  2. From the last thread - what was the controversy that Ted started and Nichole defended? I'm still banned from the forum and didn't care to beg Rick to let me back in.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Only 20 comments on Nicholes Blog for the SAF since first announcement!!! Hahahahaha

Well I think that says a lot!!!

Maybe the uni aren't dumber than we think.

I just might go post a comment how awesome the value of the tote is. Oh and tell Nichole how she has outdone herself!!!

    ReplyDelete
  4. i wonder if anyone is going to order BAHAHAHA.......and another thread locked!

    ReplyDelete
  5. I left a comment on Nichole's blog for the SAF! (insert evil laugh)

    ReplyDelete
  6. And just why was that locked? It makes them look foolish and panicked.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Some brave soul should start a thread called "Can someone tell me about PTI ink coverage?"

    ReplyDelete
  8. I was just reading the blog comments for SAF and saw this one...

Nichole you have totally outdone yourself! I can't believe the value of the Tote Collection. I just have one question though, could you send me just the stamp set, die and paper pad and make & take valued at $34.00? I really don't have a need for the rest that's valued at $70.00. Thanks!!

I predict that Nichole's answer is going to be DELETE BUTTON!!!

    ReplyDelete
  9. And then I was reading the forum and found this post by Nichole...

Re: Stamp-a-faire "Summer Camp" Details Posted

The entire front page will be different to reflect the pre-order link. The web tech ran into a small snag and it should be up in just a few minutes. Thanks for your patience! :)

NOOOO! SERIOUSLY??? How is that even possible? (sarcasm font!)

    ReplyDelete
  10. FROM the forum and this thread is immediately locked:

I hate to post this for fear it will turn into another PTI bash , but I'm really wondering if I am the only one ... my Strawberry Patch Sentiments stamp set was missing the small type-style font word "sweet". If you look at your stamp set insert, it would be located next to the smaller version of the script-style font "berry" stamp. I see now that the stamp image has been removed from the stamp set preview on the website. I wrote CS about it some time ago and was told that they would send it to me. I really hope they follow through.

Anyone get a set that included the "sweet" stamp?

    ReplyDelete
  11. PTI is slamming Pinterest with card after card after card. Hundreds of them posted in the last few hours.

    ReplyDelete
  12. WTF! Why can't these morons proofread anything before it goes out the door. Love how the strawberry fiasco is the printers fault, not PTI. Oh yeah, great that they are locking that thread so it falls off and nobody else see's it!

    Fuck you Nichole!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Fuck you anonymous

    ReplyDelete
  14. Funny that a dt member had to start a thread saying "so excited about Stamp a faire!".

    ReplyDelete
  15. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  16. 7:32 I agree with you.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Of course she is excited about SAF - she is going to get paid!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Mariah C's comment - totally awesome. And, yes, it will be deleted no doubt. Glad we got to enjoy it while it lasted.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I hate to point out the obvious ... but ... the main website where customers actually purchase the things PTI sells is STILL a f'up mess, but the "web tech" has been devoting his time to the summer camp front page??

Makes perfect sense in PTI land.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Maybe the summer camp needs BUG SPRAY for their website.

    Bwahahahahaha.

That particular stamp was removed from the set from the beginning because it did not fit on the stamp sheet. It does not appear on the webview, label or within the actual stamp set. Unfortunately, the printer did not catch the revised version of the packaging before some of the circulation, so that stamp does appear on some packaging of sets shipped out already. If you received a Strawberry Patch Sentiments set with the "sweet" stamp on the packaging, just file a help ticket through the Customer Service forum and we will send that individual stamp to you.

This particular topic is considered a Customer Service matter, so please be sure to direct all future conversations regarding this topic there. Thank you and we look forward to the opportunity to provide this image that were affected by the incorrect packaging.

    *******************

there is so much I don't understand about Nichole's response to the strawberry stamp debacle.

    Am I getting this right....

    1) the stamp wasn't supposed to be manufactured at all.

