Glad I can count on the both of you to come here ;) I just turned on Anonymous posting.. let the smack begin, bahahaha!

thoughts on dies selling out again so soon after release? some people complain way too much. if they wanted those dies so much they can just order it when it was listed. pti did change the time so people didn't have to wait till 12am, didn't they?

Anonymous said...

From a financial standpoint, you gotta wonder how long they can continue to add massive numbers of items every month and never retire anything. Just another indication of bad business decisions.

Anonymous said...

Perhaps they could have a sale (I know, shock, horror) on some stamp sets say 20% off or something. Lots of other stamp companies do it. That could possibly move out some stock on stamps, dies etc. Just a thought.

Anonymous said...

03:31 i agree, it just seems like they are not very good business-minded people. Nichole's good at her design work which i think has brought the company where it is now, but inventory for the old stamp sets take up physical room which is also = $ since that room can be managed better!

03:34 the day PTI has a sale is the day i will... will uh... uh... i can't even think of anything clever to say, just don't see it happening. maybe they are hoarders, hoarding their old designs and all that jazz haha!

Anonymous said...

Has anyone ever seen pictures of this so-called warehouse (with the way they run things, sometimes I think it's a set of friends' and neighbors' garages) or anything having to do with their packing and shipping processes?

Good points regarding what a company's options become when they don't retire things and continue to add a crazy amount of stuff every month.

Anonymous said...

Well you can google map the address - 5514 Fair Lane 45227

It's nice to not have to sift through 400 plus posts. Thanks smackerIII

Anonymous said...

Thanks ptismacker3! SO GLAD not to have to sift through all those comments!

Anonymous said...

wouldn't it be awesome if wplus9 bought out PTI? they actually post on their website "usually ships within 48 hours". what a concept!

Anonymous said...

Lol at 05:59 I can totally see that garage thing going in too with all their construction materials blocking a pallet of boxes.... D'oh!!

09:43 I'm so placing an order with wplus9! That's the sort of info that customers should be given, not like get some dies wiki be back in three weeks bs,

Anonymous said...

what is up with that russian poster on the forum? is that spam? it's not even the same message on every thread...

Anonymous said...

Wow - look at this kind of awesome communication by wplus9:

New Stamps Coming in December
Posted on 31st Oct 2011 @ 9:44 PM

Every now and then we have to do a little planning and reorganizing.  In order to keep things running smoothly here in the Studio and to create the best possible shopping experience for you, we will not be releasing any new stamps this November 2011. Instead, we have been focusing on cleaning up the website and making progress on new product research and planning. Exciting things ahead!

But not to worry, we already have our December release here in the Studio and it will be one sweet Valentine's Day!  The Design Team and I are sure that you will love the December 2011 release, including 3 new stamp sets and 3 new steel rule dies.

Thanks!
Dawn

I think I may just have to switch!

Anonymous said...

I have had nothing but excellent customer service from Wplus9. Every order has shipped extremely quickly and the communication has been great.

Anonymous said...

Has anyone been a winner of prizes at Wplus9? Just curious as to how long it takes to receive your prize... :P

Anonymous said...

Further on planning and organization - the stamp companies that have sales don't seem to retire their sets so I cannot understand why PTI couldn't do this as well. If requests come in for something that is sold old, they can still do their "it will be back in stock in 3 weeks" mantra.
Or, perhaps when they order for a release, they get a discount from the suppliers if they order millions of each stamp set.
Just some rambling thoughts.
Does any other company (apart from PTI) release 11 or 12 stamp sets each month, with 11 or 12 dies???????

Anonymous said...

I only just discovered wplus9 so no, no prizes yet. I did just give them some of my crafting money today, and will see how that works out.

Unfortunately I also gave PTI craft money and today I got the shipping notification we all know is fake since it hasn't even eft the warehouse, let's see which gets to me first (I don't live in the US)!

Anonymous said...

MFT seems to release a lot each month. But I think a lot of the stamps are single images. And some dies, not a dozen.

Anonymous said...

Seconded, 07.30,l and no one near as money grubbing as PTI eh.

I know this is a PTI smack blog but can I just rant about the cath person on moxiefabworld? Wtf is moxie fab anyway, I hate it when she goes "check it:" and puts a picture. Gah and usually they aren't even 'fab'

Anonymous said...

