  2. Yes. Happy Smack-a-Faire!

    ReplyDelete
  3. LOL, only PTI! On the front page, the free stamp set has a " click here for Details and restrictions". Couldn't they have just left it at "click here for details"? As if everyone is out to steal from them!

    ReplyDelete
  4. ^^^Glad to see you made it to the site. Have you placed your order yet?

    ReplyDelete
  5. ^^^^Exactly -I made a similar comment at work. Why do people have to ruin a positive comment by following it up with a but. Unless they are BUTTS

    ReplyDelete
  6. That was meant for 3:35

    ReplyDelete
  7. I need to go back to bed my comment about following up with negativity was meant for PTI. Not the smacker

    ReplyDelete
  8. 04:11, LOL!!!

    ReplyDelete
  9. i can't even fill my cart will $100 worth of stuff just to get the free stamp set!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Just watched the first video -pretty card - all that tap-tap-tapping first thing in the morning would have me reaching for earplugs.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I'll give it to Nichole and the DT. They are up early this morning, leaving comments on everyone's blog who links to the SAF activities. Keeps it interactive. Very nice.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I filled my cart up about an hour ago. I just needed to decide on my last $15. Went back to fill it. My cart dumped. My cart never dumps. Guess I should take that as a sign.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Capri and Freesia are my favorite Fresh Ink blues. Off to spend my money at Impress. Carts dumping all over the place at PTI.

    ReplyDelete
  14. love, love, love the maya road polaroids!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Go to Erin's blog and read the post about the new baby-funny stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Lion Through Their Teeth21 July 2012 at 06:59

My top favorite Fresh Ink is Silver Lilac. Others that I love are Mango, Pink Lemonade, Fuschia, Tuscan Olive, Freesia, Steel Blue, Provincial and Merlot.

I may be ordering French Lavender, Pear, Blue Sage, Chocolate and Gypsy Blue (or Capri) today.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I think we can safely say that Nichole is NOT the one leaving comments. I'm sure she's hired someone for that mundane task - and I can't really blame her!

    ReplyDelete
  18. The concept of SAF is ridiculous. Can't believe grown women planned events around this. So sad.

    ReplyDelete
  19. So what 5:37?

Nichole is not your friend. She is getting paid to do this. They all are.

    ReplyDelete
  20. 3 hours into SAF and they are out of Basic White Cardstock??!!

    Un-fricken-believable.

    ReplyDelete
  21. There's better white cardstock out there. PTIs is cheaper but it's also dingy gray and doesn't take ink as well as a number of other types. Neenah, GinaK, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  22. OMG. I cannot handle NH beating the hell out of the stamp with her stamp pad! I know we talk about that all the time. After watching her with the Palette Noir, I think that's just the way she stamps because she did the same thing with that stamp pad.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I really love those leaves in the SAF stamp set but I refuse to place $100 order for them. Any other sets around that resemble those leaves?

    ReplyDelete
  24. LOLOL, people are buying white in order to get $100 orders because there was nothing in stock that they wanted!!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Is there a code for the Impress sale?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Well, I caved and place a $169 order. I really like the free set. Now let's see how long it takes to get to me.

    ReplyDelete
  27. ^^ the code is happy birthday.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Can these people be any more of a joke? Someone posted that the gallery is down and these are Ricks responses:

Sorry about that! The systems administrator set it in maintenance mode to do some work on Thursday and never took it back off

    Should be all set now

    Rick

Whatever he did makes the forum run VERY SLOW when the gallery is enabled...I have disabled it until he gets that resolved so as not to kill the forum performance. I will post a notice when it is resolved...sorry for the inconvenience...figures he would do it today right

    Rick

OMFG! The gallery has been down for a week and those morons just realized it? Pull your head out of your ass Rick!

    ReplyDelete
  29. 0720. Do you think she was being "in your face" with the tapping?

