PTI stands for Papertrey Ink. This is a collective smack blog and Papertrey Ink review page. Papertrey Ink's continuously poor customer service has lead to a page dedicated to discussion of this stamp company and recommendations for alternative stamp companies. Minimal censorship here- I prefer to leave it up to posters' discretion.
The opinions posted on this blog belong to our visitors and we are not paid for our honest reviews ;)
@ 8:35 - I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a replacement. Unless I had a death wish. This is the same company that promised IN OCTOBER that all anniversary sets would be mailed end of the week.
I am just not sure how many times they can spit in your eye and some keep going back for more. Haven't ordered in 5 months but still had hope. I know.....silly me. Trying to use my reward points before the place does go belly up. I am down to 7 dollars......any suggestions?
To answer the post from the last thread...no updates on Int'l shipping of course! BFF and I put an order in to use up points on release day, no tracking or emails...just got the Order on Monday.
>>>So someone on SCS posted that they are getting a replacement for a defective stamp. got a polite email and everything. > Honestly? Probably not. But hey, let's give PTI the benefit of the doubt. -------------------------
I have had 2 issues with defective stamps. (One was actually defective, didn't stamp correctly; the other was a ripped stamp from one of the Mat Stack sets that a lot of people were having problems with fused stamps ripping when removing from the acetate).
In both cases, I emailed CS and included photos. In both cases, I got a timely reply (once from Jenn, once from Julie) and was sent the replacement - not asked to send back the bad stamp or do anything else. Another time they sent me the wrong index label, and again, I just emailed and got the missing label sent to me.
I'm not exactly trying to "defend" PTI, because there is no doubt that the "good" CS experiences are, at best, inconsistent. Just saying that they DO sometimes do things right. I just don't know why they can't get their act together to do it right ALL.THE.TIME.
from the other thread: "My release night issue got a generic response...but nothing else
So my ASS they are working on the 25th"
I did get a reply yesterday to an email I sent late on the 25th - it was about the missing sentiment in Simply You, so it had already been answered on the forum and the reply just repeated what was on the forum. Not sure why you would not have a reply yet to an earlier message.... any chance it is in your spam?
Even if I loved the stamps and didn't care about other people's customer service issues I wouldn't place an order. There are so many problems with the new website that it would be foolish to think that everything would go smoothly.
Here is something that we can do to speed up the customer service process! When emailing, it might help with the sorting if we use consistent subject titles. That way, they don't have to read the email to know who to pass it along to! Brilliant, huh?
1.You owe me money 2.I don't have my order 3.I still don't have my anniversary set 4.My order is missing something 5.I am having problems with reward points 6.My cart keeps getting dumped 7.I didn't get a prize package from a)this year b)last year 8.I don't like the new packaging or please give me CD sized index labels 9.When will something be back in stock?
Her last post was on Feb 15th, so she must have stepped down right after that.
Very interesting... Is she still illustrating? I can't remember if Nichole listed her as an illustrator for this year. If so, then she didn't leave PTI completely. So I doubt her stepping down was due to all the recent PTI problems.
I am way too lazy to wade through all of Nichole's drivel from the last release to see if Lisa is still listed as being a designer so I will just watch here for the news.
Lisa was listed in the stamp designer post made last month. Actually, in the design team post, Nichole said Lisa was stepping down from her Senior Design Team spot and taking on a lighter workload for future releases, due to family time issues. So this is nothing new and PTI did tell us about the change.
I guess Nichole doesn't need anybody else on Team Lite. You know, the designers that get the free stamp sets and make a few projects but don't actually have to participate in anything.
Lisa just posted in the forum that she is NOT leaving PTI! She meant to post on her blog that she was stepping down from her SR DT position and spell check dropped the SR part. No jumping ship here!
I really like Lisa Johnson. Met her at SAF last year...SAF, the beginning of the end! Just as well if she's doing lighter duties, less to take down with the ship!
The devil on my shoulder would love to post on the Lisa thread, "So now that we have your attention, Lisa, can YOU tell us wtf is going on over there??
Please someone post and ask Lisa what is going on.
I love when you gals say Save Nichole! Save Lisa Johnson! Hilarious because they truly should be saved.
