So tired of all the goat jokes with Ted.
There. I said it.

I am so tired of Ted answering every single post that is directed at Nicole or the dt. He just plain IRKS me.

If you're so sick of Ted stay off the forum.

PTI Smacker - another option to add to the sidebar is Frantic Stamper. Got great CS with my order with her.

I just read the thread this poster referred to about Hero arts business model etc. and this line stood out.

Work hard to build trust, passion and partnership

Sadly, PTI has never even come close to this.

Thanks for the Ellen Hutson code, Smacker! Happy Mother's Day to you, if you're a mother :)

Since someone was able to find the font the other smacker was looking for, can someone help me out? Puhleeeeze? The fonts used for the "inspired color challenge" titles as seen here:

I really thought the hydrangeas set would tempt me but I have been unimpressed. Today's NH projects look so washed out. Well, except for the black hydrangeas.

Anonymous said...

Since we have a font expert here, (thanks BTW) how about the script font used in Strawberry Patch Sentiments and all over the front page at PTI? Which one is it? This one is a doozy, I've been trying to find it for ages.

Anonymous said...

Another 'artsy and messy' card from NH. Well, it is messy...

Anonymous said...

trust me on these:
1. PTI reads this board. That means you can stop telling Rick to please tell Julie, etc. Nichole and Julie read it every day. Hell. some of them post.

2. Mish and Lisa are leaving, left, diminishing their work because of this blog. Jessica will be next. In some cases it is the smack (see 3) others the stink.

3. It isn't just the criticism on the blog. this blog has generated other problems for folks associated wtih PTI and to avoid encouraging more, I won't say more. SAF is on line for a reason.

4. Nichole is desperately trying to dissolve the partnership between she and the others but it is proving near impossible.

5. Sales are way down. Panic is up.

6. Rick designed the web store. He's hiding behind a fictional group. that is why it is a mess. He's running it during his regular paid job and has neither the time nor the skills to make it work. PTI knew it was a mess when they let it go live but they had no choice because of the reward points.

That font is Melany Lane. You have to buy some of the swirly parts separate and be able to use glyphs to get the full effect.

Anonymous said...

Anyone else think 4:43 is Rick, too?

Also, Nichole, I think you meant "role", not "roll".

Rick Geymonat said...

So now I am trying to disprove myself on a public forum? That makes sense...

Anonymous said...

Exactly, Rick. Convenient way to try and cover it up so it doesn't look like it is you.

No problem, though. Nice to have the inside scoop, no matter who is posting it.

Rick Geymonat said...

Unlike you, I stand behind what I say with my identity here. No reason for me to hide behind the veil of secrecy...

Anonymous said...

Really, Rick? You would post the "inside scoop", ratting out the "truth" without doing it anonymously? Sure.

Rick Geymonat said...

The inside scoop is none of my ("flippin" <------- lol) business. But I know that I would not post a bunch of nonsense and then turn around and post a response asking myself to prove the aforementioned nonsense. Too much like Sybil for me.

I do not post anonymously because I do not have to. If I won't say it as me, I won't say it. Period.

Anonymous said...

WOW just wow. I graduated high school in 1981, feel like I'm right back even though I'm almost 49.

Anonymous said...

@4:43
I don't understand your #2 statement. The end makes no sense.

Please clarify.

Anonymous said...

I figured SAF was online because they didn't make enough money at it last year - even though they completely cheaper out on it. They didn't listen to the customer feedback, so they obviously have a reason.

This event let's them do a third of the effort and collect (in theory) a ton more money. They have to plan the stamping part but not the store and idea gallery and not the dessert and lunch part ( which they absolutely sucked at).

Are you suggesting that people don't want to be seen in person or that they are afraid of the backlash of folks complaining in person?

Anonymous said...

Last night I made Mother's Day cards and May birthdays cards. I used a bunch of my new PTI stamps, dies etc. I LOVE THEM!!! The stamps were crisp clear images when stamped and the dies cut like butta.