I was thinking if you didnt know anything about stamping you would wonder what the hell she was doing. I seriously hope a newby knows thats not normal

    ReplyDelete
  30. When Nichole turns that SAF set flower upside down and BEATS the ink onto the stamp a thousand times, I just have to wonder how she doesn't realize how that looks to customers!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Does anyone who has the PTI inks have to tap a billion times to ink up a stamp? Or is that just an OCD think sausage fingers does?

    ReplyDelete
  32. The inks are so poor that the dt cannot get coverage. Their latest release samples were blotchy and horrible where ink coverage is concerned. I can see where a couple of them tried to restamp over the vases a couple of times and still could not get coverage.

Off to buy more Fresh Ink from Impress on the sale!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Happily spent my $100 on Fresh Inks. Who needs a free stamp set when they can get 25% off quality ink? Had to mute NH. The tapping was ridiculous. Plus, one of her leaves at the top left didn't stamp cleanly. Not splotchy, just not there at all. How the hell did she miss a spot?

    ReplyDelete
  34. I have some PTI inks and some of them have terrible coverage issues. The problem is getting even coverage. When you do the multiple tapping it puts on and takes off ink and you have to keep tapping until you've gotten full, even coverage. The dye ink tends to pool up on the stamp. Some of my colors work better than others (can't think of the colors off the top of my head).

No such issues with my fresh inks (pigment) or my hero arts inks (dye I think).

    ReplyDelete
  35. I'm quite confused re:Rick. I thought HE was the admin over at the forum.

Unless he has multiple personalities which wouldn't surprise me in the least!!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Since she does it with Palette Noir, I think it is her habit or an OCD issue or something.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Ok Smackers, talk me into pushing the buy button on my Impress cart. Sell me on the inks.........

    ReplyDelete
  38. I've only used the Amuse inks which are the same formulation as the Fresh inks. They are easy to work with, good coverage even on solid image clear stamps, dry quickly so less smudging. I'd go ahead & buy them!

    ReplyDelete
  39. I ordered from my iPod Touch as am out of town. I really wanted free set and a few things. Cart didn't dump and payment went ok. Was surprised! Here's hoping order arrives with no glitches. I wish I knew why carts dump as so many people experiencing that still.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Can't decide whether to give Fresh inks a go, or just add more Memento colors to my stash. Either way, I will NOT be purchasing from PTI.

    ReplyDelete
  41. @7:05
What's even sadder is a bunch of grown women sitting around bitching and criticizing about people having a great day enjoying their craft. If you don't like it, don't watch the videos and go do something constructive for a change.

    ReplyDelete
  42. ^^ or hear hear

    ReplyDelete
  43. 10:06 And yet you are here reading the postings of these "sad grown women". What does that say about you?

    ReplyDelete
  44. Fresh inks (and Amuse inks for that matter) are the.BEST.INKS.ON.THE.MARKET.

You will not regret buying them.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I bought all the Fresh Inks except the white, black and putty and I LOVE them. Super coverage and pretty colors. I hope they come out with more since there are big holes in the palette but I guess I could fill those holes with Amuse. I already have dye inks I like so I was looking for pigment and these are perfect. I say push the button. Today, I will be purchasing some of the reinkers.

    ReplyDelete
  46. 10:06, 10:11, 10:12 Go blow!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Fresh Inks are just amazingly gorgeous. I have been stamping for 20 years and have never used anything as nice.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Just took the Fresh Ink plunge. Thanks for the color recommendations everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  49. ^ you won't be sorry.

    ReplyDelete
  50. @10:06, 10:11, 10:12

What's even sadder is that you planned ahead to patrol the smack board on SAF day. That's even sadder than the SAFers throwing parties and earning craft badges!

    ReplyDelete
  51. $32 to ship one stamp set to Singapore?!! And NH sees nothing wrong with this?!!!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Does anyone know how long that 'happy birthday' discount will last at Impress? I really want to try the inks, but need to wait a couple weeks before I buy. *crossing fingers*

    ReplyDelete
  53. I believe the Impress Sale is a one day thing.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Yeah, just today.

