Weekend freshness!!!

Sorry smackers, I was out having a bit of fun and didn't notice we've crossed our 100 post fresh page agreement!! Forgive me? :)

Also I wanted to let you guys know that, one of us, a blogger named Stephinka, who bravely shared her personal thoughts on PTI with us here in a link subsequently had it posted directly to the PTI forum without her ageeement or knowledge.. I have just read on her blog that she has been admitted to the hospital. Shall we all share some love (not smack) for her on her blog for our trooper who took one for the team?

P.s. a certain J of the customer communications director whatever bullshit of a new position even asked Stephinka to remove her name from her blog post, which Stephinka actually had did so for her, but we all know who she is anyway just wanting to save her name from being trashed.

Sooooo.... any smackers got their new release already or did you think it was a big flop of one with this crap excuse of a site? And are you going to finally stop shopping with them after the great points made on that review post by Stephinka? I know I am over it, just need to use up my stupid points damn it. And really, ribbonshare girl? STOP.

  2. Way to take one for the team Steph! Get well soon. Just like you, PTI Smacker III, I have a $17.00 credit with PTI. I want to place an order to use it up but I can't stand to spend anymore money with them based on all of their f*cked up issues. The last time I ordered with them was Aug 2011.

    So what should I do? Use up the credits or stick to my code of ethics?

  3. 15:21 Definitely use up all the credits and nothing more! Hee hee, they already got your money for those credits (clearly they set their earnings up for this so you paid for this) now it's just up to you to collect what should be yours. Perhaps use it all on cardstock so the shipping you pay for such heavy items is well justified, and dont give them a cent more for anything else.

  8. I think that Donna C is in the wrong. IMO she treated the forum like a smack blog by posting "juicy gossip" on it. There is a difference between the 2 communities and I would hope for future reference that we all know the difference and are more cognizant about posting the right content in the right place.

  12. I've used my points and I'm gone from there.....I paid a couple of bucks difference so i got a big order for nothing.
    If I didn't have my anniversary set I would be posting a new message every day so it was kept up the top and everyone could see it. I would NOT go away. That's what they are hoping, people will just give up.

  15. This isn't the first time they've had problems with sets. I think no one proofs or checks (in the case of translations) anything. Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy work.

  17. What's up with WMS's website? I'm using Safari and I show that the latest release is Christmas stamps. Then I went to the "Shop By Release" and the most recent month is listed as August 2011.

    I do think WMS is a great replacement for PTI - I guess I am a confused newbie.

  20. Try Lawn Fawn. They've got a new release coming up at the end of the week. Great designs that are good for coloring or paper piecing. Plus, the owner Kelly Marie is a gem who responds to emails herself instead of giving customers the runaround. Check them out.

  22. 10:54, I just went to WMS' site via Safari and the home page is announcing the new stamps to be released on the 29th.

    I also tried the ship by release and don't see Claire's last release of November 2011 listed.

  24. I have been quietly watching this entire debacle unfold over the last months. I've never had any issues with PTI CS. But I am VERY hesitant to spend any of my hard earned money with them anymore. I don't understand why people complain about them but then still give their money to them. Of course they are laughing all the way to the bank. Of course they aren't going to change their ways. Why should they? This month's release was probably one of the biggest sellers they've had. And wtf is going on with that joke of a new website?! I've seen smaller companies with much nicer websites. That actually WORK! Clearly this company is being run by a bunch of elementary minded people. I really want them to get their act together. But sadly, I've been wishing for that to happen for YEARS now.

  26. I am so glad I discovered this blog.
    1) My first run in with PTI CS was two years ago - the pack of brown cs that I had gotten was a bit short - I mean instead of being 11 inches, it was 1/8 inches short. The whole pack. I wrote to CS - J comes back and tells me that I need to ship her the whole pack back (for which I need to spend money) and after they inspect it to make sure I am telling the truth, they might send me another pack or refund my money. But if I am wrong - then I can go %*^*^& myself. I was like WTF? I told her that I am not spending money shipping it to her and that was the last I bought any PTI Cardstock. I have been buying GKD Cardstock.

    I had bought a few GKD Stamp sets and one of them had the right index sheet but wrong stamp set inside, I sent an email to them. They told me that I could keep the wrong stamp set they had sent to me as an apology from their side and they shipped me the correct stamp set and guess what the index sheet for the wrong stamp set that they had sent to me. I mean that is customer service.

    2) My second run in with CS was when I got Matstack 4 stamp set and two of the stamp sets were torn. Even before I did anything with them, straight out of the pocket. I took a photo and emailed it to CS. Again they want me to mail the torn stamp back to them and they will replace it. I am like I understand the replacing part, but not sure why I have to ship the torn stamp image.

    I had the same thing happen to me once with Hero Arts stamp set. One of the clear stamp was torn. I sent an email. Next day response was that they are going to replace it and I was shocked to see that they replaced the entire set, not that one torn image. I was like WOW.

    It might be the case that GKD and Hero Arts are much bigger companies than PTI, but as some one said, PTI Cannot be small company for five years with so much of releases and cannot have growing pains for 5 years.



    I also have 14 reward points. Just waiting to get some cash, will place an order and be done with them. As it is I have not placed an order with PTI since long long time.

    I get so irritated with some of the forum members as well. I mean I am spending some of my hard earned money at PTI and for sure want to get answers.