    2) But the printer (Heskamp printing I'm guessing?) missed the revision and created packaging that included the stamp

    3) which means PTI ultimately missed the "printer's" (snicker) error.

    4) but if you received the wrong packaging (what does she mean packaging...I thought all you got was the rolled up index label - which she said was correct????) you can create a trouble ticket and they will send you the single stamp that was never actually manufactured in the first place?

How are they providing these individual stamps when they weren't manufactured? Can they really requisition for only 1 part of a stamp set to be created? This just seems so weird to me.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I really want to *smack* Leigh! Starting a thread, "do you include you" Then she asks, "do you include you in your LO's? I do..."then goes on to ramble about her pages...We know Leigh! You shove them down our throats every chance you get! Is she in dire need of constant attention, or what? And everyone gives it to her! All the time! Why?

  36. 8:25 very good questions. It boggles the mind!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I don't visit the forums. I haven't shopped in over a year. But dammit, I'm entitled and expect you all to post on this blog everytime Nichole farts.

    ReplyDelete
  38. PTI should have made the exclusive stamp set something other than a floral. There are so many unique to PTI sets that would have had people paying the $80 for the tote just so they could be the first to own it.

    ReplyDelete
  39. 8:27 & 9:23, I wrote the poor girl comment and I'm with you on smacking leigh. I was kidding. Her thread just looked so lonely and vacant because there were like 16 views and no comments and you just know she is desperate for comments. I thought it would be funny if someone posted a one word answer, basically nothing further to discuss.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I haven't been on the forum but everything that's happening is crystal clear if you read the posts here.

I wonder how many got the "wrong printing" with the word 'sweet' because if they have that one word made by the manufacturer, they are going to get a LOT of them.

It seems there are some people who think we're trying to "take them down." We don't have to - they're doing a fine job all on their own.

Still a mess after all these years.

    ReplyDelete
  41. What does "LO" mean as in "include you in your LO??" or whatever it was. I don't get it.

    (go ahead, laugh)

    ReplyDelete
  42. @10:18 Gotcha! I kinda thought that's what you were saying...she is all over those boards today!

  44. About PTI and Pinterest- I stopped following them because they were clogging it up!

    ReplyDelete
  45. 8:25, I especially loved

    2) But the printer (Heskamp printing I'm guessing?) missed the revision and created packaging that included the stamp

    3) which means PTI ultimately missed the "printer's" (snicker) error.

So NH is blaming the printer (LOL) but really who's job is it to make sure shit goes out the door correctly? Do they (being the two J's) even take the 3 minutes to walk from the PTI area, down the hall and over into the Heskamp area and check on the packaging to make sure it's good?

Good grief, these people can fuck up a 1 car parade.

How about stop talking out of your anonymous ass RICK!!!

    We know it's you!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Thanks about LO - not a scrapper but as soon as I sent the question, it occurred to me.

    ReplyDelete
  54. 10:50 I'm pretty sure we all realize that none of us knows how things are set up at PTI, but it's just the idea that maybe some of the "owners" could be at least minimally proactive in checking on things.

It all just shows that they don't care about "exceeding expectations" one little bit. You can argue that they do care but they don't show it in any tangible way. Careless through and through.

    ReplyDelete
  55. "...and I have to agree, I don't need another tote in my life, but walking around Italy last September with my SAF bag over my shoulder gave me the warm fuzzies!"

I do not get warm fuzzies endorsing a product like PTI. I am not trying to take the company down but I am certainly not going to advertise for them.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Still (0) comments on Nichole blog for the sign up that was posted today. Like someone previous stated "it says a lot"

    ReplyDelete
  57. This is OT but it just occurred to me what I think smackers mean when they say they are sick of scrolling when there get to be a lot of posts.

Do you mean that the comment box is at the top of the page?

All you have to do is zoom in on your page and it ends up at the bottom/end of the comments.