    ReplyDelete
  55. So 10:06, you're here bitching about people bitching. **shakes head** I've enjoyed the videos today. I think PTI has planned this event well. I have no desire to read any of the forum posts, so I haven't. PTI does have a talented DT. I don't think anyone here can, or does, deny that. I think most of the frusration eluded to on this blog, comes from the business end.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Ugh, was really hoping I could wait. May have to put on credit card for now. :( Really want to try them and getting a 25% discount is too good to pass up.

    ReplyDelete
  57. ^^^ The business end, as well as impression plates that don't leave a very deep impression, impression dies that you have to fiddle with to act like dies, dies that are supposed to score lines, but cut through the paper instead, etc. Design and DT is about all PTI has going for it, and we know that the design aspect is NOT original.

    ReplyDelete
  58. @ 11:25 -- you won't be sorry. The colors are beautiful, vibrant, and don't "turn" on you. They dry quickly and don't smudge. They stamp well, even when using acrylic (vs. photopolymer) stamps.

    ReplyDelete
  59. oops -- @ 11:45, I mean

    ReplyDelete
  60. What else did you all buy at Impress?

    ReplyDelete
  61. I am very very sorry I have searched but cant find the Impress discount code. Would someone please share it?

    ReplyDelete
  62. I found the code

    ReplyDelete
  63. 11:20 & 11:40 here.... Went ahead and ordered 8 pads. Can't wait to try them out.

I ordered: black tea, slate, fuchsia, celery, sugar, melon, island & red currant. Any I will regret not getting?

One thing I would prefer is if Impress took PayPal too. So much easier to just log in at PayPal, instead of finding out they don't take it and having to go dig up credit card and type in all numbers and billing info. (3rd World Problem, I know) :)

    ReplyDelete
  64. ^^oops... 11:20 & 11:45, not 11:40

    ReplyDelete
  65. who gives a flying fuck about impress?

    ReplyDelete
  66. Not sure I give a 'flying fuck', but I am interested in Impress. What do you give a 'flying fuck' for? PTI?

    ReplyDelete
  67. 12:18, you need to use that cc card more often. I've had my number memorized for years!

    ReplyDelete
  68. You mean "1st World problem" ;)

    ReplyDelete
  69. 12:18.. :) Will have to work on that.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I give a flying fuck about finding an ink that WORKS consistently and has awesome colors.

    ReplyDelete
  71. 12:35... oops, my bad. ha ha ha.. thought it sounded weird when I typed it.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I just ordered melon, fuchsia, sugar, slate, merlot, basil, peach, island, provincial gray, blue sage, putty and chamomile from Impress. Can't wait to get them. I do wish they offered free shipping when you hit a certain limit. Would be nice. They must have made a killing this weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  73. I ordered Sugar, Red Currant, Merlot, Grass, Mojito, Mango, Silver Lilac, Steel Blue, Navy, and Sky Blue. Wish they had more purples. Yes, I am sure they are making a boatload! Free shipping would be nice, tho'

    ReplyDelete
  74. Did anyone see that Mish contributed to SAF on the ribbon techniques post? It seems odd seeing how she quit PTI.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Mish quit after SAF was planned. If it was my event, I think I'd insist she do it as her last PTI stint. MW is a big draw and I'm sure some peeps are thrilled she's there.

Is MW on the forum helping out or is it just a video or posts submitted. You know, work that requires no real interaction with Nichole or the DT. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  76. MW is not on the forum and she didn't post the ribbon stuff on her blog. She sent it to NH who posted it to *her* blog. It was a complete phone-in job. And not that great, either.

    ReplyDelete
  77. 12:58. I ordered also and the shipping did take a bite out of the total discount but I am still excited. I am wondering if they have all the colors in stock with all of us throwing our business their way.

I had to to replace old stamp pads so thank you all for the recommendation

    ReplyDelete
  78. Anyone that gives a flying fuck is part of the mile high club! :-)

    ReplyDelete
  79. Impress just got a $180 order from me!

    ReplyDelete
  80. People are asking to buy extra SAF sets. I thought you only got one per person no matter how much you ordered.

