PTI stands for Papertrey Ink. This is a collective smack blog and Papertrey Ink review page. Papertrey Ink's continuously poor customer service has lead to a page dedicated to discussion of this stamp company and recommendations for alternative stamp companies. Minimal censorship here- I prefer to leave it up to posters' discretion.
The opinions posted on this blog belong to our visitors and we are not paid for our honest reviews ;)
Love this, I am joining you. ------- Maybe another think we could do is quit advertising for them. I will no longer list their products on my blog posts even if I use some of their products, such a cardstock, etc. I am just leaving those things blank on the list or saying "black cardstock", or "designer papers from my stash".
Another thing we could do on our individual blogs is post cards that look like what PTI is about to release and show people where they can get similar products like this:
The funny thing about this is what if one of the handslappers does have a big problem and can't get it resolved? Certainly they won't post it on the forum. -----
Dear Pricecheck, I hope that you don't have any problems with your release night order. Oh wait, I do.
I stopped using their products on blog posts a while back. I also will not use them on challenges, contests and magazine submittals. I may use them for my personal cards (which typically go to people who wouldn't know a stamp from a stamp pad) so I'm ok with that.
the problem with the handslappers is that they too have more than likely had CS issues too but they will put up with it - accept it - as long 'as it eventually worked out'.
I LOVE the idea of posting cards using stamps that are similar to Papertrey's and not using the name even if you do use PTI products. No more free advertising.
Another thing we could do on our individual blogs is post cards that look like what PTI is about to release and show people where they can get similar products like this:
Anyone else notice that those getting the Papertrey Make it Monday Shout Outs on Facebook are those on the forum who are supporting PTI unconditionally? Hnmmnn.
I think this comment on the Yelp page is totally from someone related to PTI:
I" love the quality of PTI's stamps, dies and papers. The design team is the best. It is a small company that is owned by 3 women. It is an on-line only store. The company provides a forum for its many customers. The shipping is not the fastest but it is well worth the wait. When I had an issue with a couple of whippings, PTI corrected my concern. I rarely order from other crafting companies because PTI has everything I need."
How convenient that it was posted today, when someone posted a link to the Yelp page on the forum.
Why can't they spend time finding people's packages/anniversary sets/refunds instead of counting how many people want whoever to be banned on the forum?
Seriously one of the most ass backwards things I've read in customer service, ever:
From Jenn (on the forum) regarding the Gift Cards fiasco: If you entered a GC into the comments box on a recent order, please email us that you did so.
Seriously? Did they really lose an entire order database or what??? How do they NOT know this?
My guess is that you have to get out of comments mode. Press the title of the post ("Space") and then you should be able to see all posts, although you may have to press the "Newest" link to see past the initial 200.
Noticing that Jenn purposely did not answer Barbara's question about the website. Barbara mentioned it a second time and still no response and yet Jenn is all over the place emailing people about THEIR behavior on the forum.
It appears people have no right to know if the site is working or not. They are the ones who will take the risk?
That tells me they have nothing left to lose and are going to get the most $ out of the customers they can before they go belly up. This must be why they don't care about solving issues like the anniversary sets or taking care of the backlog of complaints. It is called "take the money and run". It is apparent to me that they really have no intention of doing anything but holding on by the skin of their teeth as long as possible with doing as LITTLE as possible to cost themselves time or money.
I think the creator of the blog might be international and at work? I am only guessing but as I am international sometimes the posting of new space sort of fits our timeline. just guessing.
So you might need to wait a few hours for new space
Thanks for the Smack, challenge blog Linky on the side.... Love the first choice, but no time to play for me until like...2 weekends from now! Sewing BIG curtains for my friend's theater school (25ft x 15ft long)... not that you all care what I do with my time! LMAO
So tired of scrolling.....I thought space was set up ahead of time......sigh....sorry to say really annoying. Seems she would be better on top of this, no?
I heart Donna c. Just visited her blog and it's a riot how brazen people are being about their distaste for pti. Maybe brazen isn't the right word. Bold is more like what I'm thinking. Bold, tired of the lies, tired of staying silent, no longer fearing the pearl clutchers. Just goes to show people will take crap from a company for only so long. And I think there are so many customers turned smackers who have been excessively patient with PTI
Pti is but a tiny fish in the vast ocean of online craft stores. That speaks loudly of their arrogance...something I cannot abide.
How long can you expect to stay in business when the words "I suggest you don't shop with us" fall so easily from the owners mouth? (or whatever it was that Julie emailed to that chick who copied the transmission here.)
I'm totally amazed by this company...and not in a good way.
Great card. Love the pink pocket. So many companies with pockets out before PTI. She did a good job and it looks like she is into doing a PTI card with as little PTI as possible too. This kind of trend can make people rethink if they really need PTI or not.
Patterned packs Heart-2-Heart #2 Framed-Out #2 Think Big Favorites #13 I'd LIKE Tremendous Treats, but I really just want the monkey image...and can't see spending $24 just for that.
So that's it for now. Just a few $5 sets and some paper. Oh...and the new inks.
' Hi Folks, We apologize for delivery delays that may be seen on some of our products. Our new Reflection Boutique dies and Deco Lace Corners have gone off the charts in orders. We’ve hired more people to help fill orders and we ask for your patience while we chip away at our backlog. We will not be doing a March release in order to avoid further delays in fulfilling orders. Thank you for your patience. We are trying to put together a store locater internationally so that local re-sellers will be able to fill your orders as well. Thank you!' - Cherry Lynn. Pti needs to learn from CL
I'm truly enjoying the design and layout of your site. It's a very easy on the eyes which makes it much more enjoyable for me to come here and visit more often. Did you hire out a designer to create your theme? Great work! Have a look at my site : games online