I think PTI's "warehouse" is a corner in the Heskamp Print Shop since that is Julie & Jane's first business. And I think they have people who work for the print shop pulling and packing orders. Probably the office secretary or some such b.s. And I think that's why they wouldn't let krillsister (I think that's her name on the PTI Forum) come work during releases. She posted that she offered to come help during release and was told that they were afraid she wouldn't fit in. I can't believe they said that.

Anonymous said...

12.15 did they really tell her that?! Wtf....

Anonymous said...

She paraphrased them:
http://forum.papertreyink.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=25949&p=333831&hilit=+warehouse#p333831

Can you believe that crap?!

Anonymous said...

14.46 omg I just went to read that.. Unbelievable! Have their own system and work well together so krillsister won't fit in... ummmmm yeah okay :/ they must really want to keep it within the family. Or be plain Scrooges. I don't even know. Any other stamp companies we should check out instead?

I am already looking at market street stamps, ordered from
MFT... Would like some lawn fawn.

I am constantly baffled and amazed at women that think it's OK to make jokes about their husbands in public like this. My husband would be absolutely MORTIFIED to know that I referred to his "hot peanuts" on my blog for all the world to read! Has she no respect for her husband at all? It might be an OK joke in your circle of friends, but not for the internet! Get some class, "Mish!"

http://michellewooderson.blogspot.com/2011/12/homemade-gifts-are-best.html

Anonymous said...

OMG - hot peanuts?! So disgusting. And those cards are too. I've always hated her 'just threw this together, it was so quick and easy' attitude, while in reality the cards LOOK like they've been thrown together quickly. Not in a good way.

Anonymous said...

eww did she spill mustard on those cards or something? disgusting.

Anonymous said...

Are people stupid or what? Things in her shop are so overpriced and you can easily search up other sellers who sell them for cheaper :|

Anonymous said...

I just do NOT like that mist/splatter look that seems to be all the rage these days. I guess I'm missing out on something wonderful, but I don't get it.

Anonymous said...

I don't get the ink drop craze either.
But the smacking of the hot peanuts thing is a bit of a stretch. If you read it carefully she isn't actually talking about her hubs' bits.

Anonymous said...

How can you NOT think that's what she's talking about??? What ELSE could she be referencing?

Anonymous said...

I get the 'joke' but the smacker above made it sound like she was actually discussing his real and personal uh, peanuts.

Anonymous said...

Oh snap! On the latest shipping thread in the forum:
"How about instead of wasting your time coming in and slapping hands on threads like this, you just go post on a happy thread? Or maybe go donate an organ?"

Anonymous said...

@21:12 - OMG - I am SO loving that thread in the forum!

Go Tenakee!

What is up with all the spams? Notice that they are starting to get out of control. I went to the sticky that Jennifer posted (link below) and found that it had been spammed again - this is twice in 2 days. But now it's under the guise of a asthma story? WTF? I have to wonder if this is a PTI attacker, since they took the time to create an ID and such.

3 cheers for pti smacker #3. ;)

"For the dozen-th time, I reiterate that no shipping notice is not reason for concern, either." - Jenn

Well damn. I guess someone's patience is running thin. Is that in their shipping policy, so she doesn't have to reiterate it a dozen more times?

Anonymous said...

PTI 3, thanks.

@ 12/18 14:46, about the girl who offered to help PTI and they rejected her...that is unbelievable! What a bunch of arrogant bitches, to think their (shitty) system is sooooo freaking complex that an outsider couldn't handle it. Fuck off, PTI.

@ 12/18 7:21 about moxie fab...yeah, I think she's full of herself too. trying to coin a phrase that is super cheesy. i also cannot stand the constant pinterest vomit. and the made up words. Fuckoffamoxilations, Cath!

@ 12/18 15:59 I think you are being a bit harsh. I don't like mish's crappy crafting either, but i don't think she said anything super sensitive or personal. she said they joke about the peanuts he orders and I'm sure the jokes are personal innuendo, but nothing that would make my DH blush.

@ 12/18 20:55, I don't get it either. looks like a flock of coconut laden swallows flew by.

@ 12/19 07:57....da-yum Jenn. could you be more of a grumpy ass bitch??? I get that you have to answer the same questions over and over. welcome to the world of customer service. Yes, you have to reiterate shit from time to time. Either suck is up and handle your JOB with a little more grace or fucking quit already. you aren't helping the broken machine with your ice queen bull dog responses. they are making themselves look bad enough without your help. go find a job you can actually be happy about.

