I ordered from Lilly Belles, and I think it will be here today. I'll be sure to post a review when I get it.

Second! Wow. So warnings are being issued, people are not doing all the things they usually do (no list, no felt share). I wonder if Ribbon Share girl will be out in full-force?

I hope they manage to extract their heads from their butts. Massive case of what my old boss used to call "cranio-rectosis" on the part of PTI. Damn them.

I did order {gasp}. They received and packed the order on Monday 3/5. I got it on Thursday 3/8. Please don't hate on me too much. And there are people who are still waiting on their release orders? That's f'ed up, right there.

    ReplyDelete
  3. i laugh at the people that are actually TRYING TO ORDER and can't. R U serious? If you can't even place an order people WALK AWAY!

  4. PTI Telenovela Fan9 March 2012 at 17:57

They have such a messed up system... CranioRectosis ordered on the 5th and got it on the 8th. I placed my last order (used up my points) on the 3rd. PTI sent the electronic shipping info to the USPS on the 4th, but the package wasn't shipped until the 8th... so I am still waiting.

Sometimes I wonder if my negative comments make them hold my package just to get back at me, but I don't think they are that smart or organized!

  5. The more time elapses the more awkward anything Nichole says now will be. I predict business as usual ... sunshiny cards featuring her newly inspired set, "While I was out..." Lol.

  6. @ 17:59 "and you can use your spinner die to create the look of things spiraling out of control..."

Ok, I'll stop now. It's just so fun.

  10. PTI needs to come out with an "I'm Sorry" set and send it to all customers for free. Sentiments could be "I'm sorry..."

...for losing your package in my warehouse.

...for that awful, awful website. It really was just a joke.

...for not honoring your gift certificate and 2012 credit card.

    ...for jumping the shark.

...for hiding all of the Anniversary sets under my bed.

    ReplyDelete
  11. How about a "non-answer" sentiment set?
"Happy Birthday. You should expect your present in 2 weeks!"
    "Sucks to be you! HTH!"

  12. Switching storage systems nearly did Ted in. He'll be good n busy for a while if he switches companies. Hope he survives.

  13. Loving the new stamp set inspirations. How about a mega focal point that says, "Exciting Things Are Just Around The Corner!" ...

and the inside of the card is blank.

    :-/

    ReplyDelete
  14. I have a card concept concept for the zipper die.

    Big font: SURPRISE!!!!

Pull open the zipper and underneath it says, "You're on double secret probation."

    ReplyDelete
  15. Wait...Ted said he was looking for greener pastures? What about the star set that goes with the dies he just ordered? What about the completist in him? How will he survive if he doesn't have the rest of the Heart to Heart and Framed out series? What if they come out with dies for Year of Flowers???

  18. Somebody posted here that they saw him over on GinaK's blog. There is a disturbance in the force.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I'm Sorry Additions based toward the customer is never right...

    I'm sorry...

...you thought I was going to send you a refund.

...you thought I was going to honor our shipping policy.

...you were stupid enough to send back a defective die using more than $2.00 postage.

...you thought we actually wanted you to STAMP with our inks.

...you have to send us proof of purchase for the 12th time. We really want you to WANT that crappy Anniversary set.

I could do this all night.

    ReplyDelete
  20. @ 18:39 - every single time I read the word "completist" I think of Ted and wanna slap someone. I HATE that word. Ted and his sheeple may talk the talk, but they're always the first ones in line, credit cards in hand. Sad.

Loving the feistiness on the PTI forum. Seems the vocal majority are finally putting cloiseaux and co. in their place.

Wonder if little miss look-at-me's package is on the move yet. HAHAHAHAHA

  58. I kind of don't get the whole House that Stamps Built thing. I mean, it's her job, but I'm sure her husband has one as well. But I'd wager that her house didn't cost that much. I have a design background and the finishes are pretty common. I don't see any Ann Sacks tile or anything.

  59. From Wplus9's blog:

Your shopping experience is important to me. So I'm always trying to improve the website. I've added a lot of little updates over the last month.

I've done some reorganizing of categories and plan to do more. But you may notice that I've created a "Companion Cuts" section where you will be able to find all dies that have a matching stamp set.
Taking it a step further, each stamp set that has a matching Companion Cut, now has the ability to add that die bundle to your cart directly from the stamp set's product page. You can click here to see an example.
I've added an FAQ page as well. This is something that will be updated and added to as needed.

    Love it!

    ReplyDelete
  60. Oh, and here's my take on a new PTI set called (In)Sincere Thoughts:

"Every word has been internalized and taken quite seriously."
"It is important to us to do the right thing."
"We care immensely about what your experience is here."
"Please understand how valued each and every one of you are."

Please note this is a $5 set. They couldn't come up with enough sincerity for a larger set.

    ReplyDelete
  61. So the "Phoenix rising from the Ashes" has been blocked on the forum.
It was people pleading with PTI to do the right thing because they wanted them to succeed.
UNTIL that cloiseux came on - her comments were totally handslapping and aggressive.
She must be one very unhappy lady.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Is Cloiseaux being paid by PTI? I hope her March release order takes two weeks to ship, is missing a stamp set, and has a defective die. That'll change her tune.

No one is waiting for PTI to fail. We're watching them fail. Over. And over. And over in the area that matters most to any business: CS. Didn't realize how many ways you could screw your customers until watching this train wreck.

And countdown post?!? Ugh. How the NH and the DT can act like business as usual is sickening. Yes, let's cheer and sing while Rome burns.

As a sports fan, every time I see the acronym PTI I think of the ESPN show "Pardon the Interuption."