When I see cards posted that look like PTI but don't use PTI products, I am going to link them for my readers on my blog.
How about a blog called,"Who Needs PTI, Anyway?", lol!

Great card!!!
"it isn't what we say or think that defines us, it's what we do"
That's a Jane Austen quote in the Simply Jane stamp set
IRONY
Anyone else notice that those getting the Papertrey Make it Monday Shout Outs on Facebook are those on the forum who are supporting PTI unconditionally? Hnmmnn.
Beautiful card! I am feeling so inspired now! :-)
I want to get the balloon die and the strip of stars die so I can make boobs with star pasties. Hee heee boobs.
I wish a newbie would ask who they should go to when CS doesn't have an answer or does not resolve a situation.

It would be fun to do a MIM card using non-Papertrey stamps! Lol!
a couple of whippings?
A family member or a loyal PTI customer that just hasn't had a problem yet.
Oh I would love to post that Jane Austen quote on the forum! That would be awesome!
I love Blake Shelton on the voice!!!!
All choked up watching the voice....such great hearted people...
queen of the smackers...
we need fresh space! (please)
Why can't they spend time finding people's packages/anniversary sets/refunds instead of counting how many people want whoever to be banned on the forum?
new space, please.
"whippings'??

They are TEN days behind on email. WTF?
I can't see any comments past 200? where are they hiding......not that I will be able to see the answer :P
ok dumbass I just found the other comments :P

I don't think they're going belly up any time soon but they certainly are losing customers.
Wow, Ted is posting like crazy. His little club must be boring tonight.
If I find PTI stamps in the future that I just cannot live without, I will find them via the for sale/trade thread or ebay.
Yoda the wise, I love your comment made on 11 March 2012 15:31
mmm.....Yoda the Wise can't remember the comment and can't be bothered looking back. It was probably good tho!
I want to spend my $100 in rewards and then be done, too. It's hard to leave that free money just sitting there, you know?
$100 in rewards? Holy spending, Batman!
Not sure if this girl is a smacker or not but found this card using Wplus9 pocket dies
http://scrapawayg3.blogspot.com.au/2012/03/yours-truly.html
don't know if Gayarti is a smacker....but would have loved to see YOURS TRUELY with a middle finger
Great card. Love the pink pocket. So many companies with pockets out before PTI. She did a good job and it looks like she is into doing a PTI card with as little PTI as possible too. This kind of trend can make people rethink if they really need PTI or not.
Yoda, I officially spent $201 at Memory Box tonight. Take that, PTI!
And here is Ted "talking with his wallet":
Well, definitely:
Patterned packs
Heart-2-Heart #2
Framed-Out #2
Think Big Favorites #13
I'd LIKE Tremendous Treats, but I really just want the monkey image...and can't see spending $24 just for that.
So that's it for now. Just a few $5 sets and some paper.
Oh...and the new inks.
*****************
Maybe he forgot which forum he was in.
Naked Ink, oh man.. I am going to be sorry I asked but link to the memory box dies please.
Never mind Naked ink.