It's so funny these talented designers think that they need to stick by this failure of a company. Whoever said above - PTI needs Betsy more than the other way around is so true!!
Maybe they didn't make a big deal out of the announcement because do we really know what a SR. design team member does vs. a regular old run of the mill DT member? I don't.
I'm guessing it just put more demands on her time.
I think the whole celebrity status of DT members is way overblown and not just at PTI (where it's probably the worst).
As a DT member of several companies, I promise it's nothing big. It's really just a job. We aren"t special or different. Our bosses just like how we sell their wares. With that said, I DO like Lisa's work.
Off topic here but I just gotta say that in general I liked the forums much more before Ted came along. Im not sure why he rubs me the wrong way, but I was a forum regular before he appeared. I miss the good old days. Before we ALL became disillusioned about PTI and their "customer service". I'm not hoping that complaints and concerns stop being posted...not at all. I'm just nostalgic for the days when a majority of PTI customers were blind to the perils of purchasing.
From the forum- It's been 3 weeks, she paid almost $50 in shipping and she doesn't know if the package has even shipped?
**Same here. Why do some orders have tracking numbers and others don't? Has my order even shipped yet? My shipping fees were $47.29 and I don't have a tracking number. It's simply ridiculous!!! :x**
I guess anybody that ordered during the last release (and has visited the forum at least once) should have expected these kinds of problems.
I don't feel the least bit sorry for people that are aware of the problems but choose to order anyways.
It's the people that have just come across Nichole's blog or see a pretty card in a magazine, fall in love with the stamps and then order without having a clue.
I discovered PTI cardstock about a year ago and I LOVE it. I have not had any problems with my orders. I just ordered 2 packages of cardstock and some ribbon on March 2nd (Friday), and received it today, March 7th (Wednesday). The only time I had a delivery take longer than normal was the post office's fault. Just wanted to give my thumbs up for PTI.
___________________________________ This is from SCS. These are the types of posts that drive me crazy. Thumbs up PTI?
I hate, hate, HATE the font of Melissa's new set! It reminds me of a really old Stampin' Up set I used to have... that I sold because the font was ugly.
Me, too. First of all, are you going to jump online at SCS and rave about it every time you manage to get a tiny little order in a reasonable time? These posts are misleading, as another smacker pointed out to any potential new customers.
Sorry Keri, you get no sympathy from me. It sounds like you knew about the issues and ordered anyways. Who do you think is going to answer you? Certainly not Jenn.
^^ I am glad Jenn promptly answered that order question on the forum, as I believe ALL questions should be answered this promptly (despite how generic the answer was) ... that being said ... it also makes me crazy that they perpetuate the craziness by answering ONE forum question, then leaving. It's making me baby that they are ignoring the 2011 anniv people but randomly come on and vaguely answer ONE question. The odds are like one of Nichole's contests!!
YES! sorosie posted what I thought too when I read that "dead horse" comment. WHAT is wrong with these people that they think we shouldn't voice our issues with the company?
Are they going to leave the website as is? Or are they ever going to fix it? There hasn't been an update on that. At all! Are they happy with the crap they rolled out a month ago?? Boggles my mind.
I love it when people make those kind of comments like "I got my order and have never had a problem with PTI", like their one expereince negates all the bad expereinces that people are posting about.
Especially since you know they are just one order away from a similarly horrible experience, like a defective die, missing item, 2 month wait for package etc etc, and then have to deal with the clusterfuck hell that is PTI's CS.
I so want that to happen to all such self centered people and see them post and then say, "boo hoo, don't bring this place down with your dead horse post, I got my order super duper timely and have never had a problemo. Why don't you email CS and you will be taken care of. Not. Too bad, so sad". ;)
I did actually see a post the other day, on SCS I think, of a customer who said she used to not understand what all the complaining was about. Then it happened to her.
It also shouldn't have to HAPPEN to them for them to feel some sort of empathy. I think it so damn RUDE to imply others are such a bother with their issues. Customers who do that look like assholes, IMO.
got it. TOo many people including those at PTI don't really care about the issues others are having.
The "horse" isn't dead - not until they either go belly up or somehow dramatically make a change in customer service and people start seeing some action.
And I don't just mean "let's hope all goes well with this release."