I may have never purchased from PTI, but with all the free advertising you are all providing here, SCS, etc I had to check out what all the hype was about.

PTI has some really awesome stuff. Their shipping time is what I consider reasonable. I know there could be issues with customer service but I am taking that risk whereever I shop.

So I just want to thank all of you for the education. In my case it was a positive experience. I think the good of all of this is its leading people to their online store and I bet some of them like me are buying!

Anonymous said...

folks returned from SAF and criticized Nichole and others. She isn't going to go through all the trouble and work (it was a LOT of work) and get criticized like that. too much bad karma for her to feel comfortable that haters won't show up.

cant say more now.

Beating a Dead Horse said...

Glad we could help in directing you to the store. I am hoping you never have to endure what I did there. Good Luck?

Anonymous said...

Ooooo, 6:41, what a sooooper-seekrit spy you are!

Yes, anonymous veiled insinuations carry so much weight with me.

Anonymous said...

6:32, nice try at reverse psychology, but it doesn't really mean much here. You'll find that the real smackers are pretty independent.

I have a comment to make about the previews. I completely get that Nichole wants to periodically show how sets work well together. But does anyone else feel that if she is showing a new set for the first time for a release, that she shouldn't depend on other previously released sets to do so? If you need a "supporting" set or stamp, then at least take it from this new release!

I could not STAND the hydrangeas when I saw the sneak peek. Thought they look modern and ugly for such a beautiful flower. Then I saw her card and I thought, Oh, that could look pretty. But then I read the post - which I never used to do. And of course the leaves are from another set. Is that even anything like what hydrangea leaves look like? NO! They are big broad leaves like you see in the all of the photos she shows. So why not include a big broad leaf in the set?

These things bug me.

Frankly, I no longer care what is going on behind the scenes at PTI. IF I buy again, I'm taking chances with problems with the stamp sets and don't know if they'll be resolved. But I won't buy anything other than stamps from them, so that limits my vulnerability. And I honestly think that if I have any trouble, I can contact Rick and he'll take care of it.

I'm kinda done bashing them just to bash them. They screw up, I'll be the first one to pass the word because customers and potential customers need to know. And they do treat customers like crap -- if you have to have contact with them. If I can just buy a stamp set now and then and it comes in a reasonable period of time, well then - that's okay. But I'm the exception because I don't like all of their products so I'm not taking much risk.

There are still a lot of things I don't like but I can dismiss them like I used to - Nichole's terrible grammar and spelling for one, LOL! Irritating but I guess people can be talented yet still sound uneducated.

Rick, glad to see you here commenting that that person was blowing smoke. I think some people post things like that here just because they can - some apparently get their kicks that way. It's really cruel.

Anonymous said...

Okay I went farther and apparently there is a 'broad' leaf in the set, because it doesn't look like she says it's from another set. BUT it's still too wimpy!

Anonymous said...

ugh, that black hydrangea card is extra-fugly! not the slight bit interested in this set.

Anonymous said...

Love the black & white ruffled checked ribbon Melissa showed on her card.

Anonymous said...

See, 4:43/6:41, there are two possibilities. Either what you are saying is true or it isn't.

If it isn't true, well, then you're an ass for making shit up just to get people riled up.

If it is true and you have "confidential" behind-the-scenes info, then you would be in a position to get this info. And by posting it here you are betraying that position (be it friend, DT, whatever.)

Either way, you are showing your ass and proving yourself to be someone that I would never trust.

Also? Trying to shift blame for PTI's woes onto the smack blog? Lame. And wrong. PTI alone is to blame for their difficulties.

Anonymous said...

Excellent points, 7:23. Well said.

Who in the world would have that information and then feel comfortable spilling it publicly?

