Pretty slow these past few days....

Has anyone bought Amuse or Fresh inks from rhe actual store front in Seattle or is ordering online the way to go? I'm in Seattle a few times a year and was wondering if visiting the store should be part of my next itinerary.

Anonymous said...

i am holding out on buying any ink until Gina K. comes out with her new inks this winter. I heard that they are going to be AMAZING and TOTALLY worth the wait/investment.

Anything has to be better than that stinky PTI ink. I don't even know where to sell the PTI ink that I have accumulated.....

Anonymous said...

06:28, I don't live anywhere near Seattle, but I've visited the Impress store in Tukwila, which I was advised was the best of the three stores. I took a cab from the airport, which wasn't cheap, but it was nice to see the place. I'd say it's worth a visit if you're out that way. If you're not familiar with the area, it's worth calling them and getting a few pointers for what to look for when you get close to the store. The area is a bit confusing, and the store is easy to miss.

Anonymous said...

7:46 again. Yes, I bought inks when I visited the store. They had all the colors, including the refills. The ink really is terrific.

Anonymous said...

6:28 If you do go, have fun! It's always been just online ordering for me. Waiting for a sale...maybe thanksgiving? :) buying the rest of the inks to complete my colors.

Anonymous said...

I am not the grammar police but I have one user on ignore because she does not seem to use any sort of punctuation. PERIOD.
It makes my brain hurt to read her posts!

Anonymous said...

I need a new A Muse consultant. Mine just disappeared from my Facebook page. I have a nearly $220 order ready to go in a couple of weeks. Who do you recommend?

Anonymous said...

I have bought both online and at each of the 2 Impress stores in Seattle. You ABSOLUTELY should visit both stores, but the Tukwilla one is HUGE and plan several hours there.

Anonymous said...

Anyone know how often 2peas has sale promo codes (above the free shipping)? Do you get any codes if you take one of their classes? That may be a tipping point.

Anonymous said...

My family went on vacation to Seattle in 1991 (I was in my college years at the time) and we ran across the Impress store one day. It was my first introduction to the world of art stamping and I was instantly smitten for life. I bought one stamp (because the sample with gold embossing powder blew me away) and their catalog and spent the whole rest of the trip drooling over the images in it. Ahhh... good times, good times. So yeah, 6:26, I would tell you to go the store front. But that's just me.

Anonymous said...

Does anyone know of a consultant who will ship to Canada ? Thx.

Anonymous said...

8:51 I know who you mean and I have that same user on ignore.
Someone mentioned maybe English isn't her first language...and maybe she posting from her phone but I fall into both those categories and guess what?? I use punctuation!! And avoid rambling, run on sentences...

10:13 I had a hard time finding an Amuse consultant who would ship to Canada, and eventually I forgot all about what I wanted-I guess money saved for me!

Anonymous said...

06:26 here. Thanks everyone for your feedback. Will definitely be visiting Impress the next time I'm in Seattle and I will schedule a whole lot of time (hopefully for my husband's sake there's a coffee shop or a Panera breads nearby). I think I've only been to the North Seattle store which is kind of teeny tiny. Darn it - wish I was going this weekend! LOL.

Anonymous said...

8:55, re: AMuse. I've been following Melissa's blog and will place my first order with her soon.

http://totogal62.blogspot.com/

(I've ordered AMuse previously, though not through Melissa. The other consultant was someone from the PTI forum. I was not impressed with her customer service; I went looking for another consultant and stumbled on Melissa's site.)

Anonymous said...

8:51. I cant handle reading it either. You can't even pretend there is punctuation.

Anonymous said...

I am an A Muse consultant and would happily come out from hiding but I'm scared. lol

Anonymous said...

If you are looking for an A Muse consultant you can email me at

amuse4sale@yahoo.com

Anonymous said...

Are amuse inks any good? What's happening on the forum lately?

Anonymous said...

A Muse inks are the identical formula to Fresh Ink. Best ink on the market, IMO, and I have tried them all. Gina K is promising. With A Muse, the only downside is the tiny, tiny reinkers they sell.

Anonymous said...