I'm so PO'd on behalf of others that I DO hope they go belly up. They deserve it. Yes, I love the products like everyone else but I'm no sellout. I have my standards.
However, I am royally pissed about what is going on over there that I cannot bring myself to order from them anymore. I am livid at how they are treating people who have legitimate concerns.
I am most annoyed with the dimwits who have zero empathy for the situation and feel that they need to work overtime to make Jenn et al look competent.
Also, huge shout out to sorosie. You beat that dead horse, girlfriend! ;)
I love that this month's release has stuff for dads. I think that's a big tip off that if you order these stamps you may or may not get them in time to use in June.
Add me to the list of people who haven't had any ordering problems but I REFUSE to support them and won't order from them. I do love the designs and dies, but I will stay strong!!
Help a sistah out. Link the threads or at least tell us the name of the thread.
I really don't want to read through the pages and pages of PTI forum threads to find these little nuggets you guys are talking about. Gives me a headache just thinking about it.
What cracks me up is where is the DT in all this? Every single team I have been on requires us to post from time to time in the forum threads.
I admit I don't follow the forum all that closely, but I have yet to see a DT member chime in about any of these issues. Weird. But then again, if I was them I might stay away too.

Hi gals - I'll play too! I'm happily munching popcorn here on the sidelines enjoying this latest version of Reality Stamping. The past two days have been better than TV. Smack On ladies!
I've lost count of the different handles being used here but I think there are at least 15 of us.
I'm one who has lurked on the forums for a while, posted only a few times and wasn't well received by the cool kids so I stayed quiet. I did out myself on the POC thread and here but I"m sure everyone has long since forgotten who I am and PTI could give a rip about me since I don't order.
I started following the blog for the monthly contests. I didn't want to invest money in a company that was new to me but I sure would accept a free sampling of their products....heh heh.
Anyway, I was about to take the plunge and buy some dies. But I started seeing a few complaints on the board about the finish flaking off and those peeps not really getting any resolution. That soured me towards buying their dies.
As I kept following the new dramas unfold, I've been very leery to even get on the bandwagon. So I guess I'm a smacker sympathizer. I don't really have a dog in the fight but I am rooting for you guys who have been burned.
What would happen if single, direct questions were asked as the subject line of new threads?
For example, each of these could be a new topic submitted:
1-By what date will all anniversary sets be in the hands of those who have earned them?
2-Exactly how will this forum be changing and by what date?
3-Who is in charge of refunds and how do we contact that person directly?
4-Please explain shipping in detail. Explain when labels are printed in relationship to actual shipping.
Maybe if we were REALLY, REALLY direct and started about 10 threads directly addressing issues we want answers to, maybe then they would have to give direct answers or look really foolish.
What do you think? Anyone have the balls to do it?
Yes, I wasn't received by the cool kids either, I can ask questions and my questions get skipped over and ignored, hard to break into some of the cliques. At the time I just wanted to play along on the boards with everyone else, but there are some board bitches that don't seem to want newbies (I say Newbies but I do have 100 posts) around.
1. Can we get t-shirts printed ;P 2. Can we have a SAF stampset with phrases like 'free Nichole' 'I'll pass this on to Julie' 'we are getting to your email' 'send a SASE'
Gina's kraft is a bit darker but not by much. It is definitely thicker.
Try as I may, I just like most of PTI's paper better. Gina's white is smoother and not as a crisp white color which I don't care for. But I will say I like the ivory better than PTI's. It is a touch more "yellower" and a bit more of a true ivory color.
I was the one who proposed the idea of using one of Nichole's cards as inspiration and using stamps/supplies from other companies to achieve the same results. If I had time to run a blog like that, you guys would ALL be invited to participate. And you could do it with your fake smacker names. Wouldn't that be a hoot???
There was one post of Cloiseaux's where I thought she was going to blow a gasket! She was posting from a train and was rabid! She later apologized after being called on it but damn!
Not only would the knock off blog be a great idea, but we could also add tips. Donna C has given a few like using a perforator instead of the zipper dies and giving sources of companies with similar stamps like the houndstooth, etc. when the PTI ones are impossible to line up. In fact, I remember several tips people have given that are great replacement for PTI products.