(Zoom in or out by holding down the control key and using the + or - key, or the track wheel on your mouse)

    ReplyDelete
  58. A lot of people read on their phones and you have to scroll all the way to the bottom to read the newest posts. Also, on an IPhone, you have to scroll all the way to the top of the page to refresh. It's tedious (I know, first world problems).

    ReplyDelete
  59. Oh, okay. I had no idea what the scrolling meant but my screen was just zoomed in too far.

    I have a plain old make-phone-calls phone ;)

Sorry I didn't understand - thanks for explaining

    ReplyDelete
  60. I would be very curious to see how many totes actually get sold.

    ReplyDelete
  61. So is there a link that non-demos can see for SU sneak peeks?

    ReplyDelete
  62. Warm fuzzies carrying a PTI tote in Italy? LOFL..I'm sure all the hip Italians over there were fully in the know as to what PTI meant and their knowing winks contributed to the warm fuzzy feeling.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Hm, let me get the math straight. You purchase the tote for $80 which includes the SAF stamp set valued at $15 so you're essentially *buying* the stamp set. This leaves you with $76 for the tote and all the other stuff.

But if you buy $100 of items (and earn PTI reward pts), you get $15 stamp set for free which would be a bigger discount ($15 set + 4 points)

So the people who are buying the tote actually thinks the tote + badges + pencils + waterbottle is worth the $61?

You've got to be kidding me.

    ReplyDelete
  64. 11:58 here and oops.

I meant $65 for the tote and all the other stuff.

    The $61 is from $80 - ($16 + $3)

    ReplyDelete
  65. From Dawn - "You girls are making me smile. I bet we could ALL say that we need another tote bag like we need another hole in the head! LOL. I have a bit of a bag surplus myself..."

So 9 out of ten people are saying that they don't want the tote and you try to compare it to concert memories? I bet that you wanted to say "You girls are pissing me off".LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  66. On my phone, if I have clicked on Comments to read the comments, when I hit refresh, it automatically goes to the bottom, so I only have to scroll up a little ways to see the newest comments, instead of scrolling down all the way to the end. The only downside is that when the comments reach 200, I then have to click the post title to get the option of clicking on the newer comments. But when I have clicked the post title and then hit refresh, it stays at the top.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I don't think Merry meant she got warm fuzzies from advertising for PTI while in Italy. She just meant carrying the tote made her remember a happy day she had spent, and it IS a cute tote.

    ReplyDelete
  68. If you use the $100 retail price that NH provided , the stamping "goods" equal $34. That means that the tote and other chit is supposedly valued at $66. So $66 for a water bottle, some pencils, badges and a tote.Oh, and the dt's salary.

    ReplyDelete
  69. 10:50 (or should I say Rick/Nichole/Julie) you are especially cunty today. Are you pissed that your silly tote bag isn't going over as well as expected? Maybe you should get back to your hole and start coming up with some ideas that DON'T make us laugh.

12:09, right on! Maybe her use of "smile" is code for "want to punch things."

    ReplyDelete
  70. I'm safe (facepalm).

    ReplyDelete
  71. WOW at this breakdown from Ashjoy:

    Stamp ashjoy 15.
    Die and paper ashjoy 16.

    Badges Leigh 10.

    That leaves:
    Tote 15
    Pencil case12
    Water bottle 12

    ReplyDelete
  72. Is Ashjoy serious? On what planet is a handful if pencils worth $12? Hope Leigh has fun sewin on her new badges. Maybe she'll update her avatar with a pic of her in her vest. LOL

They should have no problems getting the preorder SAF kits out. Even PTI can't f*up sending a half dozen boxes. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  73. Well that breakdown equals 80 and it's supposed to be valued at 100.

    What's worth the extra 20?

    ReplyDelete
  74. They should have no problems getting the preorder SAF kits out. Even PTI can't f*up sending a half dozen boxes. LOL

  75. Pencil and pen set can be found at http://www.earthlygoods.biz, for example.

    Product # CPP-2054

Depending on turn around time and quantity, price looks to range from $1.19 to $2.44

There are some extra charges for some extra printing features.

