  3. I love Claire at WMS, but that peek with the girl with the light bulbs on her head is just weird.

  4. Why is washi tape so expensive. It is nothing but paper medical tape. You can buy huge rolls of it for under $2. Is the printing on it what makes it pricey?

    ReplyDelete
  5. Is there still an online stamp store called Artful Inkables?

    thanks

  6. Haha, light bulbs!

  7. Hah... I want to love everything that Claire does, and I do love a lot of it, but really not feeling that set she peeked today at ALL.

  8. i got my first impress order in yesterday.

Can't say i'm very 'impress'ed. 2 of the 3 pads are a semi dry. there is enough ink to stamp but i have to tap like a fool about a dozen times ala Nichole Heady to get a small 1.25 circle image ready to press to paper.

The 3rd ink pad perfectly covered the stamp with only 1 tap.

I don't know if this is lessoned learned for me or if it is worth the hassle to send em back. I also picked colors that i don't really like once i'm seeing them in person so i doubt getting a newer juicy pad would help.

    Oh well. live & learn.

I did like the texture of the pad...was foam but had a canvas looking foam material on top. not the horrible SU canvas at all...it did look like canvas but felt like foam.

  9. I'm guessing it's the girl version of the little boy set she had with the submarine. Man, I loved that sub but have absolutely no need for stamps for little boys :(

    ReplyDelete
  10. I would send impress an email explaining what you've said here and see what they say. I always find the linen pads to be tricky.
This is not the least bit helpful to you but I usually buy reinkers at the same time that I buy a new stamp pad. That way I don't have to go searching for it later on.

    ReplyDelete
  11. 7:54, you should contact Impress. I am guessing their defective policy is NOT like PTI and won't require you to return the product.

I got a defective ink pad from Ranger once and contacted them and they replaced it no questions asked AND didn't require me to send it back!

You could send them an email at least and would let us know what they say if you do?

    ReplyDelete
  12. 7:54, call Impress. NONE Of my Fresh Ink pads have anything that looks like linen, or canvas. Pure foam and looks like foam.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Donna, what do you think it means that my pads looked canvas-y and yours don't? Maybe I'm just seeing it wrong or describing it wrong.

Does anyone have an up close pic of their Impress pad?

  14. Does anyone else think that some people really overprice sets that are listed for sale on the forum? I can see $18 for a $24 set, and $10 for a $15 set, with US shipping included and the set already in a cd case with a label (this is how I have sold some). But when I see someone listing a $24 set for $20 (sometimes not even including a CD case and/or label) there is no way I would buy it. I can buy it new for $24, plus essentially get a rewards point so it's really only $23, AND I have the protection that if something is wrong/defective or even a stamp later goes missing, I at least have the option of pursuing it with PTI CS (and before anyone says "yeah right", I have had stamp issues at least 3 times and always got them resolved with little effort through CS).

I guess if you have sworn off buying from PTI altogether then you might see the pricing differently. But still, I just don't see $4 off a $24 set as much of a deal for a USED set. Maybe I'm just too cheap, lol!

I don't know why you would look elsewhere. This is a wonderful company that has very talented designers. I've been a customer for 3 years and have never had a bad experience. There WERE a few discontent buyers especially when they went thru a change in website and shopping cart. If you will go to their forums, you will see that those who were unhappy are singing a different tune now. This company has done everything they can to make these FEW customers happy. They have even mailed FREE stamps, and have gone over and above to fix problems. I will continue to order from them every month and I usually order around $200.00.

    She really chaps my hide!

    ReplyDelete
  16. I would spend $20 on a $24 set and pay shipping if it was a set that I really wanted. I only have 1 or 2 of those on my wishlist though. Other than that, I pretty much have everything so I look for good deals on the for sale board.

    ReplyDelete
  17. 8:40, I think that is what 8:34 is getting at, it's not a really good deal on the FSOT board.

And I agree...I've often wondered at the very slight discount people give for used stamps. Maybe they are emotionally invested in the sets rather than just trying to get rid of them. That's how I am when our family has a yard sale. I can't let my precious stuff go for meer dollars so I leave and let DH handle the cheapos. And I"m a cheapo too cuz I expect the same low prices at other people's yard sales. UGh. I'm such a hypocrite.

