Space!

Crap ribbon share?

Continuous shipping problems?

cknutti, little miss t and cloiseau (or whatver her name is) needing to get smacked to?

PTI Smacker 3 really hates cknutti's (nutter)'s posts.. Makes her go a little stab happy at all the irritating things she brings up to bootlick PTI owners.

It's nearly Feb and people still don't have the sets from last year.... Laughable. Ridiculous.

Space! Space for everyone!

  4. Is anybody here surprised?

Yes, why don't you email customer service for help and then wait 3 days for a canned answer that doesn't fix anything?

    ReplyDelete
  9. Whomever said that Dave would be just another person to pass emails along was correct.

Why can't PTI see what a waste of fucking time and money it is to pay two people to play telephone?

Also, I am soooooo mother effing tired of getting 'responses' to my questions that never answer my mother effing questions!!!

Getting a canned response to a specific question is insulting. It tells me two things:

    1. PTI can't or won't be bothered to actually read my inquiry; it's like they have a bot that processes emails and, if it finds the words "status of order", sends one response. If it finds the words "out of stock", sends another. It's like there is no human reading my email who can comprehend my question.

    2. PTI can't or won't be bothered to actually type my order number into their computer system and obtain a status for me.

I've been a customer since the beginning, but this is the last straw. I can't believe I've given so much money to a company that has no regard for its customers.

Also, that bitch Jenn Ellefson has been snarking it up on the boards lately. So much for a kinder, gentler presence on the message board.

I loved how, when Donna C was bitching about the fact that it took her order 19 days to leave the warehouse and it was OBVIOUS that orders are not shipped in the order they're placed, Jenn just ignored the crux of the issue (shipping out of order) and blindly stated some bullshit about the shipping policy.

The Heskamps don't give one shit about PTI. We'll see how much they care when the golden goose they're using to pad their printing profits dries up. (C'mon, who DOESN'T think that Heskamp printing prints all the bullshit labels and provides all the other 'extras' that no one wants but PTI insists on providing? Heskamp Printing would probably be in the toilet if it weren't for the bills they send to PTI. I can only imagine how 'well' Julie and Jane must run that business.

  11. Saw this while searching, it's from 2009:

"I buy from Papertrey Ink frequently. Their stamps are top quality and their cardstock, ribbon, and ink are awesome. They went though some growing pains about 18 months ago and were a little arrogant when a friend of mine contacted them as her order was delivered soaking wet (cardstock and ink pads ruined) but it boiled down to was that one of the partners was working a day job, plus taking care of her family and filling orders at night and she snapped. She did apologize and I think they've gotten past those growing pains. PTI has a top notch design team as well. I find much inspiration from each of them. If I had to pick just one company to order from it would be PTI."

  13. Where does little miss T fit in the PTI hierarchy?
At SAF, all the staff and DT were wearing these little yellow felt flowers that Nichole made with the first bloom builders dies
Lizzie Ann got one (I guess as an honorary stamp designer) but why the frick would Taheerah get one?? Is she doing something for them technically ??

The place Murray post office appears to be really fucking close to their warehouse.

    How hilarious is that?!?!?

  16. Ok I have a generic vent :-)
    (not about PTI)

    1. Food is yummy. Scrap supplies are NOT yummy. Please stop calling products "yummy" (i.e. look at this yummy stamp from such and such)

    2. and this is a HUGE pet peeve of mine.. bloggers and DT referring to things as "____-y goodness"

"Look at how cute this is, isnt it full of purple-y goodness?"

"I got some supplies in the mail and I cant wait to play with my stampy goodness" UGH!!

  25. Re: that SCS thread about PTI. WTF good does it do to tell someone who is stuck waiting way too long for their order, "Well all of my orders come in on time, so I have nothing bad to say about them."

That's like saying, "Sucks for you, biyatch!"

I wish ppl would THINK before leaving some gushing bullshit ass response that does nothing to help the person in need/venting.