I have been using A Muse inks since the beginnning and I love them. And yes, they are identical to Fresh Ink, forumla wise.

Anonymous said...

Melissa just got herself a new customer who is going to order a lot in a few weeks.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, I live in Seattle, and I go to the Impress store in Tukwila (the best of their storefronts) and to the Amuse store in Greenwood. There is a lot more available at the Impress store, but I like the Amuse images too, and they obviously carry more by way of unmounted sets. I have a bunch of Fresh inks, which I love, but haven't tried the Amuse inks, so can't compare. Amuse has some really cute woodgrain patterned paper.

InkStink said...

Jealous of you living in Seattle, 20:24. Heard nothing but good things about that Impress location. Sigh ... someday, maybe.
I miss LSS.

MFT cardstock is PopTone cardstock. I found 25 packages of Poptone cardstock for $6 (instead of $6.95 from MFT) PLUS they have matching dye inks, ink refills, and matching wool felt at www.awdml.com

Their shipping is $.75 more at AWDML, but they have free shipping after $50 if you use their coupon code for newsletter subscribers (or $75 everyday without coupon code).

I've been ordering from them for months and they ship out fast. Plus they have MFT, Memory Box, etc dies that I can do all my shopping at one place. Try them out..you won't be disappointed!

Anonymous said...

AWTR does not have a contact link and it won't let me sign up for the newsletter. There is no CS link either. They just lost a potential customer.

Anonymous said...

AWDML (a walk down memory lane) looks interesting. Can you tell me about their reward points? I have not checked every page of the site, but couldn't find anything obvious about it. There is a nice variety and a real address and a real phone number.

Anonymous said...

At AWDML you earn rewards points for everything that you buy. I think it works out to about 10% of your purchase goes to your rewards points. So, if you have a $100 order you will get rewards points to spend on your next order of $10. I've never really done the math, but it's nice to see that taken off my order when I choose to redeem them.

Anonymous said...

11:35 - I just signed up for their newsletter just fine and there is a contact us page here:
http://www.awdml.com/contact-us

7:21 i sold all my pti inks in lots of 6 on ebay for $30 if that helps

Anonymous said...

Does MFT sell a ribbon die - like the PTI one for breast cancer?

Anonymous said...

AMuse is having a Stamp Out Breast Cancer promotion going on all month. Get a free stamp set with only paying $3 for shipping. It's a cute set.

It's ALL over the blogs this week 2 stampers I follow posted about it (and the Go-To Gals) 2 posted the consultants they use. They are: Lori Barnett and Chris Franco

I will be ordering from one of these gals. Probably the one who lives closer to me.

Anonymous said...

Plus with the Hope set from A Muse, you get a 20% off an entire order coupon if you use it before Christmas.

Anonymous said...

Thanks for the heads up about the amuse set. My mom is fighting breast cancer and it will be so awesome to have to make her some cards...I like this place. :)

PTI Smack III. Where we come to talk about buying from every other company besides PTI.

Okay... sometimes it's about buying from PTI. I found out what happened that one time when the pallet of orders went missing in the warehouse:

http://themetapicture.com/how-to-play-angry-birds-like-a-boss/

Oh SNAP.

Anonymous said...

^^^^Hahahahhahahaha!

Anonymous said...

Wasnt that the intention of this blog?

Anonymous said...

The very nature of the existence of this blog is about alternatives.

Anonymous said...

10:23 thats a good video and explanation!

Anonymous said...

the blog evolved. started out as a place to bitch and moan about PTI, to encourage PTI to change, to quote PTI's shitty service.

It went on to get personally ugly at times against customers, bloggers, forum members, etc.

Then we mocked the DT forum activity, the rollout of the amazing new website (twice).

We dabbled with Rick, who thanks to the god that doesn't exist, has gone anonymous again.

then people crept back to buying pti, but don't want to admit it, or they buy but no one cares.

the blog periodically predicts a DT memeber will leave (when am I getting my $1000 from Rick??)

some idiot comes on to announce that PTI is going under.

basically it is now a place to fight each other, promoted your own new company, and ocassionally shared accurate and useful info about crafting.