Anonymous said...

On another note, does anyone order from Stamping Bella? I'm so sick of their slow shipping times and slow or no response to emails I could scream. How they're managing to sell their stamps in Archiver's is a mystery to me when they can't even keep up with simple customer orders?

Girl in Green said...

If I knew there were three (four?) smack blogs started about my company, I might ask myself some hard questions about why.

I have placed one order with PTI. It came slowly, and I couldn't believe I was charged nearly $7 for four dies that could have fit in a small padded envelope.

Girl in Green said...

"For the dozen-th time, I reiterate that no shipping notice is not reason for concern, either." - Jenn

^ They really need to start thinking about their audience. Even if they don't mind alienating your current audience, can't they see how a new customer might be turned off?

Anonymous said...

Being a outside-us customer actually that stupid shipping notification is important cause I paid for the stupid tracking and insured post. The arrogance still keeps coming out despite their continuous problems from regular customers, you'd think they might start wising up.bBut no, the CS side is a poor CS provider and the head honchos have their bums too fair up their bum.

Anonymous said...

16.35 is me. I meant heads too far up their bum. But it's okay of they have a double anal reverse prolapse too

Anonymous said...

Dear designers, I hate the inlinkz supply lists plopped right in the middle of your posts.

Anonymous said...

"If I knew there were three (four?) smack blogs started about my company, I might ask myself some hard questions about why."

Excellent observation!

Anonymous said...

I guess Jenn's rude comment to the cUstomer was okay because she was acting as blog mod and not customer service. It's also okay to be rude to customers cause cknutti said so.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, what 10:42 said!!!

Oooohhhh, where did cknutti say it's ok to be rude to customers? I missed that one. Was it when she crowned herself queen of the forums?

Anonymous said...

11:04- I noticed that, too!
I was wondering why it would make a difference. She is still the CS person whether on the forum or in email. You would think she'd be more polite on the forum where everyone can see it!

Anonymous said...

And people still not receiving their anniversary sets - this has been badly managed by PTI and their silence on the delay is really unbelievable.

Makes one wonder how the new 'points' system will work. Will everyone have to prove over and over again that they have earned their points?

Anonymous said...

No, the points are listed when you log in so you can see how many points you have earned.

Kathy said...

Hello smackers,
I got lost trying to find the "REAL" pti smack site...how many are there now??

P.s. I must say Mish's new picture looks good...cards still cluttered though.

Unknown said...

This is the real smack site. The first host got cold feet/emotions or some other bs.

PTI Smack III said...

Kathy, as Trell says, yes this IS now the real smack site. I do not intend to take any of this down as I completely believe that we should have a maintained space for smack on this company. And the other blogs made are just not being updated with new posts for 'space'

I will be trying to get this blog up the google searches so people can find this and read what people really think about PTI. And in the meantime, do spread the word!

Anonymous said...

Thanks PTI Smack III

Anonymous said...

I for one will be here and spreading the word!

Anonymous said...

The PTI Anniversary shin dig will be coming up soon - are they going to add any new DT members, ya think?

They already added ACN to the team but I'm wondering if any other new faces might pop up on the team in February.

I, for one, would love to see some new people added. Pine (bless her heart) should step down. I have never, not once, been inspired to buy anything based on her designs.

Anonymous said...

Did people actually come to Jenn's defence when she said that she was posting as a forum admin and not as customer service? I am stunned that she would think that it's okay to post what she did in the first place but then to let that lame and absurd rationalization come out of her mouth? Bizarre.

Anonymous said...

sigh.

Anonymous said...

I would love to see some new design team members ... clean and simple more modern designs would be great! A bit more of a balance that way.

Anonymous said...

more balance? you have maile, jessica, lisa (sometimes), acn, erin... they all do clean and simple stuff. betsy, melissa and mish are the only ones who consistently use layers.

Unknown said...

I'm new to all of this published/big name in the biz stuff, so who out there would be Papertrey caliber?

Anonymous said...

Kristina Werner
Anna Wight
Lea Lawson
Julie Ebersole
Mona Pendleton
Nichol Magouirk

Anonymous said...

spoiler alert on the forum

Anonymous said...