    ReplyDelete
  26. and now Jenn lashes out on SCS. sweet.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Maybe Taheerah got a flower because that's the only way they could lure her head out of Nichole's ass. Or maybe because she came all the way from England to attend SAF - seriously WTF? My guess would be the first.

    ReplyDelete
  28. So with these ribbon and felt shares, the person that orders all the ribbon ends up getting tons of reward points for her own account ... interesting.

  34. Any thoughts on Nichole posting about the stamp weekend Tracey won at her 'mansion-that-stamps-built'?

I'm sorry Tracey - I'm glad you had a good time but once Nichole decided to be the face of PTI and run a business that touts excellence in every area, she opened herself up to critique and people WILL hold her to a higher standard. This is the standard SHE created.

    ReplyDelete
  35. link please (about the stamping weekend with Nichole)

    ReplyDelete
  36. So the weekend trip was really only 1 morning ?

    ReplyDelete
  37. The trip is posted on Nichole's blog.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Looks like a nice trip actually. Although it doesn't sound like Nichole did any planning. Think she could have organized a couple make and takes or something for them!

Why didn't the original winner go? it looks like it was the runnerup?

    ReplyDelete
  39. New Website coming soon... 5-10 days :-)

    ReplyDelete
  40. You're right, 6:05. NH can't take the $$$ as part of the ownership of PTI and then try to disassociate herself from the problems.

I thought the weekend was pretty weak. She obviously did no preplanning or she would have known the restaurant was closed. She only spent a couple of hours with the winner. What happened to the home cooked meal that was advertised as part of the package?

    ReplyDelete
  41. I'd rather see more of Nashville and less of Stamp McMansion myself. Lame-o effort on Nichole's part

    ReplyDelete
  42. 5:57- that was my first thought, too!

  43. Just noticed the last epi of papertrey radio says "our year-long series" as if they only ever meant to run it for a year. Riiiight. Whatever makes it seem like less of a fuster cluck.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Hey, everyone! Let's leave some reviews about PTI's service on their new Yelp page:

    http://www.yelp.com/biz/papertrey-ink-cincinnati

    ReplyDelete
  45. 18:06- I think maybe you have too much free time on your hands!

    ReplyDelete
  46. All the thousands of people who review businesses on Yelp must have too much time on their hands, then, you dumb bitch.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I think 19:54 simply meant that it seems a bit malicious to flood PTI's yelp reviews with negativity ... don't people have better things to do with their time??

    ReplyDelete
  48. Thank you, 22:10. That is exactly what I meant. I am all for honest reviews, although I put very little stock in the opinion of strangers. I think I will question those reviews even more now that I know some people are willing to trash a company's name in a review just to amuse themselves or out of spite. Whatever, 20:59!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Who said flood their page with negative reviews?

I'm not the Yelp poster, but isn't that the point of Yelp and pages like it? To honestly review businesses and provide unfiltered consumer feedback?

PTI lovers are as welcome to post there as those who've had negative experiences; what's different about posting there and here?

One might argue that posting on Yelp has more validity than posting here - at least you're providing info to others on Yelp. Here, you're just bitching or handslapping.

(And yes, I'm referring to the last two posters.)

    ReplyDelete
  50. 22:39: You're a fucking idiot.

I'm sure any negative reviews PTI receives are "just out of spite."

Being treated like shit when you're a paying customer with a legitimate complaint tends to make one spiteful, yes.

I hope your next PTI shipment is FUBAR and that you get the joy of dealing with that bullshit excuse for a customer service team they've got there.

Let's see how "spiteful" you feel negative reviews are when you get fucked by PTI's policies.

Stupid fucking bitches like you are the reason this company will keep doing business as usual. You smile as you take it up the ass and then have the audacity to talk shit to people who are pissed.