I think people have bought into Nichole's self-promotion so completely and are brainwashed into thinking the stamps are so wonderful that even used and stained they're still worth retail.

    ReplyDelete
  19. That 'Shipping" thread will be locked soon. Bet my socks on it.
Dawnie tried to explain why it was so expensive, PTI's hands are tied etc. But she got called out on it.

And, notice someone else is going to do a ribbon share.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Good deal , probably not. From the sellers POV , they should at least be getting something for their trouble. Personally I can't be bothered dealing with multiple people and going to the post office so I won't be selling anytime soon.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I sent off an email to Impress about my dry ink pads. We shall see what happens.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Dawnie should stay away from answering questions when she doesn't know for sure.
I remember her thanking the lady that explained exactly how to convert reward points into gift certificates and wondering how Nichols would feel about that. Also, suggesting that Australia should get their own PTI? I bet Nichole was just wishing that she would stay quiet! Lol!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Dawn tries, but she is thinking like a customer or a nice owner, not like PTI.

and do you really think that these DT members are on the forum for FREE?

Trust me, they are not. Even Nichole confessed that she had to pay them for the SAF work. Come on, use your brains.

And Rick is the website. If you don't want to trust me (and I don't blame you) --
Check out one of the threads where Dave is quoted as saying that he was referring a store issue to "Rick and the website team."

  24. I remember her thanking the lady that explained exactly how to convert reward points into gift certificates
    -------------------------------
Haha. I remember that now that you mention it. That was a classic.

    ReplyDelete
  25. You couldn't pay me enough to get involved in policing that forum. It's difficult to do it and NOT look out-of-touch and totally fake. Although, I give credit to Debbie Olsen who, in my opinion, has maintained her pride and her professional image (unlike Dawn).

    ReplyDelete
  26. At what point will there be 100% agreement that whoever designed / maintains this PTI storefront has NO IDEA what they are doing? It was rolled out for the Feb release. It's may. There are kids graduating from Kindergarten who now have better computer skills.

    ReplyDelete
  27. 09:05 - Yeah, will be interesting to see how long before that shipping thread gets buried/locked.

Also, on the same thread, the lady from Sth Africa is still waiting for a resolution to her February order (the pkg that went to Australia). She pointed out that "expensive shipping" didn't do her much good.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I think that pti wants all shipping and cs posts to go to zendesk because customers often chime in with their helpful 2 cents when they really have no clue about what goes on behind the scenes.

    ReplyDelete
  29. 8:34 - $20 is on the high end of what I'd pay for a used set. It would have to be one I like and include shipping.

The benefit to me is I can buy one set without coming up with enough for free shipping. And since I'm in OH, I get sales tax tacked on if I buy from PTI. If I buy used, I don't.

And stained stamps don't bother me. As long as they are not damaged in any way, I'm good.

    ReplyDelete
  30. ^^that should be one I really want. I'm not in the habit of buying stamps that I don't like, new OR used.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I like a lot of papertrey stamps but until (if) I can feel good about ordering, I will buy used. It will be a very long time with a lot of positive changes before I would consider ordering again.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I think that pti wants all shipping and cs posts to go to zendesk because customers often chime in with their helpful 2 cents when they really have no clue about what goes on behind the scenes.
    ----------------------
I agree that PTI wants to sweep ALL unpleasant topics behind Zendesk ... but in defense of the customer, I think most are baffled why shipping is so much more complicated for PTI than it is for every.small.business in the history of small business.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Someone "over there" said Global Greetings will be ba-a-a-ack this month. Wonder if they've got it right this time.