    ReplyDelete
  81. @ 14:30 -- Bhahahahahahhaha!

    ReplyDelete
  82. Add That 2 The List21 July 2012 at 14:51

$32 to send a FREE set to Singapore?!? How the hell can any ethical business owner take that to a customer? Oh. My. Word. Even in this case she won't offer a freaking bubble envelope after the woman spent $100 and is willing to pay for a freebie. Damn that's harsh. And pretty shitty to tell a customer AFTER they've paid.

    ReplyDelete
  83. They have to give her her free stamps . She earned them according to the rules. If they don't she can turn them over to an agency. They are SOOOO dishonest.

    ReplyDelete
  84. MW is not on the forum and she didn't post the ribbon stuff on her blog. She sent it to NH who posted it to *her* blog. It was a complete phone-in job. And not that great, either.

    ----------------------
They have all been working on SAF for months. Her part was likely completed some time ago and NH already had it to use.

    ReplyDelete
  85. PTI lost some big bucks today. A blogger friend posted a couple of weeks ago that she would only place a SAF order IF her release order arrived in a timely manner. She said if her release order must arrive before she would do SAF. A number of her followers said the same thing. Out of 23 women only 2 have their release orders so 21 orders were lost.

    ReplyDelete
  86. My order of 2 packs of paper place right at release have not arrived either. I used to get orders in 48 hours. What do you want to be that they are not even going to get the SAF orders out soon.,

    ReplyDelete
  87. 14:54, about the shipping to Singapore: They are not dishonest. It said upfront in the rules that if you bought a GC for your $100, you have to pay the shipping for the set. But I do think they could offer to just put it in a bubble mailer for her, if she says she is willing to take the risk.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I wasn't part of that blog pact but decided I was only doing SAF ordering if my stamps arrived today. They aren't going to be here today, so I'm not ordering, I live in Seattle and went and dropped $120 at the Impress sale instead.

    ReplyDelete
  89. (Ugh, clarity is a good thing -- this is 15:55 and I was talking about my release order).

    ReplyDelete
  90. When do GC's count towards anything free? You don't earn rewards on them because they are supposedly like money NOT merchandise. This was a cash grab IMO. And if we pay shipping for the free set, well thats even better for them.

    ReplyDelete
  91. There should be a discount on shipping if it's just the one free set. Anniversary sets were sent for free. I doubt there are a lot of people in Miss Singapore's boat. Stop being cheap Nichole. Mail the set first class and look like a decent human being.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Danielle's Washi tape is very cool.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Did you guys see that horrible ink coverage on one of Ashley's Stamper's first aid cards??? The one with the hexagon strip from Rosey Posey, i would be ashamed to endorse such a bad product. Wow

    ReplyDelete
  94. Lion Through Their Teeth21 July 2012 at 18:51

I was almost tempted to buy $100 of card stock but I figured it would all come with bent corners. So I spent $200 between Impress on more Fresh Inks and Clear & Simple Stamps on their July/August release. I really like the apothecary/sweets sets and the cocktail sets. And I know I'll get both orders in good time.

    ReplyDelete
  95. I spent $98 at Impress and $60 at Gina's. And i will sleep tonight knowing I will get my orders.

    Bonnie

    ReplyDelete
  96. Spent $105 at Impress today. Need some new ink!!!

    ReplyDelete
  97. How good business is done:

    From Gina K on Facebook:

"I messed up and the sale on our website ended early! I am SOOO sorry! I fixed it now and I also extended it through Sunday so nobody has to feel rushed since it's already Saturday night. Oh, and if you did order during my glitch, send an email to customer service and we will make sure it all gets fixed for you so you get the sale prices on the stamp set duos and patterned paper. Sorry!!! XOXO (I should not be allowed to play with a computer... only stamps....)"

    ReplyDelete
  98. It would be very nice, if we

    ReplyDelete
  99. --sorry. That was a total mess up.