Fuck you, sunshine. Go blow rainbows up someone else's ass.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Well, the original Yelp poster came to a smack board and said "Hey everyone. Let's leave some reviews about PTI's service on their new Yelp page". I'm pretty sure s/he was hoping to "flood" the site with negative reviews. As far as being a paying customer with legitimate complaints, fair enough. But when was the last time you were a paying customer? I have read so many people on here say they are never ordering again, it's hard to tell who is a paying customer on here. If you are a paying customer with a valid complaint, absolutely write a review. But I still think trying to round up people on a smack board to leave (negative) reviews is spiteful, and a bit of a waste of time.
BTW, don't you think you are over-reacting just a bit? I didn't say anything that would elicit such nastiness, even on a smackboard.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I am a paying customer who is currently dealing with PTI's poor excuse for a customer service department.

I have one defective die and one $300+ order that was placed TWO weeks ago that I can't get shipping info on.

So, um, thanks for your permission to complain?

Seriously, are you cknutti? What's with the sanctimonious defense of PTI? Backtrack as much as you like now, but I think you really are one of those handslappy PTI sheeple that flood their board.

Do you think people should just take poor treatment lying down? Why is PTI more entitled to be treated well than their PAYING customers?

What part of "let's leave some reviews about PTI's service on their page" screamed "let's form a virtual lynch mob" to you?

    ReplyDelete
  53. PTI's shitty customer service is what's earned them their increasingly tarnished reputation. People like you would rather blame customers (current or former) for that fact than put the blame where it's due.

You're an awesome customer, though. No wonder PTI makes it clear they could not care less about remedying their issues.

People like you will lick their boots while they eff you in the a and will stamp a "thank you card" using PTI's sentiments while you're at it.

    ReplyDelete
  54. ^^^ Baahahahahaha! The visual... Lord have mercy.

    ReplyDelete
  55. LMAO...."Dumb Bitch"

  56. Just read the post about the weekend at Nichole's and I was disappointed. I thought there was too much information about the travel to Tennessee. Who cares? I wanted to see more pics of Nichole's place and scrap room. Does anyone else feel this way?

    ReplyDelete
  57. yeah I didn't like that it was more about TN than stamping, although it soundes like she was only there for a couple of hours and got scammed on a homemade meal.

I also noticed that half of her goodie bag was the goodie bag from SAF, guess they had some leftover...not very creative

    ReplyDelete
  58. What are everyone's predictions for this new website? (and seriously, I'm not trying to be snarky...think PTI will do a smooth rollout?)

    ReplyDelete
  59. I just hope the new site rolls out a few days BEFORE (or AFTER) the release.

As someone who tests websites before they go live, I would hate to see everyone crash it on its first day - and leave everyone crabby.

This way everyone can navigate it BEFORE panicking over the release... (i.e. where is the ribbon? where do I find the buttons? etc)

    ReplyDelete
  60. ^^^ I vote for AFTER! I would think they would try to minimize any issues with this month's release...it will just add more fuel to the fire.

    ReplyDelete
  61. They must be implementing some of the improvements now. I was shocked to receive an email when someone sent me a PM on the PTI boards. That never happened before.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Does anybody know of a source for Kraft cardstock - similar to PTI? I need a bunch for a project and I do not have time to wait for the shipping from PTI (I need it ASAP) THanks in advance!!

I know it wont be the same - but close would be great!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Kraft card stock by CSS:

    http://www.clearandsimplestamps.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=114&idproduct=340

    ReplyDelete
  64. thank you for the link!!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Michaels kraft is decent

    ReplyDelete
  66. 15:26, I agree. The weight is fair (especially for bargain cardstock), it takes ink beautifully and the color is nice and earthy.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Bazzill (smooth) Kraft is also nice; needs to be cut though. I get 2 A2 cards, and one 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 cut out of it.

On another track, is it just me or not - some blogs I have enjoyed following - then I notice that they get into the 'kit' thing and suddenly their creations aren't as interesting any more.

    ReplyDelete
  68. it's been 10 days since I ordered, no shipping notice, and I know it's not worth it to email them. I know, I should have known better - think I'll mail it all back when it arrives and just get a refund. Probably will be too late for the Valentine's Day projects I had planned. Sheesh.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Hey 5:58: I get your irritation.

It took 18 days for my non-release order to get to the west coast. No shipping notice and of course customer 'service' couldn't tell me anything when I inquired.

