Here's your new space.

At the rate we're going I might have to post once when I get up and once before I sleep. Don't hate if I'm a bit late, I'm only one person updating this blog for you all but here ya go.

178 comments:

  1. This is interesting. According to this obit, David was Jane's husband but it looks like Julie is Jane's daughter.

    http://www.stxavier.org/page.cfm?p=1&newsid=523

I always thought that Julie was the mom but it looks like I was mistaken.

    ReplyDelete
  2. Am I the only one feeling a bit uncomfortable knowing people are looking up Jane's husband's obit?

Really people. Let's stick with the business.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Unfortunately google makes it pretty easy.

    ReplyDelete
  4. I don't think looking up info on them online is weird at all. They are 2/3 owners of a company some of us have invested a lot of money in. I like to know who I am dealing with.

    ReplyDelete
  5. I would bet this is their web developer...

    http://libertastechnologies.com/AboutUs/Clients.aspx

This page shows PTI as a customer.

    ReplyDelete
  6. The obit and lots of other info comes up if you google "Heskamp" or "geymonat" which is Julie's husbands last name (first name is Rick and he still shows up as pti's computer/systems engineer. I think if answers were forthcoming from PTI regarding all of the CS issues there would not be a need to search out info online. I want to know who I'm dealing with too and want to know what on earth could be causing them to be so screwed up.

    ReplyDelete
  7. @ 8:21 See GR Info Tech too. PTI was their customer too, once

    ReplyDelete
  8. I don't think there is anything wrong with Karen's and Nutty Lou's posts. They are only stating the obvious - i.e. who is going to answer the questions because Jenn doesn't have any authority.

When are the owners going to step up to their responsibilities??

And now the Anniversary posts have slipped to Page 2.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Totally agree with you - nothing wrong with what Lou and Karen are saying at all!

I commend them for standing up for these people instead of following the sheeple and getting excited over what will get released this month!

Who gives a rats bum whats new.......sort out the issues first and then move forward from there.

It really isn't rocket science.......or maybe it is for some!

    ReplyDelete
  10. I googled Jane and David Heskamp to find out what the relation was and the obit page was the first link that came up. I didn't go digging for that page specifically.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Interesting. ADMIN is now posting on the message board. Look under the new website thread.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I don't get it. PTI used to be known for unique stamps. Now it all seems to be tags and labels, and look at this today - a birdbath we've all seen a gazillion times. Why do all these people still seem to think they're hot stuff? Blech.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Admin is Rick - Julie's husband. Or at least it used to be.

    ReplyDelete
  14. But When was the last time you saw him posting? It's unusual.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Ted is the biggest cheerleader of "Talk with your wallet" and at the same time he is organizing a mass order. Umm...Ted, that ain't your wallet talking. It may be close to your back pocket ... but it ain't your wallet.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I looks like he was only during the last release, but before that the last time he posted was December 2010!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Yeah I thought it was off how quickly (and randomly) Rick popped up out of nowhere. Seemed like a knee-jerk defensive comment when he was supposed to be pretending to be busy. All the more illustration that when Jenn says "All hands are on deck" she really means Nichole is stamping, Jenn & Dave are stepping out onto the ledge, and everyone else is lurking reading comments.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Rick posted once in Feb 2012 and before that it was Dec 2010. He's not really around much.

    ReplyDelete
  19. ^^^ *odd, not "off"

    ReplyDelete
  20. Rick's comment is kinda funny because even if they weren't responsible for taking the site down, he did prove how quickly they can comment when they want to.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Maybe Rick can explain what the improvements are with the new website since he's a tech guy. I think that the new site is so much worse than the old one.

    ReplyDelete
  22. @6:17. My thoughts exactly! They can answer quick if they want too! Wonder just how much lurking they are doing around the web ???

    ReplyDelete
  23. Well I wouldn't mind at all if they read every word of the smack blog. Its the only place people talk honestly about what is going on.

    ReplyDelete
  24. @ 6:12

    hahahahaha

"It may be close to your back pocket ... but it ain't your wallet."

    hahaha

    ReplyDelete
  25. So "they" are working on emails dated 25 February.
    Only 10 days behind now.
Then there will be heaps more emails about the new release/problems.
Wonder if the IT person is getting the site up to speed to deal with more release issues.
    Won't hold my breath.
Going to be months before i can cash in my rewards (safely that is) and get out of the PTI treadmill.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Here's Admin's comment...