OMG! #1!!
ReplyDeleteCrap...2nd
ReplyDeleteso someone on SCS posted that they are getting a replacement for a defective stamp. got a polite email and everything.
ReplyDeletesign of things to come?
Honestly? Probably not. But hey, let's give PTI the benefit of the doubt.
ReplyDeleteFor the dozenth time.
I think it's pretty telling that the smack blog is busier than the forum!
ReplyDeleteI doubt they ever actually receive it within this decade.
ReplyDeleteWould be nice to remain optimistic.
ReplyDelete21:18 That's because we're the bomb diggity and tell it like it t i tis.

ReplyDeleteYep....cut your losses and run. Donate the 7 dollars to the house that stamps built, she's gonna need it soon!!

Yes, you may have received a response, but I am still waiting on a response from an e-mail on the 16th...
ReplyDeleteIt's sad that people are going to the forum with their specific order problems thinking that they might get fixed.
ReplyDeleteFILE A CLAIM WITH PAYPAL OR YOUR CC COMPANY
That's the only way you will get resolution.
Even if I loved the stamps and didn't care about other people's customer service issues I wouldn't place an order. There are so many problems with the new website that it would be foolish to think that everything would go smoothly.
ReplyDeleteI just don't need that kind of stress right now.
HOLY CRAP! Lisa Johnson stepped down from the DT?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteHere is something that we can do to speed up the customer service process! When emailing, it might help with the sorting if we use consistent subject titles. That way, they don't have to read the email to know who to pass it along to! Brilliant, huh?

7.I didn't get a prize package from a)this year b)last year
8.I don't like the new packaging or please give me CD sized index labels
9.When will something be back in stock?
I have never been a fan of Lisa Johnson but good for her!
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get the info on Lisa? Her blog looks like she is actively preparing for release.
ReplyDeleteI wonder why Nichole didn't announce it or if she is planning to do so sometime this week?
ReplyDeletehttp://www.poppypaperie.com/poppy_paperie/2012/03/a-little-houskeeping.html#comments
ReplyDeletea little housekeeping
she states on her blog "I'm not posting as much since I stepped down from the Papertrey Ink design team."
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like she stepped down after the last release. Doesn't sound like a new decision to me.
ReplyDeleteOMG! I saw that too. I wonder why the silence on the part of PTI?? Her blog is full of this release though as if nothing has changed.
ReplyDeleteIt may not be a new decision but it's the first that I am hearing of it. Doesn't Nichole usually announce these things?
ReplyDeleteOMG! I saw that too. I wonder why the silence on the part of PTI?? Her blog is full of this release though as if nothing has changed.
ReplyDeleteHer blog is full of LAST months release.
She is not only on the DT but also a stamp designer....will she stop designing as well ?? And cut into her income ??
ReplyDeleteim also surprised nothing was said by PTI - but yes good for her.
ReplyDeleteI really liked her and her designs, so I am kind of bummed - but hoping she has something in the works.
Hope its not the start of everyone jumping ship - I said it before and I'll say it again -
They need Betsy more than Betsy needs them.
I wouldn't assume there's a huge income from this.
ReplyDeleteHer last post was on Feb 15th, so she must have stepped down right after that.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting... Is she still illustrating? I can't remember if Nichole listed her as an illustrator for this year. If so, then she didn't leave PTI completely. So I doubt her stepping down was due to all the recent PTI problems.
Wow! Really surprised to hear Lisa's news. She's been with PTI for a looong time.
ReplyDeleteI am not surprised that PTI didn't announce it. They are giving us all the silent treatment, remember? :-i
I am way too lazy to wade through all of Nichole's drivel from the last release to see if Lisa is still listed as being a designer so I will just watch here for the news.
ReplyDeleteShe is listed as a designer. Even Lisa's blog looks like everything was fine up until the Feb release. Hmmm
ReplyDeleteCome to think of it, Lisa Johnson didn't do the old set revisited SR DT post on March 1st.
ReplyDeleteLisa was listed in the stamp designer post made last month. Actually, in the design team post, Nichole said Lisa was stepping down from her Senior Design Team spot and taking on a lighter workload for future releases, due to family time issues. ReplyDeleteUPDATE - she is NOT leaving PTI. It was a typo. Lol - how much more PTI can you get than that?