When I did receive a response, I was told that it was actually only 14 business days since my order and not 15 like I said in my email. The funny thing is that Jenn was wrong. Not only did she waste my time with a snarky non-answer, she was wrong, to boot.

This is why I put that review up on yelp. Not because I am spiteful, but because I know businesses pay attention to those things. My husband owns his own business & we take our Yelp page seriously - our great reviews there have brought us tons of business.

To the poster who claimed I have too much time in my hands, I ask what you do when you're treated poorly by a business? Do you keep it to yourself so as not to be 'spiteful?'

    ReplyDelete
  70. 14 days and still no box on my doorstep. I ordered after release and I'm in the US.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I think the anniversary and new website business slow things down even more. They definitely need a new website, but considering how they handle everything else I can't help but feel like this will be a nightmare as well.

But I don't understand all the anniversary crap. Who benefits from it? Ok they show a few old projects and give away some stamps that will likely never be delivered anyway. But what's in it for the customer? No sale! No discount! No special offers. Just an anniversary set that will be delayed.

I wish they'd forget about the extra nonsense that does nothing for the customer and focus on getting me my package in less than a month. :(

    ReplyDelete
  72. Jennifer Ellefson is doing such a great job that she gets a promotion in title and special call-out on the blog. pfffffffft!

    ReplyDelete
  73. This announcement made me spew this morning!

"Jennifer has a new title & set of responsibilities with us as our Communications Director. This means that she will be acting as our official representative on our forum, she will be handling many of the responsibilities behind the scenes here on the blog as well as coordinating the events on our forum & prize winners information, organizing the newsletters and so much more. Basically representing a direct line of communication between the customers and the three owners. With these changes, she is stepping away from the majority of her customer service responsibilities to focus on her new tasks. We are excited to work with her in this capacity and we are quite certain that you will enjoy seeing more of her as she fulfills these responsibilities."

Wonder if the new title will enable her to say anything more than "I don't know but I'll find out."

    ReplyDelete
  74. I think the anniversary shennanigans are to attract new customers through all their giveaways and contests. Poor schmucks.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Anyone else find it odd that a "direct line of communication" between the customers and the owners" has to go through someone?

    ReplyDelete
  76. And how is this new position of Jenn's going to be any different when she lives in another state??
How 'direct' can the communications be if she still has to pass the info on to the owners.
Sounds like more of the same, with a different title.

    ReplyDelete
  77. this just adds another step between Dave (now sole CS person) and anyone who has any actual power to fix a problem (Julie Heskamp). Jenn has no power or control, she's just another go between.

ugh. Maybe I'm just over it but seems like this company is incapable of doing anything right.

    ReplyDelete
  78. oh great, monthly prize winners are even less likely to ever see anything

    ReplyDelete
  79. And help me understand why she couldn't direct communications in a customer service roll? I'm in a Customr Service type of role and communicate with customerd all the time! Would probably be far more effective if it was a NEW person who is local....not too optimistic about this!

    ReplyDelete
  80. I have almost $100 rewards dollars and have decided that my last purchase from them will be to use up my rewards.

I am skeptical about the whole thing, though. They have a hard enough time refunding customers for defective product - I can't see them being willing to let customers spend thousands of rewards at once. I bet it'll turn into '3 reward dollars = 1 actual dollar" or a limit to the number of rewards you can use per order.

I predict that the reward issue will be a gigantic clusterfuck.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I totally think you are right about those rewards dollars. It's going to be a big mess and probably what they'll have to do is limit how many reward dollars you can use at once otherwise I can see them going broke. Maybe they'll limit reward dollars to non-new release stuff.

Gonna be a disaster! I smell a lot of good drama coming soon.

    ReplyDelete
  82. This the thing about customer service. The person providing the service should actually have some form of power to get things done. I work in retail. I'm not top level management, but even I have the power to do things to make people happy.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Agree with you, Trell. If all Jenn can do is carry messages back and forth, this is no improvement for the customer. And her new title implies customer service issues are being removed from her duties.