I don't believe a word of it. And I believe SAF is online because maybe it was too much work before but maybe they also realize they'd rather have a lot of participation than make it some exclusive travel sort of thing. I have no interest myself and think it's kind of lame but I can see where fans would like it.

And it's beyond irresponsible to start rumors about individuals.

Anonymous said...

Smacker @6:32 says "I may have never purchased from PTI, but with all the free advertising you are all providing here, SCS, etc I had to check out what all the hype was about."

I say - That's good for PTI as you have replaced the $250+ that I spent every month.

I don't know exactly what has happened to me in the last few months, but I went from slobbering over every post during the release to "ho, hum", nothing for me here. In the past, I spent hours doing cut and paste of inspiration into my Evernotes file but now, I don't see much that inspires.

I have found some better looking hydrangea images. Look at sample on Thinking Inking - now that's a hydrangea I love. Flourishes has one too that is nice.

Anonymous said...

Dear 4:43. I don't believe any of it.

The smack blog is not responsible for PTI's problems. You don't see a Gina K smack blog or a Hero Arts smack blog.

Enough said.

I don't believe that Mish or Lisa are leaving because of what is said here. Maybe they no longer want to be associated with a company that has done so many things wrong that they merit their own smack blog.

You are no insider and if you are, I think that posting stuff like this is going to make every single person on the dt question who is loyal to them.

Anonymous said...

I believe the person who is trying to make this the Lie Blog, is the same one who comes here with really mean comments. Maybe even the one who got vulgar the other day. This person wants revenge for something and now that they had their hands slapped yesterday, they are really angry.

Anonymous said...

As far as PTI smack goes, that so-called "artsy and messy" card is nothing BUT messy. I thought for a minute that I was looking at one of Beth's cards.

Anonymous said...

That "messy" card isn't art to me. If I spilled coffee on a piece of cardstock then sprinkled a little sugar over it, I don't call it art.

Anonymous said...

0443 I dont believe a word of it. You are just trying to start a nasty spin because its your hobby.

Why dont you use your wicked tongue in politics or your local bar.

Anonymous said...

08:24----I thought for a minute that I was looking at one of Beth's cards.

Really? You all talk about taking wicked tongues elsewhere. This is mean and hateful you stupid cow. There how did that feel?

Anonymous said...

@ 8:28 - Maybe you should try it. Hang it in a gallery & see how much someone is willing to pay for it! ;)

Anonymous said...

I agree that someone is trolling for kicks. Get a life already.

And when people post their work online, I think they know it is up for criticism as well as praise and you have to take the sour with the sweet. It's personal attacks and trying to start rumors about individuals that sure you can post because this blog is uncensored, but some of us also want to point out that we think it's wrong.

There's no reason to be cruel and vulgar and ugly. Anywhere.

Anonymous said...

There is no way on earth that saying she thought it looked like someone else's style was 'mean and hateful' nor does anyone deserve to be called a 'stupid cow' because of their opinion about art or a card.

I think you must not be very bright to be unable to make that distinction.

I think pti did it online because they undercharged for last years event and only had a fixed number of tickets to sell. This year it's of course an unlimited amount of tickets. Anonymous said...

Is all of the website feedback being looked at? It is getting a bit ridiculous when you can't find items, they are not properly tagged and the viewing functions are NOT user friendly at all. I think people have been quite patient (considering the website was launched in February and it is now May) and it was apparently years in the making. I'm sure many new customers have given up trying to find anything!

Anonymous said...

I am an old customer and I have given up! If I break my freeze, it will only be something new that's front and center. The old stuff - gone to me. Would never bother wading through all of that.

It's incredibly foolish to leave the website in the state it's in. There's no sign that anything is changing.

But wait - there's a release coming up! Maybe on the 15th, they'll announce a complete re-do again! Really, it will take effect a few hours before they go live, so all will be well, right? LOL!

InkStink said...