"We had nothing to do with the availability of that page, either before or after your post. I would imagine they started to notice traffic on the page and took it down.
    Perception is a funny thing...."

His comment just makes me scratch my head. Why isn't PTI concerned that a non-PTI person has publicly posted a website with their logo, products, etc? Unreal!

    ReplyDelete
  27. 11 DAYS BEHIND NOW?? They were 9 days behind a few days ago. Ever heard "the hurrieder I go, the behinder I get?" At this rate by the time the release happens they will be 19 days behind from the LAST release. Is this insanity or what?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Exactly. So, "all hands on deck" is able to get through ONE days-worth of email. I'm not sure how you get caught up at that rate. Throw out the leap year emails??

    ReplyDelete
  29. Ted is driving me fucking insane.

Anyone going to call him out about his order!?!? What a fucktard.

    ReplyDelete
  30. They need a second grader to help them with their "calendar math".

    ReplyDelete
  31. I agree about Ted. He needs to stop complaining if he is going to keep ordering.

I also think that it's horrible that they won't post a message on their website warning customers about the problems that they're having. There is just NO reason for it. The forum members are probably such a small percentage of actual customers that they are being deceptive by not doing something that will warn ALL customers.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I completelu understand why they don't address the negative on their own forum / blog / website. No business owner is going to post "buyer beware" on their own stuff. I just can't imagine how many customers who aren't "in the loop" must be totally confused. Imagine buying stuff, not getting it, then having no CS to interact with. Maybe sending an em and getting no response. I'd be wondering wtf daily.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Blah, blah, blah. I'm tired of hearing the complaints about the change in packaging. If your cereal company changes their packaging do they whine and complain about it? Geez, most companies will test out their new packaging but they aren't going to go back to the old one just because some people liked the old system. "I organized my entire pantry around your old sized cereal box. Now my system doesn't work! Won't you consider offering both types of packages? Just for me?"

    Boo hoo. Get over it.

    ReplyDelete
  34. They could post a message on the website that says:

We care about our customers. People have reported some glitches in our new website and we are working hard to fix them. There have been issues with ___, ___, and ___ that have not yet been resolved. Please note that because of this, customer service emails are backed up by _ days. Thank you.

....or something like that. Easy peasy.

    ReplyDelete
  35. @ 9:06 - an easy solution but it wouldn't line the PTI coffers. I'm convinced that they will do whatever it takes to get our money. No concern for their customers and clearly Julie, Jane, and Nichole are happy to put Jenn & Dave in the line of fire wih their hands tied. How those women can sleep at night is beyond me. Then again, if I was living the highlife off the backs of my customers, LOL

Is Nichols still bragging, I mean posting updates about the mansion that stamps built?

    ReplyDelete
  36. That message or a variation thereof would go a long way to showing that they really do care.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Now Ted is posting on the off topic board asking if there is a way that he can hide certain threads from popping up.

It's called self-control Ted. Exercise some.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Man, I just feel like rotting meat this morning.

    ReplyDelete
  39. ITA 9:05. Sometimes reading that forum is like being in a OCD-ANONYMOUS meeting. Peeps get so hung up on their damn storage.

    ReplyDelete
  40. @ 9:06 ... but they DON'T care about their customers. Why would they lie? As long as the money is rolling in what is the incentive?

    ReplyDelete
  41. I am so glad that i don't have to email customer service for anything. I feel so bad for every single person that is having issues (other than storage issues!LOL!).

    ReplyDelete
  42. LOL 9:42. Rotting meat. Thank god its just a "transition period." Lol. "Please wait two weeks while you transition from an enthusiastic customer to a po'd one."

    ReplyDelete
  43. 2 weeks?! Damn, I'm going to be downright putrid at that point!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Surely thats not Ted posting ...during school hours and not a holiday. Lol.

    ReplyDelete
  45. About storage - I'm bracing myself for when PTI does roll out their DVD cases. Watch as all these people who have scrambled to find alternative storage get sent into a tizzy.

    ReplyDelete
  46. This is better than reality tv. The alliances, those who have been booted off the island, the drama. It's delicious and I can't stop watching.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Word to that.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Gail hit the nail on the head. Alien abduction is the only feasible explanation for what is going on.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Yeah just wait (as usual, LOL!) for the DVD cases... and there's a problem with them!!!!