I just find it funny that someone who can be so snarky is now Communications Director.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Oh god, more Beth Silaika today. The fact that Nichole continues to use Beth as a designer, to me, shows how much Nichole works with blinders on. I just don't get it.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Seriously...Beth again?? And why can she NEVER get her posts up on time??

    ReplyDelete
  86. I don't understand how Beth and Tiffany could not even have their posts ready to go today. It just seems irresponsible to me. Both haven't even updated their blogs in months!!

    ReplyDelete
  87. Eww Lizzie Jones??!

    ReplyDelete
  88. I took a look at both Lizzie Jones and Beth Silaika.

From Lizzie's blog...not at all impressed with the last 4 cards she made. Doesn't that look like stuff any one of us can make on our own (or even better)?

Beth's stuff was a little cleaner and nice, but I really am over her princess designs. When I looked at the table cards she made recently...the pink lock and key, ribbony princess stuff she made is just not my style.

I wonder if PTI is scraping the bottom of the barrel?

    ReplyDelete
  89. I can't believe that Lizzie Jones, the "random" stamp designer from last years anniversary contest is now one of their official designers. I sure Lizzie is getting some compensation and not volunteering anymore. But what the hell? You mean there isn't enough professional graphic designers looking for work that she keeps Lizzie and Beth? This is not a company that wants to stay fresh and make changes when necessary, that's for sure!

    ReplyDelete
  90. I was annoyed that Tiffany and Beth neglected to have their posts up as well. I mean, way to be disrespectful of the opportunity.

I think I gravitate towards Nichole and Dawn's designs the most. I think they design the best and most versatile sets. It makes me wonder what goes into learning how to design stamps.

I do feel like something is missing though. I feel like there is a bit of overlap with the current group of designers.

    ReplyDelete
  91. I thought Lizzie was suppose to be a one off. What set did she design anyways? Maybe PTI is trying to cover all the bases. So far not wowed at all by any of the anniversary sneak peaks. I was all ready to play along with the contest yesterday but simply wasn't inspired by any of the DT picks for their favourites so decided to watch Madonna at the Super Bowl instead.

    ReplyDelete
  92. She designed rhythm and soul... Count me as in inspired as well

    ReplyDelete
  93. Please forgive me as I have sinned.

I caved and ordered from PTI this morning after a 7 month boycot.

Let's see how long it takes to get to me.

    Signed,
    Ashamed

    ReplyDelete
  94. Don't feel bad, Ashamed. Hope you receive your stuff in a reasonable amount of time. Since you shared, I will do the same. I've been frequenting the for sale/trade boards A LOT. So while I haven't purchased directly from PTI, I still haven't cut the habit cold turkey. I will say, on a positive note, that the shipping times are amazing!

    ReplyDelete
  95. Have no shame, 13:44...I've been doing the same thing. I know I'm still supporting PTI indirectly, but I don't mind buying used.

I just missed out on the seed packet die (which has been out of stock at PTI for god knows how long) on the FSOT board, in fact. I'd so much rather give my money to another person than to PTI directly.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Dear PTI, Please stop letting Tiffany design anything. I can do better holding the pen in my other hand.

    ReplyDelete
  97. I know 14:36 I've also been waiting for the seed packet die. Once its back in stock I'll break my boycott, use up all my points and watch PTI fade in my rear view mirror. Stupid seed packet die.

    ReplyDelete
  98. So who is happy they finally got rid of the CD cases? It *does* seem like they're attempting to listen and change things. People have been complaining quite loudly for a long time, but change is good.

    ReplyDelete
  99. I am LOVING the new packaging and agree with Aeryn that maybe they ARE listening. Hope this is a step in the right direction because I miss ordering new PTI goodies. :)

    ReplyDelete
  100. I don't get how removing the CD case does anything for them listening.

The posts on the boards have always been about 50/50 for using CD cases or not. What everyone was having issues with was the box (still there), rolled labels (fixed that), wasted sheet of instructions (still there)and wasted tissue paper (I'm guessing that will still be there too).
There isn't any really change except now we are paying the same price for less product.... not sure how that is listening to their customers. It is like shrinking the ink pad and thinking everyone would be happy with it, are they really listening?