    ReplyDelete
  76. 14:47 Exactly. I am just not seeing the "great business women" in this either. Perhaps Rick can explain the genius we're missing here.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Maybe NH and friends need to stick to what they did well - stamps and paper. They keep trying to conquer the world by adding bizarre items and it'd just getting messy.

    ReplyDelete
  78. 14:58, those prices are for quantities of 10,000 or 20,000.

The DT is gonna be creating unique pencil packaging for each release and holiday for the next 5 years!

    ReplyDelete
  79. Try www.epromos.com and search for SKU #8834719. You can order as few as 150 for $2.89 each. The logo set-up fee is less than $60.

    ReplyDelete
  80. More and more people are penny-pinching these days. When it costs more than $50 for a tank of gas, and the way the price of basic food is rising, we are making choices. Do I spend my leftover "fun money" on actual products that I can use, or on frivolous logo merchandise for a company I don't even want to be a walking advertisement for? Hmmm... let me think about that one!

It would be smart for companies these days to think these things through BEFORE planning shin-digs such as SAF. The idea of it is fun; but I think they would get a much better reception if they weren't trying to sell us all this overpriced logo fluff that really doesn't do us a bit of good other than to "look cool". And less and less people are finding value in that kind of stuff nowadays.

    ReplyDelete
  81. so far I think ~200+ kits have sold. It was at 1233 when I first checked this morning.

    ReplyDelete
  85. ALL anti-anything-that-other-people-don't-like people, suck it. We are all free to like what we like and dislike what we don't. Sometimes I get sick of hearing about the same thing over and over again if it's not something I'm personally interested in (such as the Amuse/Impress inks), but I get even MORE sick of the handslappers who try to shut other people up when their opinions are different.

(p.s. Trell, this is not a smack on you.)

and you wonder why people dont post anymore??? its because of people like you all that take everything down the negative hole

    ReplyDelete
  90. oh donna c what would we ever so do without you?????

    ReplyDelete
  91. I agree with the other poster - that they should have packaged kits with all the supplies needed for the make n takes (pre cut etc) and put them in the tote, charged $50 and called it a day.

I would have spent $50 for a tote full of the kits needed. no questions asked.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I agree 16:49, I wish people would quit posting "wow its so telling there are only 2 comments blah blah blah" people don't want to be talked about.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Why are there only 2 comments on NH's blog? There were about 20 this morning.

    ReplyDelete
  94. I pinky swear that if I thought the tote, etc was interesting or a good deal I would have NO problem saying so on the forum. Could not care less about you all think of me. Smack away. Oh, that's right I don't go public here because I DO CARE about what others think of me.

    Hangs head in shame.

    ReplyDelete
  95. The pre-orders should look like this:
    (1) Stamp set - $15
    (2) Stamp set + Make & Take - $20
    (3) Add-On tote & crap - ???
    (4) Color collection - $35 (have inventory of colors, first come, first pick)

Put the "add on" suggestions from current inventory as a shopping list and let people choose what/if they want to purchase them. Especially since some unicorns already have a bunch of that stuff.

If all you wanted was the stamp set and a color collection, I'm sure most shoppers would "top up" their cart to get free shipping. PTI gets a $70 sale and the customer is happy. Would be win win, but NH seems to go for the Deflect-Bitch-Screw U Over approach to business & CS these days.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Gina K must be getting a boatload of PTI customers switching over to her. I just got an email that says orders may now take up to SEVEN business days to LEAVE the warehouse. Ugghh., Why pay for priiority shipping?

    ReplyDelete
  97. As long as Gina K doesn't turn into PTI. ; )

Never understood the equation. If volume of orders have increased to the point where shipping time has doubled, wouldn't you be able to hire a few more staff to get boxes out the door in maybe a day or two longer than normal? It's not like the warehouse staff is making $50K for picking & packing boxes.

