Totally like the circus theme that is going around now. Called it a few months ago (not here, with the DT I am on).
I've been thinking of getting the WPlus9 one, but the one Cricut cart that has Circus stuff has been sold out since the Spring. If I didn't have so much money tied into that machine, I'd be so on a Cameo. Then again, I think I make my best shiz with stamps, ink, and dies.
Dont you think PTI must boil when they see what the DT's do after they leave?! I am surprised they dont have a "polucy" saying they cant design for X amount of time after leaving.
I think the circus set is awesome if I was into that type of design.
I'll be getting that circus set. No little ones in my immediate family but I justify these types of stamps for the cards I make for children's hospitals, special card requests for sick kids, etc.
Not a fan of the writing either. But it's a vintage touch, I guess. LJ seems more excited about this release than any of her PTI ones. I was hoping for a circus style alphabet set though.
Wow just saw the newsletter about the DVD cases.... It is way cheaper to get from tapeonline now. Before PTI was $0.83 plus you could get free shipping and points. Tapeonline is 0.88 and even with shipping it is $1.00 ea when I ordered.

At least there was an announcement. It would not surprise me in the least if they just raised the price and then got defensive when it was brought up on the forum.
the announcement was on the newsletter, which even people who have been ordering for years get hit or miss. There is no announcement on the website and nothing on the forum or Nichole's blog. So I don't really count it as an announcement.
I'm not a uni, but where else to put important "NEWS" than in the newsletter? I don't see other websites putting explanations for price increases near their products... If you want the news, subscribe to the newsletter. Seems simple.
Can anyone explain why it takes PTI 3+ weeks to get dies back in stock? Really frustrating.......... ---------- Why? Cash flow or bad credit history. In this economy, if you throw enough money at a manufacturer or are known for paying promptly, you get your stuff fast. 3 weeks for a few hundred dies is crazy when they can press several from each sheet of metal.
Pricing increases could and should be explained on the store website. Yes, it's a NEWSletter but they already know that it doesn't get delivered to people who've signed up for it. Wonder if Nichole is kicking herself for breaking the TOS and posting the link to an alternate (& now cheaper) supplier. LOL
beacuse their newsletter isn't distributed regularly and they know it. I typically have anywhere from 2-4 months a year I don't receive it. There is no rhyme or reason as to why it doesn't come through. My co-worker is the same way - luckily we haven't both missed the same month. If you email CS and ask them to send you a missed newsletter they won't do it, so then you miss out on the info because they post it NOWHERE on their site. Shit, at least have a link to the latest newsletter on their website... how hard would that be?
Also, waltzingmouse also posted on her blog and the store website that there would be a price increase fo rthe whole week before it happened. So don't give me the crap line that no one does it.

Really? You're comparing PTI to Amazon? And Amazon does notify you when you access your cart of pricing changes for anything you currently have in your cart. Even if it's $0.02. What a joke, huh?
Amazon does let you know if the price goes up or down on items already in your cart. Besides, it's not a fair comparison since Amazon is a lot bigger and distributes a huge variety of products from themselves and other sellers. PTI is all about PTI.
Why isn't there a thread yet about the DVD cases (or did big brother delete it already)? Considering the people unhappily waiting for the restock, they can't be thrilled that they've gone up already.
What I hate more than anything with PTI is that they treat us all as if we are so stupid. Trying to tell us it is the machine that has the problem and not the IP plate when all your plates don't do the same thing in your machine? I hate the constant, constant implication that we are all dishonest idiots.
I like that the MFT circus dies leave a nice border. The writing on the animals is a little off putting. I wasn't sure what the blob in the corner was until I enlarged the image and noticed the stamp for 'seal'. The product looks good but the cards were kind of 'meh' for me.

what the hell is that image on the 2nd & 3rd card supposed to be anyway? i've never seen that label shape before...looks like a deformed scuba mask. i get the concept and appreciate it, just don't like the misshapen label thingy.
I'm not wild about Becky O's new set at Gina K, either. It reminds me of Tiffany Pastor's stuff for PTI, which I don't like. I do like Lisa's new set for MFT but I'd like to know what the script is on the animals? Would prefer they be solid and let me stamp text on them if I want it. But still a nice set.
I wonder if the Brilliant Business Women will put non-compete clauses in future contracts. Six months to a year is standard in a lot of industries. If they were that brilliant it would have already been in place.
I haven't purchased anything new from PTI for months. So correct me if I'm wrong. But as I understand it, new sets do not include CD cases, YET the price of the sets is unchanged and now you have to PAY for a DVD case?? So in essence there is a price increase on the stamp sets??

