PTI stands for Papertrey Ink. This is a collective smack blog and Papertrey Ink review page. Papertrey Ink's continuously poor customer service has lead to a page dedicated to discussion of this stamp company and recommendations for alternative stamp companies. Minimal censorship here- I prefer to leave it up to posters' discretion.
The opinions posted on this blog belong to our visitors and we are not paid for our honest reviews ;)
This is not at all well said. It is inflammatory, short sighted and reflective of a complate lack of comprehension of the small business model. I am on my cell on a train at the moment but tonight at my hotel I will take you through a very conservative financial analysis to show you how under the best of circumstances it is not possible for this company to be rolling in cash. I do not get angry often but to make a blatant statement that this company does not care about its customers because it will take yourMoney but not spend is contempt able and has indeed angered me. I am sorry to see you chose to leave but do not feel content in your reasoning as you could not be more dead wrong; both analytically ( if you did any financial analysIs what so ever) and on a human level. This Isnt a computer you are accusing of such hatefulness but real flesh and blood people. I truly hope you are not judged so harshly when your attempts are less than successful .
Someone asked earlier about the thread manipulation on scs with mfp's problems.
one of the dt members started bumping and subbing on every thread in sight, including ancient 'dead' threads (i.e., Christmas sales), just to move the MFP thread down the line. Idiot.
Then when Ms. MFP herself let loose with her freaky tirade, she did the same thing. The next day, her posts were all gone and Lydia, God bless her, posted: "If there are communications which violate our Site Posting Rules - located here Splitcoaststampers Site Posting Rules - please report them to me via PM."
I guess that FH was sending inappropriate messages, emails, etc., to people. I was told that anyone who was not supportive of her on that thread received some ridiculous letter threatening legal action.
Do any of you remember that stamp company where the owner (I think her name was Kristi) just left everyone hanging? The stamps were popular, kind of a "bella"-ish character but not a stick figure? Remember how bad that whole deal was? Yet, people went crazy trying to buy up the last of the stock...even KNOWING it was going under. It was like online looting!! I totally imagine the same scenario would happen if PTI sank.
Jeez. Someone just posted that their order to Hong Kong is lost & Jenn pops on and asks, "Have you emailed CS? If so, we're be getting to it ASAP. HTH"
And by "ASAP" we all know that's code for "you could walk here from Hong Kong and come get it faster than you will get a CS reply.
I went back on the forum and looked through the old "anyone still waiting on an anniv set" from October of 2011. There are SOOOOO many people on that thread that never got their set. Many who are obviously new to the forum - only posted a few times - and are not around now (understandably).
Anyone brave enough to bump that thread up?? It might be eye-opening for the defenders to see how many, just on the forum alone, got screwed in this. I can't do it for reasons I won't explain but...
Holy cr@p! This place is on fire! I cannot believe a company would be so stubborn as to not speak up in light of what is happening on their own forum. Insane.
Ted is embarrassed. He posted how he wasn't going to buy any stamps from PTI anymore - only the color collection. Now a stamp set that he MIGHT want is on the horizon and he has to snatch up dies for the stamp set he swore he wouldn't buy because - and I quote - "there are other stamp companies." So now he's fed the monster buying $75 worth of dies - and got 3 free points off of all the people in the share.
He knows he talks from both ends and he's embarrassed. So he's trying to bury his ranting posts with rainbows, unicorns and paper piecing.
I wish I was bitchy enough to call him on it. But I'm not.
I started a blog for us to share our cards using NH's cards as inspiration.