    ReplyDelete
  100. @14:51 NH gave her the notice BEFORE she placed her order. Fucking Troll

    ReplyDelete
  101. I spent @50.00 at Impress today. They might start offering up discount codes every time that PTI has a big event! I have been using their inks for 1 1/2 years now and I fell in love immediately. It's like 2 taps and your stamp is covered. The only one I haven't purchased is the white...anyone have that one? I heard it isn't quite as good as Fresh Snow, but my FS pad is almost too wet. A Muse Studio inks are just as great...love their new color Burano. Seems to match a lot of patterned papers that have that "off" red color.

    ReplyDelete
  102. I got one of the new Stampin' Up foam pads in today. I think I like them more than my Impress pads. I'll reserve judgement until the rest of my order comes.

    ReplyDelete
  103. I can tell that I'm really over PTI. I forgot about SAF and spent a few hours at the mall shopping the Nordie Anniversary sale with my stamping budget.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Trell, looking forward to your review of the new SU pads.

I still use some of my old SU pads that are matches to PTI, along with AMuse and Fresh Inks. I've yet to find a good match to Ocean Tides.

Does anyone know if there is a match in SU colors (past or present)?

    ReplyDelete
  105. i love the new stampin up foam pads!

    ReplyDelete
  106. that card by terri e is just too ugly. definitely needed some first aid but she probably tried extra hard to make it look bad so sausage fingers would pick her

    ReplyDelete
  107. The new SU ink pads seem to have a similar surface to Versafine (my all time favourite pad).
Trell, do you have any Versafine, and do they compare in consistency etc.

    ReplyDelete
  108. 4:10, the best SU match for Ocean Tides is Sage Shadow. The best match of the inks that I own is Versamagic Oasis Green. Amuse Eucalyptus isn't bad either, though it's just a touch too gray.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Looks like Jenn E came out of hiding yesterday. She spent the day with Little Miss "I wear inappropriate clothes for my age" and CKNutjob!

    http://cardsquiltsandkittys.blogspot.com/2012/07/papertrey-stamp-faire-2012.html

    ReplyDelete
  110. Is the 'Becky' pictured about half way down that post previous DT member Becky O?! I found a couple pictures of her online, that aren't her FB profile pic, and it kinda looks like it could be.

    ReplyDelete
  111. ps: I thought it was fun to see the pics of the get together. Makes me miss having a lot of 'scrappy' friends close to get together with.

    ReplyDelete
  112. I would be surprised if that was Becky O because she didn't leave PTI on great terms and has just recently been talking about it.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Yuo that's Becky
She would be on good terms with Jenn though wouldn't she?? The must have worked closely together...
All those ladies "pretend" they don't read the smack blogs, so they can pretend not to know anything about Becky leaving on bad terms

    ReplyDelete
  114. Okay, I am not one to smack people personally, however, what makes Miss T think her denim cut-offs with the pocket liners sticking out is an attractive look? I don't care if you are a model, that is just a trashy look for anyone, IMO. Such an attention getting outfit in a really negative way. Say look at my shorts...oops, they are so short you can see my vagina, sorry, I meant pockets.

    ReplyDelete
  115. what is wrong with miss t that she would fly half way around the world just for that? And get some pants on girl. Did she think there would be some hot guy there or something? Noone is interested in your vajayjay!

    ReplyDelete
  116. that lizzie gordon sure is porky

    ReplyDelete
  117. ^^ very mean and so unnecessary.

    ReplyDelete
  118. 09:50, that's the first thing that jumped out at me. Very trashy, but, to each their own. I wonder what Cheryl and Co. thought about her attire.

    ReplyDelete
  119. 09:50, that's the first thing that jumped out at me. Very trashy, but, to each their own. I wonder what Cheryl and Co. thought about her attire.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Is Becky the pregnant one in the orange?

    ReplyDelete
  121. Pockets hanging out of shorts are very hipster in the US right now.

    ReplyDelete
  122. that lizzie gordon sure is porky
    ----------------
^ Stupid, mean comment so I hate to copy it. For the record I believe that is Lizzie Jones (the PTI stamp designer) and I believe she is pregnant.