    ReplyDelete
  34. From the shipping thread, I like the idea of getting rid of the plastic boxes but I would bet money on people complaining because they love the special touches that pti provides.
Also, if they saw how little space their $200 order actually takes up, they would feel ripped off. The box and packaging makes it look more substantial.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I have thought about selling some of my stamps. I have many (don't ask) that are brand new, never been use dstamps. Yes, they were assembled in the CD case, but absolutely never used. I would sell that for $20 at least. There are many internationals would would pay that plus shipping to get the sets. If I had used the set and it had stains, etc. I wouldn't ask $20 but for a brand new used one - yeah I would charge that.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Some $24 sets are worth more than others too.For example, I would pay more for the jar set than I would for the "Framed" set which is essentially 2 large rectangles with holes. For something like "Take a Bough", I might pay $15 for it."Teachers Apple"? I'd pay $20 for that.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I noticed someone on the Buy/Sell/Trade forum is selling some $24 sets for $20 + $2.50 for shipping. WTH? She's totally whack and there's no way in hay-ell I'll pay her $22.50 for a used set. I have paid $20 for a used set (that $20 included shipping) that I really wanted. But for the most part, nah. I'll pass.

    ReplyDelete
  38. ....and she's selling impression plates for $15.

I guess it would be okay if the items were OOS.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I have sold some things on the forum. I try to price them to sell, but have listed and gotten takers for some sets priced at $20 including shipping. The sets I price at $20 are sets I believe to be more scarcely available used. For example, if I were to list Rosie Posie, I would list it at $20 including shipping.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I would pay almost retail for the new strawberry set since I am not planning to order directly from PTI.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I hit up the Market Street Stamps sale yesterday. Received confirmation and tracking info soon after. Checked tracking today and it's already on its way. Now that is service! you hear that PTI, it's not that hard!

    ReplyDelete
  42. I'm personally quite happy that the market for used stamps on the PTI forum is still relatively high. You can't get much at all on Splitcoast for used stamps any more. I have a whole box of stamps for sale that I can hardly give away. And the only way that the value stays high on the forum is if most people stick with the same general pricing, which at the moment is $18-20 for $24 sets and $10-12 for $15 sets. There are definitely buyers at those prices, so there is no reason to drop the price at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  43. So, does PTI have to take packages to the post office or does the post office pick up from them? Maybe the post office refuses to come more than once every 3 or 4 days.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Do non-PTI stamp sets sell well over on the FSOT forum? I have a bunch of SU sets for the copic lovers that I need to unload.

Isn't it freeing when you realize what items you have that just aren't your 'style'? I don't color with markers so all open images have to go!

    ReplyDelete
  45. ^^^ oh, and clear sets from other companies.

    ReplyDelete
  46. 12:32, really? Just because you don't want to color? There are so many other methods than markers and I'm wondering what attracted you to those images in the first place. Not giving you a hard time at all - just think there could be other options if you bought them because you really like them.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I wouldn't buy SU but I would look at other clear stamps. I would post them on PTI and SCS for best exposure.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I don't usually follow SU at all but followed a link on SCS to the new in colors. I have to say, those are some fugly colors! If they are in style again, it's a good thing that I held onto all that cardstock that I bought in 1993!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Chris,

I think the pricing you're suggesting is very fair, but sellers that offer sets at those price levels generally also include shipping in their price.

I looked at the impression plates someone had for sale yesterday - she was asking $15 plus $2.50 shipping - $17.50 for a die that PTI sells for $16.

I guess you could say you're "saving" money because PTI would charge more for shipping on one item, but you at least have the option of spending enough to get free shipping at PTI.

    ReplyDelete
  50. So, does PTI have to take packages to the post office or does the post office pick up from them? Maybe the post office refuses to come more than once every 3 or 4 days.
    -------------------------
I asked Rick this same thing, not to be nosy but to try and honestly cut them some slack by understanding. Rick said he didn't know b/c he had only been to the warehouse a few times.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Will Nichole chime in again on the shipping thread?
Will Dawn come back and add some sunshine effectively bumping the post by accident?
Or will it just die quietly with no resolution?

Join us again tomorrow for As PTI Turns.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I agree that $10/$18 are fair prices for the $15/$24 original price sets, if shipping is included. But I just wouldn't go higher than that - it isn't enough of a deal to make it better than buying the brand new version from PTI. But then, I still place orders regularly (and get free shipping), and I'm not international. If those are factors in the decision, then the prices might be veiwed differently.