ReplyDeleteI really like Lisa Johnson. Met her at SAF last year...SAF, the beginning of the end!

The devil on my shoulder would love to post on the Lisa thread, "So now that we have your attention, Lisa, can YOU tell us wtf is going on over there??

ReplyDeleteSAVE LISA Johnson!
I guess it's a good thing nobody posted, "Yeah Gurrrrl. Save yourself & run for the hills!"
ReplyDeleteAwkward.
Please someone post and ask Lisa what is going on.
ReplyDeleteI love when you gals say Save Nichole! Save Lisa Johnson! Hilarious because they truly should be saved.
It's so funny these talented designers think that they need to stick by this failure of a company. Whoever said above - PTI needs Betsy more than the other way around is so true!!
Lisa just posted that it was a TYPO.She has not left the team.
ReplyDeleteSo 12 seconds ago. ;)
ReplyDeleteHahaha!
ReplyDeleteToo bad we can't get real answers this fast!
I wouldn't miss Lisa if she stepped down but I would give her props.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they didn't make a big deal out of the announcement because do we really know what a SR. design team member does vs. a regular old run of the mill DT member? I don't.

ReplyDeleteOrdered from Ellen Hutson Sunday morning...in my hand in NY (from Washington, I think) by Wednesday at 12:00 noon! Go Ellen Hutson!
ReplyDeleteI don't feel the least bit sorry for people that are aware of the problems but choose to order anyways.

ReplyDeleteSorosie just posted exactly what I was thinking when I read the "stop beating the dead horse" comment. Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteYES! sorosie posted what I thought too when I read that "dead horse" comment.
ReplyDeleteWHAT is wrong with these people that they think we shouldn't voice our issues with the company?

ReplyDeletewhere's the dead horse comment?
ReplyDeleteIt's in the "Gone Mad" thread
ReplyDelete11:16 Look in the "Have I gone mad" thread.
ReplyDeleteSo, its obvious to 5,000plus viewers that PTI is never going to answer the question of why these customers can't get their 2011 sets.
ReplyDeleteYet, Nichole & Jenn both say over and over how much they care about the customers.
I think the question now is, "Were they lying then, are they lying now, or are they habitual liars?"
Discuss.
got it. TOo many people including those at PTI don't really care about the issues others are having.
ReplyDeleteThe "horse" isn't dead - not until they either go belly up or somehow dramatically make a change in customer service and people start seeing some action.
And I don't just mean "let's hope all goes well with this release."
This whole anniversary set business is the biggest f-ing joke of all.
ReplyDeleteJust give every single person who did not get their anniversary set a $24 credit for each one they earned in the past. Get it over with. Move on.
Of course, they probably don't know how to do that. Asses.
I'm so PO'd on behalf of others that I DO hope they go belly up. They deserve it. Yes, I love the products like everyone else but I'm no sellout. I have my standards.
ReplyDeleteI have to say, me too.
ReplyDeleteAlmost 6,000 views on that 2011 anniversary thread. No resolution, no explanation, and no comment from PTI. That defies all logic.
ReplyDeleteBut they did explain it remember ??
ReplyDeleteJenn told us it was taking time away from her other duties to respond to that thread.....so there !!
(lol)
I have never had a problem with PTi.

I love that this month's release has stuff for dads. I think that's a big tip off that if you order these stamps you may or may not get them in time to use in June.
ReplyDeletewe could always post our middle name... no one would really know that... then we could count how many unique names there are :-)
ReplyDeleteI don't know 11:51...Father's day is what? 3 months after the release???
ReplyDeleteCutting it a bit close don't you think?
you're my hero, MissyC.
ReplyDeleteAlso, who wants to order some DEAD HORSE BEATER shirts and wear them proudly in our profile pics?!
I was thinking along those lines too. Maybe at the top of the next space or something.. would the blog owner put a blurb about it?
ReplyDeletePost your middle name.. or just any name really! Who would know?
It could even be: Here's my tally: ____ (any word of your choice)
or "Count me: abc123"
I think everyone here can be trusted to just post once time.