I used to use the old website as a reference of sorts. If I was making a birthday card, I would bring up all the birthday stamp sets (on 1 page that I could actually see) and select an image/set from looking at that view to use. Same for florals, holidays, sentiments, etc. Now I have to guess which page the images or masculine sets start on and weed through miniature views of each set to try to figure out which to use or what set may contain that image that I vaguely remember.

Just like the impression plates, it's too much bother.

And I just bought myself a mother's day gift from Ellen Hutson. Bet I'll have it by Friday.

Anonymous said...

I ordered from Ellen last night and it would not surprise me if it were here on Tues or Wed - not quite across the country from them.

08:39, I'm 08:24, and I've been pondering what you said. I'm not the sort who casually throws out unkind comments about people (nor am I either stupid or a cow), but I suppose (perhaps incorrectly) that the comment I made referencing Nichole's "artsy and messy" card fell under some other subheading.

As crafters, it's always good to try stepping outside of our comfort zones. Nichole did it with that card. I could have said I didn't care for it, and left it at that.

I believe I'm not the only person who has looked at Beth's cards and wondered how she was on ANY design team, let alone one that has included a number of people whose talents were/are substantial. I've scratched my head a few times trying to figure out her place in the PTI lineup, and I avoid her work whenever possible. I don't bash people for sport, but I was commenting on her style, which, if pressed, I would state in a public, non-anon setting that I find it unappealing.

If you are Beth, or a personal friend of hers, I can see why my comment may have upset you. I still believe it was a reasonable comment here on the smack blog. I'll give that more thought.

In the meantime, you may prefer reading elsewhere so as to avoid any unsettling comments, of which, I can assure you, mine was extremely mild.

Just thought I'd mention two other places I have been ordering from recently. Both are located in the UK, but I found their prices reasonable.

chocolate baroque, rubber stamps, but some interesting designs:
http://www.chocolatebaroque.com/

Uniko stamps, clear stamps and digital paper downloads, new so just a few available but I really like some of the designs:
http://www.uniko.co.uk/product-category/stamp-sets

I've had excellent service from both of them, shipping was reasonable and quick given the international shipping.

Anonymous said...

Thanks for posting the link to that UK stamp shop 17:04, I LOVE that lattice BG set, reminds me of PTI's Quatrefoil die!

And which Beth is on their DT? Doesn't ring a bell...

Anonymous said...

^^ I've been looking at Chocolate Baroque for a few months – they've got some stuff you don't see everywhere else. Is their stuff unmounted only, or is it available on cling as well?

Anonymous said...

I've been looking at Chocolate Baroque for a long time, too. I'm pretty sure it's only bare rubber.

Anonymous said...

That is possibly the most diplomatic way possible to say that Beth silaika sucks. And the appointment of her to the pti design team gives me serious pause as to the sensibility of Nichole heady.

Anonymous said...

Beth Silaika is not on the PTI design team. She designs stamp sets.

Anonymous said...

looks like beth has wiped out her old blog...

Anonymous said...

um, whatever. NH links to her card samples when she has a set. Her stuff is crap and uninspiring. Whether she's on the dt or not is just splitting hairs. the fact that she's a stamp designer somehow makes it more painful.

Anonymous said...

I disagree, as a stamp designer, she makes some cute stuff. I love her Train Tracks set. I wasn't aware she also made cards. Then again, if she's that uninspired, I probably just never noticed.
I did however notice Jenn E's amateurish MIM #53. Not exactly up to PTI's standard, IMO.

Add that 2 the list said...

Don't fault Jenn's MIM when the DT is giving us 20 min MIM on how to glitter die cuts. Her's were useful and didn't treat viewers like total asshats. Like we don't know how to add glitter. Wasn't that covered in primary art class?

Anonymous said...

18:58, Beth says on her new blog that the original site name, Freckled and Fun, was taken over by an Adult site.

Unknown said...

I feel like the mood of the board kind of goes up and down. But I don't find it to be toxic here. I read the posts all of the time, but for a while, I just haven't had much to say. Plus, I've been a bit more busy in my personal life.