Hey, if sellers can draw those kinds of prices then I say more power to 'em! There is obviously enough of a market for it. Maybe it's a psychological thing for me, but I'd rather pay full price for the NEW, than pay that close to full price for the NOT NEW. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  53. "As PTI Turns." That explains it! Why I just can't turn away =)

    ReplyDelete
  54. It drives me crazy when I read (SCS) that people have ordered recently from PTI w/ no prob. and assume they have fixed everything. I mean, while I am glad these customers don't have problems, can't they see that nothing is fixed except that now there aren't as many orders??

    ReplyDelete
  55. ^^ And the fact that PTI still remains completely UNAPOLOGETIC for their issues really bugs me. I don't expect every small business to apologize for every hiccup ... but when things get to *this* level of bad, it would be nice to at least see some acknowledgement. I'm so put off by their finger-pointing arrogance. That, to me, is *NOT* fixed.

    ReplyDelete
  56. If I ordered like a well known poster on SCS, I certainly wouldn't be advertising it.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Posting that you have ordered and that everything went smoothly sounds like endorsement to me.

    ReplyDelete
  58. If I ordered like a well known poster on SCS, I certainly wouldn't be advertising it.

^^^^^ you mean Joan B? Yes, I was surprised to read she placed an order.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Wasn't Joan B upset with PTI and wasn't going to order until they got their act together? Or am I just imagining things?

    ReplyDelete
  60. I think she was going to stay away, too, but she seems to waffle a lot. She did say it has been over 6 months since she ordered and she knew she was taking her chances.

Honestly I think I could feel comfortable ordering because I have not had any problems myself except a few years ago. But I'm not purchasing from them on principle. I don't like the way they do business. For a lot of people, they just want what they want.

    ReplyDelete
  61. There are many people that will successfully be able to order but for many of us, it's the principal. If I really want pti to change and to understand the importance of customer service, I will speak with my wallet and hope that the lightbulb truly goes on one of these days. I haven't seen that yet.

    ReplyDelete
  62. who cares what Joan B thinks? mediocre stamper with more cash than talent

    ReplyDelete
  63. Joan b has a huge blog following and her giving pti the thumbs up is like telling her followers that it's okay to order.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Joan B is one of the most respected stampers out there and she is a friend, and no she does not have tons of money by any means.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I think Joan B has a following because of her personality and sense of humor more than anything else.

Ok, can someone help me? Can you only buy the Hexagon shape dies WITH the combo of stamps from Clear and Simple??

    ReplyDelete
  70. 13:56 - I would bet that the shipping thread will die with no resolution.
PTI has shown they have no intention of doing anything about more shipping options, especially for internationals.
Their reasons/excuses for following this line are quite pathetic.
And who can believe 'we are looking into it as a future option'??
Might as well just move on and get used to ordering from other companies.

  71. I think the shipping thread will disappear with no resolution.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Someone else is doing a ribbon share on the forums.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Someone really needs to tell Clear & Simple Stamps that they sell DIES, not DIE CUTS. The metal thing that cuts paper is called a "die", people. The paper shape that it cuts out is called a "die cut". Drives me nuts when people IN THE BUSINESS (e.g., certain PTI DT members on their videos) don't know this difference, but to see it on a retailer's website is mind boggling.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Drives ME nuts when people call their electronic cutting machines die-cutting machines and the cuts they make die-cuts. Even when they call them "digital die-cuts." Dies are metal cutting devices much like cookie cutters, people! Not electronically-controlled knives! Stupid people are stupid.