It is pretty much a yawn fest now, but it will pick up.

Anonymous said...

Love it 14:45!

Even with it's faults, it's better than the other Smack Blog which has deteriorated in the last year to be a Studio Calico smack blog.

Anonymous said...

14:45 You are wrong. God does exist.

Anonymous said...

15:37- I know, right?

17:30- I agree with you, but you'll never convince anyone by arguing about (or "politely discussing") it over the internet. And here is a saying I saw on a bumper sticker that makes me think about how I approach the subject: "I don't have a problem with God; it's his fan club I can't stand."

14:45- you say it will pick up. Is this because you know something smack-worthy is coming, or do you predict something smack-worthy is coming, or are you just *hoping* something smack-worthy happens soon?

And that $1000 from Rick, wasn't the prediction that both Lisa and Maile were the next to leave? Well at least he should pay up $500, ha. I wonder if Maile is going to be leaving or not. After the September release people here were saying she had lost her touch (although I personally kinda liked the 'house on fire'), but I think her October release samples were as awesome as ever. The samples she did for Studio Calico (SC), on the other hand, seemed way out of character for her. I think she was trying to adapt her style to the SC look and fell a little flat. I am not usually a fan of the minimalist clean and simple style (my fave dt member is Melissa Phillips, pile it on baby!), but Maile makes me like the way she does it. So I am interested to see how her work is influenced by her dt position with SC.

Okay my novel is done. I'm in training for NaNoWriMo next month. LOLOL (Not really, I just don't shut up.)

Unknown said...

I continue to buy from PTI because I like the stamps and next to WPlus, I feel they fit into my style more than any other out there. Plus, just really like to stick with a few things instead of jumping into every bed in town. I have OCD, I can't help it.

I don't actually come here to talk smack . . . Which is probably against gay DNA, but what can I say?

Anonymous said...

Can't sleep so surfing stamping blogs. Now I really can't sleep. The grammar and creative spellings really irritate me. In the last hour:

"Easy or wot?"

"Love bloom's here"

"Tea for Too"

"yooltide"

"modge podge"

Anonymous said...

Oh, I have some early-morning blog "irritants" too! (Now watch me spell something wrong in this post!) Anyway...I HATE it when certain people say "giggle", "sigh", or "wink" in their posts. REALLY? It just totally negates what they said before it, because I now feel like I'm in a discussion with a sorority girl. (Sorry former "gamma gamma greats"....but the only people that think writing like that is cool are other "gamma gamma greats". And imbecilic scrapbookers and/or card makers!

Anonymous said...

I come to the smack blog to discuss what "brilliant business women" the three stooges are.

Anonymous said...

Wasn't the rumor that Lisa J was leaving and that Jessica was going to be next? Or was that Danielle? I always get the two mixed up.

Has anyone else seen the sneak peeks of the new CAS-ual Fridays Stamps?

http://cas-ualfridaysstamps.blogspot.com/

I'm sorry, but I'm not sending ANYONE a card with WTF on it. I know they are just trying to be funny, but I think the stamps are stupid.

I do like a lot of the new Mama Elephant stamps, and just placed an order for Geotagged and Trifecta.

Anonymous said...

I agree about the WTF stamps. I am by no means a prude but who would send that?

Anonymous said...

I'd totally send a WTF card. Not to just anyone of course, but some people I know would find it funny as hell.

Anonymous said...

god, this place is almost as boring as the pti forum. anyone want to pay me to bring some life back to it?

Anonymous said...

Knock Yourself Out...

Anonymous said...

Haven't ordered from PTI in ages, just checked out the forum and here, and must say, it is really boring on the forum - most of the posts seem to be from the DT asking their silly questions, and most of the other posts seem to be people selling stuff.
All internationals seem to have disappeared. Also no more questions on 'alternative shipping rates for internationals which must be of some relief to PTI who obviously had no intention of doing anything about it anyway.
There seem to be some newbies, but a huge chunk of regulars have gone. I wonder if they cannot be bothered with the forum anymore, or if they have really, really, moved on with other better companies.
Not much to smack anymore.