    ReplyDelete
  123. It just occurred to me that maybe Becky is not pregnant and I am horrified that I made that remark.

    ReplyDelete
  124. That is def. a mix of familiar faces at that VA stamp group. Did anyone else notice Joan B in the group shot. Yes, that is def Becky O (she is not preg, btw). And is Cindi the same Cindi that used to post angry rants on the forum? Better known to the smackers as "Inspektor Cloisseaux". Lol. Interesting mix, for sure. As many "ex" PTI'ers as current ones. Bet that made conversation interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Joan B?? which one???

    ReplyDelete
  126. Pockets hanging out of shorts are very hipster in the US right now.

    --------------

I live in the US and no, this is not hipster, it's Britney Spears white trash apparel.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Yeah, that gathering made me wonder if it was all hugs and kisses for PTI or smacking on the smackers!

    ReplyDelete
  128. i don't think that's becky oehlers, is it?

    ReplyDelete
  129. Are personal attacks on appearance really necessary? Come on, people, how old are we?!!

    ReplyDelete
  130. I am so curious to see how the SAF order filling and shipping will go. They know they are under the microscope so I hope they have their best game on. This could be a major game changer

I sincerely wish them goood luck

    ReplyDelete
  131. Many, many don't have release orders yet. I smell a bad week a-coming at PTI.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Yes, that's Becky Oehlers. Taheera has been posting about what a great hostess and tour guide she is. Sounds like she's staying with her while she's in the U.S.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Yes, Becky posted that T is staying with her.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Sausage fingers posted on the forum that due to volume of SAF orders, it may take up to 7 days for an order to leave the warehouse.

    ReplyDelete
  135. You know what 12:30 why dont you post a pic of yourself and let everyone else discuss your fingers and the rest of you?

GROW UP with the name calling

    ReplyDelete
  136. Boy, someone let the mean girl out of her cage this morning! Do you choose your friends based on their beauty or perfect physique? How shallow. I'm with the ones who say knock it off on the smacking people's appearance already.

    ReplyDelete
  137. They are still way behind on release orders. Either they fired a bunch of help or people are ordering record amounts.

    ReplyDelete
  138. 7 days?!?! Why am I even suprised!???

Is it that hard to predict that a lit of people will be ordering today??

Or maybe they have to wait for extra SAF sets to be made??

    ReplyDelete
  139. 12:30 where did NH say this on the forum?? Got a link?

    ReplyDelete
  140. I am beginning to suspect they sell things that are out of stock that will be in in a few days. This may be why the orders take 7 business days to even get packaged.

    ReplyDelete
  141. ^^^if that's the case they need to get their inventory under control.

    ReplyDelete
  142. They need to get a lot of things under control ... But they won't. SMH

    ReplyDelete
  143. Ohhh.. it's alright to call NH sausage fingers, and when I asked why it was alright to criticize people's appearance, they say, it's a smack blog, it's what we do!
But smacking on Miss T and Lizzie, etc. and that's not cool?
You people are all touched...seriously. Friggin Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde!

    ReplyDelete
  144. I bet Little Miss T is one of those girls who likes to leave her bits hanging out and then acts flabbergasted that she gets so much attention from people (men). Like, woah! I am so, like beautiful, because everyone, like totally stares and me and stuff.

Not because my vagina hangs out of my pants.

(And silly women like me use our pants to hold our vajvajays in.)

Also, that blog link annoys me. The plural of "kitty" is actually "kittens", not "kittys". How fucking dumb can you be???

    ReplyDelete
  145. No, the correct word is "kitties" not "kittens".

    ReplyDelete
  146. 12:30 where did NH say this on the forum?? Got a link?

  147. Who thinks Miss T is beautiful?! I always thought she looked odd with her weird poses, big nose and frizzy hair. She looks like she's trying to hard to be something she most definitely is not. But to each her own, I guess.