    ReplyDelete
  101. I am completely confused by the new stamp storage system. I don't think it comes with any actual storage, right?

    ReplyDelete
  102. I hated the CD cases but at least it was something, this solves nothing. It's just an index card and you still have to buy your own DVD case. Right?

    ReplyDelete
  103. I like the slimmer packaging, but not if it means I now have to go PAY for a cd case... I don't need all those pretty instructions, but I guess some ppl do. I'd rather have a cd case than the instructions that I'll just throw away anyway.

I guess one neat thing about the instructions is that it shows coordinating product, but hell, that's on the website (where I'd see it when I'm shopping). By the time I open my package I've already ordered, so it's a bit unnecessary at that point. So I guess it's not so neat... just pretty.

1 step fwd, 2 steps back on the packaging.

  104. I find the instruction sheet a little ridiculous. Are people really that dumb? And I like how they're trying to make the "idea card" into some big "collectible" like trading cards or something. Another thing we don't need.

Why is it so hard for them to use just plain packaging like any other stamp company? I don't hear Lawn Fawn people complaining about their packaging all the time.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Add me to the list of not happy about not getting a CD case now. They could at least offer it as a free option since they aren't going to discount the price of stamps.
Did anyone else notice Nichole mentioned the increased cost of printing for the new packaging as why the prices won't be dropped? Win for Heskamp printing.

    ReplyDelete
  106. the new packaging is so convuluted, I just could not follow Heifer Heady's post and then realized at the end we are getting absolutely nothing to actually store the stamps in. And the forum sheeple are loving it all, of course! What a rip.

Like the poster above, I'm just waiting for my final order (three weeks now and counting, in the US) which I'll probably end up returning and say sayonara forever.

    ReplyDelete
  107. You're totally right Aeryn. I was thinking the same thing about WMS's packaging. Noone complains that she doesn't include sufficient instructions for her stamps. SMH.

Convoluted is the perfect word for this change.

And I agree... the only one who wins out is Heskamp printing.

    ReplyDelete
  108. You gals are so smart that Heskamp are the only ones benefiting from this!! Seriously - the amount of waste- paper, ink, plastic in one package of stamps. Get rid of the plastic box. Who needs that? Who needs the instructions? What other stamp company does this?

    ReplyDelete
  109. i use the CD cases - but I am not in an uproar over them not providing them anymore. Its a total waste for people who don't use them.

I don't understand the people on the forum getting cranky at PTI for changing packaging and impacting how they choose to store their stamps. Its like getting mad at Tide for changing the size of their bottles cuz now they wont fit on your shelf.

It does seem like they shoved a bunch of un-necessary extras in there - but we will see :)

Im more concerned about the new labels - they wont fit on my cd cases :-)

    ReplyDelete
  110. I'm glad for the flat labels but the new printed card to put it in seems like a total waste. Score one for the printing company.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Heskamp printing just can't kill its golden goose, people! And y'all know that's what PTI is for that company.

I wonder how Heskamp Printing treats its non-PTI customers? They can't be doing very well if their customer service techniques carry over from Heskamp Printing.

I am just so done with this company. It took 21 days for my last order to get to me. I spent $325 in one shot and couldn't even get a damn shipping update from customer service. I was told 7 days ago that my order had "probably gone out". I have given up on getting acregund for a defective die, but I did file a complaint with the BBB over that issue.

In all of this, i also had the pleasure of dealing with Jennifer E's snarky pseudo-responses, and then I got my hand slapped here for being fed up enough to create a review of the company on Yelp.

I would still like to know what that handslappy bitch who thought it was 'extreme' does when she has a bad experience at a business. Do you continue to recommend them to others?

Do you consider the BBB to be a spiteful organization, too?

Do you think consumers should just take poor treatment quietly & leave other customers in the dark while you're at it? You were really quick to handslap, you moron. Why won't you answer these simple questions?

    ReplyDelete
  112. We just want stamps, not packaging. All the printed stuff could be on the web for those who want it. It's not as if people can't use the internet - it's how they order the stamps in the first place.