    ReplyDelete
  98. @17:39 - I don't even think the stamp set should even be in there if it's being offered for free for a $100 purchase on SAF day. And in this case, then the tote and all the other stuff is essentially worth nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  99. If I recall correctly, Gina K experienced order increases for her last release and for the current one. if I out my business cap on, I would assume that if the next release is the same then it would be time to consider hiring a few extra hands. One or two releases my be an anomaly.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Is it just me? I am not a fan of Gina Ks stamps in general.

    ReplyDelete
  101. I wish I liked Gina's stamps as much as I like her business sense.

Her toilet paper stamp set just kills me. I can't tell you how many times I've been making a card and thought, 'if only I could turn this card into a scat card!"

    ReplyDelete
  102. I really like 2 of Gina's latest sets. The lace borders are wonderful.

    ReplyDelete
  103. I ordered from Gina K on April 26 and my order shipped today!

Did everyone get an email from Gina ? She was having a problem with her website provider semding old messges

    ReplyDelete
  104. I ordered early the morning of the 27th and just a few minutes ago I got my shipping notice.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Well that breakdown equals 80 and it's supposed to be valued at 100.

    What's worth the extra 20?
    ^^^^^^^^^^^
In the picture the pencils come with a sharpener. HTH!
    (LOL)

    ReplyDelete
  106. 19:46, not just you. I can't stand her stamps. She seems like a wonderful person and I applaud her business sense and great customer service, but so many of her stamp sets are so far from my taste that they make me cringe.

I agree with everyone here that the SAF thing seems stupid. When I first read the theme, I thought it would be something like what others described - an exclusive stamp set and supplies to make specific cards (plus maybe a tote to put it in - sure, why not?). And I thought the theme was a cute idea and that the badges would be little images you could put on a blog post or something. But real badges? What am I supposed to do with those? Not that I'm even thinking about ordering this mess or any other mess from PTI. The pre-order kits are just a bunch of junk. And as for the add-on, who the eff would buy a whole color collection without knowing what color they would get? This is all such a terrible idea, but it comes from the seed of what seems like a cute idea to me. PTI can come up with great ideas, but can never seem to be able to execute them.

    ReplyDelete
  107. I looked at the stamps on her site the other day and I like quite a few of them.

I kind of wish her website was a bit more modern though.

    ReplyDelete

  114. I just received my IMPRESS order. WOW that was SO FAST. I am international....and half way around the world!

    ReplyDelete
  115. There are 931 kits in pre-inventory as of this morning. That means they've sold at least 300 of them. I can't believe people are buying into this.

    P.T. Barnum was right.

    ReplyDelete
  116. So Ted posts on a thread for a freebie giveaway, and says:

I already have the set, but just wanted to thank you for being so kind and generous. :) Very thoughtful!

If my name is chosen, please give it to the person who posts below me. ;)

I don't have a problem with him chiming in to say that it's nice of the person to offer the set up as a freebie, but I think it's a bit arrogant for him to TELL HER how to account for his entry. And if she listens to him, then she gives the person below him double the odds that everyone else has of winning. Of course, if I were doing the giveaway I would ignore his suggestion and just re-draw if he were to win. But still.... out of line.

  117. ^^^ I agree - that's pure attention-grabbing. pm someone or just don't post. Not everyone needs to see that you're thanking someone, Ted.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Shocked that so many people are preordering that garbage.

Thanks to whoever posted the SU link. Pretty tempting! Love those colors (though would never use their ink or cs - maybe when they change the ink), a couple of sets and the patterned paper. Have not ordered from them in years.

    ReplyDelete
  119. What's 'preorder inventory'? that doesn't make sense to me.

I like some of Gina K's sets but they're rubber, aren't they? I'd have to be in total can't-live-without-it love with an image before I'd ever buy rubber again. Same for SU (thanks for the peek, btw. What's the word on the new ink? What will it be like?). I might like their stamps but I'm only buying clear henceforth.