Anonymous said...

Is it possible that PTi have filters on the forum, so that if any 'dissenters' write in, the post is quickly shuffled out of the way into Zen desk??? Just a thought.

Anonymous said...

I don't know....but I really can't find any reason to go to the forum anymore. Truly sad. It IS boring. And really....the DT posts are so transparent. It must be kind of embarrassing for them (DT) to have to prod like that to get any activity. Or maybe the embarrassment belongs to PTI. And I'm still a "buyer" who is pulling for them. (Not a person who has "sworn off" ever ordering again. (Because I love their stamps.)

Anonymous said...

PTI used to get about $200 a month from me. I cannot remember the last time I spent any money there. You really can make beautiful cards without their products. sometimes i drop in on the forum but i rarely even look into the posts. it is sad. i miss the comraderie, friendships. but i will not give my money to a company that does not care about my satisfaction.

Unknown said...

I'd send a WTF card. I'd also send a Hey Whore card. But I have a sense of humor.

Anonymous said...

I've noticed many of the long time PTI forum members have landed spots on the DT of other companies. Makes sense that they no longer participate on the PTI forum.

Anonymous said...

Oh Trell I sure hope the people you send those cards to share that sense of humor. ;-)

Anonymous said...

Who is selling WTF stamps?

Anonymous said...

http://cas-ualfridaysstamps.blogspot.com/

Anonymous said...

Wow so many new stamp companies! I like that I have more places to shop now. Which company's got potential?

Anonymous said...

I'm starting to see potential in the Gina K lines. Holding out for the new inks and then might have to place an order.

Anonymous said...

Gina K is starting to move her stamp lines into styles I think I might like.

Anonymous said...

Any Canadians out there with that have experienced good shipping rates? I would be really grateful if you could let us know which companies are Canadian shipping friendly!

Anonymous said...

"I don't have a problem with God; it's his fan club I can't stand."

LOVE IT! I can't wait to get this bumper sticker (that someone told us about earlier) and show it off to my DEVOUT Catholic in-laws!

Anonymous said...

It would be nice if PTI can get their act together but I don't order anymore - cannot justify minimum postage of $34 for just one item. Have found heaps of more international friendly companies, and I agree with the above poster - can make lovely cards without PTI. Have sold off heaps of PTi stuff at swap meets. I still like their cardstock but postage is prohibitive. By the time I run out of my stack of PTI cs I am sure I will find some more of equal quality somewhere.

Anonymous said...

Re Canadian shipping. I prefer companies that do not charge by weight especially if I will be purchasing card stock as it can get quite heavy. So I try and look for flat rate charges. Also look for reasonable shipping for smaller orders. I find that as long as my order is less than $100 it never gets stopped at customs, so don't need to pay any sales tax. Here are some that I have used or come across:

Verve - stamps and dies only. $5 for order less than $35, $2.50 for orders $35 or over and free if $50 or over
http://shopverve.com/

Simon Says Stamp - there have been some negative comments here about their service, but I can only comment on the two times that I have ordered and I had no issues and it arrived in the standard 7-10 days that I experience ordering from the States. Charge $5.99 if < $50, $7.99 if less than $75 and free if $75 or over.
http://www.simonsaysstamp.com

Gina K - as others have commented, stamp styles do no usually do it for me, but I have tried some of her cardstock and other general stamping supplies. Charges flat $5.95 if order is over $50.
http://www.shop.ginakdesigns.com/

WPlus9 - have ordered only once, but service was very quick. Charges by weight, but if only a few stamps and even a pack or two of cardstock you can keep it under 2 lbs and therefore shipping is only $5
http://www.wplus9.com/

Crafters Gallery - Charges by dollar amount, as an example for orders less than $20 shipping is $8.95. This is a bit steep, but I mention it only because if they are having a sale you can get some really good deals. I have only ordered once but no issues. What I saved more than covered the shipping. Note also, that they will collect the provincial taxes (PST/HST) so you are not saving these.
http://www.craftersgallery.com/

The following I have not ordered from but have come across:

Archivers - same pricing as Crafters Gallery and they too will collect the provincial sales tax.So watch for sales But shipping is free for $75 and over. It is not automatic, you have to enter the code FREESHIP75
http://www.archiversannex.com/

My Favorite Things - okay if ordering stamps and/or dies as flat $6.50. Too expensive if adding felt, buttons, ribbon or cardstock
http://www.mftstamps.com/

Clear and Simple Stamps - they charge a flat $13 and free if order is $100 or more. Stamps/Dies are a bit pricy sometimes, but I might try some later and add some cardstock.
http://www.clearandsimplestamps.com

If anyone else has recommendations (especially for good quality cardstock) please post

Anonymous said...

Would someone please tell Leigh that she seriously doesn't need to post in every. single. thread. Seriously! That is why she is so annoying! And the way she comes across like she thinks she is one of the DT members! I know, "she's just being nice". No, she is being annoying!

Anyone care to guess how this one's going to end? "Dear PTI person,

I have used my new dies for Autumn abundance, and one of the three bouquets will not cut, no matter how much shimming and passes through I do. I run my finger over the edges, and compared to the other two, that one is dull.
Please send me a replacement for that die.
(For comparing reasons, I just had a die that didn't cut, I bought it from Ellen Hutson, and she sent my replacement out the same day, didn't want me to pay for shipping and didn't want the defect die back. ) I hope you can offer such customer care as well.
I have read on the forums numerous complaints about not replacing and fusses about sending the defected item back. Before you send me through hoops like that, may I please tell you I am not out to get you bankrupt, I am not trying to get rich by wanting an extra part of a die collection and I have spend thousands of dollars at your site without ever needing a replacement.
Thanks,
Hopeful I wait for your reply,my name"

All present may rise singly and state your case for why you love Erin Lincoln.
We will have order in the court however and no pushing, shoving or shenanigans will be tolerated.

If it is necessary to go beyond this limit, well, we all understand.

Please commence your arguments.....

Impress sale ends on the 26th. I am on their mailing list, but I understand they also post coupon codes on facebook. I wish I could buy the reinkers... I bought the Amuse ink before I found out about Fresk Ink. Don't get me wrong. I like the Amuse ink, just wish the reinkers were as large as Fresk ink's (and the sales were more frequent).

Christie, that's certainly better CS and shows PTI is capable of learning and changing.

I had a defective die from WPlus9.Sent Dawn an email. She apologized for my problem and put a replacement die in the mail. From complaint to receiving a replacement -one week.

Anonymous said...

So if they send you the wrong item and only offer to pay part of the return shipping, would you keep what you have and deal with it?

I know it will be well over $2 to ship the back. The item hey shipped cot more Han what I paid. If they ship me the wrong item, can they harge me the difference if I decide to forget te return because I refuse I pay to ship something that was their mistake.

Anonymous said...

They will reimburse 65 cents for shipping but if I buy the die by itself I will pay $6.95 for it to ship to me

Anonymous said...

Lucky you're not international.
They charge from $32 up for postage and expect you to pay to return a faulty item.

Goodbye PTI.....another customer lost. Not that you seem to care.

Anonymous said...

sorry, I'm 3:36... apparently I shouldn't type on the ipad before I have had coffee. :)

I bought an item that cost $5, but they shipped an item that was $12 by accident. They are similar and I can make use of it for the project I was doing, but still I wanted the $5 item.

If I contact them, I am sure htye will ask me to pay to send it back. This will need a box - not a stamp set or a die. I'd have to find a box, pack it up and pay to ship it back. This will for sure cost more than the $2 they usually bottom out at.

I'm concerned that if I contact CS, they tell me to ship it and will only refund $2 so I say "nevermind then, I will keep what I have and make it work". Will PTI go back and charge my CC the $7 difference then? Do they have the right to do that? And will thye do it anyway because they are jerks?

Anonymous said...

"we will return shipping up to .65 cents"??? What a joke! I have ordered a few times from PTI. I consider myself lucky I have never received anything defective. This latest cs issue has cemented my decision to never order from PTI again!