    ReplyDelete
  113. I am not the hand slappy bitch, but I do feel for you sister. To have spent that much money and still be waiting. Holy crap I'd be posting bad reviews all over the interwebs, yelp, BBB, etc. Go for it. They should not be permitted to treat customers the way you (and countless others) are being treated.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Its like getting mad at Tide for changing the size of their bottles cuz now they wont fit on your shelf.
    --------------------------------------
I respectfully disagree. At least Tide gives you a means to store the product. It's not like you have to go buy your own bucket then pay to fill it up with detergent.
PTI needs to offer storage of some sort rather than make us buy it separately.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Same thing happened to me! I've been trying to get an update for days and they aren't even sure if my package has shipped or not but told me to email them if I don't receive it.

    ReplyDelete
  116. 13:37, do all the other stamp companies you buy from provide storage for you? They don't for me. Just wondering if perhaps I'm buying from the wrong companies.

    ReplyDelete
  117. So Nichole posted on Feb 1st that the new website was 5 to 10 days away.

Well, it's the 7th and still no new website. Anyone want to wager whether or not it will be live by the 10th? Or better yet, why don't they wait until the 15th! hahaha!

    ReplyDelete
  118. (Clutching my pearls) Oh lordy bees...if they decide to launch the new website on release day. I'm starting to think they make decision based on some kind of bad idea dart board. It certainly seems that way.

    ReplyDelete
  119. 13:37 - do you write emails to EVERY company and ask them to provide you with a storage system? Seems to me that PTI is one of the few places that overcompensates on storage system. Most companies are content with a cardboard insert, the stamps on acetate with the images in black, and a plastic package over the whole thing. I even had stamps, like from BG, that would have "directions" on how to use an acrylic stamp ON THE PACKAGE. no extra insert I have to pay for, just plain and simple stamp delivery device.

I'm REALLY glad the stupid CD cases are gone because they just went straight in the trash, adding bulk to my garbage. Bah! And I still have a stupid plastic box to throw away. PTI, why do you have to "stand out" in such an idiotic way?

    ReplyDelete
  120. 14:18 and Aeryn-
yes, all my stamps from other companies hace come with some type of case. There are many co's I haven't purchased from yet though so I suppose I wouldn't know if theirs come with or without cases.
I just think it's lame to take that option away and not substitute anything in it's place yet still charge the same.

  122. And cknutti strikes again.....

Wow. Once again, darned if they do, darned if they don't. I'm always surprised at the amount of emotion involved and the insinuation that it's a negative thing that PTI is in the business of making money. Of course they are! If this were your company, wouldn't you be?

We are a creative bunch. I have confidence we can each figure out our own way to make the new packaging/lack of CD case work for us. It's not worth the agony and argument. Like it? Buy it. Don't like it? Don't buy it. No big whoop.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Re: the change in packaging. Let's see if I got this right. Take your stamp set bill of materials. Subtract rolled paper (and the rubber band and, most importantly, the labor to put that idiotic thing together). Next subtract the cost of the CD case that is no longer included. Now add one piece of paper printed by Huckster Printing Company.

Let's all do the math and see who the winner is in this change.

If you need a hint, it's not the customer.

    ReplyDelete
  124. LOL... Bad Idea Dart Board. FUNNY.

13:37 - you must only buy stamps from SU! cuz i buy from LOTS of different companies (Hero Arts, Fiskars, Paper Smooches, Lawn Fawn, Market Street, TPC Studios, Inkadinkadoo, Our Craft Lounge, Stampers Anonymous, Waltzingmouse) and not a one of them have storage included.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Would everyone be happier if the price of the stamps went to $23.60?

Because that is *about* the price of that stupid cd case.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Out of curiosity, do most other companies price thier sets at a flat rate like PTI does?

    ReplyDelete
  127. Am I the only one that finds cknutti to be amazingly condescending?

