of ineptness should be forgiven you know. WE, the consumers are just impatient, rude, people who misuse the products and whine all the time about the defective items.

    ReplyDelete
  141. I'm pretty sure the person who said "Bible bashers" meant Bible Thumpers :).

    ReplyDelete
  142. I was the poster who made the comment about Leigh gunning for a DT position. After reading people's responses, and getting over the bad day I was having :o)I just want to say I agree with a lot of you here and I feel bad that I said that. I certainly don't know her at all and she does seem to be sincere in her desire to help people. And since there aren't many people at PTI whose "HTH" seems sincere, I applaud Leigh. Sorry for smacking a person - I'll stick to company smaking from now on. :) Have a good weekend smackers!

    ReplyDelete
  143. That was a classy apology!

    ReplyDelete
  144. To 7:26 (7:28 too?) , your comments made me cringe because they sounded so hateful.

    ReplyDelete
  145. 07:33 - I have to agree with 35,
and hope your weekend is a good one too!

  148. Is it just me, or did PTI remove the option to log into the forum as "Hidden"? I logged on yesterday and didn't have the button anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  149. 09:36 - not just you.

    ReplyDelete
  150. 07:46, i agree that 26 sounded OTT, but 28 sounded like someone who has been frustrated past endurance.

although you may not like the method of delivery, what she said fits pretty well with my PTI experience.

so convenient to coin the term hateful than deal with what is being said.

    ReplyDelete
  151. None of us HAVE to deal with PTI. So saying hateful things about a company we no longer do business with is just hate.

    ReplyDelete
  152. 7:26 was classless, but so true about the bar being set low.

But oh the sarcasm of 7:28 was spot on.

I didn't see "hateful" in either one. Maybe that speaks to your personality more than theirs.

I agree - classy apology. It takes a big person to reverse their opinion and admit it was influenced by their day. Although I do think Leigh is over the top and cloying.. rubs me the wrong way personally... I also don't know her situation, her day(s) or her frame of reference, so live & let live.

Sometimes I can log on as "hidden" over there and sometimes I can't. Don't go there enough to worry about it but you're not alone.

    ReplyDelete
  153. The girl who posted about anxiety on the forum also mentioned that she is praying and reading her Bible. So, to call Ted a "Bible Thumper" just because he is responding to her in a way to help bolster her faith is a little harsh, IMO. His response was just as appropriate as the response of the poster who suggested if the anxiety continues that she see a doctor.

    ReplyDelete
  154. To log in as hidden, don't enter your password on the first page (landing page). It will redirect you to a second page which has the hidden login option.

  155. 10:01, you're saying that it doesn't matter if a company is crooked, if you don't do business with them any more just forget about it - and let them carry on.

    No moral spine eh?

    ReplyDelete
  156. No. It's just none of my fucking business any more. There are bigger, more important fish to fry out there.

    ReplyDelete
  157. We don't have to do business with PTI but we can discuss their shortcomings in a respectful way. I found the butt wiping comment to be distasteful but that's just me. I also don't find it necessary to drop the f bomb in order to get a point across.

    ReplyDelete
  158. 7:30 she probably didn't know the difference.

    ReplyDelete
  159. I worked for a company whose motto was "Under-promise, over-deliver." PTI's actions are exact opposite. They make sweeping promises too early (paint, website, rewards points, etc) and either fail to deliver or fall short in customer expectations.

    ReplyDelete
  160. 7:26 You have set the bar pretty low for yourself. Don't trip on it.

    ReplyDelete
  161. For those who prefer not to buy from PTI, and like their "thank you all ways" set, Technique Tuesday has a very similar set on sale over at Ellen Hutson's (under NEW CHA 2012 heading). FYI

    ReplyDelete
  162. Thanks for the TT suggestion, off to look!

Does anyone have a leaf die suggestion? I like PTI's original TANL stamps, but don't like the dies. Anything similar that I've missed?

    TIA!