  30. This is off topic, but I can't help myself and I think you all might find this interesting. While doing a Google search for the right way to order my Starbucks drink next time, I came across what looks to be a Starbucks smack forum. Basically, the baristas are smacking us customers.

    Boy do I feel like a stupid customer now...I really don't know the right way to order my drink and apparently I am expected to know all the terms and order it correctly (and perfectly) every time...

  31. Yeah, let's face it. PTI is no longer a new company or even a small company by stamping company standards.

    GKD is smaller than PTI by far. Their brick and mortar store closed a couple years back and now it's only online with 1 or 2 people doing all the work. Gina blogged that they make their rubber stamps in their shop now. They manage to get it right, so PTI take note! Please!

  35. Nothing is ever their mistake. If it is their mistake it is up to the customer to prove it. If the customer proves it, then they are rude to point it out on the forum. If the customer proves it the customer has to be inconvenienced and/or pay for the correction. Then the customer has to wait, remind, complain, and look like a bitch until people think they are a bitch in order to get the problems corrected. They always turn it around to make the customers look like bad, whiny, greedy people. WHY does not Nichole cut her losses and run? She is being dragged through the mud and may never recover professionally.

    So sorry we made a mistake. We are going to add a step to our proofing process so this never happens again. You don't have to do a thing. We will use our database to find every person who ordered this set and will automatically send out a replacement within 2 weeks. Also, to offset the inconvenience, you will receive a reward point automatically credited. You don't have to do a thing but watch for your stamp in the mail. We appreciate your patience.

    Will this happen? Don't hold your breath unless you are suicidal.

  38. 11:34 mentions Nichole cutting her losses and leaving the company. I do wonder. Is she a victim in this or not? As an owner, I'd think she'd have some say, but I do know as well that the other 2 are family, so Nichole's input could be outvoted.

    I also realized that the issues are quite likely hurting the other stamp designers. I have no way of knowing how PTI compensates them, but, I would think their income will be affected too. I don't think they would have much to say about company operations. Sad.

And if it's not your job, then whose job is it? And why aren't THEY responding to our questions? Whoever said it before, you're absolutely right - it should be ALL HANDS ON DECK to get this shiz figured out. But instead they all sit back and watch the ship sink. I'm not surprised on single bit by this mess - I saw this crap coming a mile away!! Nothing is going to change, people - not one damn thing! So they gave us flat labels - BIG EFF'ING DEAL!! We still don't have shipping options, now we don't even have the ability to track our packages, the new site is an absolute mess . . . the list goes on and on. They've double and triple entered items, so you have to plod through 40 pages to find a die. WTF?!! I've spent my rewards points, still waiting for my package (ordered 2/16), but will wait until hell freezes over. I don't give a damn anymore.     I heard somewhere once that the opposite of love isn't hate, it's apathy.

    Perhaps the people that are so fed up and 'done' with it aren't even taking the time to comment/care any more. Bad or not. Only the ones who still love them are posting and they are still under the impression that PTI does no wrong.

    They are probably the same people who will never see the message on the forum about the stamp set being wrong and sending in the SASE for their replacement...

  85. Also, MFT is carrying cardstock again. I love it. It's nice heavy weight. And she just started carrying matching ribbon for the cardstock. Only one type so far, grosgrain. But it's an alternative for those who want matching CS & ribbon. And if I remember correctly, many of the CS colors have a pretty close match to a VersaMagic color for ink. Plus, in my experience, the shipping speed rocks.

  91. I don't get the ribbon share. You get ONE yard (3 feet) of ribbon? Why? A 5 yard spool is only $3. It's not like it breaks the bank. And 5 yards will do lots of cards, bows and even scrapbook pages. 3 feet? Um, one page and maybe a couple of cards? I don't get it. Maybe I use too much ribbon.

    I never understood the whole declaration of leaving. Do they think people will be clamoring for them to stay? Or do they see it necessary to flip their hair and say hmph while walking from the playground? Whatev. I don't do drama. If I don't like something I leave. If the company's CS sucks I don't buy from them. Simple and drama free.

Even though I'm DONE with PTI, I still get so pissed off reading about their ineptitude, probably because of the thousands of dollars I spent with them over the years, kind of makes me feel like a fool/sucker. Some people say "oh I HOPE they can get their act together", but I think I've passed that point. I hope the ship sinks on the scale of the TITANIC, never to be salvaged again! Does that make me a mean bitch?

  107. You can get A Muse Studio ink from a rep or through their website. Technically A Muse and Fresh Inks are made at the same factory but the color offerings are different.

    A Muse has a bunch of grays that are not offered by Fresh.

  111. How come customers can't track their packages? I thought PTI insisted on DC for every package, plus some of them are going ups which has also has tracking. No end of customers are complaining that they don't know anything about their packages until they actually arrive?

  112. omg I've been away from the PTI forum for ages and haven't bought anything from them in forever. Can't believe how many complaint threads there are. And can't believe they still sound totally inept in every respect. It's no longer just a few either, there is an avalanche coming down on them.

    Honestly people, it's not worth it. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

    You can get nice cardstock lots of places. Their stuff is too thick for many practical purposes anyway. I'm glad I'm not in to needing everything matching. I get stuff from all different vendors.

    Stamps! I never could get over the fuss people make about their stamps in the first place and I don't own a single set. And I'm telling you, even with all the different sellers that I regularly deal with, I've never had a single issue in years AND I get my stuff timely. Get over the obsession with PTI, like a lot of fads, it's just not that good for you.