Now, my little bit of smack. Am I the only one that doesn't get the big deal about the word,"flipping?" I mean come the fuck on. Really. Grown ass women objecting to a word.

It bears repeating, I don't trust people that don't curse.

Unknown said...

Also, I am getting tired of the, "house that stamps built," stuff. It's old and well, there are nicer houses 5 minutes from my apartment.

Anonymous said...

That's why everyone has different card styles...I think a lot of Erin's cards suck, no all but a lot of them...but that's just my opinion. Doesn't mean it's true.

Anonymous said...

I have a question for the person who claims to have the inside scoop on PTI:

You've mentioned that sales are way down a couple of times. Does this mean that they were plugging along, doing well, and then there was a sudden and drastic decline in sales?

Or has the decline been gradual?

Though I have to say I really can't fathom what problems this blog would have caused to PTI's design team. I highly doubt the smackers are making death threats and stalking design team members.

Anonymous said...

Heres a thought...are the PTI ladies positioning themselves to sell the business?

Anonymous said...

it's so easy not to buy PTI right now....I thought I was addicted and I would struggle not to buy but they are making it easy :D

Anonymous said...

No way!! If you're going to try to sell a business, you want to put your best foot forward and make sure that it all looks incredibly appealing to potential buyers. You're not trying to sell if you are letting your name get muddied because of lousy customer service.

Anonymous said...

This is the first time I've ever seen a group post for a stamp set (or product grouping) that Nichole didn't design herself. I never thought I'd see the day when she'd let another designer benefit from all of the added exposure.

Anonymous said...

To me, talking like that Trell, sounds like a teen trying to look rebellious. When adults use those words I just want to say "Grow Up" and quit trying to sound tough.

crs16 said...

The chocolate baroque stamps are bare rubber, they do sell the ezmount cling separately if you want to add it yourself.

I thought the same thing about the uniko stamps! Just like the quatrefoil die from PTI. I just got That stamp set late last week but haven't had a chance to make anything with it yet

Anonymous said...

It may sound mean, but that's just pretty damn funny that Beth had to change her blog AGAIN! It's the second time she's had her blog "taken over"! I believe with her first, original stamping blog another stamper who also designs banners and watermarks bought the URL and took it over! I'm sorry, but that just makes my day... especially that this time it's been taken over by an "adult" site yet to boot... her snooty, my-shit-doesn't-stink self deserves it!

What is that square stamp at the bottom of the farm set supposed to be?

Anonymous said...

^^^ Like a textured background maybe? I dunno... Is it true to size?

And why are there two small squares on the farm & barn BG set? They add those 2 stamps and it's suddenly worth $18???

And why does the flower in this set have a circle around its stem? The one on the left, second from the top: http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/.a/6a00d8341c64e753ef0167667cfc82970b-pi

I think maybe that square stamp at the bottom of the farm set is supposed to look like a country lane. That's the only thing I can think of and it's a stretch. Baffles me!

Anonymous said...

It looks like a digital textured background. Ppl use them in photography a lot, but I've never seen one as a SMALL stamp like this. It's just old, wrinkled paper.

Anonymous said...

@ 7:49 - The circle is supposed to be a vase, I think.

Just like birthdays, Mother's Day will come again. Christmas is past too, but I sure see the Christmas stamps in the stores.

Anonymous said...

Yea, I'm mad about that wooden stamp. I want it. I like the farm set, but I'd only use it for mag submissions, and even then, I could only use it SO much.

I like the little animal dies.

Love the chicken wire impression plate.

The rest they can keep.

Anonymous said...

I feel myself weakening. After 5 months of not ordering, I really , really want that telephone and the sunrise paper pack.

Donna C. said...

I am thinking you could draw your own planking with a basic woodgrain stamp.

Anonymous said...

