I bet you are right. I can't see Rick commenting on the DT and Mish, although I would love to have the inside scoop. Hopefully he will be back when the CS problems start rolling in again.

That song totally put me off seeing the movie. Finally saw it when it was shown on TV, and I could hit the 'mute' button.

Speaking of Kristina Werner, does anyone else see messages on her blog that she's hot-linking photos? Oooooh!

Anonymous said...

Maybe she is like me. I have no idea what hot linking is. Looked it up and makes no sense since all the sites and blog hosts I use are free anyway.

Anonymous said...

When did junky-looking become so popular? A card with 18 things stuck to it in layers and bits and pieces is not likely to be easily mailable and looks like a hoarder's desk to me.

Anonymous said...

I agree with 19:14..
If Mish wants out - say it out straight to NH and don't bother posting for PTI.
Her blog post was lame.
Unless it's all about the $$$??
I don't get it...

Anonymous said...

Saying "spend more time with family" is standard. Don't think it's a big deal. Seems some of the smackers are desperate for there to be more trouble in PTI than there is.

Anonymous said...

I certainly don't know if there's anything going on between Mishie and Nichole. But just what we saw, one day she's spending more time with family and the next day she's doing the Project Life thing which IMO appears to be a lot of work. So it looks fishy. And then she's not on the forum at all like once in the last 3-4 months. And then her complete lackluster project yesterday. Can you even call that a project? I can see her being done with PTI soon. Just depends on how many more sets she collaborated with Nichole on.

Truth is Hostage said...

Oh no, Kristina Werner knows exactly what hot linking is. When I first found her blog I remember reading a huge dissertation about how she didn't want people hot linking back to her site because of band width and what not and that if they wanted to post one of her photos they should copy it to their own computer and upload it that way, making sure to give her full and proper credit ONLY after they've asked her permission and that if she found out someone was hot linking she would send them a nasty gram.

Put a very bad taste in my mouth for that pretentious beyotch.

Not that protecting your bandwidth is pretentious, just her tone and the attitude she conveys is very "peasant, i'm better than you".

Anonymous said...

OK anyone else having problems with the forum?

Anonymous said...

seems to be working again

Truth is Hostage said...

Nice to see KW using colors other than kraft all of a sudden. Or maybe she has been....I'm just so grossed out by her attitude that I don't visit very often anymore.

Anonymous said...

Dang that Dawn and her blasted Kelly green and turquoise! I am not going to her blog again.

Anonymous said...

That Trendy Tree whatever set is tempting. But my will is strong!

Anonymous said...

MIsh'a strawberry post with just a tag was a bit under-whelming - wonder if she got the dies in her pre-release package. Maybe she only qualifies for the 'stamps' since that is what she helped design.

Anonymous said...

I liked the purple card on Nichole's blog but why the hell does she need 6 photos of it?

The last one, brown, looks awful.

Anonymous said...

This is the pretention that I just can't stand and it's rampant on PTI blogs. From Heather:

"The multi colored background was created by using an ink blending tool to apply color to white cardstock."

It's called SPONGING. Asses.

Anonymous said...

The PTI forum is really, really quiet. Looks like the DT have been told to come up with ideas to get it going; like 'what's your favorite stamp', inspiration to get you going' etc.
Guess even PTI know that haven't been very inspiring this month.

Anonymous said...

I do love that Dawn used the berry basket like the ones on Etsy!!! HA! But - what she put in it looks stupid. Too much, too tall for the basket. It's like the basket was just an afterthought. Kind of weird because it isn't even a 'berry' theme anyway.

Anonymous said...

I think that the same person posted the last 10 or so comments. They all sound the same.

Anonymous said...

Have trouble coping with all those splatters that Dawn uses on her cards. Not just Dawn; have seen other designers use it and it just looks messy.

Maybe it's just me; I'm not really into the splatter look.
Looks like an effort to cover a mistake or something.

Anonymous said...

heh. maybe he/she is lonely cuz nobody else is posting.

Anonymous said...

Yep - Melissa Bickford went there with the bird. A get well card.

If I got a pooping/farting bird get well card I would laugh and assume it is a joke.

Anonymous said...

I'm not into splatters either.

Anonymous said...

I think the splatter look IS an effort to cover a mistake. At least that's how it began. People started using the spray mists left and right, and the darn things never spray a perfect fine even mist all the time. They splatter randomly at the most inopportune times. So the people decided to go with it and say, "uh yeah, I meant to do that." And then they DID start splattering it on purpose just to keep up with the trend.

Anonymous said...

So, is the strawberry tag it for Mish this release? She had the whole concept for this set but thats all she can make out of it? Really?

Anonymous said...

I don't like the asymmetrical look of the new garden variety frame. I think that it would have looked better if it wasn't so top heavy. It looks too modern.

Anonymous said...

Michelle posted that she is busy with tournaments and a hurricane (sorry, too lazy to go back and read for sure) and that she would have strawberry projects splattered throughout the month.

Anonymous said...

I agree. It is rather top heavy. The other one looks like an upside-down vase, too.

Anonymous said...