Thanks for the tips on the MFT storage. I was planning ot use the DVD cases since I use them for everything else anyway. I'll use Trell's idea and tape it in the case.

Anyone who orders from Wplus9 or mama elephant- are they the same as MFT? Do anyone else have separate labels? TIA

Anonymous said...

Oh, come on! It does not cost more than .65 to mail one die! I have done it! Stop making up scenarios, because we are talking about a die!

Anonymous said...

I received an incorrect stamp from Market Street so I contacted them. I got a quick response telling me to keep the stamp since it was their error and I received the stamp I ordered in a few days. Awesome service!

Anonymous said...

@6:16, are you talking to me? (I'm 6:03)

I am NOT talking about a die. Is it not possible that PTI fucked up more than one order?

I am talking about paper, which - yes it costs more than $2 to mail back a pack of paper.

Get off oyur high horse and go somewhere else and let others actually have useful discussion. I have better things to do than make up BS about PTI screwing up. They give us more than enough to work with - I don't have to get creative.

For myself, they have made this mistake on three previous orders. I haven't said boo to them becauswe their CS is just that bad. I'm really tired of them fucking up though and would like what I ordered. I just don't want to have to pay fix their screwups

The last CS issue I had, Dave helped me and told me to keep the item and they just sent a new one. THAT was good CS

Anonymous said...

It does cost more to send a die when you have to pack it up in bubble wrap in a padded mailer. Lest Julie accuse you of damaging the die in transit and denying your claim altogether! True story!

Anonymous said...

I have those dies the OP had a problem with. Off to check if they cut okay. Eek.

Anonymous said...

Cannot understand why Nichole is still doing dies when cut files are 1. easier to create
2. offer no issues with damage in shipping or damage in production
3. can easily be made for older sets
4. offer more versatility with layering

sure the initial cost to the customer is expensive, but wasn't the cost of the die cutting machine an investment.

you aren't going to lose the die or deal with storage...

she should move into the next century

but then what would you crazies bitch about -

oh...her dollhouse pins on pinterest...

Anonymous said...

My sister and I loan each other dies all the time and send them back and forth. Put the die between 2 pieces of cardboard and seal all edges with tape. Put it in an envelope and put on one regular stamp and 2 10 cent stamps and it will go with no problem.

Speaking of customer service -
I mentioned that I ordered this month from Clear & Simple Stamps. I received my order(s) Monday but 3 sets I'd ordered were on backorder. No biggie. Those 3 sets came today (2 days later) along with a note apologizing for the delay and inconvenience along with a $5 Starbucks gift card.
I am floored! Their customer service is beyond excellent.

Oh, and that is besides the Papercraft magazine and ribbon that were slipped in extra in my other 2 boxes. They do that every time.

Anonymous said...

Some of us much prefer a simple die to having computer software and large machines sitting around.

Anonymous said...

I will not order from a company that has cut files unless I love the stamp and never need it to be cut out. I only craft at crops so a computer system will not work for me.

Anonymous said...

for 6:03 who received the wrong item:

This happened to a friend - ordered the Scor-Pal mat and was sent the Scor-Pal instead. When she contacted PTI, they acted like she was trying to get something for nothing. If she was trying to screw them, why would she tell them that she paid for a $15 item and received a $30 item? All she wanted was the right item - it took her forever to get her correct item (Julie kept telling her that they hadn't received the return yet when the tracking on the package showed that it had been delivered over a week ago) AND it was another battle to get the refund for the shipping. Unless they've made some major, major changes, I'd keep what you have and not say a word.

07:34 I find your use of the term crazies offensive. Mental health is a serious issue for a lot of people.

Anonymous said...

Anyone else think it is ironic that 07:34 accused us of being crazies who love to bitch, yet the whole first part of the post is she/he bitching about Nichole being behind the times regarding dies vs. cut files.

Hey kettle, meet pot.

Anonymous said...

Excellent point 12:06.

Anonymous said...

Most electronic cutters cannot cut felt, wood veneer, sheet metal, and other things that dies can cut. There is a place for both in the world. Plus I think I remember Nichole saying something about not wanting to have to provide the tech support for cutfiles after they stopped making them.