It is like a soap and that's probably why I keep coming back here and going there. I guess it is entertaining drama because it IS 'just' stamping stuff. I'm with all of those in an uproar about the stupidity of how they're doing or not doing things - it's tragic in its own way but not life-threateningly so.

    ReplyDelete
  50. The whole thing is such a joke. I keep coming back so I don't miss any punchlines. You never know when PTI will reach new heights of stupidity.

    ReplyDelete
  51. What a flipping mess!!! I keep thinking someone from PTI will respond, they are idiots for not dealing/speaking about all the CS problems.

Ted is driving me crazy!! If you don't want to read a post on the forum then don't open it. And Get to Work, my taxes pay your salary.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I could watch this video over and over all day.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=roKRHuvTKl0&feature=player_embedded

    ReplyDelete
  53. @ 10:04 & 10:06, I couldn't agree more!! Maybe PTI can get their own reality tv show!

    ReplyDelete
  54. The last post on the "Would like a reply..." forum thread quoted Nichole as saying they are only releasing 3 sets and two dies this month. Does anybody know where / when Nichole said that?? I don't see anything like that on her blog.

    ReplyDelete
  55. That's awesome! And to think that I almost missed it because I chose not to open the thread that it was posted on!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Anything the owners say at this pt is too little too late. If you re-read Nicholes "to our customers" note from November ... none of it has happened. She wants her "space respected". Their word is completely worthless. Everything they've said they'll do just hasn't happened. And no, they aren't only 10 days behind - they are 12 MONTHS behind as long as those 2011 sets haven't been received. Those poor customers just keep getting their faces slapped again & again.

    ReplyDelete
  57. What she said was

I think they could have earned a lot of respect and goodwill if instead of "business as usual" at release time, Nichole had just said something like, "We're only releasing 3 stamp sets and 2 dies this month, so as not to create another backlog while we work to get caught up and address customer service issues."

    ReplyDelete
  58. She wasn't quoting Nichole, she was saying - If Nichole said this.....

    ReplyDelete
  59. With so many people complaining, maybe their next *logical* step will be to close the forum. I say that because everything that they've done so far makes sense.
Ya know, cut off your nose to spite your face and all that.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Ted is on winter break. Give him a break. Teachers work extremely hard.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Thanks 10:24 and 10:25! I totally misread that. Whew!! (sarcasm) I thought for a minute we weren't going to get the full 3ring circus with too many products, problems not discovered until mid-release, and the possibility of random prizes & discounts thrown into the fighting crowd. Lol. I'm here for the show so I want this release to be a good episode. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  62. I like Ted and I like teachers. I just think Ted tries to hard to sell too much BS. I know that he reads this blog too because he's started adding a lot of , "Well, I am at work right now, but..." I liked the "old Ted" better before he started acting holier than thou.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Teachers are allowed to use their internet devices when on break. If you have ever spent time in the elementary classroom, there is NO way he is doing it with students present or to shirk his work. He is allowed to have lunch and breaks.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I've spent a LOT of time in elementary classrooms and I have yet to meet a teacher who could keep up on an active forum, organize a group purchase, and teach. I'm not saying it isn't possible, but all the teachers I know use every spare second to grab a bite, use the restroom, make copies, etc etc etc. They just don't have time to spare.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I think though I'd live with the new packaging (if I was ordering!)
The sheer idiocy of planning something as big as a packaging overhaul, and then not having the comlimentary products to go with it (and conitinue to make money from your customers) is monumentally and collosaly idiotic.

Nothing new to PTI...but I cannot imagine how much money they have lost from DVD sales in the last month alone.

It's like...we're changing the packaging over in February, but lets' not order the cases till january, and lets not check them till the week before they are realsed....

    ReplyDelete
  66. I agree 10:54. It's baffling because Nichole (in her Nov post) so adamantly states how carefully they consider each decision. Really?? So many of their decisions (like the SASE fiasco, the storage overhaul, the misprints & grammar errors, the awful website, ...) just seem like they weren't thought about at all.

    ReplyDelete
  67. My personal favorite is how they actually thought that they could release a new website mere days before one of the biggest hyped releases they've ever had, offer a first time ever discount and NOT anticipate any of the problems that they've had.

How could it not occur to a single one of the PTI owners that this would NOT be a good idea?!?!?

    ReplyDelete
  68. At least my order error from last month was in my favor and not theirs. Haha!

    ReplyDelete
  69. "I organized my entire pantry around your old sized cereal box. Now my system doesn't work! Won't you consider offering both types of packages? Just for me?"