Add me to the list of people who haven't had any ordering problems but I REFUSE to support them and won't order from them. I do love the designs and dies, but I will stay strong!!
ReplyDeleteTed is trying desperately to get people to talk about stamping.
ReplyDeleteKeep on bumping those threads, omathgoddess!
good god almighty. what in hell can he not understand about paper piecing?! for crying out loud. how lame.
ReplyDeletemaybe someone should just ask him if this question is a joke.
Can I just say if you are International - you must be extra DUMB to place an order! Are you that desperate for supplies or are you dripping in money??
ReplyDeletePTI has proven over and over they are not willing to go the extra step or have any trust in the customers!!
I'm sure with you on that one - international.
ReplyDeleteIf international customers want to give away their money, they can give it to me!
Anyone every wonder how many of us are posting here? ANyone every figure out a way to find out without anyone 'outing' themself?
ReplyDeleteI have an idea - anyone else curious?
7 March 2012 11:49
what is your idea?
Ted is really on a mission to bump all the 'bad' threads today isn't he?
ReplyDeleteAsk the blog owner, #1 Smacker, to start us off one day with something like:
ReplyDeleteToday let's see how strong our numbers are. Post once until the close of this thread:
-- and then something like "count me, I'm SusieQ" or eggplant fairy. lol - I dunno, anything unique.
Just post it once though. Honor system seems like something that would go over well here.
You know what I mean. You can of course post that day as many times as you want. Just don't post "Count me" or "Here's my tally" more than once!
ReplyDeleteit really is a burning wreckage over there on the other forum...
ReplyDeleteand I WANT TO BE EGGPLANT FAIRY!!
LOL.
Is the PTI forum down?
ReplyDeleteThey tried manipulating the threads over on scs with that mark's finest papers crap too.
ReplyDeleteThey just looked like idiots.
This whole "how do you paper piece" crap is hysterical!
OOH LALA! Charm those ladies Ted with all that sweet talk about heat embossing. Gag.
ReplyDeleteGo MissyC!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBananahammock checking in!
Love "bananahammock" but should we wait for the start of a new space?
ReplyDeleteCount me in - Glittery Narwhal!
ReplyDeleteShame we can't start an avatar 'thing' like Ted did, what could the theme be?
Why don't you ladies just use your made up names when you comment going fwd?
ReplyDeleteI'm in
ReplyDeleteOh we can just give ourselves a new name like that "Fmr PTI Fan?" Just pick the "Name/URL" choice?
ReplyDeleteI LOVE IT!!! Thinking...thinking...
@12:55... yep.
ReplyDeleteOk, I need a replacement for Rustic White and Rustic Cream. I use them a LOT, and it's hard letting them go.
Where, oh where, can I find them elsewhere???
If you're ok with an 80# paper you might want to check this out
ReplyDeletehttp://www.paperandmore.com/cardstock/cat-recycled.html
The white and sand have flecks like the rustic card stocks.
omathgoddess changed avatar to "devil inside" LOL!
ReplyDeletestill working on my name.
OMG! I am laughing so hard
ReplyDeleteI love the Devil Inside, that just really caught me as really funny! LOL!!
omathagoddess - you are my hero! Your avatar is awesome!
ReplyDeleteOMG - I actually cackled and laughed out loud when I saw omathgoddess's avatar.
ReplyDeletePure awesome sauce - I bow down to you ma'am!
the fact that it glitters and draws your eye to it even more is awesome!
ReplyDeletehhhmmm.....how long till Omathgoddess gets banned ???
ReplyDeleteHenseforth *OMG* will now stand for omathgoddess!
ReplyDeleteOkay, that devil inside avatar is pretty freaking awesome!
ReplyDeleteOMG - I can't look at it without laughing....please, please, please let Ted make a comment on it!!!
ReplyDeleteTed, I'm afraid that your post bumping is going to backfire on you. Just a guess.
ReplyDeleteHmm...wonder if my name works. You know, like a nicer version of the unicorn farting glitter and rainbows? ;)
ReplyDeleteGitter Toots - love it!
ReplyDeleteI am tempted to bump every single customer service thread with "Hi Ted"!
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think of this for my avatar?
ReplyDeleteHere
So, I just got a "board warning" from Jenn. She says I posted a personal attack! hahahaha!