Gotta love another set of defective stamps!

http://forum.papertreyink.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=38836

Has to be the customer's fault.

Anonymous said...

^^^ you don't know for a fact that they are defective.

Anonymous said...

So you are saying the problem is the customer. Did you read the thread?

Anonymous said...

18:40 what a bunch of bull shit! You sound just like the trio at PTI. Who the hell would go to all this trouble and make it up that a lousy die is defective? Attitudes like THIS is why I haven't purchased a thing from PTI in over a year.

Anonymous said...

18:12. Stir some more. Keep it bubbling

Anonymous said...

1857 In your excitement at the potential of a PTI problem you failed to read the forum link. It isnt a die its a stamp set. The stripe dies are large stamps and it could take a few tries to get the feel of how they work.

Anonymous said...

Loved the Whimsey new release. Ordered plenty!

Anonymous said...

She tried everything, over and over and over. Read the thread. The stamps are defective.

Anonymous said...

Agree - those stamps sounds defective. I have very long background stripe style stamps from WMS and never have the problem she is having. Hope she is mentally preparing herself for the CS runaround.

Anonymous said...

19:01, you are in fact stirring the pot with YOUR comment!

Anonymous said...

Hey 19:01. I have a riddle for you. What word starts with "W" and rhymes with bitch? Let me give you a hint.....

Omg you are so clever and witty 2355

What is this preschool?

Anonymous said...

4:16, "OMG." Is this high school?

No, this is what happens when there isn't enough to smack about so everyone gets bored and turns on each other.

Lion Through Their Teeth said...

More praise for CSS (If you're sick of it, sorry, but I think really good customer service should be made known, too. It also shows how poor PTI's is even after it has "improved".)

Yesterday I received my backordered stamp sets. Later in the day I received an email telling me that one of the sets is not up to their standards. They contacted me about it and are sending a replacement (at no cost or inconvenience to me!) as well as 15% off my next order.

I very much appreciate being treated like a truly valued customer rather than a liar and a thief when I spend my money with a company.

Some of you make the same errors here that you make on your own blog, thus outing yourself without meaning to do so. Here's a first lesson:

1. This blog has no [effect] or [affect] on my life. Pick the correct word.

I'll be back later with the answer and tips to know how to use the proper word and with more lessons.

You will thank me later.

03:41 Have you considered that the post office charges you to ship packages, and not PTI?

Anonymous said...

Oh Please. The $6.96 Papertrey would charge to ship one die is because THEY won't ship any other method than Priority. They could EASILY ship one die for the cost of a couple of stamps if they did it the way 24 October 2012 07:36 described. So they are assuming we only need to be reimbursed that much for shipping to them, but they are choosing to only use Priority when shipping to us.

Anonymous said...

The post office does not charge 33.95 to ship a bubble mailer of stamps and dies to Canada, or all the other companies I order from would be going under with all the shipping losses they take
PTI CHOOSES to use the most assinine shipping and packaging method thus incurring these ridiculous charges

06:48 Until something gets damaged in the mail or does not arrive, and then PTI will somehow be responsible.

Anonymous said...

7:08 I've never had that happen
But thankfully I have other recourse for my purchases ( PayPal, cc dispute) if my parcel does not arrive
However, WHY do the only have one size box?? I order the card kit from simon says stamp
The box is small, and I pay 10 shipping at most
If they are worried about items getting damaged and want to stay with boxes for gods sakes other size boxes exist!!

I think sausage fingers needs to give herself a board warning for not following the TOS.

"Out of respect for the Papertrey Team and their financial support of this forum, posts are no longer allowed to contain promotions of competing products from other companies. Anonymous said...

6:01, plenty of people make those spelling and grammar mistakes. I sincerely doubt anyone is "outing" themselves when they commit such an offense.

Anonymous said...

I wonder 6:01 is waiting to see if the bloggers in question are hurriedly editing their blogs for grammar mistakes. hehe

Anonymous said...

And really, I don't think anyone really cares who else is smacking TBH

Anonymous said...