    LOLOLOL!!! So true.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I actually like the new packaging. I got the butterflies and both label sheets fit perfectly into the tim holtz envelopes. -No planning, no needing to figure out which side of the cd case the label should go so that little guys dont fall out - etc. easy peasy. im just going to eventually transition everything.

But i agree. its like demanding two packaging styles from your cereal. Assinine. Companies change packaging ALL. The. Time.

    ReplyDelete
  71. @ 11:04: Exactly. Especially considering this is NOT the first time they've done it either!! I can't help but picture DORI (from Finding Nemo) leading those owners meetings: "Hey guys lets roll out a new website during a big release." One year later .... "Hey guys, let's roll out a new website during a big release."

    Lol.

    ReplyDelete
  72. BAHAHAHAHA!!!

    ReplyDelete
  73. I have PTI guilt. I have always loved PTI, ordered since Everyday Blessings came out. I've always enjoyed the website, the forums, etc. I never had a problem until the last couple of months.

My issue right now is the gift certificates, I put a couple into the comments box and still have not gotten the money back. In a way, I'm kind of glad because it would have put me below the free shipping threshold -- on the other hand, can I use them this month if I place an order? I haven't even bothered sending an email to customer service because they are so backed up.

I have an order in my shopping cart, ready to go (since the website has actually saved it a few days!) but I just can't bring myself to send it, because I feel bad for the people who have had so many problems, and I don't agree with the way PTI is handling the current situation -- such as not allowing any comments on Nichole's blog posts, deleting forum posts and facebook posts, etc.

The guilt comes in because I have met (I'm not close to her, but I've met her) Jenn in real life, and I feel terrible complaining about anything, especially using my name, because I wouldn't want her to see it and get mad at me. I know, I am a little pathetic< I care too much what people think about me. She is very nice, and I used to sympathize with her, but I don't agree with some of her posts, either, such as the one from the other day where she said "I don't mean to be disrespectful, but...". I can understand things going wrong for a few days, but a few weeks? over a year? That is when it gets out of hand. I don't even know what I would say to her if I saw her in person right now.

The new website is also AWFUL. duplicate set names, dies not showing up with stamp sets, when you sort by color the Copic collections don't come up half the time, no tip sheets...we could go on and on.

I don't know what I am going to do about ordering this month, I really don't.

I know I, too, enjoy going back and forth between here and the forum. I get a laugh out of both.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Working on e-mails from the 25th... that's funny b/c I sent an e-mail on the 20th that has not yet been responded to.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Hi, 11:49, I know your feeling. I've met Jenn too and genuinely like her as a person, but I agree her forum presence recently has been less than helpful and no where near polite. I'm also having a GC issue with my order, and I don't think it will get fixed.

I really try to keep the ides of Jenn I have from meeting her compartmentalized from forum-Jenn, but that line is quickly getting blurred.

I will be placing my last order for a while, using the last of my points later this week after I've had a chance to inventory my paper.

    ReplyDelete
  76. My release night issue got a generic response...but nothing else

So my ASS they are working on the 25th

working on just means "we've given a generic half assed response to people with problems up to the 25th !"

    ReplyDelete
  77. I think most everyone would understand if the owners offered legit reasons for what is going on. We don't need to know everything, but the awful excuses and total lack of explanation is insulting. Just out & out tell us WHY the 2011 sets can't be mailed. When left to speculation I think the majority are thinking, "because they just don't care." Give us SOMETHING to work with. It just comes across that they are either totally apathetic or they are hiding something.

    ReplyDelete
  78. I know lots of great teachers. But don't assume that every teacher works hard. Some don't.

    Generalizations :p

    ReplyDelete
  79. OMG hysterical!! Dori from Nemo! That must be it - that's whose leading the charge, LOL!!!

    ReplyDelete
  80. Even sub par teachers work their hearts out at an average of 13 hours per day and 14 hours every weekend. There are so many teachers looking for jobs that if a teacher is not producing they will be replaced in an instant.

That aside, I got an email from Jenn saying my 2 issues had been fixed. Wrong--neither had changed a bit. They are not fixing, they are deflecting.

    ReplyDelete
  81. who is leading the charge

    ReplyDelete
  82. 11:49 WTF!?!

I've had about enough of this shit.

Think about it people. If you were NH. If you were JE. HOW CAN YOU KEEP GOING ON LIKE THIS?!?!