  94. since you asked...had mixed feelings about buying. haven't followed the PTI doings too much lately but seemed like things had improved.

had just received word that my meeting with my surgeon to receive results of biopsy (she flat out refuses to give me the results over the phone and tells me to bring my husband) was being put off for over a week and a half longer than originally scheduled because she is taking time off!!! was over the moon upset and looking to console myself with a stamping expenditure.

decided to get some long coveted PTI sets. never occurred to me that posting my experience was endorsing the company and encouraging a large amount of folks to buy. just sharing my experience so folks would know how PTI was doing.

no one I know needs me to tell them what to do. you are all adults and can make up your own minds.

hope this doesn't sound too dramatic or overly personal for a smack blog! you asked. just being honest! wish me luck!

back to cleaning the mess in my craft room.

ps. please don't go on FB or my blog and indicate anything about this. my kid and most of my friends know nothing. I guess I just felt like unloading this morning and you guys offered the perfect opportunity. thanks.

Nichole tries to defend and rationalize crappy, overpriced shipping, but I'm not buying it.

First, if stamps were in cello envelopes (instead of smaller hard sided boxes), putting them in padded envelopes would be easier. And, shipments would be lighter.

Secondly, the preprinted flat rate international priority boxes come with tracking and are cheaper than the big brown boxes PTI uses for overseas packaging.

Both options would save customers money. If every ounce counts with shipping, they should've done away with ALL the pretty excess packaging. Are customers paying for all the pretty paper crumpled in half empty boxes? Is THAT why US shipping is now $70? Do the unicorns realize that they are paying for the "boutique" image those lowbrow ladies are hocking? Don't think so.

Nichols needs to stop making it sound like they are so swamped and too cash poor to take risks on first class shipping nowadays. Five years ago, replacing $500 of merchandise a month could send a fledgling business into the red. I get that. BUT, does anyone think they couldn't eat that same loss this month? Reality is, I don't think they'd even notice it in the bottom line. I think it's purely a case of "we don't want to and you can't make us change".

    ReplyDelete
  96. I didn't find anything wrong with nichole's explanation. I do agree about the excess packaging though. Why do the stamps need to be in plastic boxes at all?

    ReplyDelete
  97. They just don't need the excess packaging now. It was a valid point when they included the CD case with the set, and that needed to be protected. Now, no CD case, nothing to be broken. You don't need the space-consuming packaging now.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Joan, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Stamps always make me feel better when things are looking difficult. Do what you need to. You are not responsible for anyone else's choices.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Exactly, we are in USA and fortunately we are able to make alot of choices. We can purchase what and where we want and talk about it. In the big scheme of things does PTI really matter one way or another? Everyone can choose...

  106. Doesn't PTI use the USPS flat rate boxes? It's been so long since I've ordered I can't remember - but I wonder if that's why (one of the reasons) they won't budge on shipping costs. They can get those boxes for free from the Post Office (at least I did for my online business) so maybe they just don't want to pay for boxes to up their costs?

    ReplyDelete
  107. Joan, wishing you best of luck and my lips are sealed. I can understand wanting to make a purchase, too.

But, "haven't followed the PTI doings too much lately but seemed like things had improved." I don't quite know why you think things have improved.

And: "just sharing my experience so folks would know how PTI was doing." Folks do get plenty of anecdotal feedback that an order for an individual has arrived in good time. I don't think it speaks to "how PTI was doing."

I think you are being modest - I think you really do know that you have a following and many people flock to locations you mention. Of course, it would be nice to assume everyone is an adult and can make up their own mind but when it concerns a company that has been as rude and unresponsive to their customers as PTI, then I think it would have been better for you to just not say anything at all, because really many are not very adult at all. How many stampers have you heard over the years basically say that if so-and-so didn't show something, do something, talk about something, they wouldn't have a clue how to even make a card?

Of course, you are well within your rights to post and blog about anything you wish, but with a situation like this you can't be too surprised that people have noticed. Like it or not, people like you and follow you, Joan, and you do have a voice in the stamping community. If I were you, I think I'd say, well, that's their problem, LOL! And maybe that's how you feel. But you do have some "power" and others know that.

Again, sending good thoughts your way (shh-h-h ;) )

  108. OOh! Call on me!! Excess packaging! I know that one!

Pure vanity. They want to be that "boutique" and want that image. They have enough idiots oohing and aahing over that beautiful packaging often enough that they've bought into that.

PTI and the unicorns are a pathetic codependent bunch alright.