  148. Cut it out or show a picture of yourself.

  149. I tried to place a SAF order and quit after my cart dumped three times while I was trying to fill it up.

Thanks, Rick, for helping me keep my personal PTI boycott in effect :)

That's the only time I've ever been grateful for PTI's poor excuse for a website.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Someone posted a few days back that you can avoid cart dumping if you have two browser instances of your cart up. I have had minimal problems in the past, but so far, I've had zero problems adding items to my cart. I know we shouldn't have to go to great lengths to avoid this problem...

  151. 13:12, I have long suspected they do this. It would explain certain shipping delays and why some people who order later are shipped their packages before those ordering earlier.

Of course, I'm sure they wouldn't fess up to that!

    ReplyDelete
  152. I think especially with special promotion sets they are ordered based on quantity needed. They dont plan on selling them at a later date and they never have any sales to reduce inventory. So they dont want to over buy.

The part that will bite them the most is that PTI is totally responsbility for tracking which orders qualify for the free set. And their record keeping is poor so I hope they can do this for the customer's sake.

  153. An outsider's view of SAF

I was not home until after dinner last night so I took no part in anything related to the activities of the day. However, I did sit down and review all of the DT projects, looking for inspiration, card sketches, color combos, etc. I think I marked about 4 ideas for future reference. When looking at the forums, it seemed it was mostly the DT talking to themselves and a few others.

What's your take on the day? Was it a big success because they got a lot of orders?

  154. Does anyone else find this absurd?

  155. ^^^ I dunno, it's definitely not my style but the Rapunzel Sophie is kinda cute. I know my granddaughter would love to get cards made with Riley & Sophie...but I can't justify getting stamps I will use a single time with just her.

    ReplyDelete
  156. I used to like Riley but never bought any of these stamps. Didn't know who to send them to.

SAF looked fun! I am surprised to see Jenn E. and Becky O in one room though. (smiling face)
I'm glad I didn't order on that day to avoid the stress of waiting. I will order when it's near the end of the month though.

    ReplyDelete
  157. So is Riley dressing in drag now, or did I miss something?

  158. I am surprised to see Jenn E. and Becky O in one room though.
    ------------------------
Why? I think it's totally possible that they share the same opinion of PTI. I'm guessing that since most of the people there have been stampers for so long they already know each other.

  159. I need some background stamps. I like PTI's. But what are some other suggestions?

    ReplyDelete
  160. I love Market Street's backgrounds. Also, check out Waltzingmouse.

    ReplyDelete
  161. Paper Smooches has some awsome BG stamps, I have a few and I love them! Affordable and excellent shipping times.

    ReplyDelete
  162. For background stamps... CHF?

  163. I have 6 Market Street BG's and LOVE them. They cover the whole card, which i love! Fast shipping too!

    ReplyDelete
  164. oh yes, buy the cornish heritage farms backgrounders. they are the best!

  165. PTI must have worked on Sunday because the status of my SAF is "fully shipped." Now I know it hasn't shipped yet but it's progress.

    ReplyDelete
  166. I think that "fully shipped" is the new fake shipping notice. Even after I had a tracking number my order sat in the warehouse for 2 days.

    ReplyDelete
  167. Final status on my release order placed within the first hour of the last release. Took PTI 3 days to create the label, 5 days to get it to the post office, and the post office took it's standard 2 days so I should get it in the mail today, Monday.

    ReplyDelete
  168. Hey, where do smackers get their envelopes for sending cards? I normally get mine from say, Office Depot, but was looking for some better quality and crisper white.

    ReplyDelete
  169. anyone have a link for the new not-yet-released CTMH catalog? i hear there's a new cricut cartridge coming out.

    ReplyDelete
  170. My PTI pkg is out for delivery. WooHoo!! Tracking available on my SAF order. Sweet!!

    ReplyDelete
  171. No link to the CTMH catty but here's link to what's on the new cart

There is a new CTMH Cricut cartridge coming in the new catalog called 'Artiste'. The catalog will be out next week, if I figure out how to link it later I will. Also there are alcohol markers coming that match CTMH colors. Sold in sets of 2, the coordinating color and either a lighter or darker shade for blending.