JE must feel like a complete ass. So grow a frickin' backbone and stand up for yourself, this company, the customers - SOMEBODY!!

And stop putting NH on a pedestal for crying out loud. If she's the driving force, if she's the reason this company is successful as so many people have said -- then don't you think she could do something about this?!?!

Forget that she's not "customer service." Who gives a frick anymore?! Somebody should have enough decency, enough concern, enough self-esteem and common sense to step up to the plate.

They don't deserve a business if not a single one of them can rise to the occasion.

    Give me a break.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Oh yeah, 11:49 - DON'T PLACE YOUR STUPID ORDER.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Dont think I would be too quick to admit I was "active" in the website rollout.

And I rollout websites for a living.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Wish PTI had someone who rolled out websites for a living ;)

It's got to be weird to be making excuses all the time and then realize that some of your customers or at least people following this drama actually know more about your business than you do.

    ReplyDelete
  86. I was just thinking the same thing about Rick saying that he was active in the rollout of the website. I certainly wouldn't want to say that out loud!!!

    ReplyDelete
  87. It makes me think that it might not actually be what he does for a living any more...maybe there's a reason for that.

    ReplyDelete
  88. 12:45... Exactly. One of my first thoughts when I saw the new site was how embarrassed I would be to have it in my portfolio. And the sheer number of bugs three weeks post-launch is even more shameful.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Many times I have thought to myself bullshit on their excuses. I KNOW it's BS, not I think. And wonder how many others know it too. I mean, do they really think none of their customers are educated in the respective fields.

My favorite was the cart dumping one. "because our IT is working on the site, and everytime he reloads, it dumps the cart?" That may be true, but if that was the sole reason, who the hell told your IT guy to make updates to the site during your peak release ordering? Just say you don't know why FFS or look like a dumb ass.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Is the forum down? It won't load for me anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Your pinterest scavenger hunt sounds like fun Ted. Just make sure to clearly label your thread so that I can avoid it. ;-p

    ReplyDelete
  92. ITA - If I were Rick I wouldn't have admitted to being involved in any way. It bugged me 'cause he almost said it like he was bragging. Is it possible that they don't realize the magnitude of how *bad* they look?

    ReplyDelete
  93. ^^^ Admitting you are involved in that website is like coming onto the forum and saying, "Yeah, that SASE was my idea. You're welcome."

    ReplyDelete
  94. Hahaha @ the SASE comparison!

    ReplyDelete
  95. I haven't ordered in over a year, but if I had I would be so tempted to actually send them a SASE with a note that says, "Please send my merchandise, my tracking number, my refund, my thank-you set, my replacement stamp, my postage credit, my 2011 anniv set, and my gift certificates. Thanks!"

    ReplyDelete
  96. Self Addressed Stamped BOX.

    Lol.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Self-addressed Stamped POSTCARD asking for an explanation / apology.

    ReplyDelete
  98. I just reread Nichole's note to our customers.
I think I would like to print off a copy and mail it to her with a large red OVERDUE stamp across it.

    ReplyDelete
  99. ^^^^^^
    AWESOME idea!!

    ReplyDelete
  100. People are posting like it's some big accomplishment that they got their order? Or got a tracking number?

Besides SAD that it's such a big deal to get decent CS, it's a slap in the face to all of those people with problems.

just keep it to your freaking self.

    ReplyDelete
  101. ^ I know, right? I'm tempted to reply & say, "That's super!! Please let us know in 3 weeks when it actually arrives & tell us what is missing! Good luck!"

    ReplyDelete
  102. So now only complainers are allowed to post? Not everyone is boycotting PTI. For those that still want to order, I think they might appreciate knowing that orders are going out and the shipping notice issue has at least been worked on, if not fixed. Not everyone had problems last month. Those people without problems have as much right to post as those that did have problems.
And before someone else says it, 2:04pm started the hand slapping, I just slapped back!

    ReplyDelete
  103. I was going to point out (before PTI defender got all huffy) that it's nice to be able to vent here so that not everything has to go to the forum.

I am trying to be respectful of those that want to keep things light and fun by not posting on their threads and just keeping my opinions to the cs threads.

I have posting things here that I would otherwise feel the need to post over there. Things that would not necessarily be helpful but aren't mean either.