  121. I love Gina's paper! The new berry one this month is very cute

    How much did shipping cost?

    ReplyDelete
  123. ^^ I'm the impress buyer....shipping was $10. It wasn't a huge order. 2 dies, a couple of wooden stamps and tim holtz embossing things but happy to pay $10 shipping (saved that much with the sale!)

    ReplyDelete
  124. How arrogant to think that just because you don't like the pre-order kit that everyone who does order must be stupid? Because that's what some of the posts here seem to imply.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Not arrogance... just IMHO. I wouldn't say any PERSON was stupid. The behavior of purchasing overpriced crap is stupid.

    ReplyDelete
  126. I think that if these places would offer "same day shipping" they would find customers swarming to them. I know that I love Amazon Prime and as a result order so many thing there rather than buying anywhere else.

    ReplyDelete
  127. @Lion Through Their Teeth, not all of SU's inks are being reformulated. It's the pads themselves that are new (not the cases). I think they call it firm foam. The current ink refills will work just fine in the new pads, except for the 5 that are being reformulated.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Oh I thought the cases would be redone when they switch to foam. Hmm. Interesting.

  129. NH broke down the pricing for the "stuff" in the SAF kit.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Nice. From NH:

    Tote Bag- $25, with 20% discount= $20.00
    Stainless Steel Water Bottle- $15, with 20% discount= $12.00
    Lanyard & name badge holder- $5.50, with 20% discount= $4.40
    Pens, Pencils, Sharpener & case- $10, with 20% discount= $8.00

    Beautiful Beads Paper Pad & die- $16, with 20% discount= $12.80
    Make & Take kit- $3, with 20% discount= $2.40

    You gotta be kidding.

    ReplyDelete
  131. ^^^^ Gotta be kidding about what? I don't think these look unreasonable as "suggested retail prices". Overpriced? Sure. Every retail store in the country does this... "suggested retail" is always high, so that the consumer can feel like they are getting "a deal". But those prices don't seem out of line to me with the suggested retail that PTI would be getting from their vendor.

I'm not interested in buying it, but the endless smack about the price and the value of the items has really gotten old. Especially Donna C's stoooopid snarky remark to Joyce, "I see how you got the $80 total, but the bag is valued at $100 so you might have missed something." Uhm, newsflash Shit-Stirrer-Donna: Joyce was trying to break down the COST, not the RETAIL VALUE of the items.

    ReplyDelete
  132. The problems with this as far as I can see is that the badges should not be $10.50 to begin with.

And how many sheets in the paper pad and is it 6 x 6 or 8 x 8? Is that a triangular die for the paper beads? Okay. $3 for that and $6 or $8 for the paper. No way is that combo $16.

I could see paying that for the other things in a souvenir gift shop or boutique if you're on vacation or something. Those are appropriately inflated for gift shops.

With the 20% off, I'm not sure they'll make much on this.

I don't quite get why they even say 20% off. It's a one time sale right? So why not just say $100 value for $80? When do you buy this without the "discount?" Splitting hairs but still odd to me.

  134. I remember that woman from SCS - I thought she was from Kentucky?

    ReplyDelete
  135. @8:47 - I just don't think the stamp set at $15 should be included in there. Why would people think it's a better deal buying the stamp set for $12 than placing a $100 order and getting it for free?

    ReplyDelete
  136. @9:12 - Yeah in one of the ZOMG SAF! threads. I can't remember which one.

@9:13 - Could be, I can't really remember now. I don't really know where she is from, nor do I particularly care. And I really don't care enough to go back and find it. :)

  137. Good Lord, those SU! In Colors for this year are hideous together. I could see how they'd look nice in combination with other colors, but together they make me think 1993.

