It just proves to me that the forum isn't there for the customers (and I get having ground rules for any forum, but IMO none of those were overstepped today), but for PTI to do whatever they wish with it and try to keep their "image" and if you sneeze in a way they don't like...poof! you're gone. Sick.
I think it's time that I go to my blog and edit out all of the free advertising that I've given them over the past few years. I'll leave the photos, but their name and links to the store are history.

It seems to me that users have been banned not for speaking their opinions, but for colluding to intentionally hurt PTI's business by way of negative posts on the forum. I believe they call that "tortious interference".

Well, a conspiracy theorist would say "What if SmackerIII *is* the PTI owners/Rick?!" But I think probably not; otherwise, more forum members would be gone. Someone is trying to stir the shit with Donna by saying that they are tracking IPs from here. Could they see cookies, though? Track where you were before you visited the forum? Hell, if they can't get a website running decently how can they even begin to track cookies on individual users. I'm not well-versed enough on cookies to even be able to answer that question.

They can track where you came from. So if you were here on this site and then went to their site, they can flag your IP that way. I have been a rabble rouser. But I keep my tabs open and don't go there from this site. And I haven't been banned...yet ;)

I was banned without warning a week or so ago. I have no regrets about my post. Its my honest opinion that they have gone completely into the toilet. I hope I shed light on that for at least a few people before I was booted. I had already stopped buying anyway.

A question--When you use Papertrey products on a blog and do not give credit, can they come after you? How is it any different from buying fabric or using paint and not telling the brands if you post photos of what you made on your blog?
Another thing... if you go to their FB page and click on everyone (right under the pics), you can see that several people have posted CS questions and are being ignored. I posted a reply to every single one of them telling them to join the forum. I feel so bad that they are being ignored and probably in the dark about what is going on.

I just found out that they have an area for customer recommendations on the right hand side of their FB page. There are 19 total and a couple of them are negative.
18:00, you are not required to list the supplies that you use when posting cards to your blog or in any gallery. They can't come after you.
The only time you may get into a grey area is when you sell cards and the company you use has an Policy requiring you to mention them on the back. But many do not follow that rule and nothing happens.
In case the PTI PTB are reading here, I just want to go on record as saying that I've purposely kept my opinions about the customer service issues to the forum and (anonymously) on this blog, until now. Today, I lost all respect for the company. I will be telling my story (and only my own story) far and wide. No more money, no more free advertising on my blog, and no more silence. By booting people from the forum, you've removed all ability for us to attempt to make our voices heard through channels that you control. So now we have to use other means.

OMG! I thought things were getting better but they have taken yet another downward turn ... so sad as I so want this company to succeed and become all the better despite or as a result from growing from the issues. :(
One thing I have seen people say a few times is that former PTI DT members even spoke up about their "customer service" email that was sent out...does anyone have a link to this? Which former DT members spoke up?
The former DT members that spoke up did so in the comments to a FB post by Becky Oehlers about the time of the March release. The ones I remember were Lauren Meaders, Geny Cassidy, and Niki Estes.

OK, I may be wrong here, but I believe that I read on a PTI complaint thread on SCS or another forum that that was one of us smackers posting the "Join the forum and ask!" posts on PTI's Facebook page, so that non-forum customers with issues wouldn't be left ignorant of Papertrey's ongoing problems and poor performance.

Sorry you guys that got "pruned" today by Nichole after Rick the Dick had a tantrum. Because I saw this coming last week when missyC and others were pruned. I had a feeling that this was going to be part of their 3 pronged strategy,
1. Employ DT cheerleaders to spread unicorns and rainbows and sunshiney up the forum, 2. Press delete on all the irksome email complaints 3. Ban the troublesome members and act like nothing happened except a small, vocal, mean-spirited bunch of hags got out of hand.
They never had any real intention of changing because the rot is too deeply ingrained, it's in the very roots of the business: Julie, Rick, Nichole, and I suspect, Dawn.
Just so you guys know to be very careful.....Even with a most basic understanding (Rick) they certainly can track the origin website of all incoming IP addresses and ban people that visit this blog that way.
So for instance if you are on this blog and click on your bookmark or type in the url for their forum, they can see which IPs came to them via this blog.
This is why when I am on a smack blog I always keep it in a seperate window and don't link to anywhere else from that same window. So watch out those that haven't been pruned yet to keep your browsing under control.
Solid advice. And may I add that perhaps anyone who has been banned and manages to start a new profile should keep their new ID and new threads/posts on the down-low, at least for a while?
This blog is obviously being read by a lot of folks, some of whom probably walk into a room with Darth Vader music following them.
It's also totally bogus to delete entire threads rather than just the offending posts. I've not known them do on any other board I've posted. They only delete entire threads either at the request of the OP or because the offensive post IS the OP. Otherwise, they just delelte the seperate posts that violate the TOS.
So it is quite clear to me that they are using this as an excuse to delete a whole thread that is in fact a terrible embarrassment to them. And that is because its existence is a stunning indictment of their ineptitude and inability to face head on with any degree of effectiveness the most mundane of CS issues.
I fully expect they will soon revert to telling everyone who posts to the board about an issue to "email CS" instead of providing help. And then my dears, you will have a kill situation where all new customer complaint threads (and perhaps members) are summarily deleted. Wanna take any bets??

