Oh calm yourselves... I have just been steamrolled in the face by life and haven't been able to make a new post. Me =PTI is the best joke i have heard for the year so far.
Almost a year of no order from them but my new year resolution is to craft.more!!@ where do I get cardstock one oh dear!
Glad you are ok! Happy 2013! The USA did not go over the cliff!
ReplyDeleteThe US is always over the cliff....just sayin'
ReplyDeletenothings been finalized so we did go over the cliff. not surprized. i expected it.
ReplyDeleteThe real question is...
ReplyDeleteWill PTI go over the cliff?
oh sorry to see you are back. was hoping for much more drama here
ReplyDeleteis there a reason why the owner of this blog cannot pre schedule a few posts? seriously, don't set something up and then just abandon it. it is rude
ReplyDeleteI agree with the last poster. It takes 30 seconds to do for the entire year.
ReplyDelete10:29 PTI will NOT go over the cliff. Sorry to disappoint you.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the new page. I thought this blog was toast.
Just like they were suppose to close in October. They are doing fine. I believe people went to the greener pasture and now they are returning.
ReplyDeleteI tried to substitute similar products but ended up buying at PTI in the end. It ijust ended up costing more trying a different product first. So now if there is something that strikes me in their release, I buy it.
I got a Cameo for Christmas and I remember people here sharing what settings they used for cutting PTI and Stampin Up cardstock. I just spent forever searching through this blog but could not find it. Would you guys mind sharing again?
ReplyDelete13:58
ReplyDeleteI don't owe it to anyone to keep this blog running but i do what i can.. why do you feel so entitled...???
Why not simply take 30 seconds and deal once a year with the issue?
ReplyDelete^^^ ironic. You are virtually a guest here and you are arguing with the hostess...
ReplyDelete^^^OK, then. Throw pragmatism out the window. Sheesh.
ReplyDeleteThe whining about new space is so annoying.
ReplyDeleteStart your own blog and update the hell out of it if it's that important to you. Most of us aren't too lazy to scroll.
PTI's cardstock is my own personal Brokeback Mountain:
ReplyDeleteI just can't quit it!!
start your own fucking blog if it's such a bother to you that the blog owners doesn't cater to your needs.
ReplyDeletego away 18:02
ReplyDeleteI never could figure out why people don't do the logical thing and then berate those who suggest logic might be easier than defensiveness and dropping the ball.
ReplyDeletefor 22.20
ReplyDeleteTry the Bazzill Shoppe cardstock - really nice weight - colours are comprehensive and compare well to PTi - actually some colours are little more vibrant than PTI and IMO look nicer.

ReplyDelete_______
So do the logical thing start your own blog. I wont' miss your constant bitching about scrolling and new posts. Quit your fucking whining already. It's not that hard to scroll, you lazy idiot.
Cameo settings - use the Heavier/Textured CS setting BUT slow down the cutting speed if there are sharp corners or its an intricate design. Double Cut is also a good idea (unless your cutting 100's of intricate designs, then it takes FOREVER).
ReplyDeleteHaving more than one cutting mat is key if you cut multiples of the same page. While ones in the machine, you're removing the pieces off the first mat. ENJOY!!
Oh good idea about the two mats
ReplyDeleteAnd you can use the Cricut mats which are way cheaper. Just trim them to the same size as the Silhouette ones. I prefer them because they are sturdier than the clear silhouette ones plus I can use a coupon at M's.
ReplyDeleteEek! Paper smooches releasing dies... Love the 2 I've seen already! Loopy leaf and a tag! If they could get paper, I'd be in love!
ReplyDelete1424. Are the Cricut mats thicker? Do you need to make adjustments?
ReplyDeleteAnyone else think the rhinestones with the Cameo is corny? I watched the video and not my thing.
Is there another store that sells paper smooches stamps with a discount?
ReplyDeleteOrdered from IMpress Dec. 26 and found out today that they still have not shipped my order. ARGGGGGH!
ReplyDeleteOrdered from PTI Dec 26 and package will be delivered on the 4th. Shocked and happy!
ReplyDeletere Impress. they are always slow when they have a sale. and sometimes when no sale.
ReplyDeleteOrdered from Impress yesterday and it is already at the PO.
ReplyDeleteOrdered from PTI the weekend before Christmas and got it three days after Christmas. Pleasantly surprised.
Agree with the previous poster about Bazil's cardmaker's cardstock.
Has anyone seen Miss T's card on Damask Love today? She uses PTI ink and it looks awful! http://www.damasklove.com/substitute-teacher-taheerah-atchia/
I think the ink dried up before she stamped the images on the paper. I don't get that yucky effect when I use PTI ink pads.
ReplyDeleteThat is typical kissing technique. It removes some ink in the process. I think it looks great!
ReplyDelete18:54 must be a lot of fun at parties. "It would have been more logical to put all the potato chips out at once rather than refilling the bowl as it empties out."
ReplyDeleteIsn't it logical to save your breath and just POST A COMMENT rather than complaining about the lack of new space.
Dummy.
I got the sampler pack of paper from MFT and it seems good. It seems fairly close to the weight of the PTI paper, and the finish is smooth.
ReplyDeleteHave you seen the outrageous prices on the new Hero Arts Dies (you can see at Ellen Hutson)? What are they thinking. $16 for single dies???? They think we are total suckers.
ReplyDeleteHow does the "Nightshift Blue" from MFT compare to Enchanted Evening from PTI. I once loved EE, but now, I want a darker blue, more navy.
ReplyDeleteI get they are in it for the money, but there should be some sort of law against a 400% profit on an item.
ReplyDeleteit's called capitalism
ReplyDeleteJust got a bunch of dies - memory box, MFT an wplus9- at great prices from Ellen Hutson. 25-40% off! And she ships out really fast...
ReplyDeleteIs there a code needed for Ellen Hutson's sale or is the sale over? Dies are listed as regular price.
ReplyDeleteThe dies are in the overstock sale section
ReplyDeleteThank you but I will have to pass on this one. It's all just Christmas stuff. :(
ReplyDeleteNope I got a ton of memory box dies...not all Christmas
ReplyDeleteThe ones left in the overstock section are Christmas dies. She has other dies on stock they're just not on sale.
ReplyDeleteDoes it seem to you that MFT has a huge release every couple of weeks?
ReplyDeleteAll I saw on sale were Christmas dies.
ReplyDeleteOk let me spell it out for you
ReplyDeleteGo to overstock sale and click. A list of manufacturers will come up under that heading. Click memory box and the poppy stamps
I got branches, birds, butterflies, windows ( the arched ones) and flourishes. None of them Christmas and all on sale.
^^thanks! Still no order for me because the selections are meh :( maybe next time?
ReplyDeleteThese stamps and dies fascinate me:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.strongstamps.com/catalog-rubber-stamps-supplies/index.htm
Has anyone tried them?
I find Hero Arts to be overpriced anyways.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of, does anyone else think that the background map stamp in the PTI sneak peeks is expensive at $15? I totally forgot about the peeks but it showed up in my Google Reader.
I LOVE that map. I may have to break my 19 month run of not ordering.
ReplyDeleteI would not pay $15 for a background stamp at PTI unless it is 4x6 or larger.
ReplyDeleteNH mentioned that the background stamp is large.
ReplyDeleteYeah ... That damn world map stamp is screaming my name too. A lot for one stamp but more practical for those who travel outside the US.
ReplyDeleteIn other words, they go against the grain of the careers their parents had.