    ReplyDelete
  104. I agree that this is a great place to vent & laugh about it all. I think 14:05's point is that it seems like such major victory when something bad *doesn't* happen. As in, "I crossed the street and didn't get hit by a bus!" Even more funny when the PTI order isn't out of the proverbial woods yet. The only success is that the order *appears* to have gone through. Lets all celebrate when the transaction is 100% complete. It's also no victory when one brags that they have cut in line, so to speak, in front of unresolved issues and undelivered orders. IMO thats not cool.

    ReplyDelete
  105. My daughter is in elementary school and I have a several relatives and friends who are teachers - I frequently hear them mention how they are so busy during the day that they sometimes don't even get to take a bathroom break. I could see posting on a forum once or twice, but he is several times throughout the day!

    ReplyDelete
  106. I just don't get the, "Well I got mine so screw you" mentality that still-ordering customers have. I imagine these are the same people who turn a blind eye to child labor, or animal testing, or any number of wrongs ... as long as they got their fat share.

    ReplyDelete
  107. @ 14:31 ITA. How many of them can do all of that AND browse Pinterest playing scavenger hunt? I'm just impressed, that's all. If we put Ted on the CS emails his multi-tasking abilities would be the bomb!

    ReplyDelete
  108. @ 14:31

I really doubt that Ted is on the forum during class time (no I'm not Ted lol) - probably during his lunch break or during his prep period. Some teachers are pretty lucky and they can get up to an hour for each, most teachers though barely have time to inhale a yogurt and pee before getting back to class.

PTI doesn't need Ted or anyone else doing their CS - they need to put some policies in place and stop being so greedy and mistrusting of people. If someone places an order and says they didn't get something when really they did - well, then you, as the company, write it off at the end of the year or whatever companies do.

    ReplyDelete
  109. 14:28, I agree. Uncool to brag. And have these people who ordered on Sunday actually LOOKED at their tracking number? Has it only been a label print and not left the warehouse? My guess is yes.

    ReplyDelete
  110. I totally got 14:05's point and liked that she posted it here instead of on the forum. I also understand what 14:15 was saying when he/she posted asking if only complainers were allowed to post.

The forum is open to anyone and I personally don't have a problem as long as people can stay respectful.

I am not really hearing the "I got mine so screw you" mentality. What I am hearing is people that are desperate to keep their happy place and try to lighten up the mood that is so colored with LEGITIMATE complaints. I hear desperation more than arrogance in the forum posters.

  111. Good grief, craftycindy is all over the place!

  112. quote "PTI doesn't need Ted or anyone else doing their CS - they need to put some policies in place and stop being so greedy and mistrusting of people. If someone places an order and says they didn't get something when really they did - well, then you, as the company, write it off at the end of the year or whatever companies do."

Ya think?? I was being facetious.

    ReplyDelete
  113. @ 14:39 The problem is is shouldn't BE a happy place right now. People are being SCREWED. Ordered are messed up. Credits are missing. Answers and Owners are absent. We all want a "happy place" but why not work together as a community in good AND bad?? Forum members used to care about each other and help each other out. I can't stand to see nice people being treated like shit. Even if that means it's raining in happy-land.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Nichole and Jenn have both said that they read every thread. If nobody speaks up then there is no possibility for change. Even the dumb-as-shit SASE idea would have been a go if the customers hadn't revolted. I'm sorry for those who want to turn a blind eye but some of us want to stand up and make a difference.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Sorry, I wasn't saying that I agree with the happy threads, I just understand why they are posting them.

  116. Someone needs to bump that anniversary thread to the top - even with a smiley face or something!!!

    ReplyDelete
  117. @12:27, I don't know where you're getting your figures, but to say that even sub-par teachers are putting in 13-hour days and an additional 14 hours on the weekends seems highly unlikely. You go on to say that any teacher not 'producing' would be replaced in an instant. I've spent all of my life living in three different states on the east coast. It takes a great deal of work to get any teacher "replaced in an instant." Murder charges come to mind as one set of circumstances that could make it happen.

  118. I wish I knew who some of you bitches are! It's a shame we can't out ourselves, but look what happened on the piece of cake thread :(

    1. The thread is titled "graphIcs hard to read".

My inside voice wants to post "your thread is hard to read" in all lowercase with no punctuation.

That would not be helpful though.

  126. Jennifer hasn't posted all day. The last thing she said was that they were working on emails from the 25th.
Maybe she said she wasn't answering anything on the forum 'till those other people had answers for her.
Maybe she quit. I wouldn't blame her.

Save yourself - and Nichole while you are at it.