Yeah, I really want to see what the set looks like!

Anonymous said...

Me, too! I hope someone posts a picture soon. My package isn't scheduled to arrive until 12/27... 12 days after I ordered it. I know it's "within the shipping policy", but it seems like such a long time!!

Anonymous said...

I wonder if the 'thank you' stamp set (spoiler alert) is going to back-fire in PTI's face. How long before customers start bitching about not getting what was due them and they ordered "2 minutes after release".

Anonymous said...

I'd love to see Julie ebersole on the DT but yuck at Pti until they turn their shit around. Which seeing as Jennifer thinks its ok to say she is wearing a different hat on the forum so it's okay to be snark... Isnt happening. What kind of fail customer service person is she? She is reeeaaaallly bad. If I were her employer she would be fired in less than half a day.

ACN is not that cas? Her stuff with craft meow or whatever seems to have a lot of layers and ribbons and crap. She seems to make it more like that to fit the Pti thing and I agree about heather, her work is boing as hell

Natalya said...

The issue about their shipping thing is that they claim to process orders on a first come first served basis so when people discover that others ordering later already got heir packages shipped it leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

Anonymous said...

Where's Lice Girl? I love that bitch!

Anonymous said...

post a pic of the set ... i wanna see it.

Anonymous said...

as someone who's ordered from PTI 3 times in the past 3 years...is a complimentary gift set "normal" at this time of year? i've never received any free goodies, but all of my orders have been in excess of $300. i've also never ordered around this time of year.

Anonymous said...

UM...so PTI is giving away complimentary stamp sets but yet I STILL don't have my 2011 anniversary stamp set. W T F???

Anonymous said...

And the claws are really coming out:
http://forum.papertreyink.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=26566

"How is asking that her email be forwarded to Julie going to help anything. Julie has proven over and over and over and over again to be the problem. She takes FOREVER to respond and then when she actually does respond, it's usually with the customer is a liar attitude.

Ami"

AerynK said...

I got my Thank YOu stamp set. It's not bad, and it was certainly a surprise in my package of index labels.

Anonymous said...

any pix of the set??

Anonymous said...

Aeryn, can you post a pic?

Anonymous said...

Really? A thank you set? How many thank you's does one need? I have at least 10. Seems every sentiment set has one. NO THANKS PTI

AerynK said...

Picture is up

Anonymous said...

It's cute! Thanks for the link. I can't wait to get my package....a little Christmas gift to myself.

AerynK said...

It was a nice surprise. Although I have to admit that at first, before I read the back, I was a little disturbed that I'd somehow bought something without intending. I was just on a stamp organization mission -hence the extra labels- not a whole "I NEED STAMPS!!!!" mission, hehehe

Anonymous said...

Bribing people with free set? People who ordered before the release or after and don't get it are going to be so cut lol

Anonymous said...

I have a feeling a lot of people are going to be upset b/c they ordered before or a few days after the release and won't get the free set. I ordered on the 15th, right before midnight, so I should get one. A free set is a good intention, but they aren't going to win over the customers that haven't shopped with them for months due to poor customer service. I don't know... the people who ordered are going to love the free set, but those who didn't are going to feel left out. Instead of spending money on a free set, they should have used that money to hire someone to help out in the warehouse, an extra customer service rep to answer e-mails, and install a phone line in the warehouse!

Anonymous said...

I am curious and wondering why they included a free set in Dec release orders, but still haven't managed to send out all the Anniversary sets. Weird really.

Anonymous said...

22:03, I so agree with you. Put the money where it will help the most, not trying to win over some people with a free set.

And to do this when they can't get the anniversary sets out is f'ing unbelievable.

The packaging says "As another sucessful year for Papertrey Ink comes to a close, we wanted to take the opportunity to thank you, our valued customer, for your support and loyalty."

And yes, there is a typo!!!! I love that!

Anonymous said...

05:01 are you for real LOL a typo!! How unprofessional!

Anonymous said...

Eww. The idea of Mona on the PTI team just made me throw up in my mouth a little.

Anonymous said...

I can see the Thank You set back firing on them. And damn that Betsy Veldman for making me want that freaking loopy die.

AerynK said...

I ordered before release and got it. Just to clear that up.

But I agree, while it was a nice surprise to see in the box, I'm not "won over" by any means. It seems a total meaningless gesture especially in the face of people not receiving things that they *paid* for. It's a lot like that free crop back that SC was supposed to include in their kits, and yet only some got them.