I'm not 11:20, but I really liked Leigh and her posts, until she posted the passive-aggressive thread basically telling everyone who has an IP issue is a beginner who sucks and doesn't know how to use their machines.... that post really turned me off to her - sounds like Dawn kissing ass. I still like her work and I think she is a nice person, but I don't get why she would stoop to the level of calling people dumb because they feel they have a genuinly defective product in a such a way.
14:38, CD cases are only included in old stock stamps (ie.stamps that were put into their packaging before the change to DVD cases). When all old stock has moved, none of their stamps will include CD or DVD cases. So in effect the cost of their stamps has increased.
The DVD choice increased their profit. That was the bottom line---not making customers happy. Were it about customer satisfaction, they would have switched from CD to DVD just like many other companies have done at no extra charge. SU gives a DVD case even with their smaller sets.
14:18 and just maybe it was indeed the user's fault. I say this because I messed up one of my impression plates. Not a defective plate but rather my CB plates weren't lined up and I bent it. I sucked it up and drove on.
In my email to customer service I explained that I used the recommended sandwich (I wrote it out) and that I had run the plate through a total of 2 times.
Using that information, Julie was able to determine that a shipping refund was unlikely because the ip was broken during use.
I guess it could have been my fault. After all, I did use the product.

Why are there no points in your summary regarding people's actual experience with PTI's customer service? the threads that have disappeared on the forum? the general discussion of other companies' new products?
The reason your list doesn't cover these things is because you would like to dishonestly portray this blog as hate mongering and dishonest gossiping, nothing more.
Your final point is why I'm replying to you. I'm angry with you. I personally WOULD like PTI to get their house in order. Presently I feel guilty every time I pay them money, because I don't feel that they deserve it. I'd like to go back to purchasing with a clear conscience. I'd like my PTI experience (from website to collection of my package) to be a pleasant experience. I'd like to be able to rest, knowing that if I have a CS issue it will be dealt with honestly and respectfully.

I just saw the update for the dvd stamp cases that will now be sold for 4 cases for $5. It said due to costs, damaged cases shipped and so on I am now trying to figure out if its cheaper still from Pti or stick with Tapesonline. What are your thoughts on it?

Does anyone remember who recently posted on their company blog that they were moving into coordinating papers and ink? I seem to remember the posting had a picture of a Momento ink pad, three coordinating Copic colors and cardstock.

Got a message back from Rick (on Zendesk) saying that the forum should be working now... The message was sent sometime after 7:00 am (didn't pay much attention so I can't remember the exact time). I tried the forum and it is working for me. Hope it works for everyone else.

Julie does not care about customers
This has been proven time and time again based on the copied/pasted email interactions with Julie where she happily told people PTI was not the company for them and that they should shop elsewhere. Does a caring business owner say such things? I think not.

Speaking of PTI Gear - whatever happened to the PTI stuff through Cafe Press. They announced it during the last anniversary and I've never heard any more about it. I can't even find their stuff on the Cafe Press website.
when you search on cafe press papertreyink (ptigear) doesn't come up. If you go to Nichole's blog and look at her announcement the link is there and it works.

Nichole would be nuts to NOT want OUT asap. This has got to be making her absolutely crazy and she is losing her amazing reputation down the drain daily as long as she stays. The damage may be unfixable at this point.
Looks like Rick took the For Sale/Trade forum out of the list of forums that are included in the "active topics" link. So they won't show up at all if you use that link. Not surprising, but annoying. And a bummer, since the sales are the most interesting activity on the forums lately.
You can still get to the sales forum, but you have to go there directly via the main index rather than seeing the topics every time you look at the "active topics". It will make it harder to sell stuff, so I think it sucks.
I think that there is some indication that Nichole is aware how bad the J's are at CS. The last few 'stamp error fiascos' have been postmarked Nashville That means that Nichole volunteered to send them out knowing Julie's track record of sending things out on time (anniversary sets anyone) or the only way they agreed to send out a replacement stamp was If Nichole did it- cause they are WAY to busy being mean to customers at the wharehouse
Someone just posted on the sunrise impression plate thread- Hmmmm. CS said my problem was "different" than what others reported but you just described my defective Sunrise IP to a tee. I say "defective" because I didn't force the plate. I followed recommended sandwich (wasn't tight) and ended up with: (1) an uneven impression and (2) the imprint from the reverse side showing through. The lack of consistency in CS responses is very frustrating.
So not only are there no defective plates, but this poster's plate is apparently normal.
Just read the disappointed in impression plate thread, where someone was told by CS that their problem was unique.
The last time I contacted CS I was told that no one else had reported the same problem I was having. My contacting them was the first they'd heard about it. Yet EXACTLY the same issue had been brought up on the forum by a number of different people before my own issue came up, 2 of them had said they would be contacting CS, and that was a while before I did.
Something smells rotten in the state of PTI?
Makes me wonder why some threads are ditched, is everyone who contacts CS told that no one else has their problem?