8:24-- how many times did you see her pictures on her blog before you figured that out? LOLOLOL

Anonymous said...

There's an Asian Ashley Newell out there, too.

Anonymous said...

The random "Ashley's black?" comment just gave me a chuckle.

I live in a farm community and I think cards with the farm stamps would do well in the shops here in town. May have to break my boycott for that but not during the release. Hell no. I'll wait until the doldrums set in again.

Anonymous said...

If you want a cute farm stamp...Taylored Expressions has one called Green Acres.

I also saw a sneak peek from Paper Smooches June releases too...

Trust me, there are other cute farm sets.

Anonymous said...

I know - I've been looking :) . thanks for the suggestions. I think I'll get the Crafty Secrets ones, too.

Anonymous said...

p.s. I'm not really inspired by the cutesy style stamps - but i truly do appreciate the redirection!

Anonymous said...

Now that we've seen the full reveal there is really nothing that makes me want to break my boycott. The farm set and the camping set were cuter before I saw them! LOL!

Anonymous said...

@7:49, about the price of background stamps: The background strips are now bigger too. That's why the price went to $18. Started a few months ago.

Anonymous said...

Rick, my cart dumps each and every time.

I'm running Windows 7 and using Firefox browser.

I'm writing you here rather than doing the zendesk doohicky because I'm at work and you guys don't need all my work email info.

Rick Geymonat said...

Sorry to hear!! What happens when you use IE?

SmackDesk said...

Not only is ACN black, she has four degrees. Can't believe you missed either of those things on her blog.

Anonymous said...

I certainly don't make Mother's Day cards a year in advance. So it is quite silly to have that set come out right now (after the fact).

Seems like filler to me. That happens with a lot of these sets. Filler images that serve little purpose and just jacks up the price.

Nothing (again) for me this month!

Anonymous said...

So what if there's a Mother's Day sentiment? That's ONE sentiment. And the publication calls will be rolling around to Mother's Day in just a couple of months, anyway.

Anonymous said...

ashley newelll has four degrees? Who the hell cares? and why would she post that on her blog?

SmackDesk said...

I have an old Kim Hughes farm set from when she designed for Cornish Farms. I never use it (I won it) and I know I'll never use the PTI set, either. But I would use the heck out of that board beam background stamp. Dammit, Janet.

Anonymous said...

i was hoping for a split, with the chicken wire and the wooden boards - I only want the wood, but it seems everyone else does too lol...so much for that.

Anonymous said...

Where do you see something on ACN's blog about having 4 degrees? I'm missing it. Looked in her "about" tab and it isn't there.

Anonymous said...

So no Lisa Johnson and no message from Nichole about her absence?

Anonymous said...

I wondered about Lisa Johnson too.

Anonymous said...

maybe the health issues she mentioned last month are persisting. Hope not - that would be awful.

Chris Simon said...

14:42, it looks like Ashley removed the post and/or the text about the multiple degrees. It was a few days ago, when she posted a card or something to celebrate a male relative's graduation. In the text of the post was the fact that he was graduating from her undergraduate alma mater, and also a mention of "one of" her law degrees. The whole thing seems to be gone now, though.

Anonymous said...

I noticed on the MIM video that she put the dies face down before running them through her machine. I always thought the die was supposed to face up - does it make any diff?

Anonymous said...

I run my dies face down. I don't think it makes any difference.

Anonymous said...

Flip flops in the friendship jar? Dumbest idea of the release. Nice one Mish.

Anonymous said...

Yes. Lisa has left. She needs time to heal. I don't blame her one bit. Hope she recuperates quickly.

SmackDesk said...

Ooops, my bad. It wasn't on her blog, it was in the PTI Newsletter. Copied directly from their newsletter so typos are theirs:

Is your educational background wildly different from what you're doing know? What did you want to be when you were younger?