ReplyDeleteGuess I'm on my way to being banned!
What????
ReplyDeleteOh NO! Was the attack against her or the company or do you think that someone complained to Jenn because they felt attacked?
ReplyDelete12:36 (#2), I know a little about the Mark's Finest Papers scandal. What thread manipulation on SCS are you talking about?
ReplyDeleteHahaha! I love that Missy C called this the "off forum" blog.
ReplyDelete@14:08 Jenn said the "attack" was against her. If you find the post, let me know! haha!
ReplyDeleteI think trying to stir shit up should be counted as a personal attack!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking it was on the 'a serious question for Papertrey' thread?
ReplyDeleteDid I guess right :)?
Help a sistah out. Link the threads or at least tell us the name of the thread.
ReplyDeleteI really don't want to read through the pages and pages of PTI forum threads to find these little nuggets you guys are talking about. Gives me a headache just thinking about it.
I thought the "serious question" thread was pretty tame compared to some of the others...
ReplyDeleteWhat cracks me up is where is the DT in all this? Every single team I have been on requires us to post from time to time in the forum threads.
ReplyDeleteI admit I don't follow the forum all that closely, but I have yet to see a DT member chime in about any of these issues. Weird. But then again, if I was them I might stay away too.
I haven't seen many dt members post but if you look to see who is online, there have been a few popping in to see what's going on.
ReplyDeleteI really don't blame them for not posting though! I wouldn't!
I'm sure the DT can't really get involved in this. It's not like they can speak candidly about anything on their own company's forum!
ReplyDeleteOh. My. Gosh. that image of the rainbow crapping unicorn made me almost choke laughing.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, this is a new smacker checking in.
From my count that makes 4 of us with identifiers. Oops, forgot Smacker III.
ReplyDelete5 of us.
Come on gals, check in!
It's too bad that Ted has his pm's turned off. He won't be able to send a nasty-gram to omathgoddess.
ReplyDeleteHe sent me one once but he deleted before I read it.
He did have PM's turned off for a few days but I see the icon is back under his avatar..that didn't last long!
ReplyDeleteLook out OMG! LOL!
ReplyDeletePresent and accounted for. :-)
ReplyDeleteCan't Think of a Clever Name is here and accounted for.
ReplyDeleteI'd like links to specific threads also. Have no desire to be on the forum otherwise.
ReplyDeleteStop posting inane threads Ted, I just want to slap him!
ReplyDeleteI'll use my forum name.
ReplyDeleteI am here too!
ReplyDeleteTed is a pain in the a*s. What the...a post about scoring? I hope he reads here. You are crazy!!
I'm here. With popcorn.
ReplyDeleteOh Ted. And Cloiseaux. Hey, where's Pricecheck?
ReplyDelete...or "Ida" for short. Count me in
ReplyDeleteTed's posts are driving me insane. I hated him within 2 hours of surfing theh forum the day I signed up. He's so annoying. Pft, DOUBLE STANDARDS.
ReplyDeleteTed has "talked so much with his wallet" that I think it's clear to everyone where he keeps his wallet.
ReplyDeleteFPTI is here an accounted for. Hey Now!
ReplyDeletePresent! We'll see if I can remember to put my nickname when I post...

But hasn't posted since Monday it looks like.
*Sunday* rather than Monday
ReplyDeletewhat the heck is Pricecheck?
ReplyDeleteA really annoying forum member who rabidly defended PTI a while back.
ReplyDeleteVajazzle checking in.
ReplyDeleteBemused Spectator
ReplyDeleteChecking in. My first post..
You know, i have never ordered from PTI, but i am one of probably many that could have been a potential customer.. Your voices are being heard...
Thank you, 16:08. Sometimes just being heard is major communication.
ReplyDeleteNow that Missy is talking about the "off forum" blog, wonder how long it will be before cknutti comes out self-righteous guns blazing...
ReplyDeleteYup, it won't be long before we see good ole ckn.
ReplyDeleteHi gals - I'll play too!
ReplyDeleteI'm happily munching popcorn here on the sidelines enjoying this latest version of Reality Stamping.
The past two days have been better than TV.
Smack On ladies!