Well, PTI should raise the price of the sunrise impression plate too then because there will be a ton of refunds sought for that!

beacuse their newsletter isn't distributed regularly and they know it. I typically have anywhere from 2-4 months a year I don't receive it. There is no rhyme or reason as to why it doesn't come through. My co-worker is the same way - luckily we haven't both missed the same month. If you email CS and ask them to send you a missed newsletter they won't do it, so then you miss out on the info because they post it NOWHERE on their site. Shit, at least have a link to the latest newsletter on their website... how hard would that be?

Amazon does let you know if the price goes up or down on items already in your cart. Besides, it's not a fair comparison since Amazon is a lot bigger and distributes a huge variety of products from themselves and other sellers. PTI is all about PTI.

I like that the MFT circus dies leave a nice border. The writing on the animals is a little off putting. I wasn't sure what the blob in the corner was until I enlarged the image and noticed the stamp for 'seal'. The product looks good but the cards were kind of 'meh' for me.

I'm not wild about Becky O's new set at Gina K, either. It reminds me of Tiffany Pastor's stuff for PTI, which I don't like. I do like Lisa's new set for MFT but I'd like to know what the script is on the animals? Would prefer they be solid and let me stamp text on them if I want it. But still a nice set.
I wonder if the Brilliant Business Women will put non-compete clauses in future contracts. Six months to a year is standard in a lot of industries. If they were that brilliant it would have already been in place.

14:38, CD cases are only included in old stock stamps (ie.stamps that were put into their packaging before the change to DVD cases). When all old stock has moved, none of their stamps will include CD or DVD cases. So in effect the cost of their stamps has increased.
The DVD choice increased their profit. That was the bottom line---not making customers happy. Were it about customer satisfaction, they would have switched from CD to DVD just like many other companies have done at no extra charge. SU gives a DVD case even with their smaller sets.

Speaking of PTI Gear - whatever happened to the PTI stuff through Cafe Press. They announced it during the last anniversary and I've never heard any more about it. I can't even find their stuff on the Cafe Press website.
when you search on cafe press papertreyink (ptigear) doesn't come up. If you go to Nichole's blog and look at her announcement the link is there and it works.

Looks like Rick took the For Sale/Trade forum out of the list of forums that are included in the "active topics" link. So they won't show up at all if you use that link. Not surprising, but annoying. And a bummer, since the sales are the most interesting activity on the forums lately.

You can still get to the sales forum, but you have to go there directly via the main index rather than seeing the topics every time you look at the "active topics". It will make it harder to sell stuff, so I think it sucks.

Someone just posted on the sunrise impression plate thread-
Hmmmm. CS said my problem was "different" than what others reported but you just described my defective Sunrise IP to a tee. I say "defective" because I didn't force the plate. I followed recommended sandwich (wasn't tight) and ended up with: (1) an uneven impression and (2) the imprint from the reverse side showing through. The lack of consistency in CS responses is very frustrating.
So not only are there no defective plates, but this poster's plate is apparently normal.
There is a bad batch and Julie won't admit it.
Just read the disappointed in impression plate thread, where someone was told by CS that their problem was unique.
The last time I contacted CS I was told that no one else had reported the same problem I was having. My contacting them was the first they'd heard about it. Yet EXACTLY the same issue had been brought up on the forum by a number of different people before my own issue came up, 2 of them had said they would be contacting CS, and that was a while before I did.

Makes me wonder why some threads are ditched, is everyone who contacts CS told that no one else has their problem?
There are no problems with PTI product. How dare you say there is. There is only owner misuse of products. These people are trying to rip off PTI.