It sure is. I don't think you need a Juris Doctor degree to be a paper crafter. All you need is some imagination and I wish someone told me that before I spent my money on four degrees! When I was younger I wanted to be a lot of things, including, a medical doctor and a teacher. I still think it would be fun to work with the ER crew of Grey's Anatomy!

Anonymous said...

^^^ Is that copied and pasted?

"...what you're doing KNOW"???? Was that seriously in the newsletter? OMG. Idiots the lot of them.

Anonymous said...

Okay, let me get this right. So she says if only someone had told her she didn't need four degrees to be a papercrafter? Is it not implied that she feels she could make the same living as a papercrafter that she makes with her four degrees? Or is she just not using those degrees, so she never had to bother now that she just plays with paper?

Of course, that question was only asked knowing her background.

All that learning and she still used a comma where she shouldn't have.

Anonymous said...

"Lisa has left. She needs time to heal."

Was an announcement made? Or is this just based on her previous post and explanation about her illness?

Anonymous said...

Lisa posted to her blog.

Anonymous said...

Lisa has a post on her blog confirming she is no longer with PTI.

Anonymous said...

Interesting. Lisa Johnson has left PTI......maybe the smacker who was making predictions does have some insider knowledge.

Anonymous said...

And so it begins....

I predict a DT exodus by the end of the year. I think shit at PTI is far worse than i'd previously considered.

It's one thing to require DT participation on your message board. It's quite another to be d pecked to perform customer service/ambassador duty because you're designing for a seriously fucked up company.

Anonymous said...

Leaving a job at PTI is no different then leaving any job when you no longer want to work there for whatever reason.

Its an opportunity for the ex-employee to try something new as well as the business getting new blood to shake things up.

It doesnt mean the company is going down. If the company goes defunk what will there be to smack about? :) Careful what you wish for!

Anonymous said...

Lisa just left. So I guess the insider knows a lot more than Rick is suggesting. Hmmmm....

And such a coincidence that after years of silence, Rick appears out of nowhere at the exact same time the crappy website is debuted.

Interesting. All very interesting...

Anonymous said...

I think Lisa is very creative, and always enjoy seeing her creations. Hope she's better soon.

Anonymous said...

When is Nichole going to make the official announcement about Lisa?

Anonymous said...

I guess Rick owes 4:43 a thousand bucks. :)

Anonymous said...

I hope Lisa is ok as well. I will miss her posts.

Anonymous said...

Just because Lisa left doesn't mean that an anonymous smacker knows anything. Lisa has obviously been leaning that way for a long time.

Her post does appear to be cold, just like mish's was. No apparent gushing and no sweet words from Nichole. Hmm.

Anonymous said...

I have to say that I think she's a class act. And also, it reads to me that she has chosen her words very carefully, not using any reason for her departure. I think she makes it clear that she did not leave *because* of her health or to spend time with her family, but this change leaves her open to take care of both. Bless her heart - she really seems genuine and likeable. I hope she is feeling better soon.

Anonymous said...

Call me crazy, but I might have to risk an order tonight. Just used my last sheet of Hawaiian Shores and that Wisteria has been calling my name for a whole month.

Anonymous said...

I might order again too - but not tonight!

Anonymous said...

From Nichole on the forum:

"Yes, Lisa Johnson will be leaving us. An official announcement and farewell is scheduled for my blog tomorrow morning, we wanted to allow the release festivities to settle down a bit before posting a public statement. I am certain that she appreciates your kind words and thoughts so much."

I do like that Lisa spoke up about it first. Wish her all the best and will continue to visit her blog.

Anonymous said...

So the fuss about ACN mentioning her 4 degrees was referring to her answer to a QUESTION regarding her educational background? I have multiple degrees too, and although I don't go around talking about that, I can imagine that they might come up in response to a question like that.

Yeesh, give me a break. You guys must really be hurting for stuff to complain about.

Anonymous said...