Anonymous said...

5:01, where's the typo?

AerynK said...

SucCessful.

Anonymous said...

Woah Aeryn, and you still got it?! I bet if some of the ladies on the forum realized that they'd be pretty pissed.

Anonymous said...

That is such a good point that someone made above about why they aren't using that money to hire more help or getting those anniversary sets to those poor people!

What an odd business decision! It's right out of their bad-decision-making playbook though!! Do basically THE OPPOSITE of what would make sense.

Anonymous said...

So when will the sc crop bag be coming? We got the card promising it but it's still not arrived in my parcel for the last few months.

AerynK said...

That's why I thought it was weird too. I don't need a free stamp. I'll take it, sure, but I don't need a free stamp. I'd much rather have the gurantee that if I have any issues with anything I purchase I have an owner standing there ready to help me.

Plugging Rusty from oozak.com for this reason. He's inredibly dilligent and great at what he does.

Anonymous said...

The loopy bow die makes no sense to me - you can easily cut strips in a paper cutter and attach them with a brad or punch through and sew a button on top.

Anonymous said...

You are so right Aeryn. I want to buy from people I trust. That's all people are asking for. I don't want to worry every time I buy something from you.

I have bought from oozak before. Good company.

Anonymous said...

Now people are angry about a gift?

AerynK said...

Not angry, just confused. I wonder why I got a free stamp set when there are still those that are due anniversary sets they paid for. I wonder why I got a free stamp set when a defective die still takes 6-8 weeks to be replaced. I wonder why I got a free stamp set when the gal that won the Christmas stamps is still SOL as far as her package goes.

Angry? No, not at all. Confused? Completely and utterly. It just seems there are so many more things they need to devote their time and money to than (apparently) randomly placing free stamps in boxes.

Anonymous said...

I'd like to have that set. I was traveling and wasn't able to buy on the 15th, even though I have ordered every month for the last 18 months. That sucks. The bigger image would be perfect for me.... love it. I agree with folks here and on the forum though, I'd be ticked if I didn't have my anniversary set, or if I had been waiting on an order that they messed up, or hadn't received a prize package from months ago....

Anonymous said...

Agreeing so much with what you have said so far Aeryn, this is so weird they decide to do this.as I mean sure it is nice to get a freebie but I'm puzzled... They have a ton off problems going on and yet their way of solving it is to stuff customer mouths with a free stamp set, all when kneowing fully that some have been waiting in the anniversary set for months and months, very strange company and bunch of people. I don't understand their logic o.o

Anonymous said...

What confuses me is why you all keep complaining about how awful they are, YET YOU STILL KEEP GIVING THEM YOUR MONEY??????????

Anonymous said...

14:07 I'm not anymore but I can see why people would, the stamp designs are good.just julie and Jennifer and the other one sucks.

Anonymous said...

Is the thread on the winner of the December stamps and missing package still around? I'd like to read it.

Anonymous said...

THANK YOU 14:07. I haven't ordered from those assholes in months. You people are all a bunch of crackpots for posting how shitty they are and then ordering...then BITCHING because you might not get the free set. Retards...

Anonymous said...

I'm not giving them any more money and I haven't had any problems like other people. But if people are willing to take the risk, I don't have a problem with it. As long as they make positive changes. But I'm losing faith that they can. I think they are incapable of it.

Anonymous said...

Damn straight,18.27. I'm waiting for the release of new stamps by market street stamps, very excited and hope they care more about the customer than they will ever with nichole&friends. Ordered from wplus9 and even though it said there they ship in 48 hours they shipped it out almost immediately! Ah so excited, I also already received my MFT December order already, no problems.

Anonymous said...

Please no Kwerner on PTI DT! She's a self conscious basket case. And cards very similar to one another.

Anonymous said...

Really, why is KWerner such a big deal? I have nothing against her, but her cards are so simple...and similar.

Anonymous said...

I think she has some beautiful designs and creative ideas.

Anonymous said...

If people are not happy with a company, then it is their right to stop ordering. But what good does it do to slam the company? Move on if you are not wanting to support them.

PTI smacker said...

All I know is I hate when kwerner's cat keeps coming in her videos and meowing like its mating season.