PTI should just sell their products to stores and be done with it.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Haven't looked at the peeks yet, but to "flip flop" girl -- I believe they already came out with a set with flip flops ages ago.

(of course they did. they do so little that's original now)

    ReplyDelete
  110. Joan, I wish you nothing but the best and I hope that everything turns out well for you.

I agree with the poster above that said that you have a huge following and that people will buy just because they think that you are giving them the thumbs up.

I was also curious as to why you would advertise that everything seems okay without really knowing.

I did say curious. Of course it is really none of my business and I wish you nothing but good thoughts.

    ReplyDelete
  111. I am thinking, and hoping, that these are smaller sets for less $.

Because this seems to be the thing PTI does lately and it's one thing I don't like. They come up with one cute thing and then give you a bunch of different patterns for it instead of coming up with more items. If it's an inexpensive set, I get it.

The phone is adorable - but not if it's really small. Not everyone is good at lining up those tiny little parts.

Just seems like if they do this the way they usually do, these will be small and then next year they'll do a big version.

Even if they do improve service, I think you're always better off with PTI to wait 6 months to a year before ordering anything.

    ReplyDelete
  112. I have my own 6 month waiting period for PTI and every time Nichole says something that shows me that she really doesn't get customer service, I start the 6 months over again.

The last one for me was when she got into it on the forum with a customer. Right or wrong,I thought it was bad business.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Flip flop girl may not know about the long ago released set with flip flops in it.
If she is new she wouldn't know - the site is to hard to negotiate and browsing is almost impossible

    ReplyDelete
  114. I think the little telephone is cute and the fact it comes in parts has me thinking of ways to use it, if and when I ever order again.

Joan, so sorry to hear about the difficult time you are going through. You have every right to buy what you want to make yourself smile - you owe no one an explanation.

    ReplyDelete
  116. I like seeing positive comments here about sneak peeks because then resolving not to buy is actually having impact.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Re: Clear and Simple
So is it true? You can only buy the hexagon dies if you buy the whole set with the stamps? So expensive!!

    ReplyDelete
  118. PTI have shown that they have no interest in offering alternative shipping options.
Their excuses and reasoning don't hold much weight and all those who shop at the other sites know this. All these other companies have managed to cope with the 'difficulty' of cheaper shipping options.
I am enjoying shopping at these other companies

    ReplyDelete
  119. Is no one going to say anything about the new flip flop sentiment?!!
    "Have a flippin' great birthday"

    ReplyDelete
  120. 08:55 - Groan. Can't bear to comment on it.

    ReplyDelete
  121. I like seeing positive comments here about sneak peeks because then resolving not to buy is actually having impact.

I am missing the connection here.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Gina K already has an adorable phone! and you could use the receiver separate

    ReplyDelete
  123. I am still Jonesing for the strawberry set.

    ReplyDelete
  124. 0855 - In Flippin, Arkansas! (there really such a place)

    ReplyDelete
  125. I actually had a full cart and I might have clicked "submit" at any given time because I am impulsive like that. However, my cart dumped (lol) so it made that decision pretty easy. It was a temporary lapse in judgement because I would have felt like a hypocrite for ordering anyways.

    ReplyDelete
  126. It is not a sentiment I would choose to use.

    ReplyDelete
  127. You are right grammar check, Joan owes nobody an explanation.

What people were saying though is that she should consider how much weight her name carries when choosing to endorse or not endorse a company. That's all.

    ReplyDelete
  128. My Gina K order came this week and the strawberry papers are gorgeous. The lace borders are even more intricate than I imagined and look so vintage done in a light beige on vanilla cardstock. Black looks very cool on red and I really like white on red for a Valentine look. Black on yellow is very pretty too.

    ReplyDelete
  129. I might be in the minority but I have been stamping for 10+ years and my stash of stamps, ink and paper is pretty big. I don't place orders anywhere every single month and even with pti I would only order every few months because of shipping. It really isn't hurting me all that much to not order from PTI.

    ReplyDelete
  130. BTW, I wasn't trying to brag if that's the way it came across. I just meant that I can usually find an alternative to the things that PTI carries.