Lisa just left. So I guess the insider knows a lot more than Rick is suggesting. Hmmmm

^^^^^^^^^^^^

Yeah well it doesn't take a rocket surgeon to notice that this particular anonymous post, out of all the other anonymous posts that have been posted here managed to get Rick's goat so bad.

No one would get so bent out of shape over an anon posting unless of course there was actually something to it. Some of you people have been so ga ga over Rick and I don't trust him an inch. I happen to think we'll see other predictions from the insider come true too.

Chris Simon said...

Boy, release night is much less lively than it used to be, isn't it? Fifteen minutes till shopping time, and still less than one page on the release party thread. Remember when there would have been 30 pages already, and it was impossible to refresh often enough to keep up?

Anonymous said...

Maybe the poster got rick's goat because he gets tired of anonymous posters posting bull stupid crap?
I'd be pissed too.

Anonymous said...

flippin mess with trying to order. I have a gift certificate that someone gave me for my birthday. thought I would cash it out on the cute animal dies and barn board set. I put in my billing and shipping info and it just keep spooling. All I can say is this company is a disaster.

Anonymous said...

OK, 20 minutes spent trying to submit my gift certificate order and I can't get it to work. i thought that issue was fixed. WTF is going on with PTI????

Anonymous said...

Part of why the release party thread is less active is that people post on the main forum board all day. It's not so concentrated any more.

Anonymous said...

There is a thread about people who cannot check out and also use gift certs. Here we go again. If their house was on fire it would take them 3 hours to decide to call the fire department. Problems like this for going on 2 years now is so inexcusable!

Anonymous said...

Unless, of course, quite a few have stated publicly how BAD it is there ...
Sooo, except for that, it's just like when people leave for happy reasons. --eye roll--

Anonymous said...

When was the last release where it went off without a hitch?

Anonymous said...

on the forum it says that the site was bogged down with people buying and logging in ....

Anonymous said...

I could come up with all kinds of half facts and say trust me too. Chances are, some of the chit would even come true.

Don't believe all of the stuff that you read on the internet folks.

Anonymous said...

on the forum it says that the site was bogged down with people buying and logging in ....

Mmmhm

Anonymous said...

I agree. That, and the other part being that people walked away months ago and have had no reason to look back ...

Anonymous said...

To the 4:43 "insider" ... don't forget to collect your $1,000 from Rick. He said he would paypal you could prove anything you said was true. Lisa did, in fact, leave. Stay tuned for more truth ...

Anonymous said...

When was the last release where it went off without a hitch?
----^ ^ ^
Or even a 'bitch' for that matter. PTI has YET to take responsibility for ANYTHING.

Anonymous said...

@20:09
I think it is true that a lot of people now log in over the day rather than the late night release where everyone is posting at a concentrated time, actually. :)

Anonymous said...

Question for the 4:43 insider - when you said this:

"2. Mish and Lisa are leaving, left, diminishing their work because of this blog. Jessica will be next. In some cases it is the smack (see 3) others the stink."

I don't understand what their leaving has to do with the smack blog. It took me the longest time to even think who "Jessica" is. I've been reading the smack for a long time and I don't remember her being mentioned. Lisa either.

Anonymous said...

Noooooooooooo! Please don't foreshadow that Jess will be leaving. She has such fun creative posts and a beautiful clean and simple style to her cards. Let's not speculate on ppl leaving, please.

Anonymous said...

Three months since the infamous new website was released. Not much has changed. It's still fucked up. Sorry, I'm pissed off right now about wasting about an hour and a half trying to get my little order placed. Have never seen such inept players. It's absurd that this goes on month after month.

Anonymous said...

OMG I am laughing my ass off yet again. People can't order on whipped up frenzy release night? I think Larry, Moe, and Curly would have been better equipped to run this business.

Anonymous said...

Rick - You might want to leave any hint that you were ever connected with Papertrey Ink off your resume. Their grasp of technology is an epic FAIL!