I have posted the first challenge. How should we get our layouts posted to meet the challenge? Shall I get an inlinkz link tool so you can link there? or will that give you away? Should I make a Photobucket account for everyone to upload their cards to and link to?
Maybe I am slow to catch on. I think Ted is working hard to bury any non-stamping threads. His posts just seem so silly!??
Lets discuss paper piecing. Do you like to cut inside the line or outside the line? Do you ever get a paper cut? How about giant scissors on your wall? Could you use those for paper piecing?
Does he come off like a total, complete asshole? Or is it just me??
I don't like to smack individuals but I do have to agree about Ted. There is no doubt in my mind that he is the biggest passive-aggressive, control hungry, attention whore. So f-ing sick of him.
Very good...I have a Photobucket account open, and am working on adding a private group to Photobucket that only people with a password can upload to it.
I'm going to bed now, but will work on this more tomorrow!
Yeah, he's manipulating the threads to bump the PtI unfriendly threads off the first page. On other boards he would have been called out, shamed and told to cut it out. They might even delete his threads on some boards I've been on. It's board manipulation akin to spamming. And it also sends the message to all those people with their legitimate complaints: Fuck you!!
Just think, Ted will have to start over again tomorrow when all the complaint threads have moved back to the first page. Possible topics Ted can come up with:
"Have any of you found a good way to remove stray crotch-glitter?"
"If you do a snotty-sneeze on your completed card, do you send it anyway and consider it "misted"?"
Just want to promo some good customer service for a minute.
I got a stamp from Wild Rose Stamps that was defective. It had the name "Milton & Co" on the top, but I think they use Wild Rose to sell or something. Anyway, the polymer was really shitty. Like, it was broken in the package and it would flake at even the slightest pressure from your fingers. Bad stuff.
Anyway, I bought it from iCopic and I sent them a ticket a week after my package arrived (I was busy) and explained what my issue was. They apologized immediately, and they apologized again because the stamp had actually been discontinued, would I like to replace it with another Wild Rose stamp? I picked my stamp and they said they would get the package out no later than the next day. True to their word it arrived two days later (we're about 2 hours from each other) and there are no defects.
Point is, I took a photograph as proof, even offered it, but was never asked. I got a quick response (less than a business day). I didn't have to send the stamp back. And I got a replacement as immediately as they could provide. THAT is customer service.

Love the idea of a knock-off-blog ("Knock-your-blog-off"?) It could truly be our happy place ... like this one only we actually, you know, make stuff.

I'm lost. Someone posted the "train rant" and now it's gone?
Duh... there it is :/

Ha - but no one would get anything and there'd be no CS to call (not like there is now, bwahahaa)

Poor girl.

Anyone feeling brave??
I'd participate in a knock off PTI blog. Of course a lot of my stuff is PTI, but this would force me to use other stuff.
(Could I still use PTI ink though? Please??)
I thought we were going to open a new space after 100 posts. All this scrolling is annoying.
Titanic 3D comes out soon (sinking ships).
She just needs to schedule 2 posts daily... a new post every 12 hrs or whatever. But this is Blogger, so... who knows how well that will work.
test
Yes, new space pretty please! I'm waaaay too lazy to keep scrolling to the second page.
Holy cr@p! This place is on fire! I cannot believe a company would be so stubborn as to not speak up in light of what is happening on their own forum. Insane.
Will have to come up with a clever name... thinking, thinking... be back!
Can't figure out how to get to the second page where the over 200 posts are. Used to be a link.
Hmm.. you may not see this but I had a hard time too.
I click on the blog title first and then on the post title, not on comments. Then on "newest." HTH!
more space pleeeeease
over on scs, binkiemonstermom needs to stick a binkie in it and remove her finger from the friggin' exclamation point key.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Augh! What the hell is wrong with Ted!! Now he is posting about wall art for his craft room. He is driving me crazy.
oh I love the alt blog idea. Id really like something like that listing good places for stamps, dies and paper.
Ted is embarrassed. He posted how he wasn't going to buy any stamps from PTI anymore - only the color collection. Now a stamp set that he MIGHT want is on the horizon and he has to snatch up dies for the stamp set he swore he wouldn't buy because - and I quote - "there are other stamp companies."

Oh I like the photobucket idea. Thanks for doing this, it is a lot of effort.

Quick, who am I?
Add me to the list of smackers.
Former big time PTI spender who won't purchase from them because I want to support those with issues.
Also, I am afraid of getting shafted :0
Trell!
Count me amongst your numbers.
Guess you can name me: PTI atheist
I don't believe in them anymore as well as Ted's avatar being a bit too much. Why is it necessisary for me to KNOW his beliefs?