Also, in regards to shipping - I think these stamp companies are living in 1993 with their shipping costs as well. If I order something from Nordstrom, Zappos, or Amazon, I get free shipping. People don't expect to have to pay exorbitant shipping amounts from big companies anymore. I think SU! is completely out of their minds with me having to pay shipping TO MY DEMO. WTF, SU!? And PTI keeps increasing the minimum price to get free shipping. It became a losing proposition for me a while ago, even before the pile-up of debacles. Every time I wanted to order something, I couldn't collect $65 or $70 worth of stuff, half the time because things I wanted were out of stock. These companies need to get with the times.

    ReplyDelete
  138. carts are still dumping over in PTI-land...and CS is not exactly being helpful but is offering up a new "wish list" service that will roll out in June. (of course, that thread hasn't been clamped down just yet - but I'm sure it will be locked within the next few hours)

I guess the PTI business model is "keep flinging shit at the wall to see what sticks."

    ReplyDelete
  139. 10:05 same as your smack model

    ReplyDelete
  140. Wasn't a "wish list feature" one of most-often mentioned reasons for changing the website?

10:09, why are you here? If you don't like smack, don't come to this blog.

    ReplyDelete
  141. I agree 10:05.

Don't fix the cart dumping problem, instead just create something new that will be "better" (than using the cart) to mask the problem.

  143. @8:47 - I just don't think the stamp set at $15 should be included in there. Why would people think it's a better deal buying the stamp set for $12 than placing a $100 order and getting it for free?
    ----------------------------
Whether people see paying $12 for the $15 set to get it EARLY as a better deal than waiting and spending $100 to get it FREE isn't really relevant to the cost breakdown. If it's worth $12 to some people to have the stamp set in their hands for SAF, then more power to 'em! But the fact that it will be available through a different promo on a later date doesn't change it's value when it's ordered in advance.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Using info about a wish list to counter comments about cart dumping is illogical.

My understanding is that the problem isn't just cart dumping over long term (in which case it makes sense to bring up a wish list) .... haven't people complained about cart dumping in the process of trying to put together an order in one sitting?

    ReplyDelete
  145. I know it cant fix anything or change anyones mind but I ordered from PTI April 28 and my package is out for delivery.

  149. I agree about the new su colors. Love the new dsp but the in colors are fugly!! Im pretty sure I have a close enough matches in my ink stash. Not interested in a single one. They seem so dated especially with so many bright fun colors out now

    ReplyDelete
  150. Just an FYI on that SU! new "Memorable Moments" set - the font is P22 Corinthia (about $24.95 from myfonts.com). And in case you don't already know, the Communique Curves/Sentiments from PTI is done in PassionsConflictROB (same place, same price). Both fonts are by Rob Leuschke. He has some of the best fonts on the planet. {bunny trail}

    ReplyDelete
  151. Sorry for the double post, still looking at those SU! stamps. Holy hell. $34 for a set of FOUR stamps?! WTF!?! What am I missing?

    ReplyDelete
  152. Aaaaaand, cart dumping thread on the forum is locked.

    ReplyDelete
  153. I placed an order with PTI late on Thursday the 27th of April, and it was delivered on Monday morning the 30th! I was shocked!

    ReplyDelete
  154. Someone asked about international shipping this morning and Ted had to pipe in with his helpful zendesk reminder.

I am guessing that the OP already knows about zendesk and she is a long time poster.

I think that there are probably a few people that would be interested in the answer so I appreciate that she asked on the forum.

Ted just bothers me. Between that and his up and down apologizing to Nichole for offending her with his question about the tote bags.

How did you think that a question like that would go Ted?

    ReplyDelete
  155. 10:28. No not in my hands my boss frowns on me stamping at work

    ReplyDelete
  156. For personal use, I'd rather use one of the gazillion free fonts out there but you're right, he does nice work!

Of course the cart dump thread is locked -- it's CS. Only positive CS threads allowed.

    ReplyDelete
  157. Those highest priced SU sets are the wood-mount. The cling is too high too though.

    ReplyDelete
  158. 12:30....and that's a bummer, ain't it. I'd love to be able to stamp at work. (not smacking, just wishing.)