01:59 those two points have nothing to do with one another, people can stop ordering yes that's their prerogative but it's also other people's right to voice out their complaints, disdain and discuss about the shortcomings. If you don't like to read what is written here you are welcome to leave just as others are welcome to visit and write. Thanks.

It's easy enough to stuff a freebie into a order. But it's hard work to figure out everyone's anniversary set. So all you beotches STFU. :P

Anonymous said...

Don't be butthurt that we have a community here, 05.30

Anonymous said...

06:43 ooh people who ordered before release are not gunna like the sound of that :)

Anonymous said...

I'd really like PTI to get their shit together so I can order again. I haven't ordered since my Stamp A Fair order took 3 weeks to get to me.

I love their products but those are some dumb fucken business women. Who in their right mind thought it was a good idea to send a thank you stamp set to only 1500 people, when they can't get their anniversary sets mailed or product that had been paid for mailed?

For Lice Girl, who I miss, FUCKING MORANS!

Anonymous said...

The fucking moran (lolz) cknutti really needs to STFU and sit the fuck down. She's honestly the most annoying member on the forum right now.

http://forum.papertreyink.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=26816

Well, the Pti changes will be good enough when people all get their freaking anniversary sets and stop getting that shipping notice that means nothing while their order sits in the warehouse rotting. It will be good enough when their CS person actually stops being a snarky bitch on their own forum. It will be good enough when there is a CS person who actually knows what is going on instead of Jennifer going of let me check with the warehouse, let me call Julie who takes forever to get shit done. They need to get more packers and not reject people who volunteered, telling them they wont fit in.. I could go on. I stop buying. Now I might also stop visiting the forum cause with these sheeple starting to get bribed by their holidays sets and starting to sing Pti praises (? Wtf for), makes my blood boil.

This line in one of the comments on that thread above makes me pee my pants, I'm laughing so hard!

"When are they going to learn how much damage their poor CS is doing them?"

When you people STOP BUYING THEIR PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!!!! That's when they'll get it! When Heifer Heady can't make the mortgage payment on her estate, THAT'S when they'll get it!

Anonymous said...

Merry Christmas smackers!

The amount of ass kissing on the forum seems to be at an all time high.

Anonymous said...

Do you know who really chaps my ass? Chan Vuong. I bought the 365 Cards magazine and she probably has over 20 cards featured.

Do they really have to feature so many cards by one person, surely they could feature 10 of her cards and another 10 by 'unknown' designers, there are a lot of talented gals out there that submit (I'll admit I ain't one of them!) and it would be nice if they got to be feautured too.

Oh yeah, Happy Holidays Beetches x x

Anonymous said...

Agreed 12:24.... too many of the same names over and over. I don't even buy those magazines anymore because every card looks the same, too.

Anonymous said...

Not only the same people but too much PTI. I like to see other stamp companies represented.

Anonymous said...

ITA agree, too much PTI and too many of the same people.

Anonymous said...

do they pay those mags or something? :\

Anonymous said...

Is anyone else bothered by the cards in magazines that basically feature no stamping? Seems like so many of the embellishments and focal points are pre-printed die cuts. The backgrounds are patterned paper and maybe, just maybe, the sentiment will be stamped.

Anonymous said...

15:51...YES! I hate when I see a card and I am like wow, that is really good.. then I look at the supplies and its a diecut or sticker. really? really? a sticker? irritates me.

Anonymous said...

Has anyone seen the new Hero Arts catalog yet? BORRRRRINNNNGGG! If I didn't know any better, I'd swear it's a reprint of last year. Same ol' stuff. *yawn*

Who's got stuff on sale this week? I've seen emails from Ellen Hutson (save 20% with code count2011) and Flourishes (25% off with code XMAS11). OK, I admit I ordered from both. Anything else out there to spend my money on?

Hey, PTI, look at the impact of offering sales! Money spent!

Anonymous said...

06.24 MFT has sales too, along with the stores affiliated with splitcoast- just go to their forums and you can see the codes!

Simon Says Stamps code: WINTER12

Smackers, enjoy it, I didn't have it when I made 2 huge orders a couple of weeks ago :(

One of my favorite internet moments EVER was when Ted, on SCS, lamented that people, upon finding out that he is a papercrafter, sometimes question his 'manliness.' Really? You are a 40-something single male stamper with a stamping blog, FFS. I have no questions at all about your orientation.