    ReplyDelete
  128. Someone asked Jenn about the size of the new DVD cases that PTI are going to sell -

Her reply was that she didn't know and would get back to the forum with the info when she could find out.
Isn't this the same response as always.

As the new Communications Director surely she should be able to supply this info. Or at least find the answer before giving the usual 'don't know' reply .

  129. No Trell, you're not the only one.
By the way, do you prefer Trell or Terrance?

    ReplyDelete
  130. Trell, I combined my Blogger profile with my Google+ profile and I didn't notice my government name was on my Google+ profile.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Ummm, no, I won't be buying PTI logo tshirts and water bottles.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Trell, you are definitely not alone in that observation.

    ReplyDelete
  133. How can Jenn not know a simple question like that? If someone was asking what that DVD case was made of, ok, then I would understand. If they are announcing this, why wouldn't she know?

Just another example of the clusterf*ck that is this company.

Hello?? conference calls, weekly meetings. Act like a legitimate business!! (sorry rant over - I need more coffee)

    ReplyDelete
  134. Cafe Press tshirts? How lame. Hire a professional screen printer. Although last time they did that they had a typo on the t-shirt.

Glad they finally updated the cardstock sampler though.

    ReplyDelete
  135. I haven't read all of the comments yet, but to the ppl asking why I don't expect OTHER companies to provide storage for me I have to say this...

The reason I'm upset that they took away the CD storage is b/c it's something that I was paying for in the purchase price. And now it's something I'm going to have to pay extra for. If they had lowered the price and removed the CD case, I wouldn't care nearly as much. I don't think the cost of that stupid as instruction sheet makes up for the storage use I got from the CD case. Certainly not when you consider the fact that most ppl will throw away the instructions sheet and have to pay a now inflated price for the CD storage.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Wow... love the new MFT dies.

    ReplyDelete
  137. I am so sick of hearing about the cd cases. SU and CTMH are the only ones I know of that provide storage for their stamps. How much do the freaking CD cases cost anyway? I store my stamps in DVD cases, so I've always had to pay for storage. Mine cost about $1 each online. Now at least I won't have to trash all those cd cases. If you don't want to pay for storage store it in the box. Or get ziploc bags.

I definitely need to take a break from the forum and here. Get a grip. Geeez.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Really 7:03??? You want them to lower the price by what? $.10? I seriously doubt they paid more than that per cd case considering the bulk they probably bought. Is that $.10 worth this grief???

I don't get it. And while I think PTI CS sucks, their prices have been consistent and not going up.

Someone on the forum mentioned that CTMH lowered their stamp prices. Yes they did just a bit, but all of their paper prices went up. Unlike PTI who hasn't raised paper, button or ribbon prices since I have purchased from them.

    ReplyDelete
  139. I agree with 7:48. I'd see being ticked if were weren't talking a difference of cents here. There's no way they paid more than .10 for those CD cases in bulk. They were cheap, shitty, bits of plastic. They got cases of thousands of them and paid next to nothing per case. Hell, empty cases for the consumer don't cost all that much when you buy in bulk.

I think it's dumb they don't just come out and SAY that the price won't come down cos the CD cases were cheap, but that's the bottom line. Changing the price by .10 is just annoying and more of an "f you" than not changing it at all.

  140. These sneak peeks are making my decision not to buy easy. I hate everything Heady's previewed so far.

Also, cknutter really needs a giant serving of STFU.

These PTI cheerleaders/handslappers really get my goat.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Placed a big order with MFT last night

    ReplyDelete
  142. Color me shocked! I ordered from PTI at 7:31am on 2/6 and it was actually picked up & scanned by UPS at 7:35pm on 2/7 scheduled to arrive on 2/13.

I figured that it would be at least 3 days before it left PTI.

    Signed,
    Ashamed

  143. I actually love all the PTI Gear. I think the prices are reasonable and the designs are cute and varied. Something for everyone.

They may suck at their shipping and cust service, but they are innovative.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Who would wear this gear? Seriously?

Are the printed pattern paper done by Heskamp??

    ReplyDelete
  152. One of the Waltzingmouse DT members wrote that peeks start on the 26th???