  173. I've always wondered who the 'Great Business Women' behind PTI were, and looky here, there they are in this old post from NH's blog"
    http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/2009/08/cha-supershow-from-a-papertrey-point-of-view.html

I wonder if they were their usual bitchy selves to the customers at this CHA show!

    ReplyDelete
  174. and here's the old post with pics of the PTI warehouse way back in the good ole days:

    http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/2008/02/picking-packing.html

It really is no wonder things get lost in there it's kinda small, imagine what it looks like now after SAF? You probably can't even walk around.

All thanks to you smackers! Thanks for all your SAF orders!

    ReplyDelete
  175. Didn't Papertrey move after that warehouse picture?

    ReplyDelete
  176. ^^^ if I remember correctly they moved to a new warehouse some time ago.

    ReplyDelete
  177. The only difference in PTI's shipping is that they no longer email the fake shipping notices. Even that is an improvement I suppose.
I ordered during release and the status didn't change for 2 days and then even after it said fully shipped and I had a tracking number, it didn't leave the warehouse for 2 more days.

Sorry to tell you, fully shipped means nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  178. I have an order that is marked "fully shipped" for 8 days and there is no sign of it. It is 48 hrs. from the pt. they ship until it is at my door. They have not shipped it just because it says shipped. It just means they have your money.

    ReplyDelete
  179. @20:38 - thanks for the tip about Paper Smooches background stamps. Just bought three. :)

    ReplyDelete
  180. No MIM. They are so unable to plan ahead???

    ReplyDelete
  181. ^^^That was a rhetorical question, right?

    ReplyDelete
  182. I think that "fully shipped" is the new fake shipping notice. Even after I had a tracking number my order sat in the warehouse for 2 days.

Kinda liked "solved" = "put it in the corner 'til we're ready to bother"

  183. WHY. IN. THE. HELL. would you do a blog post, promoting a product that is from a shop that's "temporarily" closed, with NO indication of when the shop might re-open??? This stamp would be PERFECT for a friend of mine... I want it now! Did this Kelly person take customer service lessons from PTI???

    http://michellewooderson.blogspot.com/2012/07/heres-idea-get-it-girl-tags.html

    ReplyDelete
  184. But Becky O has a really crappy opnion of PTI - and she was there with rabid defenders in Cheryl and Cindi at an event that was all about PTI? Maybe not "all about PTI" but certainly a lot about PTI since they projected the videos. Why bother? Did she just want a day out?

    ReplyDelete
  185. I'm with you 9:27. This was essentially an event put on by PTI, so why would Becky show up? Weird?

    ****
Especially given her new position at Gina K. Seems a little unprofessional to me to be seen in a somewhat-promotional manner for another company... not that she was doing any kind of spokes-modeling or anything but to even be participating in the event seems disloyal to Gina and the opportunity she has given her to design again.

    ReplyDelete
  187. I disagree..it was just a regional meet up of crafting friends
Lots of these ladies meet up on a more regular basis outside of PTI events... So what if Becky was there??

    ReplyDelete
  188. WTF does "its my jam" even mean? I've never heard of that saying and I'm not some backwoods hick living in a hole.

I just get this impression that Kelly Purkey is super immature. Or full of herself.

thanks for the CTMH cart link.

    ReplyDelete
  189. 0944. I believe that Gina is confident enough and trusts people that it does not bother her that Becky is crafting with her friends. Let it go

    ReplyDelete
  190. NH's reason for no MIM is crap. Aren't these videos done weeks in advance just like the SAF ones were done ages ago? Just call a spade a spade for once Nichole. Repeat after me "We couldn't be bothered to do one since we just posted 23. Hope you enjoyed them. See y'all next Monday."

    ReplyDelete
  191. It's a free country and if Becky O wants to craft with her friends at a PTI event she has every right to. Maybe she's more mature than the smackers who just can't seem to let it go.

    ReplyDelete
  192. New space is up!

    ReplyDelete
  193. Yes, but there are also those of us that are just plain curious about Becky O going to a PTI event because of her past discussions about the company. I'm not losing sleep over it.