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Yes! Exactly. When it's on a DT blog and I'm raising an eyebrow it's one thing. If an "average" person gave me this card I'd be thinking, "WTH did you spill on this? Gross."

Anonymous said...

"splattered throughout the month", LOL

Anonymous said...

Someone needs to combine the pooping birds with the ink splatters. Maybe.

Anonymous said...

she would have strawberry projects SPLATTERED throughout the month.
=========
(Emphasis mine) LOL.

Anonymous said...

^^Great minds think alike.

I know we're beating that poor shittin' bird to death but I just can't help it. It's so bad, and so obvious. Yet PTI can look right through any elephant in the room, can't they?

Anonymous said...

Well, PTI is not the only company who has released a pooping bird. Someone posted a link on the previous thread to another one with a longer tail.

Anonymous said...

tournaments and a hurricane
==============
I'm even lazier because I am really curious now and still don't care to go look. What kind of tournaments can one play in a hurricane?? I think I'd be stamping. If I were inspired, that is.

Anonymous said...

@ 6:20 True, so true. And they are all equally bad, IMO.

Anonymous said...

Whoops, I mean the previous page of this thread.

From Mish's blog -

This week we have 3 track meets + I'm one of only 3 parents that volunteered to make cookies and work the concession at one of the track meets. I have cookies in the oven as I type this. Plus we have tornado watches already issued for Friday/Saturday...my anxiety is already creeping in. So forgive me if I'm absent for the PTI countdown week but you can be sure that I'll have more fun Strawberry Patch goodies for you all month long.

Anonymous said...

She really seems checked out, doesn't she? And she's using the PTI release to promote her own stuff: instead of using the PTI tag dies, she uses the tags that she sells on etsy. I don't know if it's so much a falling out with NH or just simply wanting to make a buck. (for herself, not PTI)

Anonymous said...

To me, the splatters look like the evidence at a homicide crime scene.

Anonymous said...

I don't go to Maile's blog anymore because her photos bother me. They are sharpened or overexposed or something, but they get those jaggedy edges and I don't like it.

Dawn's spatters look awful. And those bags are tall and falling out of the basket. She's so dumb. Sunshine this.

Anonymous said...

I do like the new color though. And I like the trees but not enough to order them. Another thing like the basket, I like it, but it'll get used once if that. Probably forgotten about. Did you see where Erin said they didn't get the new color in their boxes?

Anonymous said...

I like the new color too, but can do without it.

Anonymous said...

For cripes sake, a tornado watch means conditions are favorable for the development of severe weather. She lives in Kansas...I live in the middle also, a watch means pay attention folks. Trust me, life goes on. Now, if the sirens start blaring get thy self to the basement. Just saying, we don't sit around in a dither because there is a potential for bad weather.

Ted said: "I can see telling the teacher that on one day to eat a lighter breakfast. Then surprise him/her with a homemade breakfast (wrapped to keep the heat). You bring in a toaster and toast some bread for them and they put on strawberry preserves."

So. Who wants to come with me and bring their toaster and make some hot toast and jam for Ted in his classroom before school one morning? I'll fight you for who gets to feed it to him, even.

Anonymous said...

Posts like that are good for my diet because I just lost my appetite.

Anonymous said...

Ted has a great idea. Teachers are so poorly paid and treated badly by some of the public. Where my kids went to school, the parents came down to the school and washed all the teachers' cars on Friday afternoons and also left each a treat for the weekend. It was wonderful and also taught the children something really important.

Anonymous said...

I agree, it's a nice thing to do for a teacher. But the way Ted wrote about bringing in a toaster and toasting the bread for the teacher, combined with the idea of doing that for HIM, kind of skeeved me out. :-P

Anonymous said...

I don't mean to pick on the guy but he has a way with words that just creeps me out.

We love to do some kind of lunch or something for the teachers. Walking tacos are popular - just set it up in the teacher's lounge. And I like to bring in a special breakfast treat.

I think the car wash is a great idea!

So why is it that when Rick posted a comment and then locked a thread that I wasn't the least bit bothered and even found it helpful but when Nichole does the same thing, it just rubs me the wrong way?

Maybe it's the passive/aggressive tone in which she has handled things in the past? I wonder if I will be able to get over that?

Anonymous said...

^^^^
I know just what you mean.

It also got me looking at the post about the missing sentiment.

The last update she posted there was 4/3 and said they had to do the labels and should be able to ship them out that Friday. That was a week ago. I wonder if they went out.

Anonymous said...

What does she mean "daily improvements" being made to the store? Has anyone see daily improvement?

Anonymous said...

I can't believe NH locked that thread. How flipping rude!

Anonymous said...

Rick, maybe you should take over the locking of the threads.

Anonymous said...

The site improvements must be some deep fix shit because it still looks like a hot mess.

Can they pullleeeezzze fix the friggin multiple entries for items? And the crap ass thumbnails, lack of category links, and too-specific search function should have been addressed 2 releases ago!

Anonymous said...

Having to dig through all of the dies one by one is bad enough but I don't know why there are impression plates mixed in there. Especially when there is already a separate category for impression plates.

Anonymous said...