  127. I posted this the other day. Someone needs to introduce craftycindy to punctuation and grammar. It's terrible!!

  129. omathgoddess, good question about whether or not there will be a contest during the countdown during this release since comments are turned off on Nichole's blog.

Maybe Nichole will just have to post a disclaimer stating that any submissions that refer to customer service issues will be disqualified. :-D

  130. Those anniversary sets better get sent out or there will be a revolt!!

    ReplyDelete
  131. Well, the anniversary set thread is getting pushed farther and farther down on the boards ... anyone want to comment on it to bump it up?

  132. I love omathgoddess.

  133. I don't think teachers have much of a chance to post during the day - unless they are on a lunch break or free period. Usually there is almost no time to eat or use the washroom, from what I hear!

    ReplyDelete
  134. Yeah, I'm a teacher and my lunches are busy with tutorials or photocopying. So no time for a spare moment much less posting or reading the forum!

    ReplyDelete
  135. I haven't checked out craftycindy posts on the thread but it makes me think of 'hotwheels' on SCS who has cerebral palsy or something and can't really formulate sensible sentences or has a hard time with the keyboard I think.

I heard from someone using a lot of run on sentences and it turned out she was elderly and probably had a hard time typing.

    ReplyDelete
  136. I meant craftycindy posts on the PTI forum.

    ReplyDelete
  137. I've just started reading CraftyCindy's posts in the voice of Boomhauer from King of the Hill. No punctuation needed.

  138. 16:09 made me laugh out loud and snort a little bit.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Sorry Smacker... I think you are going to need to open new space 3 times a day with the upcoming circus day release. :)

BTW I'll out myself if you want. :)

    ReplyDelete
  140. Oh, I know, on the PTI forum... it's just that maybe she has a similar situation or something. That's all :)

    ReplyDelete
  141. And yes I can't read craftcindy's posts. They give me a headache. I haven't said anything because you never know what disabilities the person might have. I just ignore her posts, since I'm not bright enough to read them without going cross eyed.

    ReplyDelete
  142. I don't know Nancy but I love her. Check out her post on the 2011 Anniv thread. BTW that thread has gotten more views than Nicholes "letter to customers" from November. Any other business would care about that...

    ReplyDelete
  143. I do not think that English is Craftycindy's native language. My guess is that she speaks only broken english and that is why her grammar is so poor.

    ReplyDelete
  144. I think you're right about craftycindy.

  145. One day I'm going to forget to click "Anonymous" and blow my cover :(

  146. Good grief. If Ted cannot post there on his WINTER BREAK or on his lunch breaks without being labeled a lazy teacher, some of you really have no idea. Have you seen his pictures of his classroom. That man must work 20 hours a day! He isn't a good teacher if he has a life???

    ReplyDelete
  147. I've been around the forum since the beginning of the forum. Before Ted. He has always posted always & often. Not that there is anything wrong with that... Just saying.

    ReplyDelete
  148. I think he also mentioned having a student teacher which creates huge boredom once they are to be on their own. I have been there several times and you really do have time to read, post, etc. I know of no teacher who shirks their duties. It is not a job anyone goes into for the money. They go into it to do the job. Let's lay off the teacher bashing. Most of them have frozen wages for years and work horrendous amounts.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Is it odd that the number count on posts doesn't seem to increase as people post? I just noticed it with Nancy on the anniv thread. The reason I ask is, don't newer members with lower post counts get censored easier? Am I reading too much into that?

    ReplyDelete
  150. craftycindy, she's the woman that was asking about PTI stuff to sell in her store (her words)

"I was going to to order it and orer some things that I could resell in my little scrap store so what would be your number one choice to walk into a little scrap store and want from papertrey I can't wait to hear some of your replies but hurry I want to order right away"

She can type coherent sentences, but she says that she just types what she is thinking.

    ReplyDelete
  151. I agree. Picking on Ted for what he says is one thing, but questioning his dedication to his class is quite another. Certainly he appears to be a very organized, efficient, sincere human being. I doubt his class is coloring pictures while he plays on the internet.

    ReplyDelete
  152. Ted is a 40-something man who lives with his mother, posts hair-flip posts all day in a predominantly female forum and has demonstrated that he requires a lot of attention. He says he's a teacher but posts all day long. Frankly he's not someone I would ever hang out with - and if I was a parent of one of his kids then I'd probably be a little disturbed. To each his own, but he is one of those people that makes you go hmmm....

    ReplyDelete
  153. @ 17:16

Do you mean the post count below their avatar?