    ReplyDelete
  131. There don't seem to be any dt members manning the boards today.

    ReplyDelete
  132. @8:53 - have you seen Lifestyle Crafts' Hexagon DIes? Had them in my Amazon cart for a while until one day then went down to $14 and change. Even better, they cut like butta.

    ReplyDelete
  133. 8:57 I think she means that if you didn't like anything it wouldn't make any difference if you stopped shopping there - you wouldn't be buying anything anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Thank you for the clarification 9:53. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  135. Thanks for the review, Donna C. I was eyeing the lace borders from Gina. So pretty and new to me that I'd be willing to overlook the fact that they're red rubba stamps.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Just Rite Stampers has some great lacy borders, too, that are clear!

    ReplyDelete
  137. I love Joan and her blog. I must say I do value her posts and thoughts on stamp companies. Though she doesn't think so, her word does sway me (and I'm sure her other blog readers).

    ReplyDelete

7:48 - WHAT THE HECK IS YOUR PROBLEM??? Why would you post such a comment in response to Donna's comment? Did you not understand what Joan said? This is a Smack Blog, but your comment was uncalled for and doesn't belong here.

    ReplyDelete
  139. I'm hoping that the "prayers?" person misunderstood or just didn't read closely enough.

    "a flippin' great birthday" ????

    What were they thinking??

I call this one a flop, haha.

    ReplyDelete
  140. All I can figure is someone here thinks someone should not pray for Joan's outcome?

    ReplyDelete
  141. I don't get it either so I'm also hoping they just misunderstood or didn't take the time to read Joan's post here.

Blessings, Joan, and many prayers for a positive outcome and peace of mind as you wait.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Yup, I think someone didn't read her post. Regardless, it is a thoughtless comment ... Hugs to Joan!

    ReplyDelete
  143. Hexagon dies can only be purchased with the stamps, I think.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Joan, I'm absolutely astounded that a medical professional would behave that way! Prayers for you.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Okay...I typed out a response the other day and it did not post?? Not sure why so I am going to try this again. I know this is kind of an old topic but I wanted to share my experience.

I emailed CS service about my cart dumping and my first response from them told me about how they are adding a wish list feature to the website. First of all I didn't ask about a wish list and how in the heck is that going to solve the cart dumping problem?? This reply was from Dave. Also he closed the ticket as if the problem was solved.

So I emailed him back saying that my problem was not solved. Then I asked him if he wanted me to wait until June to fill my cart. I mentioned that someone on the forum brought this topic up and the thread was locked. etc.

So then I get a response from Rick saying that "we process thousands of orders a month from all over the world, and there seems to be about 5 or 6 people who experience "cart dumping" " (really I am one of 5 or 6 people??) He then goes on to blame apple and different browsers. He asked me to try a different browsers and let to let him know how it goes.

I was beyond frustrated! I know many of you are probably wondering why I would bother...I like there product and I do hope to order again in the future. I keep hoping to see some kind of change, I do not like the way they treat their customers.

Now on to today...Why would you ever produce a stamp with the word "flippin"?

    ReplyDelete
  146. Oops, I used the wrong there/their. Sorry grammar police :)

    ReplyDelete
  147. My cart dumped continously from Feb. 15 to early March. I have not tried it since then because I don't care to fill it, but I got the same response. It must be my server's problem, or me, or something, but PTI really doesn't think others have this problem. I just needed to get over it and buy a new computer, I guess.

    ReplyDelete
  148. I didn't think that it was possible to trivialize every single problem that anyone has ever had with PTI so effectively but winnb did it!

    ReplyDelete
  149. winnb may as well work for customer service.

  150. Tote Bag Share Coordinator5 May 2012 at 13:30

I'd like to propose a tote bag share:

Open to 8 people including myself. $10 per person.

Each person will receive one of the 7 badges (randomly) - I don't want one.

I will cut the tote bag into 1" thick strips and divide them equally among the participants - by my calculations you should have roughly 2 yards of tote bag to do with as you wish. Use it as ribbon on your next project, or maybe braid it into a bracelet and use your patch to embellish it - kind of like a "mock watch".