    ReplyDelete
  163. 0726. You lack credibility and you must not have any creative/artistic ability to have such a vile contempt for any living being

Take your tongue to the local bar

    ReplyDelete
  164. I think TAylored expressions has a similar leaf type die

    ReplyDelete
  165. 12:12 - thanks! I haven't looked there!

    ReplyDelete
  166. Opinions are just opinions whether they are said with an f-bomb or not. It's your personal preference in how you take it.

    ReplyDelete
  167. LOL at all the puritans who succumb to the vapors upon reading the word 'fuck' on a smack blog. Should we get PTI Smacker III to post a page with an image of smelling salts?

    ReplyDelete
  168. I appreciate this blog for the real issues that have been brought to light and some of the resulting changes. I don't know if I will ever order again though.

Having said that, when a post here comes across as hateful (IMO) or people just swear for the sake of swearing, I don't have a problem with saying that I don't like it. I feel that there is a difference between swearing and saying "the people that work for PTI know that hole in their ass needs to be wiped after they take a shit? Stupidest people ever!". It's all about the context.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Well, quite frankly, PTI is not coming across as the "three brilliant businesswomen" they were touted as. Pretty much every decision the make should be in the handbook under how not to run a business. So yeah, that statement while maybe harsh, is pretty accurate.

And as for the swearing, I'm assuming you are an adult. You are reading a smack blog. Put on your big girl panties & deal with it. Some people swear, some don't.

    ReplyDelete
  170. Curious if any of you have ever used ColorBox archival dye ink? I bought three today at Hobby Lobby. Haven't opened them yet but bought Dark Cherry, Khaki Green and Seattle Sky. Thought I'd give them a try. However, if they suck, tell me and I won't open them but will return them.

Really hoping for an Impress Labor Day sale, though.

    ReplyDelete
  171. language doesn't bother me; childish but not offensive. personal attacks do. criticize a company, but not its customers, forum members or DT, unless it is directly related to the business. calling it a smack blog doesnt make it right.

    ReplyDelete
  172. Thank you. You've put into words why I was bothered by the earlier post. It wasn't the language so much as the personal attacks.

    ReplyDelete
  173. cursing doesnt bother me either I use the F - bomb occasionally. I would even go as far as to say sometimes it is appropriate. But that comment earlier was nothing but vulgar.

And I do SMACK or I wouldnt be here.

    ReplyDelete
  174. I thought Impress holds an ink sale in the fall. October, maybe?

    ReplyDelete
  175. OMG, the Avery Elle packaging is too cute. From the tape banner on the outside to the twine matching the color theme to the adorable free stamp.

    ReplyDelete
  176. It almost feels like the PTI forums over here with all the hand-wringing and finger wagging.

    ReplyDelete
  177. The f-bomb is never appropriate. Your standards are in the gutter if you think it is.

    ReplyDelete
  178. Fuckity fuckity fuck fuck fuck. I think that's appropriate.

    ReplyDelete
  179. And btw, I really don't give a fuck if some anonymous stranger on the internet thinks my standards are in the gutter.

  182. Oh, the horror! Some anonymous person said fuck on the internets. Quick, get me to my fainting couch!

    ReplyDelete
  183. Holy crap. ColorBox ink stain like a mofo! And that's not the chalk inks, but their dye inks. Just an FYI.

    ReplyDelete
  184. Darn I would like to get onto the forum.

    ReplyDelete
  185. I bet you won't see the forum fixed for days and days, just like everything else they do. They are all probably out for dinner laughing at how gullible we all are as they go on their yachts for the weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  186. Smackers, I think we all know that there are all kinds of people commenting here, from highly intellectual types who know how to speak beautifully and how it reflects on them, to the white trash who don't care that using crude language just makes them look ugly.
And I'm not talking about outer beauty...
Let's face it, if you have to use the 'Fuck' often in your everyday life, your vocabulary and probably your intellect is way below average.
But that's OK, because PTI smacking is for everyone!