Have some xmas money to blow and really wish PTI'd have a sale. I'd be all over it with ALL my money, but with every other store offering some sort of percentage off I just keep looking around.

cropstop.com has new memory box dies coming in and the 10% off coupon is MFF, minimum spend is $30 but you'll have no trouble there i think lol

what can i say, pti is not really fantastic with plans to take even more of our money :| you can just tell with their shitty cs

Well, I find it shocking when people think I'm straight. At work today, I was talking about babies with a customer and I was saying that I was ready mentally, but not financially. She said something to the effect of, "It okay to wait. Plus you NEED a WIFE." Err, no, I need a husband. Preferably Ryan Gosling.

Anonymous said...

No way, bitch! Ryan's all mine!
Hehe!

So....Ted's NOT a lumberjack?

Anonymous said...

Trell, LOVE your Pinterest Baking & Desserts boards!!! I am going to attempt at least 2 of the recipes this week!

Anonymous said...

Trell, and 20.06 - Can we have sharesies since we're all fellow smackers here? Need me a piece of Gosling too.

Anonymous said...

20:06 here- what kind of kinkiness are you into, 23:13?
(totally kidding with you and Trell!)

Anonymous said...

23.13 here! I'm totally vanilla :D My idea: we can split up the week so Ryan can have Sundays off, how thoughtful is this?

On PTI smack: what is this? Did the holiday season make people a little less smack...ish? Too much ass kissing on the forum. Barf. Still think they are dumb for giving out free stamps for Christmas instead of solving the problem of other people getting their anniversary sets... Sure, I get to get a free set but I *still* feel indignant for people who haven't gotten their anniversary ones. It must be one hell of an annoying wait.

Thanks for the heads up on market street stamps. I ordered there 30 minutes ago and my order is already listed as shipped. I love their background stamps!

I for one am spreading out my Christmas money to companies completely other than PTI. My last order was just for the labels so I can get my stamps out of those STUPID CD cases. Everyone probably went so silent cos of the holidays, but hopefully they'll be back to properly complaining right where PTI can see them, cos they seem to ignore whatever *we* say.

Aeryn, what stamp storage system are you using? I'm not happy with the CDs either. I use the Tim Holtz stamp pockets for my WMS and will probably start using that system for Hero Arts and other clear stamp sets. The thought of taking apart all those PTI CD cases ..... ugh!!!

AerynK said...

I'm using the TH stamp pockets. Love how it's coming out. I bought 30 of them things for my PTI sets and yet they fit more than one set in them, depending on how you do it. I do it a bit at a time, and yeah, it is a HUGE pain, but it comes out so nice.

I've pictures up on a "page" at the top of my blog, if you wanna look. I also plan on making a small "clip it up" type thing with a wooden dowel and clips to hang the TH pockets from in my closet.

Don't we all need to keep ordering PTI products so we can fulfill this wishlist to finish the house that stamps built:

Question of the day, how much product is too much?

Anonymous said...

Trell, do you mean in your stash? I guess when you can't remember if you own it, where you put it or why you bought it, you might have too much. Also, if it exceeds your storage space and makes your home a candidate for the team at Hoarders!

I know I have too much ribbon. Especially since I now use it very infrequently. Time to purge.

AerynK said...

I think it depends on the person, and their storage. Too much stuff around me I get skittish, but conversely, if I don't have options I stagnate. I need a nice balance. I don't need 900 types of ribbon, but a ton of stamp images so I have limitless choices as to what to colour? Yeah, that's perfect for me. I think we all, probably, have one avenue in our crafting we're really jazzed about. Dies, stamps, paper, ribbon, what have you. You can go all conservative in general, but in that one area you go nuts.

I go nuts in stamp images I can colour. But since I *know* that that is my thing, I make sure that I have adequate storage and that if I exceed that in any way, I purge the less-used items to someone who will use them.

I think stash is all about balance. But then, I'm ADHD and OCD, so I could just be crazy.

Too much product on a project. It had me thinking.

Trell, I like your new picture on the forum, but I hope your cute puppy didn't mind not being included!

Care to name those designers that you think use too much product Trell?

Sometimes I think Melissa Phillips uses too much but most of the time she seems to balance it perfectly.

I hate those cards that look like someone vomited a bunch of product on it for the sake of it (Prima anyone?)