WAHAFG here
ReplyDeleteI've lost count of the different handles being used here but I think there are at least 15 of us.
ReplyDeleteI'm one who has lurked on the forums for a while, posted only a few times and wasn't well received by the cool kids so I stayed quiet.
Solidarity to my sister!
What would happen if single, direct questions were asked as the subject line of new threads?
ReplyDeleteFor example, each of these could be a new topic submitted:
ReplyDeleteCan I name some names of people in cliques?
@ 16:35 What happens is you get people coming out of the woodwork speculating and answering for PTI. Exactly like what is happening in Missy's thread.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious to know the cliques too....
ReplyDeleteName away!
Name away BH....
ReplyDeleteWho thinks Claire of SMS, lawn fan, Taylor, mft, Gina, etc are silently cheering this debacle....?
ReplyDeleteVajazzle
I was never one of the cool kids either. A few REALLY nice forum members do respond to my threads - but in general - yup not part of the cliques...
ReplyDeletecount me in! NerdStamper here! :-)
Down with pti! No skin off my back if they go under
ReplyDeleteoh I am sure they are. I needed kraft CS in a rush - and couldnt wait for PTI. Gina K got my $$$
ReplyDeletebut i will say - her kraft is even THICKER than PTI. Not sure if i like it yet - but it was good in a rush.
Ok, people who I have tried to interact with(and I know others too) and you get cut off dead or ignored.
ReplyDeleteTed...dur
Leigh
Audrey
Ashjoy
Cloiseaux
Derbylea
Djanuary
PTI Lover
Little Miss T
Abzzymom
There are a few that I find clique-y
Is Gina K's Kraft CS the same color as PTI's? I am looking for something just a bit darker.
ReplyDeleteCount me in with the smackers who'd love to smack someone every time I hear "we'll add that to our list"
ReplyDeleteHi, InkStink here and ready to be counted.
ReplyDeleteI used to post on the forum quite a bit but was never accepted by the cliques. I've probably posted more on this forum though!!
Gina K's kraft is a bit darker.
ReplyDeleteIts probably exactly what you are looking for. Unfortunately its also more expensive - i think it came to $30 for 100 sheets (incl shipping)
Luckily I can get white and cream at my local Xpedx.
I totally want to plan a Smack-a-Faire :-)
ReplyDeleteBH - I can agree with your assessment, with the exception of Derbylea, she's always been nice to me.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I like the sound of Smack-A-Fair.
ReplyDelete1. Can we get t-shirts printed ;P
2. Can we have a SAF stampset with phrases like
'free Nichole'
'I'll pass this on to Julie'
'we are getting to your email'
'send a SASE'
I kinda disagree that derby lea is cliquey...she seems very impartial...
ReplyDeleteGina's kraft is a bit darker but not by much. It is definitely thicker.
ReplyDeleteTry as I may, I just like most of PTI's paper better. Gina's white is smoother and not as a crisp white color which I don't care for. But I will say I like the ivory better than PTI's. It is a touch more "yellower" and a bit more of a true ivory color.
Yeah... not loving where the whole singling ppl out idea is headed. Don't want the PTI SMACK to get discredited by some personal vendettas.
ReplyDeleteUm, I may have not meant Derbylea, I thought it was a name ending in lea, saw her name and thought that was it!
ReplyDeleteThen I apologise, I didn't name names so they would be 'smacked' it was just a list of people I thought were cliquey.
ReplyDeleteSmack a faire! I love it
ReplyDeletequote 17:20 I totally want to plan a Smack-a-Faire :-)
ReplyDeleteHahahahaha!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBlimey Ted, you are driving me crazy!
ReplyDelete@ 17:12
ReplyDeleteDerbylea & Djanuary are super nice.
Ted is divisive and holier-than-thou
Cloizzeau takes everything way too seriously and is so damn defensive.
Thats my 2 cents
@ 17:31 Love that idea! Let's put our frustrations into our art.
ReplyDeleteCould we have a sinking ship challenge with icebergs and buoy rings??
There was one post of Cloiseaux's where I thought she was going to blow a gasket! She was posting from a train and was rabid! She later apologized after being called on it but damn!
ReplyDelete17:48 - I remember that!
ReplyDeleteRabid is the PERFECT word.