My guess is that when you look at their older posts, it has been updated to the most recent posts.

So, if you are on post 20, all your previous comments also show up as post 20.

Just my guess since the avatar picture is always the most recent one, regardless of the avatar you were using when you originally posted.

    ReplyDelete
  157. @ 17:44

Yes, the one below the avatar. I see what you are saying. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  158. @ 5:50 - bankruptcy? Interesting thought. With all the money tied up in inventory, perhaps that's the real reason they're so hesitant to return people's money. They could be seriously overextended. They may be a popular company, but if the money's spent foolishly, they may be popular and not profitable.

I wonder if their DT gets paid or is it payment in merchandise? Shouldn't free stuff each month and the prestige be payment enough?

    ReplyDelete
  159. I've wondered the same thing about bankruptcy. Something just doesn't add up that they can't hire ONE minimum wage CS person, apparently can't afford to mail a stamp correction (hence the SASE fiasco), or that they would go uber cheap on the website. We all know they are selling the stuff ... but where is the money going??

    ReplyDelete
  160. 16:26- I was thinking the exact same thing re: hotwheels on SCS. Some people have legit disabilities that make it really hard for them to communicate. When I was new at SCS I remember wondering what the heck was going on with hotwheels' posts then felt horrible once I found out about her disability. So maybe we should keep our thoughts to our selves regarding craftycindy.

  161. I like on the anniversary set thread someone already said they won't order in support of those with problems. Anyone else brave enough to post the same there? I suppose I'd be outing myself if I go make a post now.....

    ReplyDelete
  162. Which thread was it that someone said they won't order while issues are still outstanding?

I don't know if you'd really "out" yourself :) - we may know you're here too but we still wouldn't know which posts are yours.

And I wouldn't rule out coincidence if I saw someone else post that there either.

    ReplyDelete
  163. @ 5:50 I've been thinking the same thing, use the rewards and run like hell away from pti. I think the end is near......

    ReplyDelete
  164. Oh yeah I read so carefully... you already said the anniversary thread. I should go to bed maybe - sorry!

    ReplyDelete
  165. If we want to use our reward points, we still have to order over $70 BEFORE using the reward points if we want free shipping in the US, right?

    ReplyDelete
  166. Yes, in order to get free shipping your total AFTER rewards must be over $70. In other words you have to order $110 worth to use 40 points and still get free shipping. They have you coming and going. It is all a racket and makes them more money. Free doesn't really mean free at PTI.

    ReplyDelete
  167. Or else pay the shipping and order under $70.

    ReplyDelete
  168. I'd pay $6.50 for shipping and make sure I only spent my rewards on product. Knowing that my money was going to USPS and not Cedar Ridge makes me happy. It's time to get what we've earned (rewards $$) and cut bait & run.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Now here is an example of customer service!

  170. @18:06 - the DT does get paid, in addition to receiving the entire new release each month. They get paid for each post they make for the release - my recollection is that it's somewhere in the neighborhood of $50-$75 per post. They also earn "points" towards older product that they may not have received prior to their DT term.

Someone also mentioned about the new tracking numbers and how they may be "fake" just like before. I can confirm that they are in fact FAKE - surprise, surprise!! I received a tracking number and it took three days for the USPS to acknowledge receipt of my package. My package arrived three days later. I ordered on the 27th, noticed the tracking number on the 29th, the package was received at USPS on the 3rd, and my package was delivered on the 6th. So, as usual, they continue to lie and mislead their customers as far as when their order is shipped.

    ReplyDelete
  171. 20:56, not one single thing you said in your post tells me that the "tracking" numbers are fake. BTW: usps does not have tracking numbers, except on overnight service. The number you are referring to is known as a Delivery Confirmation number. Quite often they do only update once a package is delivered. That is the ONLY scan that is guaranteed on a DC. Anything in between is considered a bonus. So why do you think the number is fake?

    ReplyDelete
  172. This is better than reality tv. The alliances, those who have been booted off the island, the drama. It's delicious and I can't stop watching

^^^^^^^To whomever posted this, I have the warm fuzzies for you.

    ReplyDelete
  173. @20:56 - the tracking number isn't a fake but it is misleading. The emails usually say that PTI told them to expect a package on (date). Problem is, boxes sit empty or in a damn corner for days before they're actually out the door.

Any updates on tracking info for international customers? These ladies are paying $30+ Priority tracking and are getting f* all in return. So not cool.