Thanks for the SU link. I"m glad they are changing their ink pads. I hated that blasted canvas texture. And now I can dump all these old ink pads and just order the few that i like.

that pacific point color is AH-MAZING.

    ReplyDelete
  159. 12:13, I'm with you. Their prices are creeping up higher and higher.

And yes, even though the $34 is for wood mount, $25 is too damn high for 4 stamps?? that is cray cray.

And I noticed the date on the sneak peek link says 2012 - 2014. Are they now running their catalogs for 2 years instead of every year??

    ReplyDelete
  160. So are we only allowed to ask shipping questions on the zendesk forum or is Ted just being a douchey douchbag?

NOBODY asked you Ted. Last time I checked you are neither Nichole or the dt.

    ReplyDelete
  161. This is totally off topic. I got an email today from a company selling "personalized address labels" (good thing, because I wouldn't want generic address labels). I wish, just once, someone would use Herman & Lily Munster, 1313 Mockingbird Ln. as their example. I would laugh my butt off.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Ted is so annoying. I don't even think I can be objective about him anymore. Everything he says and does is obnoxious.

    ReplyDelete
  163. 12:44, the SU catalog is still for one year. It's each new group of In Colors that sticks around for two years now, which is why you saw 2012–2014.

    ReplyDelete
  164. So why are there only a few dt members trolling the boards? Where are Maile, Betsy and Jessica? I understand that Lisa, Mish and Debbie are on team lite so they don't have to post.

    ReplyDelete
  165. My take on Ted's "helpful" comments: It was mentioned not too long ago that PTI would like to get to a point where they have some moderators on the forum. (Like SCS). I would guess that Ted has been hoping for a piece of that fame.

Side note - If he becomes a moderator I can only imagine the shit that shall be stirred. He will be caught in the middle between wanting EVERYONE to like him. That, my smack-loving friends, will be good entertainment for us.

    ReplyDelete
  166. 13:55 I like to think the others have class enough NOT to babysit the boards.

    ReplyDelete
  167. There has to be some kind of financial incentive for the dt to be spending time on the boards. They are not doing it out of the goodness of their heart.

    ReplyDelete
  168. I can't imagine anyone letting Ted become any kind of a moderator. That would be crazy.

I wish that I didn't dislike Ted so much but he is just like nails on a chalkboard. I agree that he had to know that his tote thread would go south fast. He's just a shit disturber that likes to clarify everything so that he looks innocent.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  172. don't be doofuses. the DT is paid by the hour to protect the forum. The forum is incredibly important to sales and PTI needed to rescue it from the smackers. So far the dt has managed to keep things calm, along with the judicious banning, and locking of threads.

I would do the exact same thing if my business was being held hostage by unsatisfied customers. (well, maybe I would satisfy them but that would take more money and time)

    ReplyDelete
  173. But in standard PTI fashion, it would be easier to close the forum altogether. I'm sure that they thought of doing that too.

  175. 1. How sexist would that be to put the only rooster (Ted) in charge of the hens?

    2. WHO is allowed to post on a smack board at work? I would be fired in a second because it is stealing from your employer to be paid to do her work and then play around.

    3. The SU colors are ugly.

    4. SU stamps got so overpriced about 5-6 years ago that I totally quit buying them. Even their unmounted ones are outrageous.

    5. I don't think Rick posted about the shipping. I have had things in 72 hours during off times before. Just means they don't have many orders.

    6. Why don't they make the pieces in the tote for sale individually so people are forced to buy filler junk?

    ReplyDelete
  176. Come on - that's not Rick. You all know that unis come trolling around here trying to dispel bad press.

And you could knock me over with a feather if they paid the DT to man the forum - let alone by the hour. I don't buy that in a million years.

    ReplyDelete
  177. Ted asked a customer service question the night of the last release. Begging forgiveness because he knew it belonged on the Zendesk - but timing and full disclosure were so important so that he could make an informed decision about his purchase.

He follows the rules when it works for him but wants everyone else to follwo them all the time.