I saw that people's questions were not being answered and I just told them what PTI has previously posted on their FB page. PTI went as far as telling people on FB that they will not answer CS questions there, that's what the forum is for.

The email came from a trusted PTI member whom I will not name. She knows A LOT about computers and such while I know nothing about that kind of thing.
I will also be removing all PTI from my Pinterest as that is also free advertising.
I think at this stage in the game Rick (and whoever else) is banning people they perceive stirring up shit. Plain and simple. No warnings, just gone.

The only time you may get into a grey area is when you sell cards and the company you use has an Policy requiring you to mention them on the back. But many do not follow that rule and nothing happens.

In case the PTI PTB are reading here, I just want to go on record as saying that I've purposely kept my opinions about the customer service issues to the forum and (anonymously) on this blog, until now. Today, I lost all respect for the company. I will be telling my story (and only my own story) far and wide. No more money, no more free advertising on my blog, and no more silence. By booting people from the forum, you've removed all ability for us to attempt to make our voices heard through channels that you control. So now we have to use other means.

OMG! I thought things were getting better but they have taken yet another downward turn ... so sad as I so want this company to succeed and become all the better despite or as a result from growing from the issues. :(

One thing I have seen people say a few times is that former PTI DT members even spoke up about their "customer service" email that was sent out...does anyone have a link to this? Which former DT members spoke up?
The former DT members that spoke up did so in the comments to a FB post by Becky Oehlers about the time of the March release. The ones I remember were Lauren Meaders, Geny Cassidy, and Niki Estes.

Couldn't help but notice this biotch, Carmen Moser posting on EVERYONE's question post "join the forum and ask", "you should join the forum and ask this there". WTF? That girl needs a smack down! The company FB page is perfectly acceptable place to ask questions!
OK, I may be wrong here, but I believe that I read on a PTI complaint thread on SCS or another forum that that was one of us smackers posting the "Join the forum and ask!" posts on PTI's Facebook page, so that non-forum customers with issues wouldn't be left ignorant of Papertrey's ongoing problems and poor performance.
I *think* that's the case. Maybe it was Guatelicia? I honestly can't remember; I've been hopping back and forth reading too many places today! LOL

Sorry you guys that got "pruned" today by Nichole after Rick the Dick had a tantrum. Because I saw this coming last week when missyC and others were pruned. I had a feeling that this was going to be part of their 3 pronged strategy,
1. Employ DT cheerleaders to spread unicorns and rainbows and sunshiney up the forum, 2. Press delete on all the irksome email complaints 3. Ban the troublesome members and act like nothing happened except a small, vocal, mean-spirited bunch of hags got out of hand.
They never had any real intention of changing because the rot is too deeply ingrained, it's in the very roots of the business: Julie, Rick, Nichole, and I suspect, Dawn.
Just so you guys know to be very careful.....Even with a most basic understanding (Rick) they certainly can track the origin website of all incoming IP addresses and ban people that visit this blog that way.
So for instance if you are on this blog and click on your bookmark or type in the url for their forum, they can see which IPs came to them via this blog.
This is why when I am on a smack blog I always keep it in a seperate window and don't link to anywhere else from that same window. So watch out those that haven't been pruned yet to keep your browsing under control.
What assholes. They must have had Guatelicia on a watch list.
WARNING: If you have so much as said "boo" on the board you are on a watch list for the big boot!!!
Solid advice. And may I add that perhaps anyone who has been banned and manages to start a new profile should keep their new ID and new threads/posts on the down-low, at least for a while?
This blog is obviously being read by a lot of folks, some of whom probably walk into a room with Darth Vader music following them.
It's also totally bogus to delete entire threads rather than just the offending posts. I've not known them do on any other board I've posted. They only delete entire threads either at the request of the OP or because the offensive post IS the OP. Otherwise, they just delelte the seperate posts that violate the TOS.
So it is quite clear to me that they are using this as an excuse to delete a whole thread that is in fact a terrible embarrassment to them. And that is because its existence is a stunning indictment of their ineptitude and inability to face head on with any degree of effectiveness the most mundane of CS issues.
I fully expect they will soon revert to telling everyone who posts to the board about an issue to "email CS" instead of providing help. And then my dears, you will have a kill situation where all new customer complaint threads (and perhaps members) are summarily deleted. Wanna take any bets??
Please tell me exactly how you are all helping?

Somehow I'm not suprised that Head IT Monkey Rick went on a banning free-for-all. He has proven skills in this area. Maybe it's supposed to cover-up the fact that he has zero skills in web site building.
I am sorry to those that were banned. This proves that PTI has no interest in expanding their petri dish experiment of delivering real customer service.

I saw that people's questions were not being answered and I just told them what PTI has previously posted on their FB page. PTI went as far as telling people on FB that they will not answer CS questions there, that's what the forum is for.

PTI sucks ...i order some stuff from them on 22nd of last month using all my rewards(as i wanted to say goodbye to them) the order got returned and still waiting for reshipping as they r saying they haven't received it...so so frustrated. Isn't their any organization where we can register complain against such services?