@5:52 Go back and read the peeks and how many times Nichole said......by customer request, we are bringing you........
How many customers have requested for them to sit this month out and get their house in order? Why not take customer requests on that. OHHHHH and BTW......just posted a comment at PTI and it didn't show up. I must be on monitored status!! Are you kidding me?

    ReplyDelete
  70. LOL 5:07, that's a much better name for my set!!!

Talk about a blatant rip off of a Wplus9 set. From the images to the sentiments. I just may use my Wplus9 stuff, make NH's card and out myself on my blog.

Just so you all know, I will be placing an order at some time. I have reward points and I am damn sure using them up. I will take great delight in making them give me my free stuff, even if I have to pay shipping.

I did the same thing Ink Stink...LAST order with PIT. I hope that they can win me back over this time, but I don't know. It has been 5-6 months since my last order. I had to LOL when I was done and I had earned another point!!

    ReplyDelete
  73. Is Nichole even trying anymore? These dies and shapes are so simple and not innovative! Why would you need a die for the pocket - it's all straight edges! I'm usually like - wow, this is amazing - but not on day 1 today. And can I say, why must all golf sets be so male-centric. I know a lot of women who golf (including me!)

That attitude is just so, "UGH! All these abused, bloody, starving peasants are blocking my view of the castle!"

  77. I know it's just paper and stamps, but what depresses me is that this might be a true sample of what happens in a larger economy. Some people don't care about ethics and principle as long as they can get their fat hands on the pie.

  78. Yeah DrFoodie / Anna for a great, calm reply to Mbryt1. Makes me feel better that not everyone is agreeing with her. I'm INSPIRED by those who stand up for principles!

  80. Crap... don't go to Betsy's blog if you're struggling not to order. Just sayin.

  82. I got my Lilly Belles paper yesterday.

Here are my first thoughts - granted I haven't used it at all yet.

1 - it came in a padded envelope with no corner protection. Every sheet has at least one bent corner.

2 - the weight is a good comparison to PTI, except the kraft. It's more like 80 lb than 100 lb. It's almost exactly the same color.

3 - several colors are so close
    Cheeky - Raspberry Fizz
    Grenadine - Pure Poppy
    Spice - Terracotta Tile
    Caribbean - Hawaiian Shores
    Caterpillar - New Leaf

The other colors are off enough to not be close matches. The two yellows are completely different.

4- Fudge is a color I don't see myself using at all. It's supposed to be brown (I think), but at first glance it looks somewhere between black and gray. Even under the Ott light, I don't see brown at all.

5 - I didn't get Orchard in my sampler pack, and got the kraft instead, so I'm not sure how Orchard compares to anything.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I already have the WPlus9 version of the pocket stamps, and love them! They are so much better than the PTI version. The PTI version is too Jordache jeans if you know what I mean (damn, showing my age!). My Favorite Things also has a pocket stamp and die set, fyi.

Also Memory Box has a tie die (regular and bow tie options).

If PTI wasn't so screwed up, I would probably get the little birdie set and the ironworks stuff. I have a pretty loose budget for craft stuff. Too bad for PTI that none of it will go to them.

  85. From Elle on the "Can I just say" thread-
I for one think if we are truly loyal customers we should be supportive instead of beating them down. I also think it would be better to not be so judgmental and critical of every little thing. No company nor person is perfect or without flaws.

Well there you have it. I guess if all of the truly loyal customers stand together then Papertrey won't need all of us whiners and complainers. Problem solved.

  86. I must stop myself from answering this post.
"The point I was making - and continue to stand by - is that I in no way think PTI is out to just grab our money and give us nothing in return. It's true that posting on the message board does allow us to share information and updates (such as whether or not our own problems have been fixed). I think what is bothering most people is the comments that either imply or state outright that PTI is taking people's money with the intent to not make things right."

This is NOT what is bothering most people so bite me.

  101. OLD GIFT CERTIFICATE10 March 2012 at 11:18

Simply follow these clear as mud instructions to redeem your GCs:

Our new clusterfucked system would not accept code to accept old gift certificates, so new codes have been issued and emailed to those with outstanding Yahoo store-based gift certificates and the letter Z through G in their last name. Those are easily identified by the @ followed by many random letters (excluding S through J in first name only) and a skull shaped wing-ding following the numbers 3 through 7 (excepting primes).

If you entered an old GC# in your order comments during checkout on the new site on the first Tuesday in the month with a J in it but no L, and the aforementioned Z through G in the last name, go ahead and walk in a circle anticlockwise three times as we will be taking care of this and applying the new code to your existing non S through J order only. And once we do so, that new non S through J in the J month (no L!) on a Tuesday code will be used.

If you think you are S through J DO NOT walk three times in a circle anti clockwise UNLESS you see your @ and skull wingding on the same page as the letters S through T (last AND first name) in the month with an R but no F and you have blonde highlights that you did at home. (This is a special group and needs to follow instructions included in attached password protected Adobe pdf file).

I have a list of many people that Dave and I have been in contact with over the last week or so, but if you have not yet contacted customer service with this inquiry, please do so with the subject line OLD GIFT CERTIFICATE UNLESS you are in the subset of those who have already walked three times in a circle anti clockwise and have no S through J in their first OR last name AND have blonde highlights that were done in the salon in the J no L month.

This will expedite the process and make sure you are taken care of as quickly as possible.

I hardly expect any stamp designers to make great cards anymore.

Nichole made that set look awesome. I like some of what Erin did, too.

I'm off to check out what the other company's Tie set looks like. I like the file folder edger die... I'd never order the TH one mainly b/c Tim Holtz is the KANG of inflated prices.