I'm kinda liking seeing all these people being pissy with PTI. I was pretty sure that I was some sort of pariah for doing it before, but now that they are, it validates me, makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Ah well, whatever helps me sleep at night.
And Nichole locking the thread. Damn, they are making sure no shitfire gets stirred up in their house.

Anonymous said...

Nichole is a twatwaffle who has not business being a business owner. What a passive agressive bitch!

Omathgoddess said...

Paranoid much, NH?

Where are you seeing the new garden variety frame?

crs16 said...

Well darn. That new color is absolutely going to push me over to buy. Can I still post here if I JUST buy the color collection?

====================

You can post as long as it's not to complain about how long it takes, how your order was fucked up, or how it was defective.

Truth is Hostage said...

crs16, i'm with you. that is a very nice shade of purple.

btw, how on earth do they get away with calling that pink ass color lavender moon????

Beats the heck outta me. Soooo not lavender.

I may have to get the new color though.

Anonymous said...

If you look at Melissa P's post here -

http://lilybeanpaperie.typepad.com/lilybeans_paperie/2012/04/strawberry-patch.html

near the bottom one of her tags uses it.

Truth is Hostage said...

i just have to share this excellent shopping experience i just had a shoppumpkinspice.com.

i placed my order and the total was like $1 and change over the free shipping limit. well a few of the sheets of paper i ordered happened to be out of stock even though it didn't reflect that when i placed the order. so i got an email saying they've refunded the cost of the 4 sheets of paper.

i noticed that this refund would make my order not high enough to result in free shipping, so I asked what they would do about the shipping.

she emailed me back saying "Thank you for the question. Shipping is still absolutely FREE for your order."

Do you know the nightmare this same scenario would have been had the players been different???

Anonymous said...

Those of you who use amuse and/or impress inks, how do they compare to versa magic chalk inks???

Truth is Hostage said...

Thanks for the link, 11:00. yes, that looks much better than NH's posts showing how Wisteria compares to lavender and plum.

you gals can smack me all you want, but some of that wisteria is going to make it's way to my house. Some day. Not on release night, but eventually.

Anonymous said...

Well I'll be. I had already scrolled down to that seed packet frame and didn't even notice it. Not impressed.

I can't believe you guys are folding over a color of all things!

Anonymous said...

I think A Muse is a lot like Versmagic.

Anonymous said...

I looked at the tag from 11:00's post. Melissa calls it lavender moon in her description. Is it the new color? It looks just like another purple. Not that exciting imo.

Anonymous said...

Lavender Moon is old.

Anonymous said...

uh-oh. Wisteria hysteria.

No!

I don't think Mish quit or stepped back, and then started project life. I thought she was already doing project life and then was asked to be on the Pl team. I don't know, it doesn't matter to me one way or another... It's her life, her blog.

Anonymous said...

Mish was already doing project life but probably didn't step back from PTI until after she was asked to be on the PL team.

Like you said, it's her life.

Anonymous said...

It would be lovely if you would use punctuation once in a while craftycindy.

Anonymous said...

Did you notice this?

http://www.wplus9.com/stock-and-website-updates/

I am really impressed with the communication that Dawn provides. She is definitely taking away what not to do from PTI.

Anonymous said...

^^^ It's as simple as that to earn respect from your customers. On the other hand, pretending there is *nothing* wrong and continuing to lock threads and ban customers seems to take so much more effort. Go figure.

Anonymous said...

I just saw this at the bottom of the page!

"PTI smack: ink refunds, shipping problems served with a side of cold customer service. "

Anonymous said...

WTH? KW's blog now shows pictures rather than the hot-linking message. Oh well, doesn't matter. I unsubbed from her anyway. Last nerve.

Love the new PTI color. A lavender that is actually LAVENDER and not PINK. Rename that frigging Lavender Moon - because it's not purple, dammit! Name it Orchid Moon. Orchid is pinker than lavender, IMO. Trell, you're the color man - what do you think?

And Mishie, Mishie, Mishie. You obviously didn't grow up in tornado alley. Those of us who did know to keep an eye on the skies but not to sit around wringing our hands and getting our knickers in a twist over an advisory from NOAA. Until they say "tornado WARNING" for your neck of the woods there's no need to get all panicky. Something is obviously up. It was like she was flipping NH the bird with that post, wasn't it?

Anonymous said...

I felt that Mish was just saying that she is too busy for PTI. She maybe isn't really all that concerned about the weather.Who knows?

Anonymous said...

Does Ted still have is own forum?

Anonymous said...

Can someone link the seed packet die you are talking about, please?

Nero said...

I like the strawberry set. I like that you can just stamp solid images over it, on days you don't feel like copic-ing for a half hour just to get a tag done. ;) That's the reason I like the PTI set over the flourishes one. The basket is cute too, and yes it would take a bit of work to get one done, but I think for the occasional teacher gift/hostess gift, it's doable.

I like Maile's tree dies ($8 too, not bad). I don't think one needs the stamps necessarily, so that's cool.

Everything else - barf.

Anonymous said...

It's starting to become the AudreyNicole show on the forum. I wonder when NH will give her a DT position?

I think she is looking for a DT position