There are only 2 pencils so I will break each one into thirds - 6 people will get a third of a pencil, the other person will get the sharpener - after I sharpen all the pencil thirds.

There are two pens. I cannot equally divide them, so, for an extra $2 you can add the pens on to your tote bag package. (goes to the first person who messages me)

Likewise with the water bottle...cannot be divided, so for an extra $5 you can purchase the water bottle. (goes to the first person who messages me)

I will keep the stamp set since I didn't get a badge, pens, water bottle, sharpener or pencil third.

Please pay via paypal "gift" option.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Hahaha! I will take 1 spot please. I hope that international shipping isn't too much!

    ReplyDelete
  152. Tote Bag Share Coordinator5 May 2012 at 13:34

I have Dawn coordinating my shipping costs, as soon as she gets back to me, I'll get back to you.

    ReplyDelete
  153. Ugh! I'm sitting on my hands NOT to post this on the forum. I know, I am so funny!

dawn said-Mmmm.....my lips are sealed!Haha. BUT, there are some really fun new products coming out this month.....a little something for everyone, I'd say. Can't wait for you all to see!

Does that mean more miniature versions of already released stamp sets? :D

    ReplyDelete
  154. Thank you Tote BS coordinator! I know that Dawnie will have no problem just telling you to toss it into a padded envie!

    ReplyDelete
  155. Can we please do an add on share too? I am pining for a mystery color of cardstock!

    ReplyDelete
  156. Don't forget the ribbon scraps they can't sell, I mean randomly select from their warehouse with love and care. *rolleyes*

    ReplyDelete
  157. LOL at the tote bag share!

    ReplyDelete
  158. I am quite bothered by the winnb quote but I will keep quiet. There is no use engaging her when she actually thinks that she is right.

    ReplyDelete
  159. I'm lost...what did winnb say? I know, I know... I have to keep up...

    ReplyDelete
  160. Nevermind!!! My lazy ass just looked at the top of the comments...back to our rugular scheduled smacking...

    ReplyDelete
  161. Sign me up for the tote share! Please make sure I get the top third of the pencil...I really need the eraser.

    ReplyDelete
  162. I'm another one whose cart dumps and I'll be damned if I'm going to open a help(less) desk ticket on it. Dave will misunderstand, half-assed read the issue, reply with something that doesn't make sense and then close the ticket. My guess is that there is an issue with Windows7, too (supposedly they found the issue with Apple OS). Dumps in IE. Dumps in Firefox 11 AND 12. Dumps in Chrome. Should probably take the hint and stop putting shat in there, huh?

Flippin' PTI the bird. OMG, combine the flip-flop set with the Diarrhea bird set...hilarious!!! "I'm flippin' you the bird."

    ReplyDelete
  163. Ditto what 8:23 said.

    ReplyDelete
  164. Flippin' Lordy Bees! It's your birthday!

    ReplyDelete
  165. I use Google Chrome in Windows Vista and haven't had a cart dump in a long time. It may not be only the browser, but a combo of a few different things. They should be collecting as much info as possible from all customers that have this problem and trying to find the common denominator causing the issue.
Then again, PTI's IT department looks to be just as inbred as PTI is.

    ReplyDelete
  166. I have Apple OS and tried about 2 hours ago and it has dumped.

    ReplyDelete
  167. I love the idea of making mock watches out of tote bits and badges! Do you mind if I use my pencil third as a faux watch hand and not give you any credit whatsoever? Awesome!

    ReplyDelete
  168. If I pay extra can I please have the embroidered part of the tote? I would like to stitch it across the butt on my sweatpants to cover up the less classy "juicy" wording.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Omg! Thats hilarious

    ReplyDelete
  170. 18:24 you got me rolling with that one!!

I use Chrome in Windows & and my cart really doesn't dump. I've had Strawberry Patch in it for almost a month, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  171. I want in on the Stamp-A-Crap share. Can I request a bottom pencil third that is sharpened on both ends? Or would that cost extra?

    ReplyDelete