Well TBH I wouldn't want people to think that I am some of the smackers here who use all kinds of vulgar language and act like rabid jerks to the rest of us. So even though I don't have a blog I would stay anon.

^^^^^I am failing to see the copious amounts of vulgar language Miss Prissy pants is complaining about.

I know PTI CS sucks. The attitude is insulting. I stopped buying. but I really miss the forum, the fun, the loyalty, the excitement, the products. Sorry to sound like a wuss, but I miss it!! I spent hours on the forum every week. I know that is pathetic, but it was a fun part of my life.

that's it.

Anonymous said...

I'm sorry, I don't get the 'ohio' reference...

Anonymous said...

Our whole future rests on Ohio.

I miss the forum fun too.

Anonymous said...

Is PTI based in Ohio? Are you the same person that used to keep saying, "PTI obsessed, eh?" If so, you have a rather distorted viewpoint of why we are posting here. But thanks for trying to stir things up for us. Nice little troll. Pet, pet, pet.

Anonymous said...

Count me in as missing it too. It's so sad...

Anonymous said...

What is sad is that people don't know why Ohio is so important right now. Pathetic.

Anonymous said...

Okay, I don't watch the news. By choice. If you think that is pathetic, so be it. So is there some tragedy going on there right now? If so, my dh will tell me soon enough, and just because I am posting here doesn't mean I don't care about the people there. Is it the presidential election campaign? Then, you got me, I really don't care. WHATEVER is going on over there has NOTHING to do with the time people spend posting here. Stop trying to lay a guilt trip on us for it. Leetle troll.

Anonymous said...

Wow, 21:24. You are ignorant and proud.

Stamp away with your tiny little brain since it obviously has no room for anything else.

Anonymous said...

21:24, I, too, am disappointed that you are not following the "Ohio situation." Don't you care about who Meatloaf endorsed in the presidential race?

Anonymous said...

would like to thank whomever posted that ohio ohio ohio comment.

i read the comments that followed out loud last night to my stamp club! good times and didn't cost me a dime. thanksssss!!!!!

oh, and SU is having a big sale on Monday. 15% off all stamps. not that anyone of you would stoop to su, but letting you know just in case.

and...the big news. SU will reveal its first clear set with Sell A Bration in January. I for one cannot wait.

Anonymous said...

And to think my demo kept saying SU would never go clear. HA!

Anonymous said...

18:43 @ 19:04 So what's keeping you from the forum. Are you banned?

Anonymous said...

I don't go to the forum anymore because it isn't the same. Not interested in placing blame, pointing fingers but it is just not a fun enthusiastic place anymore. i miss that and wish i could find another place on the net. i am disabled and cannot drive. spend a lot of time on the internet. too bad it all fell apart.

if su is going clear i'll get in touch with my demo and maybe i can get her to drive me to some workshops.

InkStink said...

Happy to hear SU is going clear. They offer some stamps that fit my style and I will buy more if they are clear.

Got an email from MFT. They have a big sale going on now as they discontinue 158 stamp sets. None of them my style so they won't get my money but that's what a smart businesswoman does. Clear out the old inventory to make room and $$ for new.

Anonymous said...

I agree about clearing out inventory. A promise to keep all sets current was not wise. Announce that some are retiring, don't discount them, and then dig a hole in the ground and bury the unsold.
a large inventory is insanely expensive for a company to maintain in a million different ways. dumb dumb dumb that's why su retires sets all the time. and i also got the email on the SU clear during sale a bration or whatever it is called. woohoo. it took them long enough!!!

Anonymous said...

Placed an order with Cas-ual Friday Stamps. Really needed that WTF stamp! And others. Shipping was #2.50.

Anonymous said...

If you are so uninformed that Ohio is out of your radar right now, then you don't deserve to say a thing either way about our government. You obviously don't value your citizenship, freedom, choices, a bit. I have no respect for that. Stamp away in your shallow little world.

Anonymous said...

Remember all those hysterical threads a few years back with demos claiming they would leave SU if they ever went unmounted and SU itself claiming that clear stamps were inferior and they would never consider them? Well, money speaks volumes to SU owners.
